Many will have a problem with this story as it is not your usual happy-go-lucky story. Honestly I picked it up for the author. I am a huge fan of her other story.

This story sure is melancholic but also give a glimpse of a future that could bring a ray of sunshine. It shows a path of healing and you cannot help but cheer for Natsumi and Touga. As it is a short story it is perfect for a light read but with a good meaning behind it.

Edit : 2022.01.26

It's been almost 2 years since I last read this and it still hits me the same way. There's something that keeps me tugging back to it and at the time I feel rather melancholic, a certain constraint in my heart whenever I read it. Something pushing hard against my chest but it's like I can't completely hate it too. There's something interesting about it.

I don't know what I was expecting but, not this... I didn't like the art that much and I feel the characters, their conflict and they development was underdone... Not for me after all.

Wow. This volume was amazing. I was not expecting to love this as much as I did. The concept of a sister dating her recently deceased sister's fiancee is not something I normally would go for, but the title, Haru's Curse, intrigued me. I greatly felt for Togo and the pressure he had to be perfect and live a life that was controlled by his family. It was an emotionally moving plot with some humorous moments. I'm so glad I read this volume. A wonderful and underrated surprise.

this is so good??!! A story about an older sister going out with her dead-younger-sister's boyfriend. NO NO NO, this boyfriend did not cheat on the younger sister. The interesting thing is that, the guy was interested in the older sister because she always looks gloomy, but when she's with the younger sister she becomes so cheerful. That makes him intrigued to know what's up with her. The story has dark vibe; with the pain that the older sister felt after losing someone close to her and the fact that her father doesn't acknowledge anything that she does, also the boyfriend is someone from a respectable family so his life/his future is already planned, and he didn't have anything he wants to do.

This isn't something that I would usually read but it made me feel a multitude of different feelings.

Natsumi's younger sister, Haru, was engaged to Tougo at his mother's insistence. However, she passed away recently due to cancer.

Tougo persuaded his parents to allow him to continue the engagement with Natsumi instead. However, Natsumi has 1 condition: to bring her to all the places he had visited with Haru during the course of their relationship.

There were only 4 chapters in volume 1 but it was a whole ride. I loved the pacing. The artwork was intriguing too. At some points, it felt quite raw and I can't help but to feel drawn towards it.

I hope that both Natsumi & Tougo will be able to find solace in each other & heal.

This is pretty much is a very dark and very very sad short 8 chapter manga. It's about a girl named Natsumi whose sister died from cancer and is trying her hardest to cope around with life. She tries to be friendly with Tougo (the sisters fiancee) but he finds the whole thing pretty difficult and keeping it to himself.

I'm going to review the whole thing properly on volume 2 so check that out (if you like) if you've gotten that far!

What I love about this volume is that Natsumi isn’t secretly in love with her sister’s boyfriend from the jump — thank god. That would’ve been the easiest cliché to fall into. Instead, we get something more complex, more emotionally murky. Like yes, the whole “he actually liked you and not your sister” trope is still there, but the jealous dead sister angle? That hit a little different.

Togo definitely gave off vibes that he was into Natsumi from the beginning, and honestly… I’m convinced Haru knew. That final moment before she died? It felt like she was trying to tell her sister something. Ugh. The ache of it all.

Now what really had me raising my eyebrows — why did Natsumi agree to date him in the first place?? Like if she was just curious about where her sister went on dates, couldn’t they have just gone as… normal people? No label necessary. But the way she chooses to go through with this anyway, it’s giving guilt. Self-punishment. Maybe she’s grieving, maybe she’s confused, maybe both — and the writing actually leans into that messiness in a way I really respect.

It’s disturbing. It’s wrong. It’s also incredibly human. Her admitting to being unsure of how she really felt about her sister? That kind of honesty is rare in stories like this — and Konishi does not shy away from it. It’s unsettling in the best way.

Excited (and emotionally bracing myself) for Volume 2.

Tipe2 cerita kayak gini fave gw.

Review vol. 1-2 (END)

Duh ceritanya sweet yet sad. Bagussss...

Art wise, it’s not so beautiful, but the plot is really good. It reminds me from MV Younha - we broke up today.

Natsumi loves her sister so much that she is willing to do everything for her sister’s sake. They had it all mapped out, get out of the house, living together just the two of them. However, one day, her sister died because of her disease after doing the chemo. At the funeral, her sister’s boyfriend asked her to go out with him, she agreed on one condition that he would bring her to the places he has brought her younger sister.

Seriously, it’s so heartbreaking that Natsumi and Haru only have each other. Their parents divorced and his father got married with their stepmom 6 months after the divorce settled.

In this book, it tells how Natsumi lives her life after Haru, with some flashback stories.

Touching story that starts with a death of a sister & fiancee and how the two closest to her find a way to live. This story most likely struck a chord for me that the two characters are struggling with losing someone to cancer and even before her death they weren't functioning well. The story was sweet & a surprise start in the manga genres. The series isn't very long but well done.

This is so sad. Natsumi and Haru. Haru and Natsumi. For the longest time, it was both of them against the world, until Togo came along. Then Haru died, and it became Natsumi and Togo.

Natsumi is a complex and flawed character. Due to her childhood, the person she loved the most was her younger sister, Haru. As the older sister, Natsumi did her utmost best to provide her sister everything she could want. Her entire life was centered around Haru. At one point Natsumi was even worried whether she was in love with Haru or not. The love she felt was so immense that when Haru died and left her all alone, she was thinking to join her soon too.

The guilt both Natsumi and Togo felt for dating right after Haru died is justified but I don't fault them for finding some sort of solace with each other. But in my opinion they weren't actually together, as their arrangement lasted for as long as it took Togo to bring Natsumi to wherever he and Haru went for dates before. If Togo had been in love with Haru in the first place, I don't think he would've agreed to this condition but because he cared about Natsumi, he was all right with it as long as he could be with her. Over the course of their relationship, they learned a lot about and understood each other but still, it wasn't enough to overcome the guilt that Natsumi felt over the entire thing.

This manga has absolutely everything I look for in a psychological manga: a dark atmosphere, complex characters, realistic portrayals of intense emotions…

I feel so bad for what Natsumi is going through, and I really do hope she is able to find solace in what she finds at the very end of this volume. As her sister was her whole world, she feels like she has nothing now, and she was struggling to cope with just being left alive the whole volume.

I’m really wondering how her relationship with Tougo will turn out, and if Natsumi will ever be able to forgive herself for what she’s doing.

I bought volume two a few hours after finishing this volume… I need to know what happens!

Wystarczyłoby renegocjować warunki, ludzie, w końcu jesteście dorośli i to wasze życie.
