Two women - Two crimes - One reason

University student Rosie Ware has it all - beauty, brains and wealth but on her way to a party she vanishes without a trace. DCI Ian McBride and DS Emma Blakely lead the investigation into her disappearance.

In London an apparent down and out woman is found frozen to death. At first DI Dan Brennan thinks it’s just another sad death from natural causes but his investigation takes him back twenty-eight years to the disappearance of another young girl.

Laura Webb a brilliant computer technician and sometimes hacker links the two enquiries and finds herself much closer to a distressing truth than she would prefer.

As the investigation unfolds it becomes clear that these cases may be linked to others ….. possibly on a global scale.

Kidnap, adoption, romance, suspense and more...

I bought this after reading a very short overview as it seemed to be my type of book and it didn't disappoint. Proving to be a can't put this down story in the most part. The story is well told and full of twists in the plot. I guessed part of Rosie's secret early on but not all of it so the story wasn't ruined. There is a lot of detail around the police work which was interesting and helps take the reader on the journey. The twists in the plot are unexpected and the suspense the plot change brings kept me gripped waiting to see what was next. If this is the authors first book its a good start and I look forward to her next book.
Why only 3 stars? There's just a little bit missing for it to be a sitting up all night to finish it.
Do I recommend you read it? Yes.

Spoof??

I don't like to leave a negative review but I feel you want my true opinion so here goes. It started off ok but as the story progressed I began to wonder if it was a spoof! It got more and more beyond belief and fanciful, and in the end I'd just had enough!

It's a long time since I have read a book I didn't want to put down. A really enthralling plot, which kept you guessing until the end. A great read for my holiday!
