All three are crashed in the Georgia woods, lost on a world where extraterrestrials are the stuff of science fiction. Blending into the human world is doable, if dangerous. But what if the locals are far from human themselves, with secrets of their own?
Deliver his wayward brother to the galactic gulag two galaxies away. Stop along the way at the hidden colony on Earth. Find the woman who had been electrifying his thoughts for two years. Crashing in rural Georgia near an odd little town and being taken prisoner was not part of Riker Phoenix's plan.
Warrior woman Elise Midori ran a galaxy away from Alpha-Prime to escape the man she loved, but could never have. Her new life with the Alpha colony hiding in plain sight from the humans in Alienn, Arkansas, is challenging and satisfying. The mission seems simple enough when her retrieval team is called on to rescue the three occupants of a downed prisoner transport near Nocturne Falls.
She didn't count on the prophecy-obsessed Druids. And she most definitely didn't count on seeing a certain sexy lawman again.
Fiona Roarke is a multi-published author who lives a quiet life with the exception of the characters and stories roaming around in her head. She writes about sexy alpha heroes and used them to launch her very first series, Bad Boys in Big Trouble.
Next up, a new Sci-Fi contemporary romance series set in Arkansas. When she's not curled on the sofa reading a great book or at the movie theater watching the latest action film, Fiona spends her time writing about the next bad boy (or bad boy alien) who needs his story told.
A hearty dose of laughter, each and every day, is required along with lots of coffee first thing in the morning as important parts of her routine.
From the kindle world of Nocturne Falls by Kristen Painter, this is the second novella by Fiona Roarke where aliens from Alpha Prime crash lands into the woods outside the town. This second has a bit more interaction in Nocturne Falls than the prior book and includes a few of the residents as well. This book connects with the author's world created in Alienn, Arkansas. This second subset was much better than the first in both the writing and the level of interesting characters.
Little inconsistencies caused by circular writing. He knows her name before she announces it to the Druid. She knows the prophesy calls for him to be unmanned but that was not in the priestesses recap that she overheard. After these confusions, it gets much better.
A romance combining aliens, druids, and magic.
Excerpt: “Riker wanted to sweep Elise up in his arms, embrace her wildly and never stop kissing her. Every move she made, every word she spoke made him fall more and more in love with her. He’d been harboring a secret crush since her graduation, afraid to voice it even to himself for fear he’d give away his true feelings regarding someone he never expected would be available to him to pursue. One crash-landing on Earth and his whole life had changed in more than one way.” Excerpt From: Roarke, Fiona. “Invasion of the Alien Snatchers.”
There has been a UFO crash near Nocturne Falls and Stella, Elise and Victoria have been sent to retrieve the occupants and to ensure no news of aliens gets out to the humans. Except when they get to the crash site there is no sign of the occupants near the site.
I was excited to see what the next Nocturne Falls Universe instalment would be bought to us by Ms Fiona Roarke, however it wasn't what I was expecting. I loved it. I loved reading this one. It is the same incident from the first book, Close Encounters of the Alian Kind, except we are seeing this one from Elise's point of view. Riker and Elise had a single moment back on their home planet and it has stuck with each of them ever since. To meet again on Earth was a huge coincidence but their chemistry and the events they encounter on their way back to the pick up site makes for a fun story.
This is a sequel to Close Encounters of the Alien Kind and It was even better. Additionally, I read You've Got Aliens (Alienn, Arkansas Book 1), as this is where the characters come from. It seems that the author has created her own world which she is interlacing with the Nocturne Falls Universe, and so far it has worked well, although, it works much better after reading the Alienn. Strangely enough, the idea of aliens in Nocturne Falls does not seem that strange any more. This is the story of the Guard on the space craft that crashed in the vicinity pof Nocturne Falls, Riker, and Elise, trained soldier and bodyguard, permanently stationed in Alienn, and sent on a rescue mission after the crash. Elise and Riker have a brief but significant history in a form of a brief meeting that has left a great impact on both of them. And after years have passed, they meet again, under very stressful circumstances. This book is very well written, it is a roller coaster of action, events and emotions, and it takes you through so many places in Nocturne Falls and there a brief interactions with an array of well known characters. There are brief references to Alienn and the Alpha-Prime culture and traditions, as well as some back flashes to past events on the planet. The villain is superb! As much as this novel can be read as a standalone, I cannot emphasise enough the completeness of the experience the first book adds. I wholeheartedly recommend reading Alienn, Arkansas Book 1 first. Together, the Alienn and the two NFU novels make a great series. Can't wait for the third novel. The Nocturne Falls reading order is: The Vampire's Mail Order Bride (Nocturne Falls #1), The Werewolf Meets His Match (Nocturne Falls #2), The Gargoyle Gets His Girl (Nocturne Falls, #3), The Professor Woos The Witch (Nocturne Falls, #4), and The Witch’s Halloween Hero (Nocturne Falls #4.5) in Spell of the Ball Anthology, The Werewolf's Christmas Wish (Nocturne Falls #4.6) in Hex the Halls Anthology, The Vampire’s Fake Fiancée (Nocturne Falls #5), A Vampire's Valentine Surprise (Nocturne Falls #5.5), Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #1), The Shifter Romances The Writer (Nocturne Falls #6), Miss Frost Ices The Imp : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #2), The Vampire’s True Love Trials (Nocturne Falls #6.5) in Taming the Vampire collection, Miss Frost Saves The Sandman : A Nocturne Falls Mystery (Jayne Frost #3), The Dragon Finds Forever (Nocturne Falls #7), and ever growing series of Nocturne Universe Novels, which surpassed fifteen by now. Great world to get yourself immersed in.

