That was all that the woman would share when Delta team’s expert trigger man, an Australian named Ryder, pulled her from the pits of a human trafficking nightmare and took the gun from her hand.
He didn’t mean to steal her revenge but survival was the priority. Now that Victoria was home? She had a past he was trying to understand while keeping a secret from her that might tear her apart.
But he’s not the only one. When she goes missing, Delta team discovers that Victoria No Name was a one-woman vigilante force, taking on whoever crossed her path, from gun runners to a drug pushing motorcycle club.
She was exactly who Ryder thought she might be, and now he was coming in to help—whether she wanted backup or not.
Cristin Harber is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling romance author. She writes sexy romantic suspense, military romance, and new adult. Fans voted her onto Amazon's Top Picks for Debut Romance Authors in 2013, and her debut Titan series was both a #1 romantic suspense and #1 military romance bestseller.
Each Titan and Delta book can be read as a standalone (except for Sweet Girl), but readers will likely best enjoy the series in order. The Only series must be read in order.

4.5 stars We met the mysterious Victoria Massey in Locke and Key as she was rescued by Delta and Titan from a Russian sex trafficker. But now we get to know her story, her career, and how she ended up being abducted. She has always thought she was tough and skilled in her own right, but being taken and what she endured messed with her head.
After being rescued, she and Ryder Hall forge an attachment. She is lost, ashamed, and feels helpless. He is her charming, protective rescuer and savior. He just wants to keep her safe and help her heal. And that grows into trust, friendship, attraction, and need. Ryder is part of the Ghost Delta Team and is used to not having attachments. He was an orphan and is a loner, and the only person he ever connected closely with is gone.
Eventually Victoria can't hide out anymore and has to go home to her small town of Sweet Hill. But the the criminal activity lurking around and her inquisitiveness might put her right back in harm's way. And she is not usually the type of girl to ask for help...even if she now has some good men who would take her back. Trouble follows her, but now Ryder does to. He has no intention of losing someone else he cares about.
This is her story of seeking justice, vengeance, and redemption. This is full of danger, action, suspense with Russians, MC, black ops, trafficking, guns, drugs, and small town drama. There is a lot going on and a lot of players. At a personal level it is about acceptance, trust, and a bond. They both have ugly pasts, intense jobs, and need an anchor and purpose. She is a woman who does not mind being saved, but also likes to participate and do her part. She does not want to be weak and afraid, but wants to be strong and help others. And Ryder is man enough to want to protect her, but also allows her to be brave and trusts her to help keep herself safe. I liked both of them separately and together. They had great chemistry and rapport, and a connection forged in a traumatic experience that made it more intense.
This brings back a bunch of Delta and Titan members. Her best friend, Seven, is also featured and is quite a firecracker. I found this one easy to get sucked into since it spins off from the last Titan book, Locke and Key. I was already curious about Victoria and Ryder. I am looking forward to the next Titan book, Jax as we keep getting teased by him and his attitude. And the girl that seems like a possible target is not going to go down easily.
Victoria No Name survived her nightmare experience being kidnapped and made a victim of a human trafficking ring. Rescued by Delta, she finds herself battling conflicting feelings about her decisions during the final standoff with her captor. Ryder knows there is something about Victoria that pulls him in, more than any other victim he has ever worked with. Rather than wanting to help her find her way home, he wants to help her in her healing process rather than send her on her way.
I had been curious about the circumstances of Victoria’s kidnapping and didn’t have to wait long for answers. The storyline picks up prior to the rescue, and readers learn what happened to set the stage for her capture.
Victoria proved to be an interesting character facing questions about her own capabilities in a field she had previously been confident in. She is stubborn, curious, and finds an inner strength she never knew she had.
Ryder is conflicted as well, but more about what his feelings for Victoria mean in relation to his past. As a Delta team member, he fits their work hard, play hard mentality, though has done less playing during down time than some of his other teammates.
