Hate That I Need You

Rate this book
Doing what she wanted to do was something that Jadore never had a chance to experience. Doing what she had to do always took precedence when a series of unfortunate events forced her into a role that she had to play. Becoming the primary caregiver for her 3 siblings at a young age, Jadore struggled to make ends meet until Esko entered the picture. Never knowing what it was like to struggle, Esko stepped right in and gave Jadore and her family the life that they deserved to live. Jadore was appreciative of his help, but she soon learned that if something seemed too good to be true then it probably was. Wanting his help was one thing, but she hated to feel like she needed it. Mac is a young man with a good heart being raised by his equally bighearted single father. His girlfriend, Shanice, loves him unconditionally, but Mac is not ready for the kind of commitment that she's looking for. When an ill-chosen event causes him to cross paths with Jadore, both their lives seem to have a new purpose, if only temporarily. They become fast friends until a small misunderstanding threatens to permanently tear them apart. With their lives intertwining unexpectedly, can their friendship remain unscathed? When lies, secrets and hidden agendas are revealed, will they come out victorious or will they fall by the wayside? Take an emotional ride with Jadore and her crew in this full length standalone "Hate That I Need You".

Breath taking AMAZING!!! Chenell can do NO wrong in my eyes and she put her entire foot into this book. If I could give this book a million stars I would do just that. So much I would LOVEEEE to say, but I do not want to give anything away to those who have not read this. I applaud Jadore for doing what most siblings would not do. She chose to take care of such a big responsibly by doing whatever it takes. Ekso is just UGH! The man wanted his cake and eat it too, and I am so glad at the end he got exactly what he deserved! Mac has a spot in my heart and just so happy how his story turned out. Cubby had me rolling through this book. His bluntness is just a breath of fresh air. You always need that one to keep it real with you and he made sure to do it. Gabby is a woman that I dislike! I didn't feel the least bit sorry for her because she stayed with someone she knew was a dog. And to do Jadore like that.....I wanted to come through the book myself. If for some reason YOU HAVE NOT read this book, what in the world are you waiting for?? It is really that amazing!!!

Wow!

Chenell wrote the hell outta this book! Wow! Ok, I will admit, Jadore pissed me off in the beginning. I was like "just leave Esko, damn, " but I'm happy she found her strength. Cubby and Eboni was perfect together. Their sense of humor kept me laughing. That Gabby was a piece of work and Daniel shocked me the most. Of course Mac became bae, and I loved how he treated the kids. So, without giving the story away, I definitely recommend this 5 ★read to anyone who's ready to be floored! Oh, and did I mention it's a full length standalone!!! ❤❤

This book was so freaking good!!! I had a love/hate relationship for Jadore. I understood her decisions but didn’t agree with them but she was young and had to take care of her siblings. Mac was really bae! Esko was a loser preying on a young poor girl but in the end he got exactly what karma served him. Loved the author humor and her characters development and the jaw dropping connections that were revealed in this book. I definitely recommend this book

Soooooo.....an ok read overall!!!

Wow, what a story. Well the hero was perfect, handsome, and down right perfect while the heroine needed help big time. She was that bad
Macarius "Mac", was truly a gem. Last man standing, he was part being gentleman, millionaire, alpha streak and boss man. He truly was a catch, and Jadore grabbed that (well truly Mac went after her) but nevertheless, Jadore was Mac's world.
Jadore, man oh man oh man... Some women just annoys me. Jadore was so childish, so spoiled and so dependent; talking about how F fed up she was and that she didn't do anything about it. So many times I was just ready to give up on this book, specially after reading Esko's part with Jadore. It wasn't until the end, that I picked up from the book and enjoyed the last chapter. Jadore was the weakest woman/heroine, ever in a story.
Everyone deserved what they had coming to the,. Cubby and Ebony were so hilarious, and funny, and that's why I gave it a 2and a half.
This book should have been cancelled and not published at all...

Wild and thrilling

Another good book by this author. Jadore steps up and takes care of her siblings without question, doing anything necessary to survive. Esko takes advantage of her vulnerable state and makes her dependent on him, even though he's married with children. He thinks money and material things made her love him, but it's only one sided. While Esko loves Jadore, she's only appreciative and thankful for his help but grows tired of him always throwing it in her face. Her brother Jerome's ill decision leads to her finding real love with a real man in Mac. Granted, Mac has a situation to resolve, but things work out for the best. The connections and linkages between the characters were wild and the twists were thrilling. Esko learns the hard way that money can't control feelings, and it definitely doesn't buy love.

