Crystal Kaswell is the author of the Sinful Serenade series. She writes steamy new adult romance with flawed characters. She loves police procedurals, tea, and The Hunger Games series. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband.
I really enjoyed this book and I loved Miles and Meg.
There is so much emotion throughout this book: love, lust, heartbreak, etc, but it was beautiful to watch it unfold. If I'm being honest, I did love Miles, but he was leading Meg on for majority of the book and Meg called him out on it. The fact that Meg wouldn't let Miles devalue her or their "relationship" is what really made me like this book. Meg was in love with Miles, but she didn't hesitate to put Miles in his place and, boy, do I love good grovel and/or huge loving gesture.
I didn't want it to end! I was so sad when I saw the epilogue, but I was not disappointed.
I look forward to reading the other bandmates' stories, Drew (and hopefully Kara), Tom the buttmole and Pete, the loyal boyfriend.
Strum Your Heart Out - 2.75 stars
POSSIBLE SPOILERS:
I was really interested in Drew and Kara's story since we met them in Sing Your Heart Out, but this book fell so flat for me and to be honest gave me a headache.
This is a friends to lovers story.
For approximately the first 35% of the book, they still act like they don't like each other yet they are eye-banging every chance they get. Now they have serious secrets that they won't reveal to each other yet they try to force each other to reveal them. Once they finally get together, it gets weird and so confusing; Drew keeps saying how he ruins women and doesn't know how to do a relationship and Kara just goes along with it until, she basically snaps and can't handle it.
Drew hides their "relationship" from their friends, even though everyone already knows, but he continues to hide Kara and acts like a jealous caveman. After they get together it's basically sex every other paragraph and it was really annoying because they act sexed deprived, like they have nothing else to do but each other and when they aren't together they are thinking about sex with each other and if someone brings up Drew's name around Kara, all she can think about is sex.
I just expected more from two people who are supposedly best friends and know everything about each other, but apparently only reconnected recently after not talking for years.
The Kara and her mother situation looked like it was going to be intense, nothing happened; it was tied up in a nice bow not to be bothered with.
Unfortunately, this book was just not that intriguing for me and I couldn't wait for it to end because the repetitiveness was driving me crazy. Drew's tortured soul over Vivian (which really didn't sound like a huge deal, I was more focused on the situation with his sister), Kara's need to constantly be boned by Drew, but gets butt hurt when he won't label their relationship.
Does Kara ever see a therapist to help with overcoming the shame she feels about her scars?
One thing that shocked me, I actually like Tom in this book and I look forward to his book.
Rock Your Heart Out - 4 stars
This is Tom's story and I couldn't wait to see how it would unfold.
The glorious manwhore finds his match in Drew's baby sister, Willow. I enjoyed the entire book and I have to say I was surprised how it progressed since Tom was out of commission because of his new piercings. In Strum Your Heart, there was sex scene everywhere you looked, so I expected even worst in Tom's book, but that was not what happened here; Tom and Willow had slow burn romance and I loved it all. Their first introduction was hilarious and so very Tom, I just knew their journey was going to fun and a bit rocky.
The only issue I had was with Willow and her awful timing in making Tom declare his feelings especially since Tom and Pete just went through a major scare with their mother. I don't think anyone would be in the right state of mind to declare their intentions when they thought they were about to lose someone they love dearly.
Also I thought the Bradley story line was going to be a focus point in story, but he is mentioned once and never seen again; which is odd considering the reason for Willow’s appearance is because he tried to re-insert himself into her life. Not sure what happened but I expected something to happen at any time in the book, but nothing occurred.
I felt so bad for Pete, but I look forward to his book.
Play Your Heart Out - 4 stars
POSSIBLE SPOILERS:
Oh Pete :)
This is fake to real romance.
I was wondering what would happen to our dear Pete after the events in Rock Your Heart Out, and it pretty much went the way I expected. Jess and Pete's meet cute wasn't exactly cute but more similar to Meg and Miles's first encounter except it was more public. However, it seems the minute Pete sets eyes on Jess, his need to be around her was instant which was very sweet.
I will say this book follows the same theme that all the books in this series seems to follow: guy not ready for relationship, girls says she isn't either, guy acts all boyfriend, feelings develop, boy reminds girl he can't do relationships and etc. I was hoping this book would be different; I'm not saying I didn't enjoy this book because Pete and Jess are actually one of my favorite couples, but I was hoping for a different story line.
