This book revolved around Cade, the oldest and the one in charge of their squad until their father comes back from...oh I can't tell you that....Anyway, Octavia went to a fortuneteller and brought all sorts of demon, degetty goo along with her to come and find Tally. You really need to read the book, because I do not like to give spoilers and if I keep going I will spoil the entire read. So, if you haven't read Hero Mine Book 0, check that out before this one, so you can get a better of idea where this one is going.

"Bearly" Able to Reach Her Fated Mate's Protective Arms
Frightened, Octavia runs from what is chasing her to reach a witch she has been told can help her. As her strength and energy run out, she is found by Cade whose presence make her feel safe even though she has no clue what is going on. I like the family and friends loyalty and unstinting support, and particularly the unequivocal love of fated mates. The action was palpable and fun to read. I look forward to the next book.

On the surface this book ticked all my boxes. Strong female h, alpha but not asshat H, suspenseful situations, and a believable love story.
The problem is there was just too much dialog, there is an endless discussion about everything, pages and pages of it. I was skipping forward constantly because things didn't actually move forward without at least ten pages of discussion first.
Honestly it reminded me of later LKH works so much and the reason I stopped reading her.

Good Book!
Loving this new series of Ms Raines, but the question I wanted to ask is how can Jack and Eva have a book together then fast forward 25 years later Jack has disappeared for five years to go in search if his brother Liam who also disappeared. Love this book of their son and Octavia but, will Jack ever return back to Eva?

Disappointed
I loved this book. I was geared up for the sequel. I was very disappointed when there was no sequel. I feel that this book was left in limbo and I would love a follow up instead of just in the air. This book was very well put together and needs an appropriate ending.

Brilliant
Bear Bait (Hero Mine Book 1) by Harmony Raines. Octavia is suddenly thrust into a world she doesn't understand. Huge men with glowing green eyes and men who change into bears. She doesn't know what to think except she feels a pull she can't resist to Cade. She knows she can trust Cade and he would keep her safe.

Fantastic!!!!!!
Totally super great book. I loved it. The action, love, intrigue and drama combined with witches, wizards and bears made for one totally fantastic fantasy story. It was great!

Great are usual.
I have never read one Harmony Raine's stories that I didn't enjoy. Great author. She Never disappoints. Well worth the read.

Cade is Jack and Eva's eldest son. He now leads the squad of bears who work for the council of druids.
They are all still having issues with the templars, who are growing in numbers.
Octavia is trying to escape from a monster, who is chasing her. She is finding out some things are not fairytales and Hollywood imaginations. Her new boyfriend Matthew, gave her the address of a witch he thinks can help her...if she can get there alive! A lot of excitement in this amazing story, along with suspence, mystery, and romance...Well worth reading. I can't wait for the next book!

I voluntarily ARC for honest review. This story is about Octavia , who is being chased by degetty. A friend tell her about a witch. In Tolleridge, Cade ,a leader of bear shifters , night hunter and a witch. Can the Council of Druids , knows with increasing strength and numbers with the Templars, will be working with Criminal Investigation Department. Can Cade and Octavia be fated mates? What's a Druid Box? Information on his missing father Jack. I love Harmony writing style and skilled storytelling. I love and recommend this book to everyone 😆 😙 The strong storyline and well developed characters brilliant exquisitely well written and supporting characters and strong subplots. This story is drama rom-com adventure provocative animalistic hot streamy explosives sex emotional rollar coaster hostilities action mystery suspense and captivating from start to finish .