Good book!!

This book so very long , but it was a good book. Jadore was a very strong young lady. I admire her strength and decisions that she had to make in order to take care of her brother and sisters. Not many people nowadays will give up their childhood up to raise their siblings. I hated Esko in this book and his crazy wife, Gabby. Gabby should have been left her husband, but that was her fault. Esko was just crazy as hell with everything that he has done in the book. Mac was heaven sent for Jadore and the kids. Jadore and her friends were always supportive of whatever decisions that she had to make even if they were bad desicions. I'm glad everything worked out for everyone at the end of the book. I can't wait to read another book by this author.

Chenell I've been reading your work for a while. The growth I see in this book is excellent! I loved Jadore and the strength she has for raising her siblings. Esko was the worst and Rocco idk, I liked him then I didn't. Kendra was aggy af and switched up on Jadore in 2.5. I loved Eboni and Cubby! They were my favorites! They kept me laughing. I was soo happy for Ms Clarice and Mr Morris. Shanice's father got exactly what he deserved. Karley and Austin were the cutest I loved them together. Everybody got there karma whether it be good or bad. Great job with this standalone Chenell!

Amazing book couldn't put it down it was 💣

In this life there are always snakes slithering around the weak. Being weak is a state of mind women are like flowers without proper water and sunlight we don't blossom... but with tender love and care we are strong and beautiful...Jadore was a beautiful young woman with a bunch of snakes in her yard... but in the end Mac came and helped restore her petals and allowed her to blossom... a definite must read if I could give more than 5 stars I would🤗

Very good read

The reason for the 4star my biggest pet peeves is everyone sleeping with each other. Yuck!!! I have a big problem with swapping bodily fluids, the have to be my biggest turn off in a book & real life. I couldn't stand the mention of Esko he is the most disgusting man ever. I'm happy with his outcome. I really feel for Jadore what a life. I wish her mother had a better ending (who did it?) not quite satisfied with that her chapter. Other than that it was a good read.

I love this stand alone.
First of all I love Jadore. She is one of the best characters that I've ever read. She did what she had to do it make sure that her brother and sisters had. She bent but she never broke. That damn Esko was a damn dog from the beginning, I can't even call him a snake because that would be to nice.
But in the end love true love prevails.

This book will not disappoint all your emotions will come out.

Chenell you have done it again. This book had me so hooked that, I was done before I blinked. I don’t want to give much away but, Esko got what he deserved (I couldn’t stand him). How can one take advantage of another, especially the way Esko did. Jadore was a very strong individual that did what a lot of people wouldn’t think of. I am so happy that Jadore was able to get away and, have a happy ending.

Phenomenal Book

This book was a breathe of fresh air. Plus I needed a good standalone. I felt so bad for Jadore because she had to sacrifice for her siblings and have no regrets.! Esko played on her situation and it backfired he ended up catching feelings. However I was team Mac once he was introduced. Sorry about the journey Jadore had to go on, but I believe that it made her onto the person she was. She always had a good heart.

Enjoyable

I kind of didn't know where to go with this I like Jadore and Mac's story . I also like Cubby and Eboni story I thought they were funny. I just don't know how to feel about her being stuck with this man for so long but I'd like the book though. It's the kind of book that makes you think her situation was messed up, it's kind of what would you have done kind of thing and how long would you have done it I enjoyed the 📖 though.

She has done it again

Now I must say Chenell has the gift of pulling you into each character and marketing you apart of the actual story. I jump on everything she writes. I can't lie I want a story about Cubby and ebony omg they were so funny. I was so happy Mac and Jadore got there happy ending because Jadore did the right things with her siblings

Awesomesauce

I enjoyed the storyline for sure. It was once reading something that had a different background other then drugs and trap houses. I did feel the book was somewhat predictable, but it didn't take away from the character development as well as the story itself. I'm happy Jadore got her happily ever after and I have the upmost respect for her character 😜

Amazing!

I love Cubby and Eboni's relationship they are so funny. Esko was taught to be the dog that he was, but in the end he got what he deserved going overboard not having what he wanted. Daniel was a piece of work but he also got what he deserved too being a greedy man. Overall I love Mac and Jadore their relationship was awesome.

Wow great read

This was a great read. I don't condone Jadore for sleeping with a married man but I can see she did what she did for her siblings. I couldn't stand Rocco r Esko. Both of them got what they deserved. I loved Cubby and Eboni together, they were hilarious. I love one quote from the book where she said " EVEN A BROKEN CRAYON STILL COLORS".