This had a great pace. It felt realistic for the healing process and aftereffects of the ordeal she faced. At the same time the present day story progresses, Ryder’s past is revealed in flashback chapters. I loved the insight these chapters gave to the man Ryder became and the secrets he was hiding from those around him.
I loved the way Delta and Titan circled around Victoria as she healed, sharing their own stories as needed to help her cope. This is a group that knows how to let people heal in their own time and their own ways. This series builds off each other perfectly. I remember being curious about Victoria and Ryder at the end of the previous book, and here I am anticipating Jax’s book even as I have just finished Redemption.
I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Cristin Harber’s books used to be like crack for me, though I’ve got to admit that I’ve been disappointed in them as the Titan series grows. Harber does write good suspense; everything that involves Titan is typically drawn out, fairly complex and what they do actually rolls out hypothetical scenarios that aren’t too hard to envision coming true of late. ‘Delta: Redemption’ is Victoria/Ryder’s book, 2 secondary characters that I’d long forgotten about in Harber’s previous book, but it wasn’t hard to get caught up in the hostile Russian conspiracy in middle-America and the shady link to the brutal world of human trafficking.
I liked the start of the story, as Cristin Harber portrayed a victim of circumstances and rape who’d lost her self-confidence and her perceived standing in her small-town community. Both Ryder and Victoria’s connection was…for the want of a better word…a sympathetic one which I thought I could relate to. Both had lost something/someone and Harber certainly writes that soul-deep connection between the both of them especially well as Victoria was recovering from her ordeal.
But it went downhill for me from that point onwards and yes, was Victoria herself who rubbed me the wrong way. Upfront, I felt the problem was her TSTL behaviour that proved to be the costly catalyst that helped account for the action that happened in the rest of the book. Insisting on going at things alone when she knew full well that she needed help on this was stupidity of epic proportions; going ahead full steam while actually condemning herself--which shows some amount of perception that she wasn't doing it right--for keeping things secret made it worse.
The need for revenge is always explained away as a lone-wolf, bloodthirsty, cannot-be-ignored trait and it’s simply reiterated here with her PTSD seemed swept under the rug with a softly-softly approach that Titan gave her, as did her friend Seven, ironically proving exactly what she never wanted others to think of her from the start: helpless when it came to crunch time yet having no issues eluding and deceiving when it suited her, only to lead Titan/Delta to her rescue a second time.
I’m all for assertion of independence, though all too often it’s done without thought, which then crosses the line straight into idiocy for me. ‘Delta: Redemption’ was to say the least, a read that didn’t go down too well, though clearly, what I ranted above has been one of my personal beefs for a long time. I couldn’t stop my eye-rolling for a long time, but as I’ve always said, just because it didn’t go too well for me, doesn’t mean it wouldn’t for others as well. In fact, I’m quite happy to say the opposite, in fact, happens.
DELTA: REDEMPTION is a great addition to this series, even though it had a few surprises. If you've read Locke and Key, then you've met Victoria Massey and pretty much know her story. But DELTA: REDEMPTION takes it a step further by giving us the details of what happens before and after Locke and Key. I've got to say that this story was gut-wrenching and almost too much for me in some places and I had to skim through the details of her experience at the beginning, so I can only imagine the toll it took on the author during her research.
Victoria has always prided herself on being strong, smart and savvy and being abducted and trafficked almost destroyed her, but Ryder Hall was her lifeline from the moment she was rescued and kept her from mentally breaking down. Also surprising after her experience is that he makes her feel things she was afraid she never would again, but between their jobs and locations, they can be nothing more than ships passing in the night. Or can they?
Ryder has seen a lot of ugliness in his life and is in need of an anchor in his life. In the midst of the ugliness they find when they rescue Victoria and the other women, a bond forms between them and she becomes his anchor, a warrior able to take of herself and other, but still willing to accept help. Ryder respects and trusts her abilities, even though he would rather slay her dragons for her.
Well, Victoria has got to return to her life at some point and she's hellbent on justice against everyone that took part in her abduction, but her crusade could land back in the hands of her abductors. This time she has the might of the Titan Group at her back and her fight against the traffickers is one that has support from an unlikely source.
