➦Fans of sports romance are sure to be satisfied with this story full of humor, steam and, well, hockey. And, personally, I'm all for reading about hot athletes...


➦The hero is a hockey player with a somewhat questionable reputation who finally gets picked up by a pro team after being inactive for a while. There's just one condition. He gets a chaperone. Easy enough, right?


➦You guessed it, said chaperone is of the female variety. AND he has to live in her house. He REALLY likes her though and therefore he decides that sooner or later she will be his. She likes him too, but she will have to resist, being the daughter of the guy who hired her to be the babysitter. She's a professional, ok? How long will she hold out for?


➦I seem to have a soft spot for hockey books and this one is definitely a fantastic blend of everything I look for in a sports romance. It has a good amount of actual sport descriptions - the action on the ice is exciting but not overpowering to the point of putting the reader to sleep.


➦The book has a roommates (kinda) trope because these two are thrown into the same living space and we all know how fun that can get. I enjoyed ogling me some abs along with the heroine. :)


➦These two man characters gave me the feels and ultimately that's the main thing I care about! But imagine my surprise when the last 20% or so of this novel I spent laughing out loud!!! I certainly didn't expect it but it was such a pleasant surprise and I think that this author's sense of humor is hilarious.

➦This is definitely my favorite by Natasha Madison so far! I've definitely seen glimpses of the humor in her other novels before but this one has that plus a a perfect balance of all my favorite elements - likable characters and crazy sexual chemistry, anticipation of good things to come (*wink*) and, I did mention hot hockey players, right?

I may have seen this author's books in passing but I had never really noticed or read their work until now and I have been missing out. I'm a sucker for those possessive, insta-love stories and this book certainly fits the bill.

Matthew is intense. Some of the things he does are "call-the-cops" worthy but I was digging the heck out of it. Go fiction! lol Karrie was a good heroine, too. I liked how she handled the unruly hockey player. I'm not a fan or doormats so she is a big win for me.

He's quite the dirty talker:

“The only cock that will be fucking you will be mine," I tell her while she gets on her elbows, raising herself up. "You got that?" I ask her.

Just one more little tease... couldn't resist.

“You can pretend all you want, babe, but I bet if I slid my hand down into your shorts I'd find your pussy wet for me."

There are funny and tender moments as well.

“Are you a morning person?"
"Why?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
"My mother can't be talked to without at least smelling coffee. I'm just making sure I don't die."

The plot wasn't out of this world creative but the writer made it work well in execution. The characters experienced development. The pacing was solid. All in all a solid read.

Something So Perfect is a book I've been waiting for ever since I read Ms. Madison's Tempt The Boss. Even just the small glimpse of these characters that we got in that story had me dying to get more of them, and I was not disappointed.

Matthew Grant is a Hero that will have you ripping your own panties off, getting ready for him. He was such a sweet-talking, possessive Hero that was sexy as hell when he didn't let Karrie push him away. Living in such close quarters with the bosses daughter should have had him on his best behavior, instead he was as naughty as possible. I really liked seeing him fluster the usually in-charge Karrie, and when she started to open up for him it changed the whole dynamic of their relationship.

Karrie was a great character to get to know, and I liked the strength she had. It made watching her and Michael together extremely entertaining because they constantly pushed against each other. The banter between them had me laughing out loud at most moments, and the other it had me fanning myself. They just had the perfect chemistry for a romance and I already know I'll be re-reading their book.

Overall, this is a huge recommend from me. Though it's part of a series the book can definitely be read as a standalone since there isn't any hints about the previous books that will make you feel like you missed something.

Another funny, sexy read by Natasha Madison! I’m in love with this series and the hot hockey players that star in it! This instalment is about Cooper Stone’s step-son who follows Cooper’s footsteps in the NHL stardom career! When Matthew becomes a hard to handle celebrity, it is time to bring in a chaperone to keep him in line! His chaperone is the boss’s daughter!!! Of course sparks fly when they meet, and continue on the more they spend time together!!!

Matthew was extremely possessive...but in a totally sweet way if that makes any sense!!! I was rooting for this couple from the get go! With being a well known sports star though, comes challenges with the press as well as enemies who want to see you fall. There are a few bumps in the road to happiness for Matthew and Karrie, but there devotion to one another will hopefully be strong enough for them to conquer the hurdles!

