As someone who can suffer from anxiety or "get stuck in my head" I found this book overwhelming helpful. Not just in preparing for birth, but in understanding better the mind/body/reality relationship and in proving how meditations can help me to relax and change my perspective.
I originally found Graves on Instagram and a lot of her insights married up well to my beliefs so I decided to purchase this book and explore her hypnobirthing method further. I'm really glad I did. I always feel wonderful after listening to the recordings and think the breathing techniques are ones I will draw on during any times of pain or stress in the future.
I found the approaches shared in this book really empowering and inspiring. Finishing this book has left me feeling confident and ready to birth my baby.
A very interesting book. I read a hypnobirthing book with my first pregnancy and found that I didn’t agree with it all but liked the general concepts of peace, calm and positivity. My views on this book are similar - I don’t agree with everything the author says, and wouldn’t choose to follow the book 100%, but I hope it has given me more confidence for a positive and calm experience. Time will tell!
