Grace Through the Fire

Saved, fabulous, beautiful, and independent — those are the four words that best describe LaShonda Riverton. With a kind and caring heart added into the mix, she’d make a good catch for some lucky man. Now that she’s hit the big three-o, she’s starting to really feel the draw of settling down and starting a family. When her godmother’s saved and eligible nephew, Jonathan, shows up on Shonda’s front doorstep, she hadn’t seen his handsome face in years. Shonda had only been twelve and Jonathan seventeen when they’d last laid eyes on one another. Needless to say, Jonathan hadn’t had Shonda on his mind as a love interest back then. But now Shonda’s grown into a lovely and vivacious woman. She draws Jonathan’s full attention and the two soon come to realize that they share a mutual attraction. Unfortunately, Shonda has scars that she’s still carrying from her past. Will those scars ruin Jonathan and Shonda’s chance for a happy-ever-after?

Loved Grace Through The Fire

Every book that read is this series always has an underlying realistic issue. Jonathan and Reshonda had to tackle the ugly issue of colonial: which is one of the multiple manifestations of slavery! But through therapy and God we can overcome anything! Thank you, Ms. Jones for dealing with this issue in such a loving way! Now, as usual, I loved the love story of Reshonda & Jonathan! Next up, Lexi & Alonso!

LaShonda is an attractive, self employed , saved and beautiful young lady. At her age, she is beginning to feel some kind of way. She’s single and not opposed to God sending her soulmate. Shonda’s new tenant is not only looking to relocate, but he too is ready to meet his soulmate. Can these two make a love connection? Well they prob could, but there’s a force at play to ensure that they do not hook up.

Graceful Through the Fire...

This was the first romance book that I've read about colorism. It was quite interesting. I can't believe a mother would act like that towards their own children. My sister and I are two different colors and my mother never showed any difference towards us. I'm glad Amanda finally came around.

I'm happy that Shonda's faith was strong and didn't believe Celeste's trifling tail.

Color of Love

I enjoyed reading about Jonathan and Shonda’s love journey. It's sad when a mother can't love herself nor her child because of their skin color and tries to sabotage her other child's engagement because she doesn't like the skin color of their fiance. I'm glad that Jonathan and Shonda got married and their HEA.

God's love...

has no color ! What an enlightening story that resonates in our country but also in different races and ethnicities. I have seen it in blacks (AA), Asians, East Asians, Indians from India and more. The love story was entertaining and well written. I'm becoming a fan of this author.

Reality Check

This book really opened my eyes. I’ve heard of Colorism more so in the past few years. It’s sad that this is what we have come to within our own culture. I can only pray that along with all that’s going on in this world we get through this. We Are Stronger Together

I'm glad Shonda didn't give up on Jonathan because she would missed out on her man. Amanda was irritating but I'm glad she changed her ways. Great story Taretha.

This was a very good read. I was cheering for Shonda the whole book. Unfortunately I have a family member who thinks like the mama in this book did, so I could relate.