I thoroughly enjoyed this second book in the series and I’m eager to continue on! I’m very pleased with this author’s work, and her sex scenes are steamy, romantic and a little bit kinky at times! Exactly what i like!!!!

Warning: spoilers abound.

Something So Perfect was written in such a way that what should’ve been a quick, easy read turned into a long, painful process. I had to push myself to finish this novel, picking it up and putting it down several times. As it turned out, I overestimated my ability to withstand torture sustain interest in a book about an overly obnoxious, doormat heroine and a low-rent, wannabe Kristen Ashley, alpha hero.



Needless to say, I have several criticisms of this book.

Irrespective of the fact that the author credited an editor, a proofreader, and a handful of beta readers, the editing was unacceptably poor, with run-ons, questionable grammar, and syntax issues aplenty, just to name a few. And that’s to say nothing about the writing itself, which was pedestrian, at best, and dreadfully dull, at worst.

The story read like it was a first draft, one that was written in haste. It was both unpolished and unrefined. It was written in a dry, never-ending stream of “I did this, I did that,” which, consequently, only succeeded in pulling me out of the story. Instead of focusing more on developing the plot, the narrative focused more on the little things—inconsequential scenes that didn’t lend anything to the plot.



The writing style was unnecessarily repetitive, arbitrarily switching from one point-of-view to another, a problem that was made even more frustrating by having the same scenes repeated verbatim from both the hero and heroine’s perspective. To top it off, there were long-winded descriptions of characters performing mundane acts, such things that I couldn’t care less about.



Moving on.

Matthew Grant is the hero of Something So Perfect, the second book in the Something So series. He was first introduced as the fifteen-year-old son of Parker, the heroine from Something So Right. Now in his mid-twenties, Matthew is looking for a second chance, a way to redeem his failed career and repair his public image. He went from being a rising star in the NHL to a washed-up has-been, all within a six-year time span.

And therein lies the problem.

It was inconceivable for me to imagine that the same kid who lived and breathed hockey would be so flippant and careless enough to piss away his shot at a professional hockey career. And not because he wasn’t good enough, but because, supposedly, he had a case of the sads. Because his mommy and daddy divorced when he was thirteen. Because his dad wasn’t around all that much. Because he was lucky enough to have a stepdad who stepped up, doing all the things a father should. Because his life was so terribly not terrible.



Matthew had his dream in the palm of his hand, but he let it slip away in a haze of non-stop parting. This pattern of behavior went unchecked for years, until, finally, after his game continued to slip, he was demoted down to the farm team. And still, unbelievably, he continued to party like a frat boy—far more interested in booze and puck bunnies than in getting his act together. Perhaps even more surprising was the fact that this behavior was allowed to continue for another two years before being cut from the team altogether.

Luckily for Matthew, however, his stepdad is a retired NHL legend in his own right, someone with enough clout to resuscitate his failed career.



Oh, so now he steps in? That’s all good and well, but where was this parental concern years ago, when it mattered?

Before long, a team comes a-knocking—with a stipulation, of course. They’re prepared to offer him a one-year contract on the agreement that he signs off on having a chaperone. Matthew is a grown-ass man who can’t be trusted to make good decisions without adult supervision, after all. And so, who better to chaperone this playboy man-child than the team owner’s young, attractive, near virginal daughter? Because, I mean, why not, right?



Karrie Cooney is the daughter of Doug Cooney, owner of the team that just acquired Matthew Grant. Karrie, who holds a recently minted master’s degree in communication and public relations, is summoned to her dad’s office, where he informs her that—surprise!—she’s just been hired as the glorified babysitter to one Matthew Grant.

Karrie puts up a half-hearted resistance, insisting that she doesn’t need her daddy to get her a job. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have much in the way of backbone, which, in essence, negates her weak objections. To placate her, her father assures her that this is an entry-level job. She’s not being handed anything, he insists. Except she is, and for no other reason than because she’s the boss’s daughter. I don’t know many entry-level positions that include a generous signing bonus and the deed to a brownstone. Not only that, but her contract has an out clause with no penalty. Once she’s out, she’s out—no questions asked.