Both Victoria and Ryder were very interesting characters, but I liked the easy bond they formed, two lone wolves who became each other's port in a storm. I had a few reservations about Victoria and her propensity to rush headlong into danger, but I can't fault her for caring as much as she did.
It was fun catching up with the rest of the team and their families and I am looking forward to reading more in this series.
Disclaimer: I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely mine.
There are few authors whose new books make me twitchy to get my hands on them. Cristin Harber is one of them. And getting to read a review copy of Delta: Redemption is the most exciting thing - reading-wise - to happen to me all year!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep saying it...no one does romantic military suspense better than Cristin Harber. She mixes the perfect blend of humor, heat and action into every single book. Her heroes are macho and manly, the heroines are kick-butt, and the plots move so fast it’s hard to put the Kindle down.
Delta: Redemption is another fantastic addition to the Delta series. While the Titan Series tends to focus more on the Titan men and their black-ops missions, I’ve noticed the Delta Series tends to focus a little more heavily on the women and their story. There’s still plenty of the awesomeness that is the Delta team, but these books introduce us to some seriously kick ass women.
Victoria Massey is a young, early twenties, bounty hunter. In her spare time, she teaches young children self-defense, and is well known and well liked in her small Iowa town. So when she ends up getting abducted, and handed over as a gift to the head of a sex trafficking ring, it messes with her in more ways than one. Because how could she let that happen to herself?
Ryder Hall is Australian (which automatically makes him sexy, right?!), and one of the younger members of the Delta team. He was there when Victoria was pulled out of hell in Russia. (FYI - this book doesn’t cover that mission of Delta’s, but if you’d like to read about it, you can in Delta: Rescue: A MacKenzie Family Novella. It’s another great book by Cristin Harber!) Now that he has her back and safely ensconced at Colby and Mia Winters’s home, he’s drawn to her, and maybe feeling more than a little guilty that he had a part in letting the man who was head of the trafficking ring live.
Both Victoria and Ryder have pasts that haunt them and fuel their actions of today. For Victoria, she has a need to prove she’s not the same as her parents. And Ryder, he has a need to right the wrongs that have been left unanswered for. As two “lone wolves” they aren’t used to depending on others, but when Victoria manages to get herself in over her head - again - she knows Ryder is her best bet on getting out alive.
I can’t emphasize just how much I love the Titan and Delta men. These Delta men all seem to have some sort of tortured past that compels them to right the wrongs of society. I love that amongst the team, falling in love with a woman isn’t frowned upon. No one is trying to talk them out of being in a committed relationship, and when their women get into trouble, the whole team is behind them to save the day. They are the ultimate in swoony heros, and I can’t get enough of them.
Really, I can’t get enough of Cristin Harber. I know, without a doubt, she’s going to deliver on a fast paced, action-packed story filled with humorous dialogue. I love her characters, I love her writing, I love her stories. And even though I just got a Cristin Harber fix, I’m already looking forward to reading her next book.
OMG! EXPLOSIVE! This story gets you from the beginning! This book kept me on the edge of my seat! I love the story of Ryder & Victoria. She is definitely a Titan woman through & through. And to impress Sugar is very intriguing to see. I was happy to see both groups working together. FANTASTIC job Cristin! I would highly recommend this book.
Cristin Harber has hit it out of the park again. Delta and Titan, an MC. Stuff blowing up, girls being freed from Russians. It doesn't get any better than this. Except a reunion of Javier and his lost sister.
*trigger warning: this book deals with hints of rape and recovery from it*
I haven’t been drawn into a romantic suspense book like Delta: Redemption since my days of reading Suzanne Brockmann’s books. While I’m brand new to the prolific world that Cristin Harber has created around the Titan Group, I recognized right away that I’d found a series (and author) that would scratch that itch that Brockmann did for so many years.
At 325 pages, Redemption is filled with everything that a reader looks for in a romantic suspense novel: action and a beautiful love story. Harber kept me on the edge of my seat from almost the first page to the last, my heart racing as the book edged towards its conclusion.
