When in Rome… The warning signs are everywhere, but will Jill realise in time? An unexpected visitor may be her only hope. … do eat the custard creams.
This is the latest novella in this series I've read, and each on I rated 3-4 stars more 4's then 3. I'm not going to keep reviewing them, you can read the 1st 10 to see what I thought or you can download the first one for free on Amazon I really recommend you do that if you like witch stories or funny British humor.
A fun and entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series
A fun and entertaining urban fantasy cozy mystery series. Jill Gooder a private investigator in the human world finds out she’s a witch. Living most of her life with her adopted family she finds out that she is actually a witch. Upon her biological mother‘s death her power start to activate and she finds out she has more relatives in the supernatural world. She meets her grandmother her aunt her cousins and even the ghost of her mother. Follow along as her and her friends investigate murders mysteries and trouble in both the human world as well as the supernatural world. A fun and entertaining storyline with an entertaining cast of characters.
I honestly love this book. It has plenty of humour, a characters who seems REAL, magic and develops the series plot a LOT. I thought that jacks mum was awesome as well and Winky is hilarious. Honestly Jill's personality bothers me sometimes because she is so terrible with family and she is a bit insensitive. Jill's stupidity when it comes to Social interaction is the main reason I am rating this 4 instead of 5 stars, Buuut... Overall I have to give it to you this book is hilarious and I'd recommend it for girl between 9-17
Twenty stories into the series and still as entertaining as ever. Fun, funny and now very familiar characters never disappoint the reader. Winky the one eyed cat could carry a series of stories on his own. Pure fantasy stories offer a refreshing break for a few hours. I always eagerly anticipate the next book release in this series.
Jill has many adventures in this book, including some fun ones with her sister and with Jack. She solves a murder mystery, as well as a Candlefield mystery. Her world is expanded to Ghost Town, or GT, where she solves another mystery. I like the ending the best where Jill is left with the greatest mystery of all.
Well the backstory is heating up again. I really enjoy my witch PI fix these days since she usually has several cases going now and the backstory is progressing with every installment.
I can't believe we are on book 20 but it's true! That being said, it's still as good as the first. All of your favorite characters are back and we get to meet Jack's mom, whom you will love.
Can't stop reading them this is a great series and am looking forward to more!! Keep them coming!! Sorry not great with words it's why I read someone else can come up with the words for me!!
I just love this series. Jill's family, both sets of ghost parents, aunt and cousins are perfect. I love the new addition of Jack's mom!!!! I'm excited to read the next installment.
Interesting cases involving sups, humans and ghosts, Jack's Mother and a personal life with Jack! This volume is packed with fun, adventure and mystery. Don't forget the mayhem from the families, Winky and Grandma!
Where does our author come up with the names in her books? Does anyone else find these names as amusing as our shero Jill and myself? It does amaze me. I restlessly await my next adventure.
Absolutely wonderful characters that interact with each other beautiful! Fabulous plot twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this series.
These keep sucking me in...I'm not even sure why. After 20 books, they have devolved into a very predictable format. The only surprise in this one was Yvonne. I'm really tired of the stupid names and dumb jokes...none of which are remotely funny.
Jill is still getting roped into doing things that she doesn't want to do. She is still solving mysteries. Her cat Winky is still being manipulative. Yet, there are new clues to a mystery that she doesn't even understand.
I’ve been wizzing through this series and really enjoying the characters and there are “characters”. lol Funny and usually causing trouble for herself Jill is one smart cookie.
This book has many twists and turns. At first the reader has no idea whom the murderer might be, and eventually our favorite P.I. has solved the case. Can’t stop now! There’s still 25 more books to go.
The errors seem to be getting worse rather than better. Seven errors were found in this book. Is proofreading a thing of the past??? There should never be this many mistakes in any book!!
Love this series of books. So easygoing that you can dip in and out of. Winky does annoy me slightly. Even though he did help her in the last book. Will definitely be reading more.