Because her agreement was a foregone conclusion, her father divulges the rest of his brilliant plan. Not only will Karrie be playing at being a babysitter nanny chaperone, but Matthew will also be her new roommate because, as he has already proven, he cannot be trusted or left to his own devices. And despite there being no evidence to the contrary, nothing to prove that Matthew is a changed man, Karrie’s father sees no issue with Matthew inhabiting his daughter’s home.

It’s a good thing her brownstone has plenty of space. Except—wait, spoke too soon. In the midst of giving Matthew a tour of his new home, Karrie is horrified to discover that her decorator deliberately misunderstood her instructions. Instead of turning the entire third floor into a man cave to house Matthew in his own private quarters, well away from her own second floor bedroom, her office was turned into a bedroom for Matthew, which sits directly across the hall from her own. No worries—it’s a nonissue because, once again, Karrie has no backbone to speak of, letting it slide right off her shoulders.

After the tour is finished, Matthew proceeds to shove his foot in his mouth, as he's wont to do.

“I noticed the fridge is empty downstairs, so I’ll make a list and you can go and pick up the things I’ll need.”

Finally, Karrie finds some semblance of a backbone and tells Matthew, in no uncertain terms, that she’s his chaperone, not his personal assistant, thank you very much.

Unsurprisingly, Matthew ignores her feelings, brushing aside everything she has to say. He tells her to chill—babe, and follows it up by issuing an order because he’s hungry and ready to go eat.

“Babe, change, yeah?”



Matthew's like an overgrown man-child or an annoying puppy—constantly yapping and barking to get his way. Not that he has to work hard at it, seeing as how Karrie's a pushover. She lets Matthew order her around, make all the decisions. He barges into her room without knocking. He dictates their sleeping arrangements, despite her objections, and starts sleeping in her bed, uninvited. He refuses to let her speak to anyone of the opposite sex, more or less. He won’t even let her leave the house without him, constantly keeping tabs on her like a creepy stalker. He even handcuffs her to the bed for four days, and all because he wasn’t invited on her four-day mini-vacation to Mexico. And when she’s forced to meet his parents for the first time, Karrie decides the occasion calls for a new dress. But Matthew, being Matthew, locks her purse, phone, and wallet in the hotel safe because, apparently, she can’t be trusted to go shopping on her own.

I love a good, strong, alpha male as well as the next reader, but not when he’s so over-the-top that he becomes a parody of himself.

From then on, it was one yawn inducing scene after another. I could’ve done without the play-by-play hockey scenes, especially considering they were told in the driest manner possible. And as if that weren’t enough, when they weren’t at the arena, all Karrie and Matthew did was eat, sleep, and have sex. And it was boring sex, at that.



And then, because the plot had nothing else driving it, random conflicts would arise, seemingly out of nowhere. Like when, out of the blue, Matthew was arrested under the accusation of rape. A conflict that was resolved so fast as to render it pointless. When a random, unnamed woman accused Matthew of beating and raping her the night before, Karrie just so happened to have video on her phone of Matthew sleeping during the time the supposed crime took place. How convenient.



I found it ironic that the same man who didn’t raise nary a protest about his daughter living with NHL’s disgraced playboy extraordinaire also happened to be the same man who was more than willing to believe Matthew was guilty of rape.

Something So Perfect was one of the most predictable, watered down romances I’ve encountered in a long, long while. It was rife with telling instead of showing, with plot development kept to a minimum. I didn't feel any attachment toward the characters. I found them to be bland, one-dimensional clichés who lacked both depth and substance. Furthermore, the romance was too rushed, too unbelievable. There was also hardly any conflict, and what little there was, was easily overcome. As a result, I wasn’t invested in the characters, the plot, or the romance.

I needed a Silly Time… But maybe this was Too Silly

💥 Insta-Lust at Full Volume
I was asking for a silly time, and this was silly… but perhaps too silly at times.
My issues with this book actually started in Chapter 2, where the insta-lust arrived in full bloom from both MCs.
I don’t mind insta-lust, but considering she was supposed to be his “chaperone,” and he was supposed to be a reformed playboy in progress, it was a bit hard to swallow.
Add to that the fact that they kissed on day one… and it just went downhill from there. 😬

😏 Mathew’s Charm… And Bulldozer Energy
I like Mathew and his flirty sass, but he kind of bulldozed over what was supposed to be her job.
It genuinely felt like everyone was setting them up instead of enforcing any real boundaries or helping him get his focus back.
And it didn’t help that Karrie didn’t really have a plan or take her role seriously, and she crumbled like a fresh cookie the moment it got wet (yes… pun still intended). 🍪😅

📝 Editing? Umm….
I realise this is one of Natasha Madison’s very early books, and I was met with the glaring realisation of how much it needed an editor.
Also, her habit of repeating the last couple of lines of dialogue from one POV at the start of the next chapter?
Yeah… that started way earlier in her bibliography than I expected. And time and again I’ve mentioned how this isn’t something I enjoy in her books.

