Allora perché Kylie all'improvviso lo sta evitando?
Jill Myles has been an incurable romantic since childhood. She reads all the 'naughty parts' of books first, looks for a dirty joke in just about everything, and thinks to this day that the Little House on the Prairie books should have been steamier.
After devouring hundreds of paperback romances, mythology books, and archaeological tomes, she decided to write a few books of her own - stories with a wild adventure, sharp banter, and lots of super-sexy situations. She prefers her heroes alpha and half-dressed, her heroines witty, and she loves nothing more than watching them overcome adversity to fall into bed together.
Yippee Cade's book! And better yet...his lead heroine is NOT DAPHNE! Hells Yeah!!! Thank goodness...hated that girl.
*Update* I liked it! Enjoyed both lead characters and was really happy to see Cade get his HEA! Still fucking hate Daphne...she's a real piece of work. She was just as mean and spiteful in this book as she was in the others. Her nicknames for her staff repulsed me. It seems she may have met her man in the end of this book and all I can say to that is best of luck Wesley...you're sooo gonna need it.
Fans of this series have been waiting for Cade Archer's story for a while now, and expectations are high. At the beginning of One Night with a Billionaire, Cade Archer is fast losing patience with Daphne Petty constantly pushing him away while she self destructs. But he wasn't willing to give up on her yet. Giving in once again to her demands, Cade Archer found herself backstage during one of her concerts.
That night he meets Kylie Daniels. And despite the complicated situation, Cade found himself being drawn to the vibrant young woman who is the opposite of Daphne in every way. Cade found himself charmed and insanely attracted to Kylie. Due to circumstances, Kylie and Cade found themselves indulging in one crazy night of passion, one that Cade was willing to recreate over and over again. That meeting with Kylie changes things for Cade and he realized he found something good in Kylie. Something that he was willing to fight for.
Kylie Daniels didn't plan to sleep with her boss' ex. She needed her job (Daphne's make-up artist) to pay for her Nana's crippling medical care. Prior to getting the job as Daphne's make-up artist, she was months behind her payments with no money to her name and crashing on her friend's couch. She was desperate. She just barely survived her previous relationship and pursuing a relationship with Cade will destroy not only her career and her self-esteem. It's important for readers to remember this because it explains a lot about Kylie's motivation throughout the book.
Because of Daphne's complicated relationship with Cade, I thought it was understandable that she's going to be in this book. It would have been disingenuous on the author's part if she ignores the Daphne connection altogether. On the other hand, it won't be much of a romance story if Cade's history with her gets more page time than Cade's story with Kylie. I'm happy to say that Jessica Clare handled this aspect very well. Yes, Daphne is in this book but she's nowhere near the center of Cade and Kylie's relationship. She did complicate Cade's relationship with Kylie by virtue of her being Kylie's boss but she was never in the running for Cade's affection in any away.
But that is not to say, Kylie and Cade had an easy time. Kylie had to deal with her guilt about her Nana and her guilt about her relationship with Cade. She had so much to lose, much more than Cade ever would, once their relationship would come to light. Her fears were justified in my opinion and I found myself rooting for her.
Cade is every bit as wonderful as in the previous books in the series. I'm glad it didn't take him the whole book to figure things out. Once he decided it was Kylie, he was there pursuing her. And oh my Lord, that man knows to romance a woman. He was sweet and very persuasive. He's not above using his wealth and influence to win over Kylie either. This normally would have annoyed me but seriously, this man can persuade me anytime and I'm there.
And can I say something about the sexy times these two indulged in, in this book because these two burned up the sheets with their chemistry. Because they were keeping their relationship on the down low, their trysts became even hotter and more illicit. I found myself blushing at some of the sexy scenes in this book because they are so deliciously wicked.
The only thing that I really didn't like was the constant reminder by Kylie about her weight. Yes, she's a big girl and no, I don't need to read about it every other page. I'm exaggerating but it was an irritation. It wasn't enough to stop me from enjoying this book obviously, but I could have done without the constant reminders.
I know readers are tired of the billionaire trope but if there's a billionaire book you should pick up and read right now, I would wholeheartedly recommend this series. The stories are incredibly well written, fun and wickedly sexy. This book made me smile, got me hot and bothered and most importantly, it gave me a satisfying HEA.

