Entertaining paranormal listening 🎶🔰
Another will written paranormal fantasy world 🌎 haunting horror ghost 👻 demon monster adventure thriller novel by Ron Ripley and Scare Street (Berkley Street Series book 8). Shane Ryan is once again in the middle of hauntings going on around his house. Then he, Marie, and Frank are off to Borgin Keep. They get in to the keep and the fun begins. Ghost 👻 are everywhere and the they have to use every trick to get out alive. Shane burns down the keep. The adventure continues in book nine. I would recommend this series and authors too readers of paranormal fantasy adventure mystery novels 👍🔰. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to Alexa read books 📚. 2023 😮👒😡😕

A wonderful ghostly series, with main characters I love, secondary characters that are interesting and as developed as they need be without wasted words and useless information.
I only have one book left in the series and am not looking forward to the end.

This was a horrifyingly awesome read! I really enjoyed this one! If a house ever needed burning, it is this one.
The original owner of Borgin Keep created a house of horrors, and those continued after his death. Shane and Frank learn there is another reason why some of the locations they have been destroying are so important to the Watchers.
Absolutely fantastic. I loved this book.

okay, this one is better than previous ones (after book 1). The setting of Borgin Keep was insanely cool and this felt, like book one, like a ghost story! The ending was anti-climactic as it was the same way he has defeated other powerful ghosts so that was a let down but overall one of my favorites in the series and more inline with horror genre.

I probably listened to this one too soon after finishing the previous. It was a great story and pulled a lot of things together but I wasn’t as engaged as I have been with it

Can this series get any creepier? If so, sign me up. In this book, Shane and Company take on their most evil adversary yet - Emmanuel Borgin - who built Borgin Keep many years earlier to imprison individuals who were judged by The Watchers to be, shall we say, less than ideal in their eyes. Borgin Keep is so evil that not even birds fly nearby. Methods of dispatching its inmates are gruesome to say the least. So, in order to continue their quest to finally defeat The Watchers and put an end to the horrors bedeviling New England once and for all, Shane and Frank, joined this time by Marie Lafontaine (the police detective introduced in earlier books), must enter and destroy Borgin Keep. An impossible task according to everyone they know.
I keep thinking that Shane must be some sort of superman to survive all that has happened to him in this series. Borgin Keep is no exception. Shane gets beaten up, slammed around and generally abused throughout the book. He probably hopes that the series ends soon, even though I do not,
I found this book to be faster paced than earlier books. The only negative I found was that the ending seemed a bit anticlimactic after the graphic violence earlier in the book. The bonus chapters at the end of the book lead directly into the final book, as one might expect. I liked it enough to give it five stars.

"""BOOK 1 (BERKLEY STREET) - I really enjoyed this book. I read this book after meeting Shane in the MOVING IN series. This has been a very good series so far.
BOOK 2 (THE LIGHTHOUSE) - This has to be my favorite Ron Ripley story so far. The characters are all very well done.
BOOK 3 (THE TOWN OF GRISWOLD) - A nice book. The characters continue to be well done. So far I am enjoying this series more than the MOVING IN series....and I also enjoyed that series.
BOOK 4 (SANFORD HOSPITAL) - This is probably my second favorite book in this series. I really like the addition of one character in particular. The way this book ended makes me wonder if that person will be a returning character in the series....
BOOK 5 (KURKOW PRISON) - This book was a good read too. It was not one of the better books in the series. I may have to read it again because I feel like there are some things that I missed the first time.
BOOK 6 (LAKE NUTAQ) - This one was also good. More elements to the story appear to be being added. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

So, the sadism continues!
I'm absolutely loving the much darker turn in this set of books. This may sound a strange thing to say, considering that they aren't exactly all Unicorns and Rainbows to begin with, but the human element (or lack of) is really getting good.
Shane is broken, pure and simple. His lack of emotion in some of his actions is an added bonus, insofar as his gradual decline is just something else to look for in the storyline. Add to this the Watchers, a group of depraved individuals who are set on keeping population control in check by using supernatural means, and you begin to get the gist of my comment.
Ron Ripley really comes up with the goods again and again. My only complaint with this book would be that it ended too soon. After such a great build up, I would have liked a bit more of a battle. Having said this, I'm looking forward to Amherst Burial Ground immensely....

