When a farmer's wife dies in childbirth, his three daughters turn to witchcraft to bring their mother back to life. A fairy tale full of magic, spells, potions, talking animals, and mysterious thieves, this short story is a companion folk tale to P. M. Pevato's Kobo Bestseller for Kids and Teens and Teen Hidden Gem Firefly: Ice Born -- Book One. For readers who haven't read Firefly, "The First Coven" is certain to peak readers' curiosity.
A flâneur at heart, P.M. Pevato constantly seeks new experiences whilst strolling down the boulevards of life.
Presently, the author is in what Virginia Woolf called "a room of her own", writing the second novel in the Secrets of Snow Valley series. She may be found wandering around Snow Valley, with little time for flânerie or Goodreads.
I love it when an author builds on the world they've created by sharing folk tales. The First Coven is one such tale in The Secrets of Snow Valley Series. This well written, original folktale does not disappoint. Fans of paranormal fiction will be drawn into Aradia's magical world. It is refreshing to read a new twist on a classic genre. If you have not read Firefly: Ice Born Book One, The First Coven will certainly give readers a taste of the author's world building and storytelling skills. I encourage fans of YA Paranormal to read this series. Can't wait for the next book.