And lastly, well, I wanted some push and shove… some tension, some friction.
All I got was… shove.

This book was just brilliant.



I 've been dying for Matthews book. He's so gorgeous very cocky super sexy and plays ice hockey what more could you want. I loved how Matthew was with Kerrie the way they met was so good they both kept each other on there toes. Everything he gave she gave him back just as much. The story was so good it had my laughing at parts Matthew and Karrie are so funny. This is one thing I like about this authors books. I would highly recommend this book it was brilliant. Sorry about the small review 😘😘😘

I was completely in the mood to read a story like this, a sport themed, fun, low angst but sexy read.

Matthew Grant is the son of Cooper and Parker from Something So Right but of course he is all grown up now and playing professional ice hockey, just like Cooper did. He found fame at a very young age and lived the cliched life of partying hard and sleeping with puck bunnies.

After one too many times of getting himself in trouble, his career began to dive bomb and his future as a player was on thin ice ← intentional pun ☺ He is lucky enough to be offered another opportunity to play professionally again but with one condition, he will have a 24 hour chaperone.

Matthew has a lot to prove so willingly goes along with this signing condition. Should be easy right? Wrong! His chaperone is Karrie Cooney, a very young and beautiful woman who has his mind and body wanting to go places they have no business going to.

You know how some people have that insta-love moment? Some people say that when you meet the person who is meant to be, you will just know it. There will be nothing you can do about changing your path to each other if you are meant to meet. Okay, well this is what happens when Matthew meets Karrie.

The attraction is blinding and mutual, the desire is instantaneous and that is before they even speak to each other. These two are going to be spending all of their time together, under the same roof and they are supposed to keep it strictly professional. Matthew is not going to make it easy for Karrie, he wants her and is blatant in his flirtation and attempts to have her.

The banter between them is fantastic, Matthew has never met a girl like Karrie. She doesn’t care about his fame or reputation, she gets to know the side of him that only his family knows. It’s a side that has her liking him more and more each day.

When the attraction between them becomes too much to ignore they throw caution to the wind and indulge in each other. When I said indulge I really meant to say feast. They are ravenous for each other and they practically rip each other’s clothes off in a sexual haze. As exciting as this all is, Karrie is very aware that she has likely breached her contract as his chaperone. Matthew has a very public side to his life and if it got out that they had blurred the lines in their professional relationship, there would be huge consequences for both of them.

The other part of Matthew being so well known is that even when he is on his best behaviour there are people out to get their five minutes of fame, even if it means lying to do so. Has Karrie got what it takes to be with a guy who not only comes with a big reputation but will always be under such public scrutiny? Is it worth risking everything for something so perfect?

A little bit of drama, a hawt dominant, and slightly neurotic overprotective alpha with a smart, bold, sassy woman to put him in his place tells a story of sweet love with humorous situations and dialogues.

Unfortunately, this time I found it hard to bear the slightly 'over the top' alpha no matter the situations that were funny, cute...

so, this is definitely a case of "it's not you, It's me" scenario...

and well, I'm fine with it...but that doesnt mean that it would be the same case for you, too!

💯This was enjoyable for the most part. The h was extremely immature she reminded me of a toddler. None of her fake bravado or fighting her feelings for the H came across as anything but juvenile.

‼️She was in her 20’s, really rich, proximate dad, gorgeous and smart yet she hadn’t even had a BF or sex and didn’t know what second base was! Really! Her BFF was very sexual and aggressive about it and yet this girl seemed to be living under a rock. Didn’t add up and it pissed me off.