All I can do at this point is reiterate everyone else's first reaction, i.e., THANK FUCK AND ALL THE GODS that Cade's not going to end up with Daphne. Because I genuinely was not interested in any romantic redemption for Daphne despite my avowed love for bad-girls-trying-to-turn-good. See, Cade's always been the sweetest of the BBC to my mind, and I did NOT want him drawn into Daphne's darkness. Girlfriend needs to figure that shit out for herself if she's to have any chance of making her sobriety stick. Especially when we've already seen what little regard she has for anyone when she's on a self-destructive bent.
So basically, yay for Cade, and I hope this whole "Daphne wants Cade so he's off-limits to Kylie" shit doesn't make Daphne even more annoying.
One Night with a Billionaire is a standalone and is part of the Billionaire Boys Club series. Each book focuses on a billionaire that is a part of a secret society club.
I’m completely heartbroken this series is O.V.E.R. I’m going to crawl into a ball and cry my bloody eyes out. I can’t believe I took on a chance with this series. I didn’t know what I was going to get and I can say I’m a completely JESSICA CLARE FAN!
This is Cade’s story. I was really nervous reading this one. We met Cade and we know he’s in love with Daphne. I didn’t know how I would feel about the leading Hero still hung-up on his crush. Daphne is a big old mess. She’s a signer and is addicted to drugs. Cade worked really hard in getting her clean, but he’s not there to watch her 24-7 and it seems like Daphne is going into the deep end again.
Kylie is a make-up artist and signed up to tour with Daphne. Kylie is just there for the money. She needs it for her family and she’s willing to put up with Daphne’s issues, even when Daphne calls her the fat-girl. I know, it’s crazy! But I gobbled it up.
I was really happy the story isn’t about Daphne and Cade. Yes, Daphne is in the story, but she isn’t the main focus. I am not sure if Daphne can redeem herself, but a tiny part of me wants her to have a story. I know, I’m a crazy.
I love Kylie. I found her cute, adorable and I love that she is curvy. YAY to curvy girls. I like how different Kylie and Daphne were. Daphne is high –strung, skinny and mean, where Kylie is curvy, strong and really well-rounded. Cade meets Kylie while he waits for Daphne to be done with her meet and greets. Cade is getting really fed up with Daphne and he doesn’t want to be second string anymore. Cade notices Kylie and they forge a friendship.
I love how Cade and Kylie meet and they had this insta-connection. Oh and it gets steamy real quick and I totally got into that. I liked that Cade wasn’t the lap-puppy anymore. I liked that he didn’t want Daphne to push him around and I liked that he was really clear on his feelings towards Kylie. I also liked the whole damsel in distress story-line. Yes I loved it when Daphne was really horrible to Kylie. It was just addictive and I couldn’t stop reading. Kylie doesn’t want drama and tries to keep her relationship with Cade from Daphne.
If you haven’t tried this series or you are probably thinking well what’s so different with this verse all the other billionaire books, I can’t really explain it. I love Jessica’s writing. It’s cute, it has some angst and there’s ALWAYS an alpha male. What’s not to love? Each book is different and I love all themes. You have one that’s stranded on an island, one that is royalty, one with scars on his face and there’s much much much more.
Read this series. I promise you, it will be worth it.
Here's a nice little quote about the hero and the woman that's NOT the heroine.
“But the truth was, Cade had been in love with Daphne since he was fifteen, when they were both trailer rats without a nickel to rub together. And now that she was in trouble, it was hard to just cut her off and wish her the best. Not when they’d slept together eight months ago . . . and then she’d tried to kill herself. Hell, he was still messed up over that himself.”
Or this one
“Daphne Petty had been his first kiss, his first love, his first, well, everything. She’d been so special—talented, funny, smart, and with a way of drawing people in and making them notice her."
And that's my queue to DNF. You want me to believe the heroine isn't second best after reading that? That he just got over his 15 year love/obsession that easily? Bullshit.

