I'd probably give this book 6.5/7 out of 10 stars. I think teenage boys and girls would benefit from this book as it gives a lot of practical advice on how to be more positive. I'm at a place in my life where I'm really positive so I don't think I can relate to this book much just now. I wish it went a little deeper, too. The poems were really short and the middle was filled with pictures where there could have been some more poetry.

I did love the spiritual side of it. I thought those poems were honest and beautiful. The interactive sections are an important addition and give the book a new experience. I marked a few of these poems to reread and I'll definitely be visiting this book time and time again if I'm ever feeling like I need something to 'pick me up'. ☺️

The eloquent writing took me by surprise and I kinda didn't want it to end.

One of my favourite pieces from about 265:
there's a whole universe inside you
but you don't feel it.
exploding stars.
endless wormholes
but you don't see it.
- injustice.

I loved the whole look to the book. The delicate words and bold statements on life, faith, self-love and growth. The stunning travel photography that just. makes. you. pause. But my favourite parts were the prompts to write down things or collect memories. This is more than just a collection of poetry; it's a journey of spiritual discovery and I can see myself going back again and again to read/work in it.

This is a collection of poems written by Adil Dad, a self-published writer whom I happily stumbled upon on Instagram (do check him out!). It is divided into chapters based on different themes all of which deal with seeking of the self. The book itself is beautifully minimalistic containing lovely photography and tasks for the reader so it becomes a more personal experience. My favourite chapter has to 'Perspectives' - the spiritual aspect of it was thoroughly satisfying. I have definitely marked many of the poems to revisit some time again in the future.

Highly recommended for anyone interested in some contemporary and thought provoking poetry; I'm really looking forward to his future work.

"After the fall you spend months looking for the person you were but rarely look ahead. ahead is change. ahead is progress."

First of all Thank you Adil Dad for for sending me a copy of your book!

This book is so beautiful, inside and out. Nearly all the poems made me feel something and I could relate to so many of them. The minimalistic book cover matches with the words. The poems are so wise and days after I read it I still found myself thinking about some of the poems.

The special thing about this poetry book are the photos that are in it. It's a mix between poetry and photography. On some pages are poems and on the next are photos which the author took himself. They're black and white and so simple, but yet so beautiful.

When you like/love poetry, want to see beautiful photos, love minimalistic book cover and need something empowering to read: this book is perfect for you!