‼️Micheal was such a manwhores he said he fucked a different girl every night for 6-7 years!!! Really! That’s a lot. Do authors sit down and really think about what that equates to? THOUSANDS OF WOMAN AND ONS!!!!! That’s gross. And of course he gets a V who doesn’t know 2nd base!?

💯Honestly this is such a turn off and I’m over this trope. So far in this whole series and the series related the woman have at least had some experience to off balance the hockey manwhores.

All in all Micheal won me over but I couldn’t get past his diseased dick or the complete immaturity of the h.

In a very short amount of time, Natasha Madison has become one of my GO TO authors for all things sports and comedic romance. She pulled me in with her smart and hilarious writing and kept me in her orbit with her upcoming release of SOMETHING SO PERFECT. The best way to describe Matthew and Karrie's story, is that it's an EMOTIONAL SCORCHER of a romance. There is definitely some hilarity weaved in, but not as much as I'm used to with her, which actually worked for me. I was craving a more emotional connection with Madison's characters, and with SOMETHING SO PERFECT, I received just that. She knows how to make her readers laugh. She knows how to make her readers feel, and for being so new to the game, I can't believe how far this author has come in such a small amount of time.

If you LOVE romances with an ALPHA hero and a SPITFIRE heroine, SOMETHING SO PERFECT is the romance for you. The hilarious and flirtatious banter will HIT you right in the gut. The sexual tension will make you blush for days. The journey to their happily ever after will fill your heart so full, it will stay with you long after the last page has turned. Matthew and Karrie were just PERFECT together! The push and pull, the electricity between them just sparked up the pages. I'm not sure the smile left my face at any point in this book. Sassy meets incredibly ALPHA in the second installment of Natasha's Something So Series. I'm ashamed to say I haven't read the first book in this series, but that's okay, because they can be read as standalones. Reading this one first, just made me even more excited to dive into the start of the series. I'm not going to say much because I don't want to spoil anything for you, but the ending of this book sets us up for what's to come in this series, and oh boy...the next couple in the rink is sure to surprise the HELL out of you. A sexy and ultra-Alpha hockey player, a strong and sassy heroine, plus the hilarious banter between these characters make this story totally delectable. You are not wanna miss Something So Perfect.




Matthew Grant was perhaps given too much, too soon, and now he has a reputation as the bad boy of hockey. He messed up enough times that we was let go from his team, but his incredible talent doesn't go unnoticed for long, and another team wants to hire him but not without a few conditions.

Karrie has had everything she could possibly want. But now that she's graduated from college with honors, she wants to start her career on her own merits, but her father has other plans. Her dad has recently hired Matthew Grant to play for their team but he needs someone to watch out for him so he doesn't get into any trouble, and that pesky job has fallen into Karrie's hands. She's not to thrill to accept her father's proposition, but she recognizes the big opportunity it represents for her future career.

Matthew is not too happy to have somebody breathing on his neck, but when he meets Karrie; a gorgeous girl who's not willing to put up with his BS he is smitten.

Matthew and Karrie have an explosive relationship, they are both very strong characters. Matthew is a sexy overbearing caveman and Kerrie is sassy, smart and very strong willed. Every aspect of their relationship is highly passionate, making this book super entertaining.

The media won't make it easy on Matthew to get his second chance but lucky for him he has the most amazing, and supportive family and team behind him.

If you like intense romance and sports themed stories, this is the book for you. You will laugh and swoon in the arms of a very delicious alpha male.

WOW.... great book :) quick and safe love story.


I LOVE HOW THE HEROINE AND HERO BOTH go along with their situations of liking each other in secret but still loyal and only have eyes for each other. EVEN THE HEROINE try to push the hero away but the hero never gave up and do bad stuff. THE HERO not only a caveman but A TRUE MAN :)


- THE HERO have a past like always partying and wild stuff and have woman’s but the changed when he meet the heroine at the time and he also was going through a difficult career situation so he needs to change before he falls apart.

- THE HEROINE was celibate for a while and only have s*x with one person. THE HERO was also celibate and not with anyone for a long time. NO EX PARTNERS EVER SHOW UP.

4.5 OTT Alpha Stars

OMG! This book really cracked me up. Although I knew what to expect, Mathew still caught me off guard. His OTT alpha antics were HILARIOUS!!




