A very aptly named MC.
The blurb clearly tells us 'she'll work off the debt—on her knees. A slave to the MC' so I really should not have been surprised when I started reading but still I was.
Now I like a hot read and a strong alpha male although I generally like more balance, enough story to hold the sex together, here there's a little story and tons and tons of sex.
I liked the start of this but as it progressed it became a little too much for me, I want to say it was degrading and awful but Harmony wanted and craved everything that was done to her.
This book is probably about 80% sex and it's hot but about half way in I'd decided it wasn't for me. I was also nervous that the MC had a guy named Fist and yes it looks to be heading where you'd expect.
I also wasn't happy that Harmony is having sex with the whole MC including the same guy that's been with her mother for years. I mean seriously what on earth is wrong with him, her mother is a complete bitch.
So like I said I'd decided it wasn't for me but I'd finish it anyway after all it wasn't a bad read just out of balance for me and a little out of my comfort zone if I'm being honest but then without realising it I found I was actually enjoying it, there was more here than I originally thought and after the supermarket scene I wanted to continue on.
If you're looking for a smoking hot read where the h gets off on being used and abused then this could be for you. Even though that's not my kink I found enough potential for me to want to continue on and see where it goes.

You know when you aren't sure what you want to read? Book-hang over much? not ready to commit to a nine book series which each is 300+ pages? Me too! stumbled upon "Taken by the MC" by Devyn Douglas and it's a series of three books.
Book one is 100 pages of pure smut... and it may be a good break when you aren't sure what you're wanting.
Basically a bunch of burly 30+ year old MC men have sexy time with a single 22 year old woman, public, at the club, home, strip club, minor BDSM scene.

I had a love/hate relationship with Taken By The MC by Devyn Douglas. I am a HUGE fan of erotica and BDSM, but this was my first read about a motorcycle club and I just wasn’t ready for how seriously dark this book got. The writing was phenomenal, but some of the scenes left me feeling sorry for Harm, even though she was thoroughly enjoying herself.
Harmony is a young, sassy women whose mother is complete trash. Her mother stole a load of money from the MC and now Harmony is faced with paying off this debt on her knees, to be used however and whenever the MC sees fit. After Max and Ray read her journal, they realize that they can make her deepest, darkest fantasies come true, and throughout this book they do just that.
I did enjoy the writing of the book, the story flowed naturally and the descriptions were so intense that it seemed to be happening right before my eyes. I am looking forward to reading more books by Devyn Douglas, just hopefully not has dark as this book seemed to be.

Submission and sex…if that is what you are looking for look no further. Harmony was paying off her mother’s debt to the local MC the Penetrators on her knees, her stomach and on her back. Yep, you get the picture. It was a very quick, hot read but don’t be expecting an in depth character build up. If you can live with that then this book is for you. It was full of some very dirty scenes that will leave you needing a cold shower before all is said and done.

I think I was expecting something different when I first chose to read this book but it's basically about Harmony coming to terms with her sexual cravings and a need for submission. I liked how protective the MC was of her and she found out that she didn't have to do it all on her own any longer.

SPOILERS THROUGHOUT:
Let me start out by saying that I don't have a problem with BDSM, doms, subs, or a woman who wants to give up full control of her body to men she doesn't know. I wouldn't be okay with that by any stretch of the imagination, but if someone wants to do that, it is their prerogative. I have read BDSM books before and I do not have a problem with the lifestyle, I just don't partake in it. With that being said, I DNF'd this book because it was too much for me to handle.
This book starts off immediately with the main character, Harmony, being taken by a local motorcycle club and they make her their "slave". This slightly rubbed me the wrong way because I feel like their is a giant difference between a submissive and a slave, but I continued reading. As the pages go on, the names they call her gradually get worse and more derogatory until she is known as the "cum dump" and "fuck meat". I didn't like this at all.
Aside from that, my main problem was that I could not connect with the main character. I just didn't understand her mind set and her reactions to some of the things they did and said to her just didn't make sense to me.
Overall, this book just wasn't for me. I can see where other people would like it and I hold nothing against them. I usually try to make at least to the 51% mark because I want to have read the majority of the book, but I just couldn't hold on that long. This book was just a flat out NO for me and I am sorry for that because I wanted to enjoy it.

