Rayne Martin grew up in the Bible belt, went to church whenever it was open and always tried to be a good person. Her soul was never in question. Or was it?
Rayne was a typical teen excited to go off to college. However, the college she chose at random, was anything but typical. She soon recognized something wasn’t right. Her life was now filled with demons, Satanic worship and horrors she’d never imagined. After being saved, she begins to see the truth. As a new Christian, she embraces the fact she is now a daughter of the King and therefore, Royalty.
She’s called to lead a battle that will determine, not only her life, but those who side with her. They will have to take down pure evil if they hope to survive. If she resists, a whole town will be lost to the dark side. Rayne has no idea what to do. She has no experience. How can one young woman fight against wickedness, so much bigger than she’d ever known possible?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. ~ Ecclesiastes 4:12

, Don't let the title fool you, this story is about love, but has nothing to do a happily ever after prince finds his princess. This is not an adult Cinderella story, bur it is truly amazing.
Rayne Martin has graduated from high school, but doesn't wish to attend her parents alma mater as they wished for her. She wants to go away, and live on campus, to get the full college experience. She tosses up a dime, and it lands on Brighton College, located miles away from her Georgia home, and family.
At first her parents don't approve of her choice of a college, but then come around to seeing Rayne as an adult she wants desperately to be. She leaves Georgia, in her car that her parents gave her as a graduation/birthday gift. She couldn't possibly make the ride in one day, and her father made reservations in an Inn for her to stay, where she could eat dinner, and get to sleep at a decent hour.
She met some people along the way, cautioning her to be careful around strangers, and how much she trusted anyone. Being from a small town in Georgia, people were always polite and helpful, so all these warnings made her weary. It was going against the way she was raised, yes she knew to be careful around strangers, but the people she encountered so far, made the world sound like a harsher to place to live.
Her room mate, Becca, wasn't even close to the person she imagined herself rooming with, she imagined having a room mate that would be like a sister, and that they would always keep in touch, no matter what paths their lives took. Rayne decided to take a ride into town, to get familiar with the stores around her. It seemed Becca's attitude was the "norm" in this town, the owners of each establishment she went to treated her rudely, and refused to help her with anything
This town was nothing but pure evil, and Rayne needed to rely on everything she she was raised to believe, and to learn more of her Christian faith. She was born to be do good things, but on a higher level than either she or her parents thought were possible.

With summer approaching quickly, and vacation time coming soon for many, this would be a perfect book to read on a plane, pool side, or beach. Happy reading!

The description of this book pretty much sums it all up. This was a very good, entertaining, and insightful read. The author is a great storyteller and constantly kept me intrigued and wanting to know what Rayne would do next. At times it seemed like some of the conversations were a bit repetitive, but if I had been in Rayne's position, it may have taken that much repetition to get through to me as well. This book is a great reminder that, as children of the King, we really are royalty, and that He will guide us and be with us as we do His work.

This book is a story of self-discovery with a twist. The author masterfully weaves the world we know with the equally real and yet unseen world we also inhabit. Rayne discovers who she truly is in this exciting story, where truth is far more than we normally perceive, and random choices may not be up to chance at all. Well-written, full of unexpected twists and complicated relationships; I would recommend this book to anyone from teens through adulthood.

This was a neat tale and I enjoyed reading it. However, I do have to warn the reader that it is heavily Christian based including bible verses, so if that is not your cup of tea, then I would not recommend this book to you. I really loved the main character and liked watching her growth progress as she gained in faith and confidence through the chapters. And...of course...I Loved the Angels, who came to her rescue throughout the book.
