One-Woman Show had everything that I look for in a New Adult novel!
A hot, larger-than-life hero. A strong, kickass heroine and a plot that had me on the edge of my seat!
I loved 'The Bodyguard' when I was little, so I was so excited to read this! And while it was totally different, the underlying tension between the two main characters had the same sexy, underlying tension. Their slow-build romantic connection really got under my skin, and the thrilling mystery that went along with it was icing on the cake. I had a few thoughts about who the stalker was throughout the book, but the ending still took me completely by surprise! WELL DONE!
I loved the secondary characters, I loved the theme of dealing with personal demons, and I loved how it all came together in the end. There were really creepy moments, scary moments, heartbreaking moments and an ending that will knock your socks off.
Kayla's stories are all over the internet on different platforms, but this may be her best one yet.

One Woman Show was an entertaining read from start to finish. Author Kayla Parent has taken an oldie but goodie "The Bodyguard" and added a modern spin to it. This book kept me guessing, so much so that I read it in two days! If you are looking for a good thriller read with doses of romance, humor and wit than this is the book for you. I look forward to seeing what's next from this author.
What a page turner! This book is incredible and I highly recommend it. Not only is the plot well-thought out, but the characters were so well-developed that I felt as if I were experiencing the occurrences right along with them. The suspense builds throughout the story, keeping the reader captivated until the last page. I had fun guessing the outcome due to the attention to detail within the story line. But my, does Kayla keep you on the edge of your seat. Just when you think you'll get an answer, the story takes another turn. She really knows what she's doing.
I fell in love with the two main characters. Both were very real, and with so many different story lines, there is something everyone can relate to. A must read!
This was a fantastic love story about how guilt can cloud our hearts. The author paints a beautiful picture of how two people carry their guilt around and allow it to steer their lives, while telling a fun and heartwarming story. She makes you fall in love with the main characters instantly, I finished the book two weeks ago and I am still carrying these characters around with me. A great read! I've always had a strong fascination with crime, so it was quite an experience coming up with creepy letters and a -- hopefully -- thrilling plot. (Maybe I was an arms dealer in a past life, who knows!).
I hope you all love X and E as much as I do.

This book is as good as it gets! What more could you want from a read than a badass hero, a strong-minded, no-nonsense heroine, and enough suspense to keep you turning the pages long into the night?
I could not put this book down! The author did an incredible job with character development, and I felt drawn in and connected with both the hero and heroine, as well as the cast of funny, quirky, and unforgettable supporting characters. Watching Eloisa and X navigate their relationship in the midst of the drama unfolding was spellbinding and completely riveting, and their chemistry was just the right combination of sexy and sweet. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great beach read, a weekend escape read, or anyone who appreciates well developed characters and leave you guessing plot lines. I am looking forward to reading more of Kayla Parent's work!

I LOVED this book!!
One-Woman show is so different than everything else I've read lately. Mostly because it didn't contain any of the trite, silly drama that most New Adult novels have these days!
The characterization was consistent and refreshing, and the love story was thoughtful and gave me all the feels! At the end there was no doubt that X and E were made for each other, and I loved watching them figure it out. Their bickering in the beginning made me laugh more than once! (That bird scene!!!!)
I could not put this book down. The storyline was fast-paced and exciting and the villain was BEYOND scary. THOSE NOTES!!!
Don't start this book unless you have hours to spare!
Kayla is a fresh, new author and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!
This is the second book that I’ve read from this author. I liked her Monster book more. This was good, a fast read but i found it without much connection really. The male heroine Xavier was hard to like with how he acted at first and it just feels like Eloisa fell with him mostly because of his good looks. Idk