Based on the description of the book you know immediately that there's going to be tons of sex, however I was not prepared for essentially a book of porn. That is what this book read like for me. Very little story line; Harmony jumps all too easily to have to work off her mother's debt rather than argue (like any sane person would) that she doesn't owe the debt or that there are other ways she could pay the debt back. With no connection or background, the sex begins and doesn't stop. They degrade and humiliate her on a constant basis. While she seems to enjoy this, I couldn't wrap my head around it.

I'm a little conflicted over Taken By the MC.
I love Reverse-harem books, and i love motorcycle gang books, so i'm not sure why, at times this rubbed me the wrong way.
Harmony is forever cleaning up her mothers messes, that includes having to deal with her mothers boyfriend, Ray, that shes had a huge crush on for years. I'm not talking a little crush either, i mean a deep rooted pining that causes her to make some weird decisions from time to time (the photographs in her diary being a big one). But its not just Ray she's wanted for years, its also his best-friend that has held her attention just as much.
Harm is a self confessed slut, she likes sex, she likes is rough, degrading and a tad abusive. She has her reasoning for that, but wont go into it to much in the book itself. Hopefully her diaries will reveal a little, i felt so horrified for her when i realized that they had been reading her diaries.
I think what bugged me the most was that she knew she liked it that way, but just kept talking about being a good girl and good girls dont like that, and that shes perverted etc. I just wanted her to be like hey, yeah i like it like that, and im ok with it. I'm hoping by the next book her character will develop enough to be able to own her own kinks.
Onto the men, im not sure how i feel about some of the officers considering that we didnt really get to know them beyond the surface level of how they like to have sex. I warmed to Max a lot quicker than anyone else, simply because even though he treated her like she wanted when they were intimate, he treated her sweetly outside of those situations, especially towards the end of the book. Im still not a 100% on Ray, but i do like him more than some of the other officers. Fist seems interesting, but again we didnt learn too much about him, he does seem to have a softer side which will be good to explore.
Clutch and Dawg were the two officers who got the least page time, so i have no idea how i feel about them
I hate her mother, oh god how i hate her. I can see it right now, that she literally went after all of the men Harmony was interested in because she was jealous of her daughters youth and good looks. Argh!! I felt so bad for Harm and the lift that she's had to go through.
Props to Devyn Douglas for making me feel all these emotions though! At times the writing and the emotions were so visceral that i felt them along side the characters which was an amazing experience in and of itself.

Taken by the MC is difficult for me to rate. Devyn Douglas is a good writer, the story is solid, characters defined, fast-paced, steamy, and had emotional depth. It warns you in the blurb, that it's dark and depraved; " To keep them both breathing, she'll work off the debt—on her knees. A slave to the MC. " I should have known what I was getting into, but I didn't. I did not like this book, but I am not going to rate it on my personal preference.
Harmony's mom has stolen $100,000 from the wrong people and now the local MC, the Mexican Drug Cartel, and half of the town want her. Then she took off. Harmony is the one that will have to clean up her mess. She's used to covering for her mom, but this time it's worse. She's picked up by the Prez and VP of the Penetrators MC. They offer her a deal; work for them stripping and in the backrooms of a local club. They also want to own her for the weekend; she will be used, used, and used some more. This actually feeds into her darkest desires.
I felt like the book concentrated on the sex too much. I would have enjoyed it more if there was more (any) relationship building. There was no balance and virtually no story after the offer is made; only one sex scene after another. I can't claim that Harmony was abused since she reveled in each degrading act and the verbal abuse aimed at her. It was just too much for me. Even worse was Harmony's attraction for the MC Prez, Ray. Her mother's latest boy-toy. I can't get over the disgust of being with her mother's guy. Yuck, yuck, yuck. I can deal with Harmony's darkest desires, but not acted out with mom's guy.
Just as I thought that I couldn't take anymore, the book changed. I enjoyed the diner scene then from the grocery store scene on, I really enjoyed the book. Relationships started to come alive. Connections were being made. Harmony exposed herself; she was vulnerable, scared. Ray and the VP Max showed that they cared about her for more than sex. The final scene with Max (my favorite character) showed potential for an actual caring relationship.
I think there will be readers who love this book. Those who enjoy Submissives taking abuse on every level will think it perfection. It's dark, steamy, and leaves you wondering what's next? Is the best to come?

