"The devil isn't here it's in your details."
Earth's survivors have evolved a society to survive the alien Invaders who arrived several hundred years before and frequently return in their ships. Fragments of the future can be seen by sacrificing children. Time becomes confused - as did this reader! But the writing is so good, with wonderful word play, the plot intriguing - tap,tap,tap - that, stick with it, and slowly a bizarre picture emerges, fast, furious struggles, possible pasts and futures - well, wow. Just read it, it's brilliant