Series: Alienn, Arkansas #1.5; Nocturne Falls Universe Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
When a spaceship crashes in the Georgia woods, a retrieval team is sent to rescue the occupants and prevent any humans from finding out aliens exist. What Elise Midori doesn’t expect is for one of the aliens to be the man she has had a crush on for a year, and left her home world to avoid.
This was another fun Nocturne Falls Universe story. Elise and Riker both are surprised to find each other in Nocturne Falls but they have to rely on each other to avoid a crazy druid cult. Along the way they open up to each other and admit that they both have had feelings for the other since they met years ago. Like most of the stories in the NFU, this one is an instant love relationship. They fall for each other the instant they meet but family, society, and an arranged marriage prevents them from pursuing it.
I liked both Elise and Riker. Elise was a strong and protective woman who knows what she wants to do with her life. I appreciated that about her. The only issue I had was with one decision at the end of the book because I felt it went against everything she had previously stood for.
Riker is a protective alpha male who needs a strong woman like Elise to make him happy. I liked his protectiveness and determination to help his family. Overall, this was a fun and quick romance. Having the aliens of Alienn mix with the paranormals of Nocturne Falls is always interesting. I especially love the cameos by previous couples in the Nocturne Falls universe.
This is a great book; this book is part of the Nocturne Falls Universe and is written by Fiona Roarke. The Nocturne Falls series is written by Kristen Painter and I was so happy that these new books by new authors were asked to write a story in the town. Nocturne Falls is a town that celebrates Halloween every day of the year and also a place that paranormal’s can live and not have to hide what they really are. They crashed in the Georgia woods, lost on a world where extraterrestrials are the stuff of science fiction. Blending into the human world is doable, if dangerous. Deliver his wayward brother to the galactic gulag two galaxies away. Stop along the way at the hidden colony on Earth. Find the woman who had been electrifying his thoughts for two years. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.
I have to admit I got this book confused with its prequel because both stories start with the crash of three male characters being saved by a three female security team. This is the story of Elise and Riker and it’s fun to see what they get up to and mentally compare it with what we know (if we already read the first one) Stella and Draeken get up during the same time period. It is fun to see this alien posse mixing it up with Nocturne Falls locals and traipsing through the town and visiting familiar sites. It was a bit of an adjustment with the first book to not be reading about NF or paranormal characters primarily, but now that my expectations were set, I could enjoy this book in the series even more and look forward to the next, telling the tale of the downed pilot and the third in their retrieval team.
This is kind-of the sequel to the previous book by this author - but it kind of runs along with it...I didn't personally need to rehash the whole thing again, but if you are a new reader this may be helpful so that you understand what is going on. I felt like it was a re-telling of the first book with a few changes thrown in. I didn't dislike the book, but it isn't one of my favorites either.
The author is intertwining her characters and story into the Nocturne Falls Universe, but I am not sure that they are on the same page....I feel like her story is too far from the series that I love. I can't relate to the characters or the plot in these books. I am not sure why I find it too farfetched as the other characters in the series are all paranormals and I am good with them....so while this isn't my favorite it will be a favorite to some readers!
I really enjoyed Invasion of the Alien Snatchers! The world building is creative and fun. This is the second book I have had the pleasure of reading by Ms. Roarke and I was not disappointed. There is plenty of action and adventure in this story with a huge dash of paranormal elements and science fiction. I loved the fact that the heroine is the one who saves the day. So many stories have the guy being the savior, so I thought it was just awesome that that dynamic gets turned on its head in this story. If you love science fiction and sweet romance then you do not want to miss Invasion of the Alien Snatchers! Regina Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More Full Review @ Coffee Time Romance & More
This story, although a sequel to Close Encounters of the Alien Kind, it actually takes place in parallel to that story. If you have not yet read that story, it would be good to read it first. Invasion of the Alien Snatchers is the story of Elise, one of the crew set to recover the folks from the crashed ship and Draeken’s older brother, who was his guard in the first book. This story was just as much fun as the first one. We find that Elise and Riker had an interest in each other before the crash, but neither was aware of the interest of the other. Sparks fly in this touching romance spiced with humor. I can’t wait until the 3rd book comes out (the pilot) to see what adventures unfold with this group!