Can I just say WOWZA? This book here left me totally flabbergasted. On a scale of one to ten in shock value…this short story was a 15. Numerous times I kept saying “Oh my goodness.”, “Is this for real?”, and “What the hell?” It has been a very long time since a book has left me feeling like this, speechless and wanting more.
Here is the thing about this story? Its a Motorcycle Club romance story but it isn’t your typical romance. Actually, some parts are far from romantic. The female lead, Harmony, was caught up in her mother’s trouble. Not by choice, though. Her mother stole a lot of money from a lot of people in town. Harmony was being held hostage against her will because of her mother until she was saved by the MC in town. But this saving came at a price, to pay back her mother’s debt to them.
Harmony was far from innocent. She had wild fantasies about the President, Ray, and Vice President, Max. Ray knew of those crazy fantasies. The way Ray, Max and other members of the Penetrators MC treated Harmony will probably upset a few. This is where the shock value comes into play. You need to read the book to find out.
I would like to give a small disclosure about this book. This book has strong language that some will think is degrading to women. Please note, not to judge the book because of the terms that were used toward Harmony. She enjoyed every minute of everything they did to her and loved the names they called her.
Due to the strong language in this book, I was unsure I was going to like it. But I could not put this book down for one second! I was sucked in and was able to finish it in one setting without getting bored. By the time I got to the end of this short story, I was wanting more and wondering what the next book in the series is going to pertain.
My rating is 5 SIZZLING stars. I am ready for book number 2.

I received this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
My first issue with this book is that I don't think it is a standalone book. When I read a book I want to read the WHOLE story. Since I committed myself, I finished the story.
Harmony is a young woman who has been neglected all her life by her junkie mother. She has been in survival mode her whole life, I'm not even sure she even knows what would make her happy. She always had a "thing" for a couple of the guys from the local MC. It just so happens that her mother had a brief sexual relationship with the President of the MC, one of the men Harmony has the hots for.
Now Harmony's mother has ripped off the MC for a lot of money and they're looking for her mom...
They decide that Harmony can "work" off her mothers debt...oh, and they happened to read her journal which is filled with her fantasies...
This story is very erotic with BDSM, which I don't mind but...and I say BUT it just felt like it was 1 big Orgie to me, if there was any story then it was basically what I mentioned previously. The writing is good but I needed a story! Maybe if it were a whole book in my mind, I could of gotten into it more. What woman aspires to be a club w****, no wait, a club w**** may actually have some say..., for the rest of her life?
As I said the author does write well, she just needs a story...

To start.... You have to like dirty, depraved and raunchy to like this book... The female character does have multiple sex partners. There may be triggers for some. The female character wants and has essentially asked for anything and everything that happens.
I enjoyed the book. This is the first in a three part serial. Harmony is a sex addicted young woman who is obsessed with and has serious fantasies about the local MC. She has been trying to get their attention for years. Now she has but not for the reason she was hoping. Her mother stole a lot of money from them. While it starts as her working off her mothers debt to them it ends up being more about them giving her, her most secret fantasies. Expect for the book to leave you wanting more since it will as it is again the first in a three part serial. I know I'm looking forward to the next one to see where things go. There is absolutely no romance in this book. It is almost all sex, so if romance is what you're looking for this book is not for you. If you're a fan of the dirty, I definitely recommend reading.

I enjoyed the book. This is the first in a three part serial. Harmony is a sex addicted young woman who is obsessed with and has serious fantasies about the local MC. She has been trying to get their attention for years. Now she has but not for the reason she was hoping. Her mother stole a lot of money from them. While it starts as her working off her mothers debt to them it ends up being more about them giving her, her most secret fantasies. Expect for the book to leave you wanting more since it will as it is again the first in a three part serial. I know I'm looking forward to the next one to see where things go. There is absolutely no romance in this book. It is almost all sex, so if romance is what you're looking for this book is not for you. If you're a fan of the dirty, I definitely recommend reading.

Taken by the MC is the first part in the Penetrators MC series by author Devyn Douglas. I liked this gritty tale very much. Kind of raunchy and rough but I liked that about it. What makes it a gritty book.
Harmony has a druggie as mother. Her mother has always made Harmony clean up her messes. When the Penetrators come hunting for her mother she finds out her mother owes them big time. She has always wanted the leader Ray. But they have left her alone in favor of her mother. But now she might get more than she bargained for because not only does Ray notice her but his second in command Max does too.
Ray is the leader of the Penetrators. He is a rough man with a huge heart. He wants Harmony but he doesn't want to taint her.
Max on the other hand wants Harmony any way he can get her. She pushes all of his buttons hard. Max is a good man with a huge heart as well.
Both men would be great matches for Harmony. I personally liked Max and her the most. But both men bring a little something to the table.
This story does not have a clean ending but I would like to read more in this world. I hope there are more parts in the future.