Here's what I loved:
I don't think it's a secret at this point. Mathew was the highlight of the story for me. I also really enjoyed his background story. The relationship he has with his mom and step-dad is so sweet. I adored all their family interactions.
The secondary characters are all amazing. Gah, hearing #asshat again had me spewing my coke across the room!! I was laughing out loud nearly the entire book. Natasha Madison really has a knack for romantic comedy. It's very impressive.
The relationship development between Mathew and Karrie was a definite win. Although he bulldozes her at every turn, she has no problem trying to keep in check. Fortunately, his alpha-hole tendencies often win out in the end.
And last, but certainly not least!! The steamy bits were exceptional.



I loved these two together, particularly the fact that Mathew made no bones about the fact that he wanted to build something special with Karrie. It was a real win all the way around. Loved it!

The overall plot and story progression were excellent. This is an excellent romantic comedy and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys OTT alphas.

Audiobook review: The audible version is narrated By Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel. I enjoyed the audiobook. I did have to speed up the narration up a little bit, but other than that. No complaints. I'd definitely recommend this version.

Something So Perfect is a sexy instalove sports romance. Overall, it's a lighter listen/read, even though the book starts off with a bit of a bombshell. This is book 2 in the Something So series, but it can be read as a standalone.

I had a love/hate relationship with Matthew. He was caring and concerned, but often took things to caveman extremes. The instalove between him and Karrie didn't bother me, but the constant possessive and controlling behavior did. Also troubling was Karrie's reaction to the behavior. She would talk a big game about being independent and in charge of her own life, but then almost always would yield to Matthew's desires and wishes. Yes, it created some very comical situations (ie: the senior chair lift - LOL!), but for the most part, it was just too much. I also felt like the bomb thrown in the prologue could have been addressed more fully. There didn't seem to be a true resolution besides removing it from the hero/heroine's lives. I did think that the epilogue was perfect though and showed a softer side to Matthew and it left me with a smile on my face.

Melissa Moran and Joe Hempel did a great job narrating and I enjoyed both their performances. They were able to be both sexy and hilarious and really brought Matthew and Karrie to life. This is my first Natasha Madison book, but after finishing this one, I'm intrigued enough about Cooper and Parker (Matthew's parents) to want to know how the story began in Something So Right. Overall, this was an enjoyable low angst and steamy sports romance.

Well I am officially a Natasha Madison fan. Where do I line up to get my badge and membership card? I got Something So Right free from another authors newsletter and it sounded fun so I read it. Then I checked out the next book in the series to see it was Matthew all grown up into the bad boy of hockey. So obviously I one clicked it and it was even better than the first one.

And I really expected this to be all about Matthew for me but I loved Karrie. She was so secure in herself and I enjoyed watching her fight against Matthews over protective alphaness. And her rants to herself whenever he would annoy her with it.

But I would be lying if I didn't say Matthew was everything I hoped for and a little more. I was a little nervous that his bad boy reputation was going to roll over into the present and cause issues. So I was one happy little moo shoo when I realised almost immediately that we were meeting with the Matthew who had learnt from his past and grown up.

The chemistry was scorching and the banter had me smiling like an idiot the whole time I was reading. I was so wrapped up in everything I didn't put it down and I am going straight off to see what the hell is going on in the next book because leaving us with that teaser for Allison and Max is just killing me.

4 alpha caveman stars!

I loved this book! A funny, sweet and sexy sports romance with an alpha caveman, a strong and feisty heroine with a habit of talking to herself, and a functional and angst-free love story that had me alternately swooning, grinning goofily and fanning myself at the hotness. This read was a lot of fun but still had a beautifully emotional love story, and I read it in a day, struggling to put it down.

This book follows on from Something So Right, but could be read as a standalone (just be aware that there is some family backstory – though the important bits are rehashed). This is the story of Matthew Grant – we met him as the strong, big-hearted teenager of a single mother who married an NHL legend – and he is now an NHL legend in his own right, but for all the wrong reasons.

Matthew was drafted into the league at 17, and he lost himself to the party lifestyle, which eventually impacted his game and saw him almost lose his career. Now, several years later he is getting his second chance, but with his new team desperate to protect their investment, they appoint him a full-time guardian. Matthew is highly unimpressed at this development, but is even more shocked when he finds that his ‘babysitter’ isn’t a burly old man like he expected, but instead is a hot young woman whose smart mouth and refusal to give in to him has him riled up in a way he’s never been before. And, she’s the boss’s daughter.