Before I begin my review, I will just say that I am a big fan of JESSICA CLARE and reading this last and sixth final installment, One Night with a Billionaire was bittersweet for me. I am a bit sad and heartbroken to say goodbye to these six billionaires who were able to capture our hearts with their sexy and dynamic personalities. And in Ms. Clare's newest release, she ended this series with such perfection. One Night with a Billionaire had all the elements that I loved, craved and adored when reading a good romance book from a sexy hero, a lovable heroine, lots of steamy moments, and of course the right amount of angst that will keep you glued to your kindle and devouring the book in one sitting. The writing and storytelling alone was just beautifully well done and crafted. So if you are familiar with this series, then you will know the last billionaire left that is single is Cade Archer and this time he finally gets his happily ever after.
Cade Archer was the kind of billionaire with a heart of gold. Seriously, I loved him. He was just perfection for me since he was one of the good ones that any woman would be lucky to have him as their husband. Well, in the previous books we all know that Cade has been in love with his childhood friend Daphene Petty, who happens to be a famous pop singer. She has it all from beauty, adoring fans, and fame. But the real Daphene is just a hot mess. Simply, she's a drug addict. And for fifteen years, Cade's world revolved around Daphene and was just waiting for that moment for Daphene to see him. His relationship with her can be considered as one-sided since she always just treated him as just someone who will clean up her mess.
Kylie Daniels is a makeup-artist, who needs to get a job stat since her bills are piling up and she needs to make payments for her grandmother's hospice care. So when she was hired to be the makeup artist of Daphene Petty, she didn't expect to fall in love while she was on tour. Kylie is the sweetest and has the most beautiful caring heart. In all honesty, she was the kind of heroine that I would love to have as friend. While on tour with Daphene, she happens to meet Cade. Instantly she's attracted to Cade but knows in the back of her mind that Cade and Daphene has this history.
When a drunken Cade finally sees that Daphene hasn't changed, he's hurt but at that same time it was an eye opening experience for him because it was the first time he was able to see Kylie Daniels. The first time he met Kylie, he was instantly attracted to this curvaceous bombshell. So when Kylie and Cade had a drunken one night stand, Cade knew what he wanted.. it wasn't Daphene Petty that consumed his thoughts but Kylie Daniels.
Throughout the story, Kylie and Cade begins a secret romantic relationship but Kylie is hesitant of committing to him since she knows she's playing with fire since Daphene is her boss. And she also knows that Daphene would be beyond pissed if she ever finds out about her and Cade which could further lead to Daphene and her excessive drug use. As Kylie tries to push away Cade, she knows her heart will never be the same because she knows she's fallen hard for him. So when Daphene discovers their secret relationship, will Kylie not only lose her job but also Cade? Or will Cade prove to Kylie that she is the only woman he loves, wants and needs?
What can I say but I LOVED One Night with a Billionaire and this series is a MUST READ!!!! This book had it all from humor, sweet moments, drama, angst, and of course a love story that will give you the warm fuzzy feelings. As much as I wanted to dislike Daphene, I couldn't because she was a woman crying and needing help but I am so relieved that Ms. Clare was able to give Cade the closure he needed. I love a story that highlights that love is not a burden but a gift to be treasured. And for Kylie Daniels, she finally found a man who gave her the kind of love she deserved. So if you are looking for a book with lovable characters and a beautiful and heartwarming love story, then I highly recommend you to read One Night With A Billionaire.
why cade does not provide for kylie after they got marrried? he is rich right? billionaire according to the book title. because of his lack financial support to kylie, kylie is force to work for daphne
why kylie and cade making their marriage secret? i just do not understand.
the only thing that i like about this book is how the author potray kylie as a curvy big body woman. not like a super hot model body.
but the story is just need to be edited better. a lot of lose ends...
agh! frustrated with this book. i dive into this book with a big expectation since cade is a knight in shinning armour. but it turns out cade is a coward. he can not even provide for his wife. he is a billionaire.
Should it be ONE billionaire... Let him be Cade. OMG.No words. SO SO SO GOOD. SO SO SO DIRTY. SO SO SO SWEET. Love this series so much! And here I thought I was done with billionaires tropes! Ah!
2 stars are only because I usually love this author. I really liked the beginning of this series, but it got weaker over the last 3 books. Culminating in this steaming pile of dog shit.
I mean seriously, this book SUCKED!!!!!!