This is a hard one for me to review. First, it was promoted to me as an RH. I don't consider this RH until maybe the end. I can see where in the future they could spin it in the direction of RH versus the, I'm still not sure how to classify what it is, but not in this book. There was no relationship, just sex. Second, I will say that Harmony wanted everything that was done to her. She has unique sexual preferences that she has been somewhat ashamed of and she's finally getting the chance to let her freak flag fly so to speak. So that's good, all consensual, not as degrading bc she wants to be degraded so they are doing it for her. It was sometimes hard to read though. The word slut was used a lot! By herself and by the men. It's a very dark read. I like a good dark romance but this one was a little much for even me. Maybe it's just bc I wasn't expecting it. I honestly didn't read any synopsis or anything before I started and maybe that's my mistake. I'm good with the BDSM aspect of it and the submissiveness but this was a whole new level. I think there are people out there who will love this book. Just so long as you know what you are getting into before you go in.

This was an author that was new to me and the book appears to be a first in a series. It was a quick read and I did keep the pages turning. I'll be honest though I struggled a little with the content of this book. I normally love a good MC but this was slightly too much for me during the group scenes. Harmony had some very dark fantasies which were carried out in these scenes but were a bit violent for my personal taste. If you are into dark though definitely give this quickie a go.

Harmony has always been attracted to the local MC’s President and Vice President. Now that Harmony is paying off her mother’s debt to the local MC and they learn about her naughty fantasies they make her a slave to the MC.
I have been debating on how I want to rate this book. The title of the book is exactly what you get. The storyline is solid, the men in the book are true alphas, and you are warned in the synopsis that she becomes a slave to the local MC. However, I am still trying to put my thoughts together. I love alpha men, I love bikers and I love when they are combined into a great read. What I am not sure about is Harmony. Yes she has fantasies and she becomes a true slave in this book. No back talk, no resistance, just does as she is told. WHAT?
Overall this is a good fast paced read.

"Taken By The MC" was all about sex and porn. I didn't feel anything for the people in this one because I didn't know the characters in the book. From the beginning of the story, Harmony working on her knees for the MC to work off her mom's debt was a bit of a stretch for me. It started from the first page and continued throughout the book. I love sex in my books, but only if there is a plotline to go with it. The last two or three chapters had the most character development, with some explanations, and was the best part of the book. It showed a bit of humanity for all involved. I really wanted to like this book, and hope that the next book in the series will have more connections and character development, so the reader can feel something for those involved in the story. I would like to thank NetGalley and the publishers for gifting me "Taken By The MC". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 2 Stars!

Taken by the MC was definitely an eye opener! A quick read with plenty of hot alpha males and an awful lot of downright dirty s@x and everything else you could possibly imagine in that....department!
Although the story is centred around the deepest darkest desires of Harmony the bikers are everything you'd expect, alpha, possessive, demanding, controlling, loyal, crude and hot as sin. There is a little underlying story and the author does write really well. I got the feeling that one of the bikers in particular has more of a vested interest in Harmony but that's yet to be confirmed. If you are looking for a quick read that will get you hot under the collar and maybe help you live out some dark and disturbing fantasies of your own, then this book is for you...not saying I'm of the same mind as Harmony, but I will certainly be following this series.

This book was a little edgier for me.
I have to be honest + have to say that I did not agree w/ Harmony being called "Slut" "Slave" etc.
However, as I continued reading the book, I was able to get past that.
To me, the story was more important.
I saw the way that the MCs treated Harmony.
They really did care about her + wanted her to be a permanent member of the MC.
The sex was explicit, but on some parts of the book, I wanted to go "Awww"
They were totally Alpha males, but they also had a softer side that they showed to Harmony.
I hope to read more about Harmony + the MCs.
Loved Max, Ray, Clutch, Skippy Squirel, Dawg, etc.
Can't wait for the next book.

