Duke is on a mission to get his mate back. It’s been three years since he walked out of her life, but recent events are forcing them back together. He’s missed her so much over the past few years and it doesn’t take long for him to know he’s back in this for good when she shows back up in Boise, willing and able to help. A lot of questions need answered, but he isn’t quite sure if he is ready to give her that part of himself.

Alicia only came to Idaho to help Duke figure out who is behind the attack on Snake River Shifter Camp’s warden, McKinzy and her mate Adrian. Working side by side with Duke again isn’t exactly ideal, but she’ll tolerate it if it means they can take down the men they had worked so hard to pin down before they went their separate ways. She needs to find closure after everything that had happened before Duke walked out of her life all those years ago.

Are they going their separate ways when all of this is over? Or are they just burning time until they end up back in each other’s arms again?

"Burning Time", second in the Snake River Prison Camp series, is a short and unsatisfactory read.
The story is not really advanced and, just as in the previous book, a fair amount of time is spent on romance.
It feels like it is a couple of chapters taken from a longer work. While I fully support authors maximising their income by issuing serial books it doesn't work well in this case.
It's instantly forgettable.

Good read

I was looking for something to read and stumbled upon this series. I'm impressed on how good these books are. It's hard finding shifter books that catch my attention. And my favorite Author is T. S. Joyce.... So for me to find others that are enjoyable after reading hers is extra hard. Jules you did great on catching my attention keep up the good work!!!!

This is the second book in the Snake River Prison Camp series, if you haven't read the first one yet (Burning Secret) I would start there, it's worth it. The intrigues surrounding the 5 shifter wardens are growing. In Duke and Alicia's story the suspense grows as the two rekindle their mating after being separated for years. Worth the read...and I will definitely be reading the 3rd book.

Book 2 in the snake river prison camp series.

Great second chance at love story for the H/h. But this book sets and builds the story with secondary charachters having light shone on them in more intriguing detail.
Lots going on and fast paced.

Looking forward to book 3 in this series.

Loved it

If you want a long slow burn this isn't for to you. This is the world of shifters where they scent what they want and go for it.
Ongoing questions who are the firebirds, are they and the camp being set up, and when will we know?

Fantastic Read!

Duke and Alicia's story is another great puzzle piece in the Snake River Prison Camp series. Mates who were separated for years, reunite to try and figure out just who set up McKinzy in the last book. I'm loving how all the characters stories are unfolding and intertwining! Not only are there hot shifters and passionate love scenes, you get a fantastic conspiracy plot that is being worked out through each book! Keep up the great work!!

Fast read, pay attention!

This is a quick fun read, you have to pay attention though, a lot happens in a short amount of time. The "Burning" books are a puzzle, and something tells me we are a bit of a ways off from finding out what is really going on. PJ fans, look for your Easter egg - it's purple 😉

Dang it! I need more right freaking now!

Dang but I wasn't ready for this story to be over. Ugh, this series has me hooked and I'm ready for the next book right friggin' now. It seems like the more we learn about the big picture the more questions that I have. I'm not sure if I love it or it's driving me crazy but either way I need more.
