A Sydney Rye Kindle World magnetopunk thriller featuring Van and LeBrun.
How is Daesh, the Islamic State, funding its war of oppression in the Middle East? Van and LeBrun are determined to find out.
Van Freeman, the dreamiest socialist surfer dude secret agent, takes his electromagnetic gun and his hunter-killer drones on a harrowing trip through Daesh-occupied territory, blowing stuff up in his inimitable style, to unravel a three-way deal that feeds the 21st century?s most evil regime.
After a 20-year career in journalism, he turned to writing fiction. "Sam, the Strawb Part," a children's story, came out in 2011, with all the proceeds going to an autism charity. Next was a paranormal short story for grown-ups, "Dark Clouds."
The Bones of the Earth, a historical fantasy, came out in 2012. It was followed in 2013 with One Shade of Red, an erotic romance.
The Eastern Front trilogy tells the true story of Maurice Bury, a Canadian drafted into the USSR’s Red Army to face the German invasion of the Soviet Union. Army of Worn Soles, the first volume, was published in 2014, followed by Under the Nazi Heel in 2016 and Walking Out of War in 2017.
Scott Bury has been invited to contribute to three Kindle Worlds. For the Jet Kindle World, based on a character created by bestseller Russell Blake, he published Jet – Stealth: A Jet Kindle World Novella in July 2015.
The same week, he published Torn Roots: A Lei Crime Kindle World Novella featuring characters created by bestselling Hawaii crime author Toby Neal. He has since published three more Lei Crime Kindle World books: Palm Trees & Snowflakes (December 2015), Dead Man Lying (2016) and Echoes (2017).
Emily Kimelman, author of the Sydney Rye series, invited Scott to contribute to the Sydney Rye Kindle World. His answer was The Wife Line in 2016, and The Three-Way in 2017.
In between writing books and blog posts, Scott helped found an author's cooperative publishing venture, Independent Authors International. He is also President of author's professional association BestSelling Reads.
He lives in Ottawa with his two mighty sons, two pesky cats and a very understanding wife.

i had the great pleasure of receiving a copy of this book. this was a very intense fast paced really well written book. although it complements the Sydney Rye books, it is a wonderful stand alone that left me wanting to read more. Scott has a wonderful talent for writing a story that you is so easy to get lost in.
Here is Van, who is becoming one of my favorite Sydney Rye KW characters, going headlong into danger to rescue a damsel in distress. This time, he has some very James Bond-sey tech toys, 2 of which he actually name Sirius and Procyon. He is in the thick of recruits for radical Islamists-Daesh from America and from all other parts of the world. Even though this is fiction, I always gain deep insight and desire to learn more about whanever Scott writes about. Very strong women, fighting for their country and culture, very fast-paced story, very well fits in with the SRye series. Lovin' it! I was priviledged to recieve an ARC to review. Thanks! More about Van, please!
Now this is the kind of book I love! Even though it's been awhile since we've seen Van in action he hasn't changed a bit. Still the surfer blonde dude with long hair that does as he pleases, but he packs a strong punch. Never judge a guy by his looks because Van is not what you think. This guy has the most incredible "toys" to fight against ISIS, Daesh, as he goes undercover as a recruit. A magnetic gun and weaponized drones are very creative and powerful. We have the return of a few favorite characters, Bobby Maxim is an old friend of Sydney's and ally of Van's, and the female warriors from Girl with a Gun. Sydney was sort of MIA here but her friends are present and she's talked of fondly. This is the second addition Bury has written for Sydney Rye's Kindle World but it stands completely alone, not necessary to read Wife Line or any Sydney books. However, if you are reading within this Kindle World you no doubt know the story and should be pleased with this thrilling high energy ride. **This review was written voluntarily after reading an advanced copy from the author.
Scott Bury's "The Three-Way" is a pleasure to read -- fun and exciting with well-crafted tension throughout the story. The author successfully places the reader in the heart of ISIS-controlled territory and allows us to play along as protagonist Van deals forcefully with one "bad hombre" after another. An easy read in the very best sense of that term.
I received an advance copy of this book and am pleased to provide a review.
