Boss's Virgin

Rate this book
Falling for her mysterious boss is the last thing she wanted to do...

Daisy Conklin is twenty-four and in need of a job. Two years out of college, and she’s dismayed that life so far is nothing even close to what she imagined it would be. When her friend, Jonathan, says he can get her an interview at the company he manages, she jumps at the chance, eager for any opportunity.

Ian Roubideaux, Daisy’s new boss, is a lot more than she bargained for. He’s incredibly good-looking, for starters, and even though Daisy’s a virgin, she can’t help but feel an undeniably strong attraction to him.

Ian’s had a tumultuous past, though, and some of his business dealings are shady, to say the least. Daisy is willing to overlook a lot of things, but when secrets begin to surface, Daisy isn’t so sure who, if anyone, she can trust anymore. ..

Well, another DNF from me.

Mostly because I can't connect with the characters, plus there's just waaaay too much 'inner' dialogues and I just can't stand it. The heroine tends to overthink, even the Hero is obnoxious. Not sure if I want to check out this authors' other projects but we'll see.

I rarely give one star, but this should just be avoided, even if the cover is cute.

I hate the characters, I hated the basic plot, I hated dialogue. The pacing was all over the place.

Ian is a dick, with no redeeming traits that I can see and Daisy, until the end, is completely wishy washy and her behavior is also questionable. And frankly, NONE of the characters have anything redeeming except for maybe Carl.

Daisy needs a job after she was fired from her last one for uncovering an embezzlement scheme. Jonathan, her friend from the gym, gets her an interview at the security firm where he works. This firm is run by his supposed best friend, Ian. Ian is a player, manwhore whatever, who likes to sleep with his secretaries. Turns out J is interested in her, but she's also got a stalker and he's afraid that if he makes the moves on her that she'll say no. He asks I to help him, but Ian actually helps himself to virgin Daisy. AND, they're supposed to keep it quiet (so J doesn't find out). Ian says he's interested in more than sleeping with D, but I wasn't feeling it.

We learn that he visits his formerly abusive now stroke-crippled stepfather weekly in a nursing home to rub it in and mentally torture the man.

And the last secretary he slept with is now pregnant.

Billy, one of the firms clients is Irish mafia and a guy who runs Daisy's favorite bar and is also interested in Daisy. So much so that he builds up a relationship with her in his mind and tells his parents about it. His father threatens Ian that if he doesn't break up with Daisy that he'll pull his business from him... and don't you know that I'm the one who finally got you stepfather to stop harrassing you when you were a teen, so you owe me. Ian agrees. WTF?

Daisy finds out and instead of getting mad at Ian for essentially turning her over to a mafia guy, she loves Ian so much she forgives him.

So FOUR men interested in this chick (admittedly one's a stalker) who can't even get a decent job with a college degree. And while her mother is overbearing, it occurs to me that we don't know much about Daisy's dad. Then again, this was so bad I could have just skimmed over some of the writing here.

What killed me was the epilogue where it turns out she writes a book about the quarter life crisis, essentially stealing the idea from Carl.

AND, the only person who makes sense in this whole thing is Caroline, the BFF, who doesn't like IAN... I'm right with ya, sister.

Boss's Virgin

When Daisy got the job working as a secretary for Ian, she never thought she would lose her virginity. When Ian meets Daisy, he thinks she's hot. He was told she was a freak in bed, but he doesn't want another psycho. When they hang out for the first time Ian and Daisy feel something. Will these two move forward with these feelings? Great read couldn't put down till I was finished. This book includes five extra books. First extra book is called the Boss with Aria and Zayden. Second extra book is called Billionaire in hiding with Garrett and Sarah. Third extra book is called Billionaire's Virgin with Levi and Isla. Fourth extra book is called Sexy Tattooist with Graham and Chloe. The last extra book is called Conviction with Ollie and Wren.

It took me awhile to get into this book. It's about a woman in her early twenties, dealing with all her problems that seem to be happening all at once. I voluntarily read an ARC for an honest review.

