I just spent the night wandering through dark fields in the middle of country they forgot to put on the map. There's wolves following me, a gigantic horseman with a blood red sword prowling in the dark... and he's hot.
Conrad is like no one I've ever met. He's as cold as the castle walls and as hard as the stones, but I can reach him. Every touch is a spark and every time we kiss it's like I've known him forever... but he pushes me away, telling me I must be gone when the moon turns dark again. One look in his eyes, one touch of his body, one night in his bed and I know I can never leave.
There's something wrong here. There's something lurking beneath the castle stones watching my every move, desperate to keep me from the truth. Whatever it is, we'll face it together.
Count On Me is an epic, standalone paranormal romance full of passion, mystery, adventure, and scorching heat, with an HEA that will thaw the coldest heart. This special edition includes two more full length standalone romances for you to enjoy!
This was a total mind f*ck of the paranormal variety. This book will have you up late at night to finish it and trying to figure out what the heck is going on. It's like a jigsaw puzzle that you are trying to piece together and not everyone is as they seem or who they seem to be. I am a big Abigail Graham fan, but this is my favorite book of hers.
Just wow, if you are a paranormal fan and love a great puzzle.....then this is the book for you. And you're welcome.
I received an ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review Once started could not put it down it keeps you hooked from the start Another great read from this author
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...
2.5 stars
I really wanted to like the story but it was just so confusing starting from page 1. I love paranormal romances but I'm very picky since I like a lot of action and romance in the stories. First thing about the book, the synopsis given does not correlate to what happens in the book at all. Conrad spends 80% of the book pushing Roxanne away and he definitely didn't demand a baby from her. Conrad wasn't even a mean person, in fact, I found him to be sweet especially with the hell he was living with.
Spoilers Ahead:
Now I did like the idea of a cursed village that is trapped in a time loop but everything else that happened completely confused me and complicated the story too much. In my understanding of a time loop, is a portion in time that happens repeatedly over and over again with no end; in this book the "time loop" begins when Roxanne returns to the village and then it "ends" when Roxanne dies, but time continues and children grow and life moves on but the time loop never ends (what?). Apparently, that happened because the evil witch placed curse on Roxanne (the good witch) and Roxanne placed a curse on the evil witch that created a convoluted curse.
Then there is the fact that Conrad is the only one who is aware of curse, but yet does nothing to stop his brother from attacking the village while knowing how it all plays out. Then there is Roxanne who gets trapped in the village because of the curse and everyone says she stuck forever and can't leave; then Conrad says she can leave at the next moon and she will be safe.
There was just so much going on and the explanations for why everything was happening just didn't hold the story together.

What a totally amazing and absolutely intriguing story this was to read. I just hope my review does it justice, because I was completely enthralled with this book. When the story begins, Roxanne is a normal girl backpacking across Europe, fleeing from a father who has nothing but bad intent for her. Roxanne is heading to Harkania, but on the way the plane crashes in the middle of nowhere and she finds herself thrown into a world of danger and magic. Conrad, known as Count von Grauberg, knows she is here; he can smell her on the air, a taste so familiar yet so foreign. As ever, the evil thing on his back whispers in his ear as it sings in his veins, a wordless song of fire and death, blood and thunder. While Conrad welcomes Roxanne to his castle, he tries to make her leave, but she wants to stay; she has a feeling of recognition about him and a strange sense of familiarity. It is starting over again, and Conrad promises himself he will save her this time; nothing hurts more than the lack of recognition in her eyes. If Roxanne wants the answers she seeks, she has to learn to ask the right questions. Conrad has the heavy eyes of a man who has seen too much, most of all when she catches him looking at her. Roxanne becomes concerned about the dreams she keeps having and while she wants the truth from Conrad, he warns her that she may not like what she hears or sees; his family history is one of grief and madness, but also magic swords, monsters, a haunted castle and witches. As the only one who remembers, Conrad has to endure an ongoing cycle countless times and he is desperate to send Roxanne away; it is the only thing he lives for. To see her again is his joy and his greatest sorrow. Roxanne cannot believe what is happening, but it’s all real; she is trapped in some weird netherworld under the spell of a cursed sword, with her fate bound to a man who has watched her die over and over and over again. Now it is time for Roxanne to remember, to remember exactly who she is and break this evil curse. It had all been her fault, she had trapped her family in hell, but love would prevail; it was the key. This is by far one of the best books I have read by this author and one I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
