With the majestic Rocky Mountains just outside the window, I sit at my computer with vampires, demons, witches, faeries, and a variety of paranormal creatures gathered around telling me their stories! That makes me an author of paranormal romance novels and cozy mysteries with magic spark. The everyday world is mundane, but sprinkle a little magic and you have fantastic!

Colorado is home. I share my life with a wonderful husband of many moons, our brilliant Chow Chow, a terribly spoiled companion parrot, and a forty-year-old
box turtle. We enjoy hiking, biking, and camping, also love water sports including kayaking and whitewater
rafting, especially on the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge.

Another passion of mine is reading a good novel. You can find me any winter evening curled up in front
of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate, and a big bowl of popcorn. While growing up, if I didn’t like the ending of a book, I’d rewrite it, which led to writing my own books.

Reluctantly, I discovered that in real life it’s tough to rewrite an ending.

Thank you, Ms. Stetler, for creating a phenomenal world! It’s one where I fell in love with a Warlock and believed in the beauty of a gryphon, along with fairies, angels, and vampires. I have been waiting for Tristian and Hannah’s story since I read “A Demon’s Witch.” The author surprised me with the twist and point of view in the story. It’s exceptional. Though this is the second book in Ms. Stetler’s series, “A Warlock’s Secret” can be read as a stand-alone, and I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy a great paranormal tale. It’s woven with all the magical elements that make this story a five star read.

Having read and reviewed two of Tena Stetler's previous books, A Witch's Journey and A Witch's Holiday Wedding, I looked forward to reading her latest book. A Warlock's Secrets does not disappoint. Once again, we're treated to Tena's lush descriptions of the world inhabited by her fascinating paranormal characters, this time around the warlock Tristian and his shifter love interest, Hannah.

They both have secrets, but Tristian's are rooted in the tragedy of his parents' murders at the hands of a demon. Years later, he's now the right-hand man for the Demon Overlord of the Western Hemisphere -- who also happens to be his sister's mate. When Tristian becomes involved with a gryphon shifter, his attraction to Hannah complicates his already complicated life.

I enjoyed learning about the demon/warlock world and the political intrigue that keeps Tristian on his toes. Exciting mysteries, dangerous missions, and steamy love scenes heighten the drama and fun of diving into this top-notch paranormal romance. I highly recommend it to fans of the genre.

Family Secrets, Demons, Warlocks and…cyber security?

Mix them all together and you’ve got Tena Stetler’s newest release from the Wild Rose Press, A Warlock’s Secrets.

I don’t read a great deal of witch/demon paranormal because I’ve found it hard to suspend my disbelief with most of the authors I’ve encountered.
Not so with Ms Stetler.

She actually makes the impossible world of demons etc. believable and relevant.

High Priest Tristan Shandie leads a solitary, lonely life. When he was younger, his and his sister’s lives were changed forever when their parents were murdered. Tristan had always kept the particulars of their parents’ deaths from his sister, but now that she is a grown witch of her own, he can no longer pick and choose the info he gives her, especially when she becomes Tristan’s boss’s Mate- something Tris is so not feeling.

Irish born/American employed Hannah meets Tris and the two are instantly attracted to one another. Hannah is trying to stay in the country because she loves working for her government controlled security firm as a cyber specialist. She may not be able to continue that job soon because- as a foreign national she’s considered a “threat.” But Tris doesn’t form attachments, and neither, apparently, does Hannah. Seems she has her own mystical secrets to keep and any thought of going into a relationship with Tris – or any guy – has it’s own problems attached to it.

AS I said, this book was fun to read because it wasn’t filled with improbable blood lettings, beheadings, etc, that I usually see from paranormals. The story is sound, compelling, and the love story is believable – even tho we’re talking about warlocks and magic!

I highly recommend A WARLOCK’S SECRETS. 5 stars

The second book in the Demon’s Witch series is a gripping and exciting romance that enthralls readers from the very beginning to the very end. Tristian and Hannah is strong, bold and easily draws readers into their world, they have sizzling, electrical chemistry that burns hot from every page but the relationship has quite a few obstacles that keep stand its way like the fact that Tristian has secrets that could literally kill and Hannah has never really cared for bad boys. Changing worlds, emotional turmoil and secrets threaten to destroy this relationship throughout the story which keeps the readers glued to the pages.

This starts off with some major world changing excitement and keeps right on moving at a fast clip through thrilling danger, adrenaline pumping suspense and surprising twists so readers never experience a dull moment. The author has created a wonderfully energetic and thrilling world full of intriguing elements and fascinating character so readers will want to come back for more. This story could be read as a standalone but reading the first book in the series could be beneficial in providing insight into the world that these characters inhabit.

Personally I had a difficult time connecting with this story and these characters. Tristan has had a hard life and is a bossy grump since he keeps to himself in order to not put anyone in danger. There are a few times that he shows he has it in him to be gentle and caring. Hannah gets swooped up and whisked away after she is in danger for knowing Tristan. She takes this all in stride, even when she cannot be in touch with her family, which we are made out to believe she is very close with. There is just too much that is made out to be simple such as flying all around in a private plane and popping through a portal. All without any explanation of what sort or magic or why. You are just told how there has to be a balance, which Tristan on more than one occasion pushes the limits of. This is a long book with plenty of magic happenings and danger around every corner.

