Gina Rodez is a beautiful woman who has had her share of demons in the past. When her mother died when she was fifteen years old she was all alone in the world except for George Triplett, aka “Big G” who comes and sweeps her off her feet and gives her everything that a woman desires. Years after being together George made it his business to cheat and run the streets leaving Gina home alone most of the time. When she found out she was pregnant she felt as though life was worth living because she had someone to look after and take care of and most of all love her back. Gina gives birth to a son who was born with a birth defect called spinal bifida. When George found out about it he vowed to not accept the child into his home and made that clear to Gina. When her son Chance is kidnapped from the hospital it sends Gina over the edge. Deep in her mind she knows that George had something to do with it but he continues to lie to her even when she gets out of the hospital. When Gina finds the courage to leave George she meets Kingston who is a sexy wealthy private investigator with his own firm in Nashville. When they fall in love with each other Gina finally find the courage to trust again and tells Kingston about her son in which he volunteered his service to her. In the meantime George is on the hunt for Gina not because of his son but because of what she took from him.
1st read by this author. While I thought this story had an interesting storyline, there were several editing issues. The events were fast paced & kept me reading. The characters pulled out various emotions. I really liked Kingston & Gina for their sincerity was felt throughout the story & they deserve happiness. George & Samantha kept the story balanced on the other end of the spectrum with their miserable words & actions. I do plan on reading the next part for I want to see how this story turns out.
This book started of with errors but eventually redeemed itself. The storyline was good but it dragged a little. The Book picked back up nicely toward the end that would make me give part 2 a try. I can't wait because this should be interesting
The story line to this book was good. The reason I am giving it three stars is because there were a lot of grammar errors in the book which made it difficult to read. I know I have read a lot of books that have had a few errors, but this one had way more than other books. Gina has been through hell and back dealing with George. I hope she gets through everything ok and gets everything she has dreamed of. George just needs to die in my opinion he is a real monster. Even though the book had a lot of errors I still want to read part 2 when it does come out.