New book by Devyn Douglas!! I'm not new to her books so I thought this was going to be an easy read!
This book was short but definitely not sweet! This really isn't for the faint of heart on the sexual side.
The book started off with Harmony having to work out her mother's 100k$ debt with a biker gang. So she pretty much gets passed around by a few of the high ranking bikers.
For me, in all honesty, was too much sex... too much sex you say?? Yes.. that's possible. She was treated like a dump for their load...don't get me wrong she totally loved it! She craves this kind of dominance. But it was too much for my brain to handle and I'm not new to this genre. I would have rather had two guys on her at once then multiple people one after the other. That's just me.
If you are looking for that kind of book this series is for you!

Now....I really liked this book and at times i found it disturbing.I really enjoyed the story and i really liked the characters but the BDSM part of the story and how it was portrayed at first was so wrong and soooo disturbing that despite the fact i really love hardcore books and really dark books this one ..bothered me and at the same time i liked it....
I know it doesn't make sense....but thats how i felt.
There was only one part i disliked where she didn't know what she was agreeing too still she did it and it felt weird and like abusing and i am not down with abuse.

A little too heavy on the BDSM for me. As well a pretty degrading and not in a hot way.
I found one of the names they called her (dump) as a sort of pet-name to be a complete turn off and rather disgusting.
Harmony: 22, personally I found her to be an idiot and the whole grocery store scene was dumb
Ray: Pres of the Penetrator MC (she wanted him before her mom started banging him)
Max: VP of the Penetrator MC, she wanted him too
Police "Chief" Reyes (Tony): about 7 yrs older. Banged her whore mother for a few weeks, before her mom moved on to Ray. Shocker Harmony lusted after him when she was 17 and tried to seduce him.
I will not be continuing on to the next book in the series.

So i got this book because of a comment I saw on FB. The person made it very known that if you have triggers then this book is not for you. That alone got my interest. I also loved the fact its a RH book. This book was full action from page 1 and was like that all the way through. I love the characters and their badassness. Jolie is also a BFF that every girl needs. I wish the book was a little longer, but in know there will be more. The book was spanned for about 3 days but there was a lot of detail. Cant wait to read more and to dive in to Harmonys deepest desires.
I think its kinda funny how her name is harmony, but her life is nothing close to harmonious.

Harmony thinks she has to take care of her mother's problems because she her daughter. Harmony gets caught between people wanting to find her mother because of what she did to them. Now she has to find a way out of the trouble her mother put her in after she took off with her money and others. That is when she finds her self in the hands of a local drug dealer in a allay when another set of people comes looking for her mother and finds her with a knife to her throat. Now she has to deal with the local Penetrators MC Club as well. Now would be the time to Buy the book to read and it is worth it. I will be getting more from this author.

3,5 stars This book was pure smut but sometimes you are in the mood for just that and then you read this. One h, multiple H but there are a few main characters. Little bit uncomfortable because two of the H were her mother's ex-beaus but hey, I know that is a kink as well. It was nicely written en h gives in to her fantasies and descends into slut/slavedom. She becomes a willing slave for the local MC club and the guys, although using her body and degrading her, still care for her in their own way. They take care of her and make sure she is still good. Checking on her safe word now and then, so that makes it not just a raw porn movie.

This novella was super hot and kinda dirty and I loved it. The heroine likes sex and she isn't ashamed and though I usually don't like MC set romances it was the perfect backdrop to this dirty reverse harem. I love all kinds of reverse harems - the ones that are sweet and chaste (for the most part) and the ones that are down and dirty (of which there are too few, in my opinion). This one is most certainly the latter and when it was over I was already begging for more. Cannot wait to see what happens next in the Penetrator's MC series!

In most books this would be a bad thing, however, it is Harmony's secret fantasy. It worked for her so I can't judge her. The book could have used a little more story and it will continued in more"pieces". If you are looking for a short erotic read with multiple partners, then this is a definite win for you.

...... I felt like I knew for the most part what to expect with this "MC" book but the fact is it pushed a whole lot more of my comfort zone than I was expecting. Having read several MC romances I would have expected to hear about this one through good reads groups but this actually came up in the RH face book group. That being said this book is more of extreme erotic ménage and less of a reverse harem in my opinion. I gave The Penetrators MC four stars because this book is 85% sex and sex acts and I really want a little bit more relationship/character development.

So I found this book by trolling NetGalley and well it sounded pretty decent so I thought what the hey, I'll give this author a shot.
Let me tell you, if you want something risque, with lots of dirty nasty sex, then this book is for you. The flood gates will open once you read this jewel.
I'd you like Alexa Riley, Jenika Snow or even Aria Cole, then be prepared to blush your way through this book.
