Tracey Pedersen is an Australian author who has finally accepted that she is meant to write, write, write! In 2016 she released her first romance novel and hasn't looked back. Now writing full time, and fighting the urge to write every second of the day, she loves travel, crocheting, replying to reader emails and spending WAY too much time on Facebook!
If you enjoy romance stories that mimic real life, with an extra twist thrown in, you'll love Tracey's books. A few laughs don't go astray either!
Tracey writes contemporary romance and romantic comedy although she likes to sneak a little suspense in there sometimes!
She lives in Melbourne, Australia, though the next travel adventure isn't too far away!
When I picked up Tap That!, I wasn't sure what to make of it. It's written by a male so I didn't know if it was too raunchy or flat-out sex with no plot. I'm thrilled to say that I loved it! It's a steamy romantic comedy with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments along with steamy yumminess. The plot itself was realistic set in a quaint small town. Highly recommend and I can't wait to read more of this series!
Oh what a delightful story... Mimi and Jasper had eyed each other since High School he a high school jock and her a studious nerd. It would take a fire at the community center that she worked and to finally bring the two of them together. would the now fireman Jasper finally get the nerve to ask her out and would she accept even though he had to bribe her and would anything come of their mutual attraction?
5 stars I purchased a copy of Tap That by Tracey Pedersen 10/23/2017 and this review was given freely.
This is a fast paced steamy novella that includes a cocky yet sensitive firefighter Jasper and his high school crush Mimi. The story flows easily and contains intrigue, a pact, a misunderstanding,an accident, lots of humor, some steamy encounters all culminating in a happy ending. An enjoyable story easily fit into a long lunch break.
I had a hard time being pulled into this story. Which is weird since there were a bunch of naked firemen posing for a calendar! Like come on, who can resist that!
The connection between the 2 characters were not very strong either. Mimi was really hard to connect to, and I never really warmed up to her.

I downloaded this book today, and after reading the blurb, I had to read it. It’s a cute story, with some steam, about a couple that have known each other for years. That have been in each other’s lives, but never attempted a relationship. Jasper is a local fireman, and he was one of the men present in helping put out a fire at a recreation center. The center is managed by a woman that he has desired, but never approached. Mimi, manages the recreation center, and is trying to find a way to finance the repair of the area that was burned. Unfortunately, it was burned down by one of the kids that attends the center. When Jasper and his crew, come to check the burnt area, he flirts with Mimi, and volunteers to pose for a firemen’s calendar, if Mimi will go on dates with him. The pictures are taken, and Mimi agrees to date Jasper, and these dates lead to a one night stand. Morning brings several misunderstandings between them, and they agree to just be friends. A dangerous incident, causes Mimi to be injured, and results in her arm in a cast. The attraction between Jasper and Mimi gets stronger, and it ends in an HEA. Tracey Pedersen is a new-to-me author, but I did enjoy this quick read.
Selling calendars with full frontal male nudity is questionable. Is it acceptable by the country's laws? Selling them to raise money for a community centre for children? It doesn't make sense. The film "Calendar Girls" was referenced, but the women didn't pose completely nude, they had various items in place to obscure breasts. Many of the men showed all. Seems questionable. The author "likes to write stories that mimic real life with a twist". Not just twisted, this story is bent into something that doesn't look like real life.
There were some very odd turns of phrase used in this. "Their tongues made magic together, twisting and tangling." "She moulded intimately to him, sliding and slipping, encouraging his engorgement." Engorgement?? Then they used the vulgar slang for her genitals and "he watched her swinging tits". " Bitumen " was used for the parking lot. Being a fireman he was trained in first aid and rescue. After a serious fall he turned her on her back while waiting for the paramedics. It doesn't seem like a good idea to move her until she's been seen by the paramedics.
The sex scenes were graphic so I skipped over them, in fact most of it was skimmed to finish. Glad it was short.
At just over 100 pages, this is a quick read. Arson brings together two people who knew (and ogled) each other in high school. He's a sexy firefighter, she (also sexy, and thin) volunteers at the youth center impacted by the fire. Money's too tight to fix the place, so they make a deal - he'll pose in a calendar showing off his fireman's hose (ahem) along with his coworkers, and she'll go on 5 dates with him. Sounds fair, right?
While it's a short novel, the flow seems too rushed and there are some questionable dramatic plot points that were unnecessarily added for the romance to flow. Not bad, but it could use some polishing to help the pacing and the too-rapid HEA resolution.
The characters were cute and charismatic and were just waiting for the future to bring them together. A sweet heartfelt story of two people whose destiny was waiting for them to meet after years of missed opportunities. A great story all should read.
This is the first of Men About Town series, it has a good storyline, the plot was was fast moving and the main charactes had a lot of back and fourth problems before they fell in love. It was an easy read.
A sweet, steamy romance that will have you laughing one minute and saying awhh the next. A feel good read. Looking forward to reading more from Tracey Pedersen.
This is a funny heart warming book. It makes everything seem possible. They figure out that they have had a crush on each other since high school. He really puts it out there to help her.
Jasper is soooo sneaky and hot! He basically bribes Mimi to go on dates with him! She's resistant at first but who can so no to a firefighter hunk?! It's a short and easy novel to get lost in. Back and forth banter between the two makes the romance even more adorable! However at one point I just wanted to smack them both so they would get their s**t together!
It is a short story but what bothered me is that in less than 10% the heroine had come to the idea of an auction and already got a kiss, and five dates with the hero. It was all too fast so I DNF@13 or sth %.