Karrie’s father owns Matthew’s team (among other things). She is working her way up in his company, specialising in media and public relations, and so she’s horrified that she’s now going to be babysitting an arrogant, manwhoring brat. She believes she can ignore how gorgeous he is, and the way her body reacts to him, but her one attempt at sex didn’t go so well, and her pent-up need and curiosity has her feeling edgy, and when Matthew moves into her brownstone being all demanding and alpha, it doesn’t take long before everything changes.

I loved this relationship! I was expecting a slow burn as these two strong personalities snark and banter with each other, but their attraction is too strong, their chemistry sizzles, and Matthew moves with the force of a tidal wave. He knows what he wants, he goes for it, and he won’t take no for an answer.

“This, me, you. It’s happening. I’m going to kiss you,” I tell her, running my tongue out while I kiss her neck. “I’m going to come home and come to your bed. Or you can come to mine, but” – I kiss her lips again – “Make no mistake about it. This thing is happening.”

Of course, Karrie, though a little wary, is only too keen to go along with it, and then it’s all on! It’s quick moving, but it felt realistic to me. Matthew and Karrie are together 24/7, and that kind of intensity allows for a fast-paced relationship, and with the attraction and emotion that is brewing between them, I could feel it all along with them.

This woman … has embedded herself in me and I have no idea how I lived without her.

Their relationship is a great mix of banter and teasing, scorchingly hot sexy time and sweet moments. Matthew’s caveman antics, while sometimes OTT, are so funny, and I love how openly he embraces the whole relationship thing – opening himself up for the first time, and holding nothing back from Karrie. And the emotion builds beautifully.

“You look at me and see me. That makes you worth everything.”

There are some things they need to overcome – mostly, the secretive nature of their relationship, given that they work together and who Karrie’s father is. And then there’s the dramatic twist that’s thrown in in the prologue. You know it’s coming, and you’re waiting for it to hit, wondering how it’s all going to come about and how it will impact on their story. But for the most part, this book is drama and angst free, and a really easy read. It’s a gorgeous love story with great characters that is lots of fun, and shows us lots of time with them together as a couple, and great progression for their relationship.

“Every breath I take is for you.”

Matthew’s parents, Cooper and Parker from Something So Right, are of course a part of the story, and I loved catching up with them and their family. And Lauren and Austin from Tempt the Boss also make an appearance, which I loved! There is a lead in to the next book of the series which will be Allison’s – Matthew’s feisty younger sister – and OMG, what a twist that was! I can’t wait for her story!

I loved this book. It’s lots of fun, and I loved losing myself in a hot, swoony, easy, drama-free read that had me hooked from start to finish. And bonus – there’s not one, but two fantastic epilogues! Woohoo!

The story left me hooked from start to finish and really enjoyed it.
He's just a guy lost in the midst of fame and many easy women and when he finds our heroine he becomes a man-centered and that finds a purpose in his life.
I found the animosity of Max a little over the top, and the rape charge without solution.
I was wondering if I had missed any part of the reading and even went back to make sure, but in the end I think it was hook to the next story is about the hero's sister and Max. I hope that come the explanation in that book.
Recommend!

This is the 4th book I have read by Natasha Madison, and as always, I enjoyed it overall.

Matthew and Karrie are thrown together as Matthew has some issues with being properly behaved when not on the ice, and Karrie is the boss's daughter and an excellent candidate to work as a chaperone, as her father puts it, in an entry level position. Needless to say, this is not the position she sees for herself.

Karrie was interesting, and I liked her. I liked the relationship she had with the people in her life, with her friends, and how she cared about them fully. I liked that she was willing to put herself on the line for them, to step out of her comfort zone. She was interesting, and she was funny.

Matthew, however, seemed a little uneven to me. At times he was incredibly intense and mature, and other times he came across as really young. I know, this is true life, people don't always react perfectly to each situation, but for some reason, this made the story seem a little unbalanced.

I also had the same issue with the situation at the beginning and the quick resolution of it...I thought the build up of the event was not balanced with the resolution.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and the characters and I was able to relate to them, mostly. I do recommend this title, and I will definitely read this author's next title.