So…
What I liked:
**I think every reader can relate to Victoria. Right away I recognized how strong she was despite her age. At 22, she’s an accomplished bounty hunter and PI who goes all-out to prove to her hometown of Sweet Hills, that she’s worthy of their admiration and trust. But when she’s victimized by a human trafficking ring, she loses confidence in herself. Her journey towards learning to trust herself again is something anyone of us can understand and has probably gone through even if we hadn’t been kidnapped and raped.
**Ryder is a dream. A quiet Alpha that is rock steady as he helps Victoria find her way back, he’s got his own secrets and heartache. He’s looking for acceptance as much as she is, but his story is much more subtle in its revelation.
**The romance between these two was… mature. I know that sounds boring, but they weren’t boring in any sense of the word. There’s much said about their ages, but their road to happily ever after is filled with respect as much as it’s filled with chemistry and affection.
**The action is fantastic and plays out visually on paper. I was continuously in awe of the intricate plot which included Russian bad guys, outlaw motorcycle clubs, gun-running, and a variety of government organizations getting in everyone’s way.
What I didn’t like:
Delta: Redemption follows about a gazillion books in Cristin Harber’s Titan Group series and spinoffs and more books written by other authors in the Titan World. I haven’t read any of the previous books. And, while it’s said you could read this as a standalone, there’s just too much of the series as a whole woven into Redemption, including some big plot points. I often felt like I was missing part of the story, which I was. This led to more moments of confusion than I would’ve liked and it took away from the overall experience.
4 stars for Delta: Redemption. Heat level: 3
I received a copy of Delta: Redemption from InkSlingerPR and the author in exchange for honest feedback.
5 roller coaster riding stars for DELTA: REDEMPTION!
Victoria Massey is a badass. A bounty hunter, PI and self-defense instructor, Victoria is absolutely blindsided when she's kidnapped by a Russian sex trafficking group. After a month of being held in captivity in Russia, Victoria is rescued by Delta Team's Ryder Hall, who, to his surprise, feels an instant connection to this savage woman who put the other women's needs above her own during captivity. Victoria is terrified to go back to Iowa, and Ryder is all too happy to keep her in Virginia with him and his teammates, especially as the two become closer. But Victoria's ordeal is far from over, and it'll take Ryder, Delta and Titan to help her heal completely.
I'm a huge fan of Ms. Harber's books, and DELTA: REDEMPTION ranks right up there with the best! My heart broke for Victoria and her reality as she dealt with the aftermath of captivity. She was such a fierce woman, and Ms. Harber really showed that side of her before, during and after her ordeal. And Ryder...whew! I'm a sucker for an Australian accent, even if I have to make it up in my own head. He was sweet, caring and ohhhh soooo sexy as he tried to help Victoria heal and find her strength. The book was such an overall good read, one that gave me the feels at all levels. My only beef with DELTA: REDEMPTION is the massive levels of editing errors hidden within. Since this book still has a bit of time before release. I'm hopeful that's something that'll be rectified prior to publication.
Bottom Line: No OM/OW or sharing; condom use; no BDSM/kink; sexual assault (not graphic); violence and murder (graphic).
Well wasn't that an awesome adventure, but seriously awesome might not be the right world totally fucked up would be closer, Ryder and Victoria were just meant to be even after everything they have both survived.
He decided she was a warrior, she just wanted to live her life her way and so starts a great love story challenges, revenge and ultimate justice.
Ryder has never really had family except Zoe the one girl he loved and lost but then Victoria comes into his life after he stops her from killing a monster and his team mate he swoops in and saves the girl, falls for the girl and they live happily ever after hahahahaha of course true love never runs smoothly but we hope it all works out in the end.
Ryder is a sweet guy, still an alpha male and a sniper but a real sweetheart. Victoria will be the warrior Ryder sees when she learns to believe in herself and Ryder is the perfect guy to support her in finding herself.
