WOW! This is one of the most intense and impactful bible studies of my life. I came to the Lord about 15 years ago. My past haunted and taunted me, creating a deep sense in shame and insecurity which in turn was affecting every relationship I encountered. During the deepest, darkest time of my life, I lost control and became a walking disaster destroying everything and everyone that came into my path. I had lost all hope for any good in my life. Then the Lord got a hold of me and Healed and Set Free introduced to me. I remember being terrified of walking into a class with strangers I didn't know, and didn't care to know, ashamed they would find out all that had happened to me and all I had done. I thank God that HE inspired Tammy to create this bible study, because not only was I able to heal from my past, but this study gave me tools to use in giving me a future. I not only have taken this study 3 times, but I have continued to lead it to this day, now impacting the lives of the Spanish speaking community. And God is so amazing in how He is using this study to heal and transform so many women's lives. I highly recommend this study, no matter how big or small you think your hurt is. Thank you, Tammy, for being obedient to that still small voice that called you out to use HIS love story in your life which has impacted so many women.

Incredible. A transformative study of healing from our past hurts. Powerful and transformative. It takes awhile to get through if you are truly vulnerable with God. Better to do it with a group of friends.

This was amazing! Truly changed me from the inside out. I did not know so much about forgiveness and it walks you through your pain and hurt to know you aren’t alone bc God is with you and it’s time to be set free.

I'm giving this study a low rating not because it wasn't a good study, but because 50% of it didn't pertain to me. Not everyone faces tragedy in the form of sexual abuse leading to food disorders leading to struggling marriages, which was pretty much what this study touched on. So if that is you ... this would be GREAT for you. But that wasn't my past.

With that being said, the parts that didn't pertain to me were very thought provoking, influential and helpful. There are definitely some things I didn't realize I had let my past effect in my present so it was nice to have those pointed out to me and scriptures provided to help me be Healed and Set Free. I have referred people to this book and would again.

Great book for anyone who has been raped, molested, had adultery committed or have harbored any type of hurts or bitterness. Beware! it will challenge you to confront those things which you may have hoped to merly suppress. However, as one completes the study and perservere reliving the past, one is filled with a peace and freedom that allows one to live a more productive and fruitful life not based upon the issue that has broken ones heart.

This is not a book for the faint of heart. If you have a need to heal from current and past pains and are willing to look hard at what the Lord has to say about healing, and forgiveness this book has great potential for you. I highly recommend it as a small group study (10 or less) and a study with a buddy. Flying solo through this book, I think you get less out of it.