One of our couples gets married in this book and it was cute, but also brought on some problems for main couple Jess and Pete. Jess tried to keep it to their terms, but Pete just didn't follow his own warnings and I do say he led her (or at minimum crossed the line multiple times). Jess wasn't going to let his double standard slide and handled her business.
The Madison and Jess situation, not a fan of her sister, Madison, and the way she betrayed her sister and I really wish Jess would have told her off before trying to repair their relationship. Madison did Jess so dirty and it took a while and a certain event to finally reach out to her sister. I did like how Pete handled Madison, it was definitely interesting to read.
I was disappointed how Nathan had caused some problems, but there was no retribution or mention of him getting in trouble for what he did. If I'm not mistaken what he did is illegal, but we never seen if there are consequences (I really wished someone had kicked his butt).
I also enjoyed the short story of Tom and Willow's wedding which was in the POV of Tom entirely, he was cute :)

I absolutely love this series about these super hot, super sweet rockers!! Having them put together in one box set is perfection!
Sing Your Heart Out
Loved! This is a story with characters in pain. They are each scarred from something in their past and they find a connection in each other. Meg is a smart girl, working towards med school. I like her strength and passion. When she meets Miles something sparks between them. He's a cocky rockstar that uses his music to get through his pain. They are stubborn, they push each other to stay within these lines they set. I really enjoyed their story! Lots of heat and great characters!
Strum Your Heart Out
I am absolutely loving Drew! He is strong, loyal, passionate and full of heart. Kara has had such strong feelings for her best friend but she fears taking that next step will reveal secrets she has tried hard to keep. I love their journey, the closeness and fun that they share. Such a great read!
Rock Your Heart Out
Wow!! Tom and Willow are amazing! I love the slow burn, the friendship that builds between them. Willow sharing the pain from her past is touching. Tom has always been a bad boy and seeing another side to him really helps you fall for him! Great read with wonderful characters!
Play Your Heart Out
I loved Pete and Jess! Jess is new to LA, working as much as she can before law school starts and getting as far from her ex as she can. She is such a strong character, dealing with the hurt from those that were so close to her. I have really liked Pete in the previous books and have been waiting on his story, which does not disappoint! After the betrayal he felt he has not wanted to connect with anyone. There is a connection between the two as soon as they meet and their journey is full of ups and downs, emotions, heat and fun with the other guys from the band! This is a must read!! I cannot wait to dig in to future stories with the new guys!
Rock Me In Paradise
Perfect!! Getting to enjoy the day up to Tom and Willow's wedding from Tom's view point was absolutely amazing! The nerves, the true and honest love.... I just loved it! I am glad we were able to be a part of their wonderful day!
I received this boxset for Free to Give My TRUE & HONEST REVIEW
What I'm able to say about these 4 gorgeous sex gods from the Band Sinful Serenade & oh check they are sinful indeed starting off the husky come hither voice of lead vocalist & Manwhore Miles Webb and the extremely shy & virginal Student Doctor Meg Smart, whose first impression isn't one to start off a relationship, well you wouldn't of thought so but these 2 absolute comp!ete opposite no love/relationship commitments. So see how this beautiful & very emotional depth of new connection becomes together. Then we meet Meg's best mate Kara Kendrick who's school friend & the one man who she has hidden her TRUE feelings about, Guatarist Drew Denton. And we see how their past history & secrets come to light & join these 2 deeper together. Next up is drummer Hotheaded Tom Steele, who gets caught with all on show literally by base guitarist Drew's younger sister Willow Denton. This is the episode I thought was the most emotional & protectiveness of the 4 as straight off he takes her under his wing & not just looks after her but tried to respect his best friend & band mate's NOT to think about touching her, leave alone anything else. Finally here we meet Bassist Pete & law student come cocktail waitress (to pay for her student fees) & he make a deal that after scr*wing around to get over a broken heart & he needs to clean up his act. After this meeting he convinces her no holds bar to pretend that they are saying for everyone to see & he'll pay her student fees. Who could refuse that as it's n as if he's not good looking.Dolores
All I can I say about this boxset is that each & every single character have such personalities even if their suave, hotheaded, shy or all full of confidence. But each & every one of these books are unique stories in themselve. GREAT
Sing Your Heart Out Miles and Meg come to an agreement of friends with benefits with Miles stating that he doesn't ever fall in love. They both went thru separate tragedies that nearly wreak them to pieces that, but when they let their hearts take over they begin to heal and come out stronger together.