All right, so I originally bought this book for the story of "Count on Me". When I got to the forward at the beginning though, it said that Graham had written a book called "His Princess" first - so before continuing, I went and bought that book and read it first. it wasn't till I got to the point where I was sure I was halfway through, saw that I was only 21% through the book, that I learned there was more than one book in this download. And I had technically bought "His Princess" twice. 😑 Luckily, I did already enjoy that book. Anyway, this review on count on me. It was a very interesting supernatural read for me. Supernatural romances are usually my forte, so I read a wide range of those books. The detailing in this book that Graham has written is what really stood out for me based on what I have read before. There was excellent world-building and interesting characters throughout the book. A couple were mentioned a few times but didn't make much of an impact in the story #sisterinlaw The majority of the story is told from Rebecca's point of view, with about, maybe, 6 chapters in total told from Conrad's POV, unlike "his princess", told only from Penny's POV. I will see this, because of Conrad's POV, there were certain things that happened in the story that I was able to figure out on my own instead of near the end of the story when all of the mysteries come together. I am proud of myself for being able to figure it out, at the same time I kind of wish it was a surprise to me as well as Roxanne. However, the plot, world-building, and drama throughout the whole story was very satisfying and I am very glad to have read this book. Since I had already read "his princess" I skipped ahead to check out "Thrall". But after reading the synopsis for that, I am personally not really excited about that one. So I have no review for that story.
I hope to check out more of Graham's books in the future :-)
My mind is reeling from reading this book. Just when I thought I had things figured out, something would send me in a different direction trying to figure out what the hell was going on. I loved it. There was no guessing, until close to the end, when I finally figured it all out like Roxanne!
Roxanne is on the run, she might have finally slipped everyone with this last trip, especially since the plane goes down and she survives. With a fellow survivor, they make a trek thru the countryside looking for help. Help is NOT what Roxanne finds. She finds a man who both desires her and can't stand the sight of her. Something in her tells her, he wants her more than he can fight her. Yet, there is something lingering in her mind, something familiar about him, the castle, the people, everything. Can she figure it out in time? Or will she be forever bound to this land?
Conrad is ready to send Roxanne packing before she even steps foot into his castle. She can't be here. She needs to go home. Far away from him and what is his curse, his life, his undoing. She is too innocent in all this. Not this time. She has to leave, no matter how bad it hurts him. But can he let her go? Can he release her?
This is a great paranormal book that spans time. I wasn't sure what was going on right away, I wasn't sure of the people either. My first impression, Conrad is a jerk and needs to be smacked down, but then I grew to love him. To love how he cherished and took care of Roxanne and his 3 children. It was his burden to bare and he wasn't going to let anyone take that from him, because this was a test for him. So good!
This is a romantic suspense about a young woman Roxanne who is running away from her father and back to her family and seems that without knowing has done so on many occasions but this time there is something different about what is happening she is on her way to a country she believes she has not heard of before but where she thinks she can become lost in for a while she meets a young woman on the plane they are caught up in a severe storm and the plane crashes and they are the only two who survive and then when walking to the nearest town they are attacked and the other young woman is rescued but Roxanne hides and then she arrives in a small village and asks for help but ends up at this huge Castle where she becomes involved with Conrad the hottest man she has ever seen and he is the King and she meets his children who are all cursed and after a while she starts having De'ja'-vu or remembering something but she isn't sure what and the king is not being forth coming about it, Conrad shows her something she cannot believe but is very true. There is something evil lurking about. I enjoyed the story line but thought it took to long to get to the real plot. I received a copy for an honest review.
At first I was a little apprehensive to read it since the blurb throw me but after reading the last chapter it intrigued me to want to read what all this was about. I was thinking some Lord of the castle was going to be spoiled or playboy wanting to get his way it's Not. Not what I thought at all but loads better. You won't be disappointed.
