Jessamyn has survived a terrifying crash but lost her ship, joining Pavel, Ethan, and others in the dissenter settlement of Yucca. Now, Chancellor Lucca Brezhnaya believes Jess is out to destroy the Terran government, and Lucca will stop at nothing to find Jess. She's going to fulfill her mission to find her crew, and come home.

She'll find a way to return for her brother, the most valuable Martian alive, her captain, and maybe, just maybe that earth boy. Who knew how much time it'd take to get to earth alone, what risks she'd take getting there, and or hw she'd get back home? Jess is confident in her piloting, the exchange of the valuable ore for her people, and the ability for her to pilot fhe ship home. But she didn't count on such a destructive & evil enemy. She had no idea it would take so long to track down the crew, be-friend a secret community, and get a new ship. All the characters in this book show how much they have grown in intelligence, emotionally, and spiritually. The details of the differences between planets is very interesting, the idea of Jess becoming the one to fix her family & Mars is daunting, but she is still not giving up.

This series is very interesting and a great read for something that is lightly intense, but overall predictable. I like the story, though there is hardly any back story to the characters and their situations. It also seems to be written hastily due to many short chapters and very little detail about the story. But I do like the series and it is a light read. So if you are looking a book that you can get into and then forget about when you finish, this is the series for you!

Great series

I’ve wolfed this series of books down. There’s something incredibly irresistible about the humanity of Jess. She’s neither hero nor villain, just someone trying to do her best. The description of mars feels so real. One is the best sci fi series I’ve read in a while and I read A LOT!

Great series

A snappy, action packed story. No lagging and interestingly kept pace. No idea how the series will play out and happy to keep reading Cidney Swanson.

Great books

Enjoyed the saving mars series. I love sci fi and these books are great. Very interesting concepts about life living on another planet.

Another sleepless night reading!

I'm definitely hooked. I can't wait to see what happens next to Pavel and Jess. Will they defeat the evil Lucca and make it back to Mars? Will love prevail? I'm hopelessly hooked.

This is the third book in the ‘Saving Mars’ series, and kicks off a few days after the end of book 2 ‘Defying Mars’.
**Warning – some unavoidable spoilers for books 1 and 2 ‘Saving Mars’, and ‘Defying Mars’.**
Having stolen and ultimately destroyed her planets only ship capable of travelling from Mars to Earth, and stranded herself on Earth in the meantime, Jessamyn is left trying to solve several problems. The main one being how will she get back to Mars?

Add to that the problems of staying out of the Chancellor’s way, and trying to rescue her captain Kipper who is currently in a coma, and Jess has got her hands full.
Can Jess procure another ship? Can she rescue her captain? And how long until Chancellor Lucca Brezhnaya catches up with her?

This was a brilliant third book in this sci-fi dystopian series.

Jessamyn once again was the Jessamyn I’ve grown to love. She stayed strong, even in the face of betrayal and upheaval. Even dealing with the loss of her planets only interplanetary transport, the loss of her captain, and having her brother re-bodied, never mind being on the wrong planet, she still manages to plan, to make crucial decisions, and to always think about what is right. I love her spunk, I love her determination, and I love the way she loves her family and friends.

The storyline in this book was great. We once again got tension, we got threats, we got explosions, and even though Jess wasn’t flying quite the way she was in the first two books, she still managed to cause mayhem, and wreck/lose multiple vehicles! Although she doesn’t crash everything she flies, she somehow manages to get through vehicles rather quickly!

There was a bit of romance in this one, it wasn’t the main storyline at all, but it was nice to see the relationship that Jessamyn and Pavel have managed to build. The small snippets of romance that we got were great though, and I really hope that Jess and Pavel will find a way to stay together against the odds.

The ending to this one was once again pretty spectacular, edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting stuff, and I loved every moment of it! Cidney – you have once again produced another spectacular book! Thank you so much!!
Overall; a brilliant third book in this sci-fi dystopian series.
9.25 out of 10.

In Losing Mars, Cidney Swanson presents the third book of the Saving Mars series and tells of Jess, a Marsian Raider, who is stuck on Earth with seemingly no way to accomplish her mission of saving her planet.

Why to buy this book: Once again, the writing is extremely solid. I blew through the book, and, in general, enjoyed it.

Why not to buy the book: A flaw that crept up in the previous book really became apparent in this one. The protagonist comes across as being weak and whiny to an extent that it ventures into the territory of being annoying.

Bottom Line: I don’t feel that the presentation of the character in this book is enough of a flaw to keep you from enjoying it if you liked the previous books, and I do plan on buying the next one when released. However, for me, it was definitely the weakest book in the series. 3 stars.

I really liked the first two books in this series. I'd been lucky enough to snag them for free, and I was waiting to see if this might be offered free, or as a deal (because the $2.99 price tag ... ok, that's not much, I went ahead and bought it). Heads up, as of TODAY (Feb17, 2014) the entire trilogy is only $.99. I do give it a recommendation! Grab it!

There are two more books in the series... not sure if there are going to be more or if that's it.

This book picked up where the last one ended. Reflecting back on it, it doesn't seem like there was as much happening here, but still and enjoyable story. I definitely want to continue on, but it looks like there will be a 6th book, so I think I'll wait and see if these ones go on sale or are offered as a combo (as the first three were).

I was really excited to find out this book had come out after reading the first 2 in the series earlier this year. I have truly enjoyed this series. The world the author has created on Mars and Earth is unique from anything else I have read.

The interaction between Jess & Pavel is great. I enjoyed reading more about Lucca and the body swapping program (what a creepy concept). I am looking forward to the next book. I really want to know what happens next.

Cindy Swanson delivers another satisfying chapter to her Mars series . Trapped on Earth the Raiders of Mars must find resources and allies to avoid capture. Can they avoid the designs of the chancellor and find a way to go home? The only minus to this book is I have wait for the next one to find out what happens next .

I thoroughly enjoyed books 1 through 5 of this series. Book 6, not so much. I loved the idea that humans had a settlement on Mars, and that there developed a "them and us" attitude with both the Marsians and Earthlings. And the whole rebody idea is brilliant. Highly enjoyable. Might have to reread in the near future.

This work of the sci fi series had a lot of action and movement, but it was pretty much expected having read the first two books. Would have liked it to wrap up the whole saga, but apparently there will be more drama and angst.

Part 3 of the series. Our heroine has been reunited with Pavel, her brother, and others, but it's looking like she'll be stuck on Earth with no way back to Mars. Must keep reading to see how this all gets worked out!

Third book in Swanson's 'Mars' series. I've liked all three. Her character interaction is believable. Jess is a good main character; strong, but also humanly flawed. I've got several other Swanson books on my 'to-read' ePile of books.

Jess annoyed me in this book. She whined way too much. You didn't make plans girl, what did you think was going to happen supergirl? The story however is great. Can the butler be trusted though? Was this Lucca's plan knowing how Pavel felt about him? hmmmm