Strum Your Heart Out Kara and Drew went to high school together and were friends but never dated each other. Years have passed and Drew tracks down Kara and finds that he still has feelings for her but he closed his heart for good after a failed relationship. Kara had issues growing up that lead her to self harming and now she is ashamed of those scars and Drew breaks down her walls and lives for for the beautiful girl she is. Favorite quote: Drew to Kara ~ "There are no ugly parts of you. Every part of you is beautiful."
Rock Your Heart Out Tom is by far my favorite. Tom had a rough childhood and does not let anyone inside his heart until Willow barges into his hotel room. Their story is truly beautiful and keeps you captivated from the first word till the last.
Favorite quote: Tom to Willow ~ "You make me happy. In a way nothing ever has."
Play Your Heart Out This one did not disappoint. Jess & Pete's story is by far my favorite of the series. From the first page to the last I was pulling for them. For Pete to find that one person who he can be himself and not just another rock star is awesome. Pete & Jess's relationship started as a cover where it would look like Pete choose the girl next door where the fans would love him more. Little did he know that Jess loved him for who he is and not what he does for a living. My favorite part of the book is when Pete shows up at Jess's dads house to fight for her.
Rock Me in Paradise Willow and Tom are my favorite couple. I love reading Tom's view of his and Willow's wedding.
Rock Me All Night - This book was hot! I loved the way in which Willow and Tom and were able to become friends. This allowed them to build the beautiful relationship that blossomed between them. The sex was hot, monogamous, and adventurous. The relationship was one of friendship, trust, support and respect. They helped each other fight some demons from their past. (I worried the entire time that Bradley was going to make an unwelcome appearance.) And, I loved Ophelia. She is one tough mom and hilarious!
Play your Heart Out finally gives us the story of the last standing Sinful Serenade member, Pete. And boy does he fall hard and fast for Jess, although, like his fellow band members, he also tries to fight it. Jess of course is fighting her own demons while figuring out how to pay for law school. Pete's offer to help Jess in exchange for friendship/companionship could kill two birds with one stone, but it leads them down a path neither are expecting. Pete and Jess combust when they are together; and, like the others in this series, the sex scenes are so hot they will melt your e-reader!
Rock Me in Paradise is a quick, easy, hot read. We get to see Tom in a way we never have; and witness he and Willow's nuptials in Hawaii.
This is an addictive collection that is definitely a must read!
I mean... Did I read all four books and finish them? Yes. Did I roll my eyes many times reading through them? Also yes. Certainly not food for thought kind of books but I was entertained. The sexy bits were sexy (although occasionally borderline hilarious), the smuty bits were smuty and the plots were generic but readable. Maybe read separately and not right after the other would've earned a better review but as it stands, the general relationship guidelines were exactly the same.
**Spoiler?** IE band member 1234 having issues committing. Enter a "pseudo" relationship with respective girl 1234 - and having major difficulty with that "L" word even after both parties agree to the "pseudo" part that attraction tho -stronger than the force. Girl 1234 realizes and accepts that she is in the L with band member 1234, and band member gets a major stick up his bum about it until finally he commits by doing act 1234 that holds special significance to girl 1234. End scene.
**end**
Read if you want some almost thoughtless sexy bits. With enough dramabomb plot and angst to satisfy your inner teenager.
I Voluntarily Reviewed an Avanced Reader Copy of this book!
This was a beaitiful series! I already read all of them but I have to say that Kara & Drews story is my favorite. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite genres. These couples have trying times but they make it through everything because of love and loyalty. I totally loved Miles & Meg because she was so independent and yet Miles has a way to insist taking care of her. Pete & Jess are absolutely perfect for each other. Pete was the shy guy who finally got his happy ending after heartbreak. Tom & Willow, just wow! I almost thought Drew was going to have a stroke. Lol! Everypne was perfect and Crystal knows how tp reach her readers so much it leaves a lasting impression!
I absolutely loved these stories! Full of steamy rock star romance- Dirty talking alpha males with a heart. Copious amounts a fan your face scenes, the women who bring them to their knees all wrapped up in great detailed storylines with excellent HEA's! I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book 5 ++ Stars from me!
Crystal Kaswell changed my life! Hers were the first rock star romances I read, and I have been hooked ever since. I love the Sinful Serenade series so much, I have all the books individually AND I bought the boxed set for the extra content.
Her heroes are to die for. Miles, Drew, Tom and Pete are all heroes I'd love to meet in real life. And Meg, Kara, Willow and Jess are heroines I could totally identify with. The books are fun, sexy, touching, and I love them all.