A mix or romance, paranormal, mystery, intrigue and reincarnation. Witches, demons, and curses will take generations of life's playing on repeat until a scared running from home Roxanne to survive a plane crash only to be trapped in a country that isn't modern day anything but stuck and repeatedly trapped in horses and wagons were transportation, candles were only light in the dark and where many layers of dresses were appropriate dress for a proper lady. Lord Count Conrad is dying each moon cycle. Fighting for his life and his children but for the only women he has ever loved or touched that comes to be trapped in his life only to last until he hold her dying body and then waits until she comes back, same features but different name and time.
Count On Me by Abigail Graham is a paranormal romance that had me from page one. As the book started I wasn't exactly sure where it was taking me but Oh What A Ride! I don't want to give to much away but I will say that the story is about Roxanne who runs away from home do to her father selling her to pay off his debts. She roams from place to place because she is afraid he is going to caught up to her. The story opens up with her on a small plane going to a small town in Europe where she is going to do some missionary work. Roxanne never gets there because a storm hits the plane and her and the other passenger Saska crash. From this point on the story is one surprise after another so I don't want to give away any more of the plot but you will not be disappointed. The characters are well written and interesting. If you like books that are about two people who find each other no matter what(you will understand what I mean when you read it) then I think you will really enjoy this well written book. I receive a free copy of this book.
On the run from everyone and everything she knows, Roxanne survives a plane crash only to find herself in a world out of time where a mysterious Count named Conrad awakens a deeply buried part of her soul. Can she find a way to break the curse that holds the people she loves spellbound?
I had no idea this was a paranormal romance when I began this book. All I needed to know was that it was written by Abigail Graham and I knew it would be great reading. I was right but the book blurb absolutely does not give any idea of what this story is really about and is entirely misleading about the nature of the characters. Count on Me is the story of a passion so great it wouldn't die; a love so strong it survives a curse for hundreds of years; of a woman who finds the strength of will to do what seems impossible. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this enthralling romance and I loved it. 4.5 stars.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have read books by this author before and very much enjoy her stories and this was no exception, although it is a bit different from her other writings. Since I do not want to give away any spoilers all I can say is that all is not as it seems when it comes to the main characters in this book. I really like both main characters however, Roxanne and Conrad. Roxanne is running from a father that sold her to pay gambling debts and her travels has her ending up in a castle in a faraway land belonging to Conrad. The heat between them is instant. They both have secrets to hide, but what makes this story different is that the castle itself has secrets to hide. Every time I thought I had the story figured out the author would add another twist and the ending had me anxious with anticipation for the outcome I hoped for. I could not put this story down until I finished it. I highly recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Wow. Well I know I love romance, fantasy, puzzles, the paranormal and that's just for starters but to put all that into a story , well that's what you get with this story. It is totally mind blowing. Roxeanne is on the run after her father runs up debt. Travelling around , meeting people is good for a while but meeting Saska will be a life changing experience. When their plane crashes, Roxeanne will begin a journey of such epic proportions, she will wonder if it is real or just a dream. This story kept me awake for hours , trying to find out all about her and Conrad. He is a born leader but has secrets, dark secrets. It is like a medieval background mixed with magic, sorcery and modern times. As I said, totally mind blowing but a very enjoyable read.
What a different genre wasn't expecting this. Roxanne can't believe that her life is about to end this way all she wanted was to disappear for awhile. She wakes up and doesn't know where she is but at least she isn't alone, the girl next to her has also survived. Can they find their way out of the jungle? Roxanne is about to walk into a nightmare that makes no sense. Conrad needs to send this young woman away it isn't safe for her but she will need to stay until it is safe. There is story to Conrad but he is hiding something and she needs to find out what. But can she believe what she is about to find out and can she really leave this man now? A story full of twists and turns. A strong read. I was lucky enough to receive a copy in exchange for an honest review from the author.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for an honest review. That said, this was my first book by Abigail Graham so I was not sure what to expect. Roxanne is running from her "real life" when she lands herself right in the center of a time-trapped pocket of existence. Cue the Count, who I happened to love. I thought he was very sweet despite his tough exterior and loved the relationship these two characters develop. I could not read this fast enough, I was dying to figure out why the Count continued to push Roxanne away despite their chemistry. For the most part I enjoyed this read, I did find the whole "twist" slightly confusing though and felt I could have used a little more "history".
