A funny cozy mystery series set in Australia. First THREE books in series. BOOK ONE: Live and Let Diet USA Today Bestseller Sybil Potts moves to Little Tatterford, a small town in the middle of nowhere in Australia, seeking to find peace and quiet after the upheaval of her divorce. Although the town is sleepy and nothing has ever happened, her arrival coincides with a murder in the property adjacent to her cottage. Sybil soon finds she is at odds with the attractive Blake Wessley, the exasperated police officer who is trying to solve the murder. After Sibyl narrowly misses becoming the next victim, she turns her attention to the suspects. Is it the English gentleman, Mr. Buttons, who serves everyone tea and cucumber sandwiches, or her landlord, Cressida Upthorpe, who is convinced that her fat cat, Lord Farringdon, speaks to her? Or is it someone else entirely?
BOOK TWO: Natural-born Grillers When one of the new boarders, an eminent professor of Socratic philosophy, is found poisoned by hemlock in a meal of grilled quail, eccentric boarding house owner Cressida Upthorpe soon becomes the main suspect. Sibyl Potts, with the help of Mr. Buttons, launches herself into the investigation, much to the consternation of stressed police officer Blake Wessley. As the body count mounts, will Sibyl be able to clear Cressida’s name and find the real killer?
BOOK THREE: Dye Hard Obnoxious ghost hunters descend on Cressida Upthorpe’s boarding house, convinced it must be a source of paranormal activity given that three murders have occurred there in a short space of time. After one of the ghost hunters is murdered with poisoned hair dye, Sibyl does her best to keep well away from the investigation, that is, until Cressida almost falls victim. With the bumbling detectives back in town and on the scene, Sibyl races to solve the murder before the body count rises.

This is a box set of the first three books in the Australian Amateur Sleuth Series. You will follow Sibyl Potts as she moves to Tatterford into a cottage near a boarding house run by Cressida. Mr. Buttons is a permanent resident at the boarding house. Blake is the very attractive police officer.
Follow along as these wonderful characters solve a few murders. With each book new characters are introduced that either are guests at the boarding house or work there.
Morgana Best has beautifully written a cozy mystery series that is fun and fast to read. I can’t recommend these book highly enough. I absolutely love them!
Sybil Potts moves to Little Tatterford to a rental that is rented for her by her ex-husband. Of course, the rental isn’t all it’s made out to be, but the neighbors in the adjacent boarding house make up for it. Soon after her move, one of the boarders is murdered. Sybil can’t help herself and becomes involved and almost becomes the next victim. Fun Read. Oh, and Sybil has a little secret of her own.
BOOK TWO: Natural-born Grillers
The boarding house is taken over by a group of philosophy professors getting ready for a conference. Once again, the small town is surprised by another murder. Is Sybil at fault or Cressida, the owner of the boarding house? Since the detectives know that Cressida is guilty, Sybil is forced to try to solve the murder. Thoroughly enjoyed.
BOOK THREE: Dye Hard
A group of ghost hunters are taking over the boarding house. Sybil and the others have never noticed ghosts but the team says there’s stories about them. One of the team dies and then Cressida is taken ill. This is another enjoyable story.
These three books had more twists and turns than an old telephone cord. I loved how the characters and the things happening were so fun; my quirky-loving mind really appreciated that! No standard themes for this author. And just when you expect this to happen, it quickly becomes that! I loved these books, and I can recommend them to anyone who loves their cozies a bit different, in a good way!
I thought these books were inter and such a fun read. They were well written and I loved the quirky characters--especially Mr. Buttons. Have already bought the next set and looking forward to reading them. Recommend reading.
