Ginger and Logan need admittance to an engaged-couples-only event for different reasons. They pretend to be engaged, and soon afterwards, they end up married but will they stay married?

I was in the mood for something short and light, so I picked up this book. It is short, cute, and happy, but I feel like it tried to do too much in too few pages.

So Good!!!!
I loved this book! Ginger and Logan were intriguing and complex characters who jumped to life on the page. The plot is fun and makes all kinds of unexpected twisty turns. Can't wait to read more of the Indigo Bay series AND the Blueberry Springs series. An excellent read!

Although an easy read with chemistry between the character, I just found it all a little far fetched and not quite believable.

Reviewed at Romance Is Ageless

I had such a good time with Logan and Ginger’s romance in Sweet Matchmaker. It might have started out as a totally fake relationship based on far different needs for them each – but it grew into something so much more, something well worth fighting to keep.

Ginger is the owner of a bridal shop back in Blueberry Springs. She’s in Indigo Bay to help her business, connect with engaged couples and make certain that her business stays afloat. Trouble is, she needs a fiance in order to get into the engaged couples events and she’s coming up against a dead end with this gentleman keeping that red rope entryway firmly engaged. Luckily while spinning her tale of a “just stepped away” fiance the gentleman she’d bumped into earlier, the one with the amazing Australian accent also needs into that event for very different reasons… and Logan firmly claimed her right then and there with a story the guard dog employee bought hook, line and sinker. Funny how fate just seemed to step in at the right moment – but it’s up to Logan and Ginger to make this work.

Everything you need to know to pick up this book is in the story blurb – and I really do hope you’ll grab Sweet Matchmaker for it’s a charming romance with a couple that has some very real issues to deal with. Logan is desperate to stay in the states to wrap up the case he’s been working on, he’s so close he can taste the arrest. His little farce with Ginger was only supposed to help him out for a few days, he would make sure she was safe and unhurt physically. But he knew he couldn’t help the emotional hurt he was going to cause, and for the first time he hesitated at what he had to do, because hurting Ginger didn’t set right with him. I fell in love with Logan, and I believe you will as well. Ginger’s grandmother is an amazing woman who delivers a loving but stern conversation exactly when Ginger needs to hear it. Annabelle, who Logan is guardian for, is a sweet teenager who will capture your heart easily. Yes, there are bad guys, but they don’t fill up this story as more than side characters – this one is all about falling in love when you least expect it and laying everything on the line to keep that love for a lifetime.

I would happily recommend Sweet Matchmaker and the entire Indigo Bay series to any Contemporary Romance reader who loves a good romance, enjoys those secondary characters who bring a book alive, and experiencing falling in love along with the main characters. This one is a keeper, just like Logan.

I own a Kindle edition of this book.

I absolutely loved Sweet Matchmaker! Jean Oram has written another utterly irresistible sweet romance filled with humor, drama, and romance. Ginger and Logan met in a humorous way and they clicked from the beginning. Their phony marriage allowed each of them to accomplish their individual goals as well as pushed them together in intimate ways. The introduction of Annabelle brought new insight into Logan and what kind of man he really was. He is my kind of man: sweet, smart, sexy, special. He knows how to treat a lady right. And with an Aussie accent...well. what more could a lady ask for?

I strongly urge you to read Sweet Matchmaker. It is well-written with believable, likable characters, and a plot that kept me hooked from page 1. I highly recommend reading all the books by Jean Oram. She is an awesome author.

Ginger and Logan meet and pretend to be engaged to get into an event for engaged couples in Indigo Bay. She ends up winning several prizes including an elopement package and the honeymoon cottage. Logan will lose his visa to Australia if he doesn't find a way to extend it with a marriage of convenience. He also has to think about his ward Annabelle with Downs Syndrome, who is in a special home in Indigo Bay and hates change. Annabelle is who wins Ginger over to agreeing to the marriage of convenience. But Logan is very secretive and it seems like he is up to no good. Will he be able to keep Ginger safe without blowing his cover? Nice summer romance with plenty of humor and action.