I will read ANYTHING Crystal Kaswell writes, and you should, too!

This compilation of stories are about the Sinful Serenade band members. It's a fantastic series of rockstar romance books - hot, hunky rockers who find love. I have each of the books in the series, and they're awesome books! Get in on the Sinful Serenade family and meet them all here. You won't be disappointed! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of the set but own the books.
Wow! I've not been able to put this book down! I've spent the weekend totally engrossed in the lives of Sinful Serenade! Both down to earth and that hint of something more pulling me deeper into their lives. The lives of the characters and their interactions both sexually and with the rest of the band! Totally speechless at how good this book is 😊
Loved this series. Having them all in one book made the experience much better. Going through the ups and downs of these couples made me root for their happy endings. Loved that Ms. Kaswell kept the girls independent, with their own profession, or education going.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book.
I loved this series. The characters were amazing and kept you riveted to the page never wanting to put the book down and ready to start the next story before you barely finish the one before. A complete must read.
This was the second time I've read miles story but I got to read all the boys stories this time round. Loved it couldn't put the books down . Thrive between the guys, being stubborn, blind to love you will love the guys too

Each book in the Sinful Serenade collection follows each band member Miles, Drew, Tom and Pete. Each member have their own original story. In each book we get a check in with past cuoples. Awesome set of stories! Must Read!
Loved all the guys of Sinful Serenade and the awesome ladies they love! Great storylines, characters, scenery and dialogue. So glad I found these books!
You will swoon, lose sleep, and furiously flip pages as you indulge in this collection of heart stopping sexy rock stars. You won’t be able to pick a favorite because you will fall in love with all of them. Better grab a drink and settle in, because you won’t want to move once you get started reading.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily wrote an honest review. SING YOUR HEART OUT I really loved this story. It has an amazing story line and the story flows really well! The character development is amazing, and not just the development of the lead characters. I feel like I can connect with almost all the characters in the book, but especially with Miles and Meg. When I think of them, it's like thinking of long time friends! The story is filled with drama, suspense, romance, sorrow, anger, angst and love. It is most definitely full of passion! Lots of sexy time that really steams up the screen of your kindle but there is so much more. The H and h in the story have encountered so much hurt and loss and both have gone about healing from that the worse ways possible. The kind of hurt and loss they have experienced, you just can't run from. But it is also something that they have to learn on their own and that takes time. Only thing about this book that I can think of that I wish was different is, I wish it wasn't over! I definitely look forward to the next book in this series, even though it is Drew and Kara's story. I'm sure since Kara and Meg are BFF's we will get to hear more on Mile's and Meg also. But just from what I've read in this book about Drew and Kara, I most definitely can see another 5 star book coming from Ms. Kaswell. Great job and I can't wait for the next book! STRUM YOUR HEART OUT I so enjoyed the first book in this series so I was pretty sure that I would enjoy book 2 but expected the story line to be pretty much the same as book 1. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that book 2 definitely has it's own story line that veered off from the main plot! Also, Ms. Kaswell was able to add even more in the development of the already existing characters! We definitely learned a whole lot more about thew H and h of book 2 but she was also able to build more on the already existing characters that we got to know in book 1. All of this and none of it felt repetitive, which can happen in a series. But none of that is going on in this series so far. I certainly am looking forward to reading ROCK YOUR HEART OUT, which is going to be Tom's story! Amazing job Ms. Kaswell, keep them coming! ROCK YOUR HEART OUT I have been waiting for Tom's story ever since I started reading this series by Crystal Kaswell. I have been trying to think about how his story was going to take shape after reading about him as a secondary character throughout books 1 and 2, and I couldn't have come up with a better storyline! Ms. Kaswell did an amazing job! The storyline is amazing, well told and flowed beautifully and as always the characters are all extremely well developed. I don't think she could have picked a better love interest for Tom than Willow. They were definitely meant to be together. It just took her talent and story building expertise to get them from point A to point Z, and she did it in a way that had me glued to the book! And with everything that took place throughout Tom and Willow's story, she still took the time to draw me in and make me anxious for Pete's story! It can't come soon enough for me! A job very well done Crystal! PLAY YOUR HEAT OUT This is the fourth book in this amazing series! This is the story is of Pete who plays bass in the Sinful Serenade band. I was worried that by book 4 there wouldn't be to much left for Ms. Kaswell to write that wouldn't be a repeat of the first books, but boy was I mistaken! Let's just say that Pete is a bit of a well known manwhore and is known by MANY for having "magical fingers!" And what starts out as sort of a "relationship of convenience", ends up with the girl, Jess, falling in love with Pete and Pete has said from the start that what they have will never turn into a true relationship. But I have to tell you, if you like a book that will hold your interest from cover to cover, makes you feel the love, the happiness and also the sadness and the hurt and anger that the story-line takes us, then this is a book you need to read. But I really recommend that you start with the first book of the series. If you read this book first I really think you will be disappointed that you don't start from the beginning which is Miles'story! But no matter where you start be prepared for a hot, sexy, steamy panty-drenching read! These boys from Sinful Serenade are manwhores and they know how to please their women!