Something So Perfect was a nice,funny and hot read.

I've read every story written by Natasha Madison since her debut and I've liked every single one of them and this is no exception.
I've enjoyed it and I've "oohed" and "aahed" everytime an old Madison's character makes an appearance.

Matthew is at times too intense and extreme in his actions but he is a good guy at heart,he is only scared to lose the people he cares for. Karrie is so feisty and I liked how she tries to stand up to our hero,starting some epic banters and sexy scenes.

I loved the epilogue and can't wait to read the next installment in this series.

Something So Perfect by Natasha Madison was just that, perfect. Something So Perfect was hilarious, it was sexy, it was about a hockey player bad boy and it had a kick ass heroine. I read have read this one twice already. For me to read an ARC twice BEFORE it releases is something because I am usually so busy I don’t have the time to do that. I made time to read Something So Perfect again because I honestly loved it that much.

Matthew is over the top caveman and I LOVED that about him. He went for what he wanted and what he wanted was Karrie. I loved how he didn’t back down, how he made it known to her that it was happening between them whether Karrie wanted to admit it or not. Could he drive a nun to smother him in his sleep? Yeah but it worked for him. He was hot. He was sexy. He was funny. He was sweet. Most importantly of all he was perfect for Karrie. Since I have been told I can’t lick him to claim him *grumbles and growls at Natasha Madison* I will love him from a distance.

Karrie is sassy. She is feisty. She is a bit nuts but in a great way. She balances Matthew out in the best possible way. She can tamed his caveman antics and he can get her to melt. I loved how she stood by him, protected him, and when needed put him in his place. Even when he drove her nuts she loved him and that right there is something that is rare even in real life.

I devoured Something So Perfect both times I read it. I laughed, I called Matthew a caveman a time or ten, I cheered Karrie on while jealous at the same time. Natasha Madison did something perfect when she wrote Something So Perfect and this is a book I will be reading again and again. Make sure Something So Perfect is on your TBR lists because this is one you don’t want to miss!

3.5 YOU'RE MY MISSING PIECE CROWNS

It was really hard for me to rate this book. There are so many aspects that I love, but then there are many that are too extreme to me. Overall, it is an incredibly enjoyable read for lovers of insta-lust/insta-love stories.

The story follows Matt and Karrie as he makes his comeback to hockey. Matt is the standard alpha-jock hero. He knows what or more who he wants, and chases it without pause. There are moments when it became extreme, almost too much. What makes these moments more extreme is the heroine's response to it all. She isn't weirded out or concerned about his behavior. Now, there are also moments where his protectiveness and ownership is hot and endearing, it just went too far sometimes. At the end of the story, it is clear that he is a man driven to protect those he loves, even if he gets a tad crazy doing it. His love interest Karrie is a mix of smart and independent female, but there are many moments when she just caves to him, negating the fierce independent woman she just portrayed. Readers will enjoy her dedication and loyalty to Matt, and her sassiness when dealing with him.

This story moves very quickly. They meet. They lust. They love. The quick pace of their relationship is not bad, but there are many parts that are glossed over. The most important being the part of plot the author drops readers in on at the beginning of the story. Any conflict, real or potential, just kind of falls away without any kind of lasting impact. The ending, though, is perfect, and the plot drop at the end has me wanting the next book.

Something so Perfect is quick, sexy, and fun. With little to no hard-hitting conflict, readers get an easy and fun read to pass the time.

This series is by far one of my absolute favorites. This is a re-read for me, and I loved it even more, the second time around.

I absolutely loved Cooper in the first book. Matthew is right there with him. My heart breaks for him with how he was treated by his father. But he had Cooper. He acts just like Cooper and I love it! I love the relationship he has with his mom and siblings as well.

Karrie is also just perfect. She's exactly the type of female MC I love. She takes no crap, constantly gives it back, but loves with everything she has. I loved how she, at times called Parker to complain about Matthew.

I can't even begin to explain how much I laughed throughout this book. But I also cried. I cried when Matthew got raw with his emotions. He was a little scarred by what his dad did to him and his mom and sister. I'm so glad he found his person.

And let's not discuss the amazing epilogue that had me in tears, but then the bonus epilogue 6 years later that had me laughing my butt off. It's also a segway into the next book, which will be another amazing re-read no doubt!!
