I like the idea of flipping the script and having past, human X-Men villains as the heroes of this series fighting to survive in a world full of mutants. My problem is that all the characters are exactly the same with zero personality. At least Lapham got to finish his Weapon Omega story before the forced crossover that ended this series along with X-Treme X-Men and soon after Astonishing X-Men. That crossover is terrible and filled with terrible art.

We're back in the Age of Apocalypse reality with a world ruled by the another evil dictator who took-out Apocalypse... Meanwhile Creed and Jean have lost their powers and have joined the human resistance. A nice continuation of the reality with a magnificent last issue in the X-Termination arc / event! Unfortunately a lot of the stuff in between feels like filler; in addition to understand the rationale and scope of Termination, you really need to read Greg Pak's X-Treme X-Men. 6 out of 12.

Prophet is still too overpowered. He's faster than the fasties, stronger than the strongies, smarter than the smarties . . . .

It seems like the whole thing could have been resolved with him going one-on-one with Weapon X.

At any event, it's clear that everyone was given the wrap-up sign here. Not only were each of the stories themselves a little half-baked but the whole thing then comes together in a deus ex deus kind of way (that actually seems to prefigure and contradict Secret Wars?)

It's too bad. I remember liking Dazzler's team and some of the X-Force stuff.

Also a surprising % of typoes given how few words are involved.

I understand the place of the multiverse in the Marvel universe, but where some stories go they shouldn't. This comic went so off base that it was basically ally bad fan fiction trying to pass as the real thing. The characters were so off base and the overall plot just did not fit with the Marvel universe. Then mix in mediocre art work and you get this total waste of time. I love the X-Men, but people are just messing with everything that is good about them just to make money. Don't even waste your time reading this for free at your local library.

Look it was enjoyable. The first half probably moreso than the second. I like the Age of Apocalypse series and the twists on things. It just became something else in the second half.