It was sweet and had some little unexpected things. Though the ‘MatchMaker’ part was less important than the title suggests and is really more of a random thing that happens throughout the book. And wasn’t prevalent enough to warrant being the title.

Not quite

I don't know why this didn't grab me but it didn't. Something didn't work or I was distracted. Maybe the theme was too familiar or inbelievable. Both are true.

Great sweet read, mild interaction

When an international spy needs a fiancee to help with his cover, he has little idea of what's really going to happen. And when a struggling entrepreneur with dreams of buying g a wedding g business needs a fiance to get into the engagement getaway to get more clients and ideas for her future business, she gets far more than she bargained for. How can this mock marriage ever be more than a farce? Trust, staying power, and love, that's how. Oh, yes, don't forget the kisses. . .they help a lot, too!
Great book, Ms Oram. Thanks for a good read!

I received this book in a multiple giveaway, and I am volunteering my review for the benefit of other readers.

Fun sweet read

Wow! This was such a fun book! I bought it several months ago and has been sitting on my kindle waiting to be read. I finally got around to reading it and was not disappointed.
This story starts off with a spy, Logan trying to infiltrate into Vito’s criminal world. Unsuspecting Ginger comes along and unknowingly fills the role of fake fiancée he was looking for. Soon they find themselves in a Honeymoon cottage and falling in love while Logan tries to keep Ginger safe. That being said be assured that this is a clean romance, no sex and no vulgarities.
The book was sweet and exciting without having a lot of drama and intense moments. The author kept it light but interesting.

Very exciting!

A great book. Our hero has an accent and is a spy! From the author's description, he as a great body also.

This book had no sex scenes but lots of heat and fun.

Our heroine got involved in the spying by accident which added to the fun.

No real misunderstandings or drama other than the spying business. There is some danger but you know our hero will keep our heroine safe.

Can't wait go see what the author has in store for the reader in the next book in this series. But it's going to take a lot to top this one.

In haste, Ginger says yes to a marriage of convenience to help Logan, the father of a special-needs child, keep his child.
From the first scene to the last, this story had my attention. Logan is after Vito the diamond smuggler. Eighteen-year-old Annabelle Babkins, daughter of a fellow agent who'd been killed in the line of duty lived in assisted living. An exciting read with interesting characters. So much, I lost sleep.

Sweet, sweet story

This was a sweet story. I loved the twists and turns that finally got Ginger and Logan to figure out what was important in their lives. I loved the conversation between Ginger and her grandmother that opened Ginger’s eyes about her former relationships. Gran had put the wheels in motion to get Ginger to realize how she sabotaged all her previous relationships. Ginger, Logan and AnnaBee are all going to be very happy in Blueberry Springs.

A clean, sweet and romantic read.

A clean, sweet and romantic read. Written well, dialog was witty and plot held my interest however it felt a little light in the subplots. The spy and diamond aspects weren't developed enough, in my opinion, into what could have been a suburb story.

It's a book Hallmark movie

The characters are paper thin. The plot makes no sense at all. And there's no sex. If you are going to do the bare minimum everywhere else hot sweaty sex scenes will at least make it worth my while. Brilliantly hot sweaty sex scenes will even push me to give it a decent rating. So the G rated crap gets a whomp whomp.

Check mate!

This book was wonderful from the first page to the last! What a way to meet the guy or girl of your dream. After Ginger and Logan had been burned by love and swore off on love ever happening and then each using the other to accomplish their assignment and end up truly in love with each other, how much better could this book be! Loved it!

Spy Craft?

Intrigue, underworld shenanigans force romantic dreamer, Ginger, into a marriage of convenience with Logan. The engaging plot develops more like one of mystery than pure romance. This was a bonus for me. Here's another good beach read. ☺

Cute

Too short, but clean and super cute. I’m hoping this was more of a teaser and the rest of this author’s books are longer. But she did a great job of wrapping things up so I didn’t feel like I was missing anything.

Ginger and Logan have a common goal... to get into an engaged couples party. They team up shortly after literally bumping into each other and the results are disastrous or hilarious, depending on your point of view. The sweet matchmaker and the distracted spy make a very cute couple.
