BOOK 5 OF THE DARK NEW WORLD SERIES

The invaders have been repelled for now, but Cassy’s problems are far from over. Her nascent body of allies, the Confederation, may have a traitor among them. With the Empire coming from the west to “liberate” survivors and land alike, the timing couldn’t be worse. And while General Taggart has promised more aid, he has his hands full with a ’vader enemy of his own. Will he liberate New Jersey in time to help the besieged Clan and her allies? In the meantime, the General Under the Mountain and his cabal, the 20s, have plans of their own, plans which could turn the tide of America’s future one way or the other…

This series just keeps getting better and better. The complexities that have developed and the depth of the characters, including intensification of characters once minor and now becoming major players is fantastic. The story is so timely, so relevant and I can't put them down. While this genre often gets dismissed, take a detour and check out the world of the "preppers" and what can happen when the world gets a jolt it will never forget.

Excellent continuation of the story. Very fast paced with a lot of action and intrigue. Cassy gets on my nerves at times and can be foolish with her insistence on being superwoman. Sets up for the next step of the story.

War

Still a great series but there are endless battles and lots of politics. That sounds like real life and I read to escape and for entertainment. Still I’m hooked now and must finish the series.

Scary stuff

Wow I hope this doesn't happen to America but if it should I feel American people will rise to the challenge.

The saga of the Clan continues. Follow Casey’s Clan and other like minded groups as they come together to fight the invaders and the new false government.

This series is a quick read. Apocalyptic, survival type series that is somewhat predictable at times but entertaining as I keep reading them.
