A truly explosive mystery with a humorous face, this book will take you places you won't expect. As an important issue running through the book, Mimi still hasn't told Nick that she either saw her late husband or dreamed it, and that uncertainty has serious implications in their relationship. That is, until she sees him again and she is wide awake!
I enjoy this series so much. Jaime Less Scott is an outstanding writer of lighter suspense. She offers enough humor to balance the serious issues Mimi, Nick, and her friends face. She once again develops a complex and gripping plot line. And the characters....awesome!
What a great series, and all except the latest audiobooks are available through Hoopla at your library. The books and are short, fast reads, ending that kept you wanting to read the next book in the series. Glad I found this series.
I started this series with hope. By the third book I was sorely disappointed. The mystery aspect isn't bad but ALL these characters are truly awful. They are written as pretetious., Snobby, condescending idiots . Not a milometer of empathy or kindness between them.
The Gotcha investigators have their hands full figuring out connections between the characters as well as the interactions of present and past. Some questions get answered.
Not nearly as good as the prior books in this series. With every book, Nick and Mimi start back at square one with their relationship. No forward progress, just like this series.
This one had me guessing until the very end. Great wrap up with a great cast of believable and unforgettable characters. If you haven't started this series, you should!
I enjoyed reading this book very much. I love all the characters in the stories. The author makes them all feel real and life like. I would recommend it to anyone.