When you start to read this book, you feel as though it is just another story about an arrogant womanizer , who goes after any thing with a skirt. However, I changed my mind, after reading all night, a story that had depth and dimension to it. The young girl Daisy was depicted as young and naive, and because of her lack of worldly experience, it appears that the other male characters related to her. Because of her in experience and ease of which she was willing to relate., it appears that this is the secret of her charm.
Then to boot, I find "The Boss box set" as an added bonus.
This is a fantastic story of a young bank CEO, who had experienced disappoint in his parents marriage and then in his own, due infidelity of the women in these relationships. He had promised himself, a sexual only relationship, with one only encounter per woman. With his good looks and billionaire status, there were never a shortage of women to his bed. What he wanted, he got, with very little effort.
Except for Arial, a teller at his place work. She was the only woman that denied him. Which meant he would do almost anything to get her into his bed. And that's where the fun begins.
A delightful tale, that will both make laugh and cry.
Another box set bonus: Billionaire in Hiding
When an employee is murdered and a note "Your Next" , written in blood and left on his car's windscreen, Cameron Evans went straight to the police, concerning the drug smuggler, who had been hiring Evan's planes to transport contraband.
The FBI wasted no time in changing Cameron Evans to Garrett, a ranch hand newly employee of the Miller's Ranch in Montana. Under this disguise Garrett learned not only how to be a ranch Jan, but that his billionaire existence really wasn't making him happy. Plus Sarah Miller, taught him what he was missing in his previous relationships with women.
A dramatic portrayal of what people in Witness Protection can go through.
A very good READ

This was a great story.

Ian and Daisy were fabulous together. The storyline was engaging, and Ian was a Boss everyone wished they had.

Ian was extremely Alpha hot, and incredibly sexy. He was extremely witty. So alluring, and such a womanizer, until Daisy... that is.

Without giving any spoilers, Daisy dealt with a stalker, Ian dealt with issues in his past that formed how he viewed his future, and his partner Jonathan and him came to a realization that surprised everyone.

Ian's hugest surprise threatened to ruin everything Daisy and him had.

I loved the story. This was definitely a hot, sexy must read you won't want to miss!

I voluntarily read an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. This book was very interesting. I liked how this book was different from your single parent books where a parent is either dead or not involved. Ian loves to sleep around but met his match when it came to Daisy. He falls for her and hard but is stuck because the last secretary he had working from him is pregnant. While stressing over Annie he doesn't see what is happening around him. Jonathan is also attracted to Daisy and while asking Ian to feel her out for him, Daisy is too busy feeling Ian out for herself. After Ian kisses her on his boat, Daisy is even more attracted to Ian. Ian doesn't want Daisy to tell anyone about their involvement so when she's at the bar Failte waiting on Ian, she receives a earful of his antics from Billy. Needing to vent, she ends up telling Jonathan all about sleeping with Ian and about him doing to her what he did to Annie. Jonathan not liking what he hears, sabotages one of Ian's security details. Ian is trying to work things out with Annie and the baby. Jonathan is pissed about Ian getting the girl. Daisy is confused because she's in love with Ian and has a stalker to deal with. Billy is having his dad fight his battles for him. Drama on top of drama. Oh and even th new secretary adds in some drama. There is a happy ending and the one thing I did enjoy about that was the fact that even though Ian had someone else pregnant, it did not stop Daisy from deciding she wanted to be with him. I would recommend this book.

Received this as an ARC for an honest review.
I had a really hard time connecting with both main characters. They are supposed to have this great connection but you don’t really get to read about it, other than them stating they have this great connection. I need to feel the pull they have toward each other. I want their emotions all out there. Ian has never felt this way about anyone. I wanted to read about his inner struggles with finally finding that one and how he was handling it all, especially with what he knows from Jonathan. I did feel that I got a bit of that from Daisy but really wanted more from both. I felt there were some things that could have really be elaborated on in regards to their relationship as well as Ian’s with Jonathan for sure. You get a bit of that toward the end from Jonathan but not much really from Ian. The whole confrontation between the two of them was pretty much one sided. There were quite a few things that very just very unrealistic to me. These characters are supposed to be adults but the way they are going about things was very child like, especially with the parents of another person getting involved. I felt this story had great potential but unfortunately I was just not feeling it.