Rather than using TSTL to describe the annoying as fuck heroine, Kylie, I am using TATL (too annoying to live). The only thing that kept me from hating her was that Daphne was so despicable and horrid that she took up the majority of my hate. I cannot properly rant without spoilers so I am going to tag the remainder of my review.
A great conclusion to this series! I've been looking forward to this book for a long time, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I read it in one day!
Cade, the optimistic do-gooder, surprised me in the most pleasant way with his dirty mouth!
Kylie, a plus size heroine (even though that was mentioned one too many times for my liking) was a breath of fresh air with her personality. She had some self-esteem issues, but nothing where she was constantly down on herself. She was kind, funny, sexy and not afraid to just go with it.
Not gonna lie....Daphne put a big, black cloud over this book. Too much enabling from others, too much of her feeding off people pitying her and too much of her just being a downright selfish bitch.
I'm glad that the plot didn't revolve around Cade pining for Daphne for most of the book. I was really afraid of that. His feelings for Daphne were resolved quickly and believably.
There was a trope used here that had me rolling my eyes a bit, but with how adorable and sexy Cade and Kylie were...I couldn't find it in me to be as annoyed as I could have been.
I'm sad to see this series end, but I'm excited to continue on with Jessica Clare's other billionaires series.
Kylie’s in dire straits (nope, not the band. And yes, I just showed my age) She’s taking a position as makeup artist to Daphne Petty, a truly horrible person who happens to be a singer. She meets Cade Archer, who has been pining for Daphne, or the woman she used to be, forever. Cade wakes up and realizes that Daphne’s not the woman he wants, and during this epiphany, has a one night stand with Kylie. Of course, it’s never easy, the path to true love. But romance does happen.
The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between
-Enjoyed Ms. Clare’s writing, as usual: I’ve been a fan of Ms. Clare’s writing (her hitman series with Jen Frederick being one of my faves) and I’d never read her billionaire series. It’s lighter in tone, and certainly a fantasy of these billionaires who fall in love like dominoes, but I’m all for that fantasy.
-Cade’s sweet, and a bit of a passive hero: Cade seemed like a nice guy who just spent too much time (which happens before this book, it seems) pining over the idea of Daphne (more on my loathing of her later). I was concerned about his feelings for Daphne, but he has several good scenes where he lays out how he’s all about Kylie, which went a long way towards my enjoyment of this romance. Now Kylie, on the other hand….
-Kylie’s super insecure: Kylie is a heroine that I could understand...to an extent. I understood her insecurities, and her horrible grandmother shaping her self-worth and what she did to protect her emotions. I just couldn’t quite find any sympathy when she continually lied and hid her feelings, and pretended to ignore Cade to pacify Daphne. This is my preference, but seeing a heroine, terrified of being a burden, but comes off as a damsel in distress for most of the story, doesn’t appeal to me. Understood it, just couldn’t sympathize enough to look past it.
-Standalone, even if it’s the final book in series: This is the first book in the Billionaire series I’ve ever read, so I wasn’t familiar with the club or the earlier couples. Not necessary because I think Ms. Clare gives enough information to flesh out the story. And frankly, if I’d read about Daphne before this, I’m not sure how I’d feel about it, because damn….
-Holy fudgenuts did I loathe Daphne: But most of all, I loathed that everything that happened was based on her whims and keeping her happy. She’s the impetus for them meeting, she’s the reason they can’t be together, she’s the cause of their ultimate breakup, she’s so far into this that it affected my enjoyment. I felt that Kylie came off pretty weak, her constant fear was just a turnoff for me.
Seriously, I wanted to smack Kylie, and Cade to a slightly lesser extent, for allowing her to have that kind of power over their relationship. Even at the end, it was about Daphne getting clean and how understanding Kylie is. I’m not that generous. I just wanted them to stand up for themselves. Even now, I think Kylie’s insecurities certainly deserved a certain amount of therapy because I wasn’t sure if she loved herself enough to love someone else.
The Bottom Line I liked it. I probably would have loved it if both Cade and Kylie had been a little less passive, and a little more proactive in their own romance.
"One Night with a Billionaire" is the story of Kylie and Cade.
Oh my! Cade Archer, you are a book husband to die for!!
So if you've read the previous books in this series, you would know what a great man Cade has been so far. He has always been in love with Daphne, who in turn has forever preferred drugs and fame over her family and friends. Finally, we find an amazing woman worthy of his love!