I'm not quite sure how to rate this book. It was different from the paranormal romances I would normally read, but not in a bad way. I can't figure out if there were lots of twists and turns or just a lot of confusion. The synopsis left me confused as well, I remember Saska saying that may be wolves, but none ever chased them. I didn't find Conrad cold, but he was guarded. which didn't quite add up because he wanted Roxanne so badly. Why not enjoy what he could before time was up? Why not kill his brother when he had the chance in the baths if he knew what was coming. There were a lot of holes in this book, but overall I enjoyed the idea of it.
I received this book in advance for an honest review. Normally I love Abigail Graham books, but this one just didn't wow me as much as her other novels. It was still a great story with strong characters, magic and steaminess. Roxanne and Conrad have a long history that spans centuries. Together they reunite and battle a magical foe that had cursed them. It's got action, romance and a large amount of paranormal. I still love Abigail Graham and will continue to be openminded to her new path if she continue her paranormal direction.
He is forced to live his life over and over again and he is the only one who remembers. What will he do this last time when his wife walks through the realm and he can't force her back out she's stuck for yet another moon cycle but what will he do when she starts remembering thing. It's hard to keep her away when she constantly has something to say to him, questions about this place he lives in and the darkness around everyone. But most of all when he does tell her his secrets she knows she needs to desperately remember so she can defeat this evil for good and save her husband and kids.

I bought this under the FALSE advertisement of it being a comedy where the Count wants a baby. This is sooo not a comedy book, nor does the Count ever ask for a baby. That being aside, the storyline grabbed my attention from the beginning and held it to the end. It was very different from my normal read, but I enjoyed it none the less. It's hard to comment on this book without giving anything away. It's full of mystery, love, burden, surprise, villains, and magic. I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to read a mystery entangled with a love like no other.
This was an enjoyable read that kept me on my toes. I'm not usually drawn to fantasy but the characters and the story kept me involved. Roxanne, her dreams, mixing with memories and feelings pull her to Conrad. He has secrets, pain and loss, that she wants to figure out. If you enjoy some fantasy, love and a strength that cannot be pulled apart with time, then this is a read for you!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Roxanne was touring foreign lands when she finds herself in a plane crash. What happens next in this paranormal story as she steps into a different time was both romantic and scary. When she meets the handsome Conrad. I enjoyed the banter between Roxanne and Conrad. I thought this was a great story about evil times and love that stands the test of time.
Holy hell I think I have a headache, 18 percent and I just freaking couldn't anymore. This book just kept going on and on with no answers and more questions. I really tried, but after trying to read this crazy mess over and over I'm throwing in the damn towel. The description of the story is extremely misleading as well. Sorry
This book keepings you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Conrad and Roxanne share a special kind of love that last a life time. I enjoyed reading this book. I received a advance readers copy of this book.
I received a free book and voluntarily chose to review it. This is a different kind of book for me. My strong woman gets stronger as the story unfolds. A plane crash and a medieval village has Roxanne wondering what is going on. I couldn’t put the book down.
I was pretty jazzed to read this book, but i was not able to finish it. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t click with me. I love this author and previous books by her. I even love the type of fantasy concept of the story. I may try again at another point. 3 stars for a neutral rating
DNF -Only made it to 10% before giving up. There were too many things that didn’t make sense to me, that pulled me out of the story. Nothing about the main characters made me care. I think the idea had potential, but the execution didn’t work IMO.
This book definitely kept me hooked. I found myself rereading parts to make sure I didn't miss anything. The plots twists are very well written and the ending is unexpected.
When I got this, I expected one thing but got something so much better. My thoughts after finishing this were What did i just read and why are there no more words?
