What an enjoyable read! I was swept away by the story of the reporter’s journey to faith and love as she explores fire lookout towers. I had never even heard of fire lookout towers until this book, and I love it when my interest is sparked like this!
Reporter KC Adams barely recovers a hidden journal before a wildfire burns through the lookout tower she was staying in. KC and the firefighter who rescued her are drawn together as they struggle to unravel the mystery of the journal’s author and the baby she gave up years ago. Can they find these two strangers and reunite them? Or will the search give them more questions than answers?
You will want to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea until you complete the book. It’s full of twists and turns to keep you guessing and turning pages! The Story of the Year is one of those books that warms your heart and leaves you at peace, fully satisfied with the journey’s end.

The Story of the Year draws you in from the first sentence. As you continue to read you want more and more because of the suspense and mystery behind the book’s story line and main characters. A light read for a Summer vacation, long weekend, or a rainy day.
The Author Bonnie Howell writes with passion, intrigue and never leaves you unsatisfied. Each chapter is fast-moving, thrilling and attention-grabbing. I love the way the author intertwines God and faith into her story. This story is a fantastic faith builder.

The Story of the Year is a beautiful story of one woman's journey to find love and her faith. The characters are well developed and easy to relate to. The author creates a story within a story that takes you on an adventure of discovery that will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens!
