Berchet is a native of Norfolk, VA.  She holds a bachelor's of arts in Legal Communications from Howard University and a master's of science in Educational Psychology from George Mason University.  While she is "Berchet" to us, two little people, a girl and a boy, call her "Mommy".  She resides in the District of Columbia metro area, where she is also the owner of a company that provides publishing and professional services.

Once shy about the things she wrote, she quickly realized that as a grown woman, her thoughts were similar to most people and definitely in line with what people were doing. Sex is sex, always was and always will be.

People have fantasies, some people are pure freaks behind closed doors, some have sexual inhibitions,
and all of that's ok.

Trust Issues the debut novel by Berchet is filled with everything a great story is made of. From love, romance and mind blowing sex, to baby daddy drama, insecurities, deceit and jealousy, this story covers emotions and issues that many can relate too. This is a very well written book that I genuinely enjoyed. Berchet did an outstanding job of taking me into the unpredictable relationship of Aiyanna Hayden and Channing Alexander.

What I like most about the book is that the story is not over the top. It is believable. The plot is enthralling and I found myself thinking about what was going to happen next even when I was not reading the book. The fact that these characters stayed on my mind is evidence that the author did an awesome job with character development. I was rooting for Channing and Aiyanna because their emotional journey was so relatable.

I also liked how Berchet creatively weaves historic moments into the fabric of the story. For example, we see how the characters react to the death of Michael Jackson, as well as, the victory of President (yes, he’s still my president) Barack Obama. By including events such as these, the author creates moments of nostalgia which contributes to the story's believability.

Of all the characters, my favorite was Channing. He was cool. It was nice to read a story about a loyal black man.

I looked forward to coming home and reading this book after my long days of work. And now I that the story is over I’m definitely going to miss it.

Been a minute since I actually read a fiction novel but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed Trust Issues. I was empathetic towards all of the male characters in this story because at point or another during my life I've been them. I found myself becoming emotionally invested in each character at some point and the plot kept me intrigued. Those are the premises in which I grade a good fiction novel.

I would highly recommend purchasing and reading Trust Issues by Ms. Berchet. I am an avid reader and enjoy reading all types of genres. From the minute I began reading Trust Issues, I could not put it down. The story line flowed and made it very readable so that I could go from chapter to chapter without trying to figure out timelines (that is very important to me as I read a book).
Ms. Berchet has done a remarkable job by bringing her characters alive and placing them in real life situations concerning trust issues. I loved the story theme. The author has a way of introducing issues with trust that shows various sides of how to deal with developing situations in romantic relationships and also bonds that are formed with close friends, it is done in a breathe taking way that you can fall in love with the main characters.
The author raises some thought provoking questions that really make you think about relationships and friendships. There is a twist that I did not see coming.

This was a solid 4 in my eyes. It had the drama that most people look for, the romance…it was a great read! My frustration with Aiyanna stems from looking at myself while I was reading Trust Issues, because I do the same thing when it comes to relationships. I don’t handle drama too well, and I don’t trust very easily, even if I don’t have a reason NOT to trust that person. It was a little eye opener for me. I think a lot of women can relate to this book. Most of us have been hurt by that one guy we just swore we would be with forever, only to be hurt and traumatized in the end...comparing everybody to him and not wanting to let go of what he use to be.

I kinda wish she would have faced her friend...but I'm satisfied with how it ended.
