Gerhard Seyfried is a German comic artist, cartoonist, and writer. One of the most popular German underground artists, he won the Max & Moritz Prize in 1990.
A beautifully rendered comic about an intimate relationship, the couple paddling in subcultural lite anti-globalist game and cartoon activism, the story accelerates into full-blown slipstream surrealism delivering a gentle but effective warning against realist cartoons and the negative energy that threatens to take over our lives. At least, that was my reading, translating it from German. The sparse text (about 500 words) helps yet the illustrations communicate even as they are clearly part of Operation Mindfuck and loaded with amazing surrealism. Very Jim Woodring at times. I can think of quite a few friends who would enjoy this as I did. Accomplished stuff.