I absolutely LOVE this series! It's a definite must read for all rock start romance lovers, and even those who aren't yet will be by the end of this series. Each character and story is amazing, their back stories are all different, but when they meet their matches, they all fall hard. They're all very protective of their families, and each other. It's quite enduring to see them all as they finally get where they should be. The final book in this collection is an addition that I loved reading, it's really ties it all together more. Thank you for an amazing series that I've read multiple times and look forward to more in the future. I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this set. I know this is a long review, but I just HAD to touch base on each book, it's too good not to. Sing your heart out At the heart of anyone, you never know what someone is going through. Meg and Miles both have a lot of work to do to learn to trust again. What starts off as a friends with benefits, turns into a benefits only relationship which actually hurts them both. Meg finds out he held back some information that he knows is something that she would hate. Even with all that has happened, he finally realizes that he truly loves her and will do anything to keep her. I'm looking forward to reading Miles' version and then Drew and Kara's story nex Strum your heart out Drew and Kara have been best friends for years with the exception of a short time when things were rough in their own personal lives. Kara's father dies from cancer and it puts a lot of pressure on her to help her mom keep going, but it's too much pressure and she starts cutting. With a lot of laughter and tears, they finally realize they are meant to be and quit fighting. Willow gets her own photography studio she's been dreaming about and Tom get the love he's yearned for. Not knowing her life is about to change. Jess is a law student that works as a waitress and has been through the wringer. When the skank she catches Pete in the bathroom with breaks her glasses, she takes him up on fixinung them for her even though she gives him attitude about not asking first. Her ex cheated on her with her sister and left a bad taste in her mouth when it comes to men. She misses her sister something fierce, and immediately recognized Pete thanks to her sisters posters in her room. Pete decides he wants to cause a little jealousy with her sister and the ex and makes a play to get her to pretend to be his girlfriend and help his image and get back at them for her. Neither of them expect to fall for one another. They have love of books in common and Jess admits that she has a love of all things Hunger Games. As a matter of fact, the only tattoo she's ever considered is one that would match the love of her life's. One would read "real or not" and the other would read "real" after the part where Peeta asks Katniss if things were real or not in the Mockingjay book. He keeps getting closer to her and tells her she needs to quit bottling everything up. He has his music as a way to vent, but she doesn't have anything. He teaches her how to play a couple songs and she realizes she's falling more and more in love with him. The manager that was blackmailing Pete, decides that since he "owns everything that the band owns", he owns her too. Not realizing that she's not an actress or a prostitute. This starts a downward spiral with Pete and he settles the blackmailing and tells her he only needs her until his brothers wedding and then she's free to go without acting like his girlfriend anymore. She goes to a practice with him and gears him singing for the first time. They banter back and forth a little while. He calls her baby while they're making out on the couch and she tells him not to call her that. He does it again without thinking and she reminds him not to call her that. The last time he does, she to,d him not to call her that unless he means it and to stop teasing her. She finally admits her feelings towards him and all he can do is tell her not to regret expressing her feelings and to never hold back. Unfortunately he can't love her and it kills her. After Tom's wedding, she gets a call that her dad has ended up in the hospital and not sure how he's doing. Pete helps her get back home to her sister and father, but she won't allow him to go with her. Maddie and Jess have gotten their relationship somewhat back on track, but she's missing Pete like crazy. She wonders if she will ever find her love to be "real or not".
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book. I have read these books separately and I loved all of them. I like the idea of a box set with the entire collection. I don't like to spoiler events so I'll just say that every book is a very good story and the last one is in my opinion one of the best.
**I received this ARC in exchange for an honest voluntary review** The men of rock band Sinful Serenade: Miles, Drew, Tom, Pete & the women they love all in one box set! Absolutely love this series full of sexy rockstars, witty banter between individual couples & within the band, emotional background stories, band shenanigans & of course the love found within each couple.
