I stumbled upon this book at my job - I work in the children's section of a library. I was surprised that someone had mashed up Mario with the Wimpy Kid series to begin with, so naturally I had to open it up and see what it was all about.
I would never, ever give this to one of my children. The grammar throughout was absolutely horrendous, and I wouldn't want my kids to pick up on bad writing habits such as those. The content seemed as though the author was trying to be humorous, but I found it to be pretty bland. The ridiculousness of the story lines made it entertaining to criticize as an adult, and I don't think that's what the author intended when writing this.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, unless of course they asked me to recommend something not to read. While it was entertaining (as an adult) to pan through and laugh at the chaos thrown upon these pages, I cannot see this book being beneficial to any child's reading/writing development. Pass up this one, guys. There are so many books out there that are actually funny! Don't waste your time with this.
It uses screen shots from other Mario games like Mario galaxy 2 and new super Mario bros as pictures Bowser for some random reason is called king cooper.
The story is a typical Mario story where Bowser kidnapped peach... And Mario just rescue her.