Our heroine is Kylie Daniels- the curvy, strong makeup artist who ends up working for the (in)famous popstar Daphne. Fully committed to her work in order to pay her bills and take care of a ungrateful nana, she never wants to be obligated to anyone, ever again- after a bad experience with a shitty ex and family. She then meets Cade, the famous, philanthropic billionaire. On their first meeting, she is as smitten by him, as he is of Daphne. But when Daphne's drugged reality hits him finally, it is Kylie that ends up consoling him, and they have hot, HOT sex. When Kylie tries to break it off the next day, Cade is not having it. After all, he has just met the woman made for him, and he will not let her go- despite Daphne's familial possessiveness. They initially start by hiding their relationship from everyone. But after a drunken night of passion leads to a Vegas wedding, will they stay committed, or break it off?
Honestly, Cade was a SWEETHEART. Kind, caring, loving- he pined for Daphne until he realized she was a lost cause. When he fell for Kylie, he was fully committed to her, and never, for once, thought of Daphne. He went to lengths to prove his love for her, sending her flirty texts, gifts, and also super hot banging, and always stayed loyal to her. He was also a wonderful friend to Daphne, and everyone around him. The heroine Kylie was sassy, independent and oh so sexy. I loved her fierce spirit! Their chemistry was SUPER hot, and we have resolution of all the plots, with a possible redemption for Daphne. She definitely was unlikable and needed the reality check.
Cosmetologist Kylie, takes a job as makeup artist for a famous pop star Daphne, and begins touring with her. Cade, handsome billionaire, has been pining for said pop star, oh and let's not forget total train wreck Daphne, for years....until he meets Kylie. After Cade sees Daphne, he is not impressed with the wreck she's become, not to mention her empty promises to him, and abruptly leaves with Kylie following. Soon, Cade can't seem to keep his mind off Kylie and he isn't about to let her go. Just when Kylie and Cade seem to be getting closer, Daphne sets her sights on Cade and won't give up without a fight. Kylie has other intentions as she does everything she can to avoid him. Then one night in Vegas changes everything. This story kept me on my toes. It went in directions I never expected. Definitely kept my attention ! Very original storyline ! LOTS AND LOTS OF HOT, STEAMY SEX SCENES !! If you love HOT BILLIONAIRES and SEXY, CURVY WOMEN, you need this book ! THIS is BOOK #6 in the SERIES, hurry and get caught up if you haven't already. SO WORTH IT ! IT'S AWESOME ! CADE IS MY NEW BOOK BOYFRIEND !
Ben neden böyleyim, konuyu neden okumadım?Yine. Manyaklar!!! Daphne'ye destek olup iyileşmesi niçin yardım edeceklerine, hoş görüp birde zehir sunuyorlar. 🙄🤦Neyse ...
Star Ratings: Heroine (Kylie): late 20s? Hero (Cade): 30yrs old Plot: 2/5 Grovel: none Cheating: none HEA: yes but no babies Triggers: OW drama

Personal Review: This was a disappointing end to this series. The H kept droning on about the other woman and the h kept bringing up her weight issues. This ‘romance’ was more about other people than it was about the main couple
Random Ramblings •So much talk about her weight already •I am prepared to hate Daphne – I will never like the selfish bitch •I know he thought he was in love with Daphne but the constant comparisons became annoying •Reese was right •Being a billionaire isn’t a job occupation •So much unneeded angst! •Texting naked pics will always end in disaster
Overall Feeling:
Three co-dependent people in a fucked up relationship
The hotness that is Kylie and Cade’s story is unchartable. They spark from first encounter. I love that Kylie is not pencil thin but isn’t to hung up on her appearance. She embraces her body and that make me love her even more. Cade is such an amazing blend of give and take. He gave and gave in his previous :”relationship” with getting nothing back. You would expect him to do all the taking with Kylie but he gives as good as gets in this story. I love how they only had “real” road blocks to overcome. Daphne did not disappoint in the story what so ever. She was insane, intense and everything a super star should be. You felt scared, unsure but captivated by what lies ahead for her as well.
The story was written so I was sitting on the sidelines cheering, applauding and squeezing my thighs together in this book.