I seriously love this series and will be super sad to see it end. This was a great book, we learned quite a bit about the watchers and what they hope to do with the ley lines. We are introduced to memorable characters that serve as friends or foes to Shane and Frank. I know the final book is going to be an event, Ron Ripley sure knows how to write layered protagonists. Despite the lack of diversity in these books (no Black or POC characters, queer characters, etc) the book gives us great disability representation. Frank and Shane have been through the ringer (as well as Marie), yet they are independent and complex men. Each book seems to get better as better. Love this. Tehn out of Ten would recommend.

I loved this story of the ultimate ghost castle, with Shane riding as hero supreme. There are a slew of interesting characters here, and many of whom have their own itinerary and will stop at nothing to get what they want. As they struggle through the different passageways and strange rooms, Shane comes across different situations that stand in his way from succeeding. If that wasn't bad enough, the elite Watchers are also determined to stop Shane any way possible.

Book 8 of the series and I am not disappointed. In fact, I look forward to reuniting with these fantastic characters.

No one that is living that is. But many have died. How many, no one really knows. As Shane works to find and stop The Watchers; the organization that is out to get him, he is brought to the keep. Has he met his match with the un-living?

I wholeheartedly liked this more than Slater Mill. It was more creepier and the whole idea of the Keep being this house of horrors was too good.
I've really been enjoying Shane's character arc and how it appears that he, along with the ghosts he lives with, are all going down this route to insanity.
Also. Those bonus cannibalization scenes were 🤮 but it showed me just how messed Emmanuel Borgin was.
Can't wait to see how Ron Ripley wraps up the series in the final book!

HOW!?!?!
Each one of these books gets better and better!!! I have no idea how Mr. Ripley comes up with these stories but this series is one of, if not THE best I have read hands down. Shane is just so complicated but he keeps fighting!!!! Mr. Borgin was very diabolical indeed and his keep of horrors was crazy. Anxiously, awaiting the next installment!!!!!!!!!

I think this was my favorite in the series so far. It is getting towards the end and the story is getting deeper and darker. I am looking forward to completing the series with the next book, there are nine books here and that is a lot to take in. I am on to Amherst Burial Ground for what is sure to be a nasty finale.

I love the demon ghosts Shane kills with his team. You have the Watchers and that is intriguing. You have bonus scenes which maintain interest. As usual the story by Ron Ripleyis well described with believable characters. Shane doesn't let you down. The narration is great. You will feel the terror and suspense in this book. The narration will draw you in. I recommend this book.

The Very Name of the Place Gives Me Chills
This book was a good or better as any of the Shane Ryan books that have come before it. Ron Ripley is truly a master storyteller and his ghosts leave an impression that's hard to shake when it comes time to turn off the lights. I keep them on all the time now!

I may never eat again
This book was great. I did read it out of turn, but never the less it was great and answered many questions I had from the second book. I have always been a horror fan and these books really held my interest. Please write more.

Virgin's madness
I gave this book five stars because like every other book by Mr. Ripley it drew me into the story and into the characters' lives. I will keep reading the rest of the series and all of this author's books.

Wow what can i say really the story was very tense and lots going on with the fight against the watchers Shane is really putting himself through a lot of torture thankfully has his friend Frank and homely ghosts Mr Ripley gets you right in the book great writing

Fantastic!
This book was fantastic. Again, movie worthy! So good.
Not sure how I feel about the end, I was expecting something more grand but at the same time I like that it went back to basics. 5* all the way.

Loved It
What can i say about this one but how dark it was. Love the way the author crafted the ghost and adventure and the heartache. I love the character shane most of all. How he fights for what he believes in. I don't do spoilers. 5 cannibal ghost out of 5

This one started out as the best one since the first book, but it went off the rails and into Ripley's usual lazy writing very fast. The ending is almost exactly the same as the last two.. I mean, come on!

Back to form again, Ron Ripley delivers a classic little horror story in more ways than one. I've only one left to read and I hope it finishes the series off with a twist. Great series so far with some high points and very few low ones.

Imagination Galore

This is a 4.5 star read.
We're nearing the end of our epic journey and our hero, though filled with rage and thoughts of revenge, is tiring of the battle and life in general. While trying to destroy The Watchers plan he finds he has to face the "ultimate" Evil.
