I was so excited to finally get to read Max's story and I was not disappointed. At the end of the previous book, we read that Max had left for a special mission. Well, now he's back, but things are not the same. His siblings notice that he's extra quiet, but they don't understand why.

Also in the previous book we got to meet Kelsey Malone who was hired by Cam to run his riding stables. Kelsey has her own level of baggage, but when she meets Max, she recognizes a kindred spirit. There's a connection there of shared experiences. However, that shared experience is exactly why she can't let herself get involved. But, what about if the restrictions are no longer an issue? What then? And, when her past catches up with her, will Max be there to protect her?

I honestly enjoyed this story and devoured it in a day. I liked the respect shown for the military and their families, and the struggles they go through. I also liked how the romance developed. Kelsey is a strong woman, and she was firm with her values. Yet, Max is no pushover himself. He was open and honest with Kelsey and they each knew exactly where they stood with each other.

All in all, a great read.

This series is set in Windswept Bay-beach area and introduces the 9 Sinclair siblings through out the series of books.

Brothers: Levi, Cam, Jake, Max, Trent
Sisters: Cali, Shar, Olivia, Jillian

Even though Max's brothers and sisters are finding love, Max is content with his special ops missions and returning home to his pet pig Charlotte. However when Max gets severely injured and has to return home indefinitely, he struggles with what to do with his life and how to help others. He meets Kelsey, the new manager at his brothers new horse stable and is drawn to her but she is very adamant that she doesn't date military men. They are both scared of the future but can't deny their growing attraction towards one another.

I loved reading more about the horse stable that was introduced in the previous book and the upcoming wedding. I love how close the family and siblings are to each other and how they help each other thru emotional trials.

I'm looking forward to reading more of Max and Kelsey's story as this series progresses. Book #9 is suppose to be released in August.

This story is part of Ms Clopton’s enchanting series, Windswept Bay. Stories about a Sinclair siblings, their romantic relations, and the trials and tribulations of life.
This one does not disappoint. Our main characters are Max, a dedicated Special Ops soldier that keeps secrets and has lost friends in war. He’s come home after an injury, which his family knows nothing of . The other main character is horse trainer, Kelsey. Now working at his brother’s ranch as manager and instructor. She has her own reason for not dating a soldier, but the two definite have chemistry.
We will revisit characters from previous stories, and let’s not forget Charlotte. Max’s pet pig.
Revelations are made , threats are made , and in the end love prevails.
Aside from a well develop short novel, the author reminds us of the sacrifices made by the men and women who serve our country. A group of dedicated individuals that need to be honored and thanked.
My only complaint is that I would have wanted more at the end of the story , but that is a minor one.

With This Pledge was such a wonderful story! I have enjoyed every book from the Windswept Bay series, and this is one of my favorites. Even if you haven’t read the other books, With This Pledge seems to stand on its own rather nicely. There are repeat characters from the other books, but the main storyline between Max and Kelsey is strong on its own.

I really liked the main characters. I loved the way they connected with each other and how in tune with each other they seemed to be. Even as Kelsey fought her attraction for Max, there was this bond between the two of them that kept me eagerly reading. I am looking forward to reading more books in the series. This one did end a bit abrubtly for me. But it will be fun to see more of Max and Kelsey in future stories.

With every book in this series Debra continues to blow me away! I love the Sinclair family and Windswept Bay. This book centers on Sinclair brother Max. Returning to Windswept Bay after his latest Special Ops mission, Max is hiding secrets and his heart. Horse trainer Kelsey is now in Windswept Bay working for Cam Sinclair. When she moved to take this job she brought her own secrets. Despite the chemistry between them, neither is willing to open their hearts or share their secrets. Overall, my heart broke for these characters' struggles to come to terms with where their lives are now and by the end I was deeply invested in them. This series just seems to get better with each new book. It is fun to revisit the characters from previous books and see how important family is to the Sinclairs! I HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone who is looking for clean, sweet romance books!

One pig guard, one broken marine, and one disillusioned women make this story so much fun.
Max Sinclair has been handed the worst news of his career. Hurt and feeling guilty, he is home to recover. As usual he does not tell his family he is in pain. Charlotte, his guard pig, knows. She lives him anyway.
Kelsey is trying to get over her ex-Boss obsession if her and the damage he has caused to her career. She was thrilled that her new boss jus understanding and not around to cause issues.
Putting these two together bring out the lonely hearts and makes them realize they are perfect for each other.
Charlotte has two to guard which makes her very happy. I just wish it was longer and hadn't ended so abruptly.

This was a well-written, sweet romance. Kelsey left a bad situation with her ex-boss and found a job running seaside stables in Windswept Bay. Max was injured in a special ops mission and may not be able to return to his career. They meet at Kelsey's new boss's engagement party and are attracted to each other, but Kelsey doesn't date military men after her father lost his life in service of his country. The development of their story was charming and touching. This book can be read as a standalone, though it is part of a series with related characters set in a location called, "Windswept Bay." I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in this series as well as other books by this author.

Not enough closure - spoiler alert

This one was good just like all the others, but the ending was too abrupt. Spoiler alert - the bad guy gets taken down by the pig, which was expected. But what happened after that? I'd have loved too see the author take this ending (as well as a couple other book's endings) a little further.

Bring Levi out - throw that guys butt in jail and let us have a wedding ceremony sealed with a kiss of a future of tomorrows.

Not long after Kelsey and Max meet, he gets some devastating news. Kelsey has always said she’d never date a military man and couldn’t understand how her mom supported her dad so much. After a particular kiss from Max, she totally gets it. Things aren’t smooth sailing, especially when Kelsey’s ex-boss renters the picture. No spoilers, so grab your copy and fall in love with another Sinclair brother.

I enjoyed this book very much as I have most of the books I have read from this Author. The only complaint I have is that it was too short. I think the ending was good but a little bit abrupt. It was a very nice read. It had no profanity and no sexually explicit dialogue. It was just going storytelling. I thought the characters were very well developed. The main characters are Kelsey and Max. Max is part of the Sinclair family. I have grown to love that family as I have read each volume in the series. One of my favorite characters in this story is Max’s pig Charlotte. She is “some pig.” I enjoyed the pace of the story.

Really enjoying this series. Kelsey and Max who we both met in previous books are definitely attracted to each other!!! Can Kelsey keep her promise to not date military men? Can Max share his past? This is such a sweet, romantic, and clean book. Their is instant attraction but a slow build to their relationship. Looking forward to the next book.

With This Pledge is book eight in Windswept Bay series. I absolutely love this series , and can’t wait for the next book. The Sinclair men are awesome. Clopton draws you in right at the start and you are hooked. This is Max Sinclair’s story. Max has been with the OPS Missions and now he is home, but something has happened and he may lose his career. Kelsey Malone is running Cam Sinclair’s stables for him . She loves horses and is good with them. She has vowed to never date a Military man . She does not want her heart to get broken . Max and Kelsey meet and sparks begin to fly, but she does not date a Military man. What will Max do? This was another page turner and I could not read fast enough to turn the pages faster to see what has going to happen next. I really enjoyed Max’s story.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book , but was not told that I had too give a positive review.