Absolutely loved this book! I was so excited for Cade to find his own happiness and he found his perfect match! Kylie was awesome! Thank you for having a character who was a "real" woman and not a size zero! This is definitely my favorite in this series...even though I have loved them all!! ❤️ Cade + Kylie = Perfection!!
Kylie is fat, which would have been fine--great, even--except we were reminded she was fat on a constant basis, as if we might have forgotten in the last two pages. It grated. That plus her ridiculous hangup about being a burden made this book just ok.
Cade was ok, but nothing spectacular. I was hoping for more from the proclaimed "nice guy" of the group.
I'm so happy that this story did not disappoint because I was hooked from reading the synopsis. This is such a fun, relaxing and sexy read. This is exactly what I need as a pick-me-up after I have been brutalizing shattered from reading Torment: Part Two.
Kylie and Cade are both awesome as the main characters of this series. They're great individually and as a couple, they're simply the best.
Quattro rose e mezzo. Thank you Lord for making Cade realize, although it took long enough, that Daphne is beyond redemption at this point. Cade is by far the sweetest of the billionaires, there is no disputing that, but his insistence on only seeing the good in Daphne was starting to get aggravating. Thankfully all it took was Daphne being her usual selfish self and someone else being the kind person Cade really needs. Kylie, makeup artist to the stars was the right person at the right time.
The roller coaster ride of a relationship with these two was entertaining to watch. Cade was determined that their night together was not going to be a one night stand and Kylie was just as adamant that it would remain just one night… every single time they were together. My only concern which I’m surprised was not brought up by Kylie at any point was that she was a replacement for Daphne. She never worried or wondered if she could possible be a rebound for Cade.
Although more than once I did feel he should have just told Daphne the truth and stop treating her like a child that can’t handle the truth, I understood Kylie hesitating due to needing the money for her grandmother’s care. Kylie not wanting to rely on Cade’s money to take care of her expenses and debt just gave me something else to admire about her. I absolutely loved the characters and thought Kylie was perfect for Cade. I am so glad he finally got his Happily Ever After! This book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books. The name of the reviewer can be found under the post categories.
Cade is just a weak character. Sweet, but spineless.
To me, the fact that he has been pining away for Daphne for 10 years means he is a moron. Especially, since even when she’s sober, she’s not a nice person. I get that she is supposedly a different person than who Cade fell in love with, but we saw from Audrey’s stories in prior books, that even as a teen, Daphne had a terribly selfish personality.
The instalove in this one is too much for me. Cade could get anyone he wants. You’re telling me in 10 years, he hasn’t come across anyone who is decent looking and good for him? I don’t really get the attraction to Kiley. She doesn’t seem to even have a good personality. She’s not funny. She’s just sort of victim-like and boring.
When he tells her he’s a billionaire on like their first date, I choked; it was ridiculous timing and just dumb. Also, his reaction to getting drunk married in Vegas was completely unrealistic. Even if you are attracted to someone (WHOM YOU BARELY KNOW), getting married like that and not being worried about it just reinforces the dumbassery.
Sorry Cade. I like you, buddy, and I’m glad you finally found love, but you might be too dumb to have all that money. I guess you and no-personality Kiley fit well together. Is that too harsh?
I had been waiting for this to come out for 5 months and after reading this what I felt was WOW I loved this book! It was beyond my expectation! Before reading this, I felt a bit worried if there was an exasperating triangle love where the main character would be hard to choose one between two person he/she loves (and I dislike the themes!). But apparently, I felt relieved since it didn't happen in this book! Thank God! xoxo.
In the beginning, It started a bit slow for my taste (that's why I can't give it a 5 solid star) but on every page I turned, I began more and more intrigued! I LOVED the plot, the characters ( Ooh Cade Archer.. You're so gorgeous! I so much melted about how you treated Kylie! Sooo sweet! and sooo hawt as well! xD ), and the writings! I think this book is much better than the prior books in this series aaand this is unputdownable!
I know recently (for several months) my mood in reading books is going down. It frequently takes me several days just to finish 1 book! (that's so horrible!). But this book was an exception. It attacked my bad mood, aaand suffice it to say, I finished it in a day! That's a proof how unputdownable this book is!
Overall, if you're in the mood to read a light and sweet story, just give it a favor :)