A Warlock's Secrets not only takes us back into the world and characters Tena Stetler created in A Demon's Witch, but also overlaps with that first story from a different perspective. This second book of the series can stand alone, but if you want the full picture, I'd recommend reading the first book as well.

The warlock from the title is Tristian Shandie, the dangerous and mysterious older brother of Angie, the witch from Ms. Stetler's first title. Their parents were murdered when they were young, and he's been overprotective of Angie ever since. Between caring for his sister and his stressful job as a magical assassin, he's never had time for a real relationship, nor has he had any inclination.

Tristian is furious when he discovers that his sister is marrying a demon. Not just any demon, mind you, but the Demon Overlord, who also happens to be Tristian's boss. If you read the first book, you know just how angry he is, but you don't know why.

With this story, we find out.

Enter Hannah, who has her own magical secrets. When the two meet by chance the sparks between them fly. Could she be the woman to finally heal the warlock's heart? Will she be able to live with the secrets he's been keeping for so long? When is she ever going to share all of her many secrets with the warlock?

This is the fourth book by Ms. Stetler that I've read, and still find it interesting how normal and everyday she makes the magical world seem. Generally, paranormal stories are more fast-paced and action-packed, eager to make sure you know how out of the ordinary everything is. Which is why some readers don't go for paranormal romance. They want something more relate-able, I guess.

Stetler's witches, demons, fairies and warlocks eat, sleep, laugh and worry just like the rest of us. She weaves the magick in with the mundane as if these magical beings really could be hiding in plain sight among us. The pacing is slow and steady as we follow Tristian's journey of healing his family.

If you're looking for adrenaline-packed fast-paced paranormal, this isn't the book for you. However, if enjoy paranormal romance that gently mixes the magical and the mundane, give this author a try.

Tristan has had a lot of heartache in his life, but that is set to change when he meets sexy Hannah, a shifter. With everything going on in his life, does he have time for love?
This book expanded the world of the first book and I enjoyed reading about supernatural beings that weren't vampires. The author has created a wide and varied world. An enjoyable read. I would recommend it.

Oh my gods what a book! I truly love this book. It is so well-written and such a joy to read. And such a new perspective on witch and demon kind and the world where they try to protect humans know. I am so ready or the next book. and while I wait for it will be going back to read book one. Tristan’s sister’s story.
This book is about Tristan and Hannah. But you get so much more than that is this book. You also get his sister and bosses continuation and a possible glimpse into the next book. Tristan is an enforcer for the demon Lord and dose a good job at it. even though tragic circumstances shoved him into his father’s old job. He always wanted to know what his dad id but never wanted to find out this way. The book starts on a sad note but gets so good when Hannah enters his life, and brings Tristan back to life so to speak. I wish she could tell her parents about him but see his side too. What they have is so good and when he finds out what she is it is so fun. I love that Tena Stetler made her one. It is rare to see some of these creatures in a book. I loved it and am so ready for the next book.
Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too

Obviously I am the author. I put my heart and soul into each book! I enjoy writing each novel and hope that you will enjoy reading my books as much as I did writing them.
A Warlock’s Secrets came to fruition after several readers and a couple of reviewers asked or assumed Tristian’s story was next in the Demon’s Witch Series. In truth, I’d never considered writing his story. He was the Demon Overlords enforcer/assassin, for heaven’s sake.
After delving into who he really is and what he wants, come to find out, he has a strong moral compass and when love comes his way he is fiercely protective and everything Hannah is looking for whether she knows it or not, at first. A Warlock’s Secrets, second book in the Demon’s Witch Series. If they survive, is she strong enough to heal his heart and tame the warlock? Or will their secrets destroy them? Check it out.

I loved this book.

Lots of intriguing paranormal characters and a well thought out plot makes this a story you don't want to miss reading. I found it to contain lots of action and twists & turns. You will read and learn about several interesting interactions, relationships, and romances between different paranormal creatures. The story follows the main character's life as he deals with his family and friends while protecting them from the evil or rogue paranormal creatures in his world. A definite page turner.

I really enjoyed this book as a romance reader and as a PNR lover. I loved that she made Hannah a very strong woman who doesn't allow Tristian to walk all over her. She could easily be intimidated by him considering he is a powerful warlock enforcer but she stands up to him and holds her own. They are each keeping secrets from the other than can threaten their relationship. They are helpless drawn to each other. I love their connection, dialogue and chemistry. But their budding love takes place during a dangerous time as threats to Tristian's life are imminent as he seeks vengeance.

A good paranormal read

Demons witches and a gryphon: what can go wrong. Plenty! Tristian is a bit of a....challenge and Hannah probably gives in too easily most of the time, but they are good together.

I was transfixed by this magical world. Ms. Stetler because I’m not usually into books with shifters but you have at least made me look twice. I enjoyed the descriptions of the beautiful tropical scenery. I will definitely be reading more of this series.

A rather meandering story that never really causes you to engage with the characters. The way the story is told is a bit clinical and the storyline lacks the excitement to make this a compelling read.

Good read

You've got demons, warlocks, witches, angels, faeries, and, now, a gryphon. The magic abounds, some hot sex, not much danger in this one, but loads of romance and foreplay. Highly recommend.