The second submission by Fiona Roarke into the Nocturne Falls Universe was much better than the first. I felt that Fiona was more comfortable with Nocturne Falls in this book and her use of Kristen's characters was much smoother and not as stiff or formal. I had a lot of fun reading this story with it's twists and turns (and crazy druids). The newly introduced characters are fully rounded and the only inconsistency I spotted was actually spotted after reading We've Got Aliens by Fiona. I loved the story and enjoyed seeing the growth of this particular NFU sub-series.
Honestly, I have a mixed feeling about this book. While I think the story was enjoyable enough, I still couldn’t like it as much as I wanted to. I guess mostly because I didn’t really feel enough connection with Nocturne Falls, and I read this book with the set of mind that it connected with NF. Yes, there’re some characters from NF that showed up, but it just not enough. This story felt like a whole different universe that neighbouring the Nocturne Falls.
If you like alien stories and not hung up on NF world like me, I believe you’ll find this book a good one.
I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.
Fiona Roarke's 'Close Encounters of the Alien Kind' was my favourite story of the first batch of Nocturne Falls Universe novels when they were released so I was really looking forward to this sequel, and 'Invasion of the Alien Snatchers' doesn't disappoint! 😀
I love the idea of Aliens in the Nocturne Fall Universe, and I love the fast paced, fun, easy to read style that these Fiona Roarke stories are written in.
Plenty of action, romance and great characters make this a fine addition to the series, and I can't wait for the next instalment - 'The Alien Who Fell to Earth' - due September 2017.
This is the second book in the series by Fiona Roarke about an alien spaceship crashing outside of Nocturne Falls and 3 female aliens from Arkansas being sent to Nocturne Falls to recover the 3 male aliens aboard the ship and hide the wreckage from humans. I am not normally a fan of alien stories but I love the Nocturne Falls Universe series and I love this addition to it where aliens meet paranormal. To me it is funny that the aliens didn't think the stories about paranormal were real. This story was about Riker and Elsie. Riker and Elsie have been in love since their first meeting and handshake but neither of them realize it. A cute romantic story.
I really enjoyed the Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter. it is really interesting to see other authors take on the town and characters. This story is a continuation of Fiona Roarke's first entry into the Nocturne Falls Universe. Elise is an alien.. that has moved from her home planet to Alienn Arkansas. She is sent on a field mission to retrieve a spaceship that has crashed in the woods of Nocturne Falls. Riker is on that ship escorting a prisoner to another planet that houses a prison. This is a fun read and I always enjoy when Mrs. Painter's characters show up in the story. Can't wait to read the 3 installment of this small novella series.
The NFU books are an amazing addition to an already loved series! The alien twist is just as amazing as the NFU #1 by this author! And I also fell in love with alien Arkansas world! This book is fantastic and I am recommending to everyone who will listen to me! don't think just start with nocturne falls and then NFU buy them all you won't be disappointed! Spider says they are good!
A very cool mix of Alienn and Nocturne falls. It was fun seeing part two of the 3 man loss but also the a different side of the town. It was amazingly fun if a little repetitive at times. The couple spent so long dancing around each other all in regards to the arranged marriages that the druids were almost a second thought at times until the final showdown.
I have to say that when I was reading the beginning of this book o was confused as to if I had already read it because it was written the same as the other alien story. But after getting past that I found it to be equal parts romance and drama (with some hot spots in between). In all it was a good book.
I didn't really enjoy this book as the original nocturne falls books, but it wasn't too bad. I did find the main male character kind of boring, but he was "captured, sleeping" for half the book, so not sure that completely counts... lol
Holy space potatoes, I really do love this story. This is the 2nd story about aliens crash landing in Nocturne Falls and just as good and maybe a little better than the first. Enjoy!
I enjoyed this and it said at the end there would be a third book, dealing with the last person that was on the ship! I look forward to reading it and completing the trifecta of tales from the day!
This book is fun and connects to stories in Alien, AR. I enjoyed the main characters and the Druids were a interesting added touch. The story was a bit choppy, but enjoyable.
I just love this author. I love how she has an alien theme in Alienn, Arkansas. Hope I spelled that correctly. The characters are so well developed and I loved how the story was put together.