Another awesome Titan/Delta story I just love these guys their stories are powerful and always leave me feeling amazed.
A heart-wrenching, action packed contemporary romance that'll have you on high alert...
Cristin Harber is one of those authors that in my eyes can do no wrong. I have fallen completely and irrevocably in love with every single one of her books and her characters hold a very special place in my heart. I'm going to be honest right here and say that she is one of the two authors that made me go head over heels for the adult/ erotica genre. Prior to that I was a classics girl all the way. The beauty of Cristin's writing is that in fact it does hold so many traits of the classics and greats. You have bold characters that completely exceed your expectations. You have societal issues that are somewhat "taboo" to talk about so publicly and unabashedly. But what really puts her in the same league as Austen and Brontë is the love stories that never take a smooth and straight path, but on the contrary take you through deep valleys and dark quarries, through slippery and rocky riverbeds where your footing is never quite sure— but, in the end, you always get to your destination. Maybe a little ragged and with a few scars, but it just makes that moment all the more joyous and sweet and delicious.
I have to admit that I have been looking forward to Delta: Redemption for forever. Basically since I finished Delta: Revenge way back when. I have been that little puppy sitting by the front door waiting for their master to come home. Trust me, I've been in tail wagging, tongue lolling, ears perked state of wait for ages. Let me tell you, the moment that the Advanced copy of the book hit my kindle, well, it was like life resumed in glorious technicolour and there was a lot of bouncing around and my version of dancing (which is really flailing and jumping to some random rythm in my head). That's how happy just having this book made me, however, when I opened it... Oh. My. God. I was gone from the off. I could not put it down for the life of me. Delta: Redemption is a quick fire bang bang bang... pew pew pew... kind of book. There's none of that set the scene before you actually get to the characters themselves thing that a lot of authors do. Thank goodness! This is instalove at its best. You are pretty much thrown in at the deep end and by the end of chapter 4 you're already completely consumed and in love with Victoria and Ryder.
The plot for Redemption is just divine. In true Cristin style there is action galore. However, what I really loved about this plot though, was the structure. The structure for this story is very similar to Garrison's Creed. You start off with a bang, you have the aftermath where you're left in a perpetual state of WTAF? and then you have the blooming of the love story that weaves itself into the story so expertly that it becomes the drive behind the action. Then once you think that all is happy families and beautiful rainbows... the poop hits the fan! Reading this book has made me crave Garrison's Creed like hell. Not that the story is the same or even the characters, no. It's just that the flow and structure is so similar. Yes, Ryder is a sniper... and he does have a sexy accent that is on parr with Cash's drawl (I think my heart may be popping out of my chest any second now)... BUT, he is hard. He may be soft and loving and caring and hot and... swoooooooon... but make no mistake about it, he is hard and unyielding. He has a darkness that lurks deep down behind all his Aussie charm and bravado. He really is a dark knight. His armour is bright and shiny, impenetrable (or so it seems), but under it there are scars and open wounds that are a complete and utter oxymoron to his shell.
Everyone that knows me, knows that for me Cash and Javier are like... IT. But, Ryder has come along and barraled his way into my little twosome. I just could not get enough of him. This is really where Harber excels for me. She has created a man that is flawed perfection. Seriously... what can a girl do with three guys... you know what? Forget i asked, my mind has actually provided me with a visual answer. Oh. Good. Lord. It nows no boundaries. Breathe in. Hold. Breathe out. Ok, I think it's safe to say that I may love Ryder... just a little (ahem... mahoooosive) bit. However, let me just introduce you to the star of the show... Victoria no lat name...
Victoria. Victoria. Victoria. She is heroine perfection. Again, there were a couple of similarities between her and Nicola (Garrison's Creed)... and Sofia (Delta: Revenge). Although her story is actually more akin to Caterina's (Savage Secrets). She has the whole alpha female thing locked down. Tight. However, what makes her such an exceptional character is her hurt and flaws. To say that she and Ryder are different sides of the same coin is putting it lightly. They are verging on identical when it comes to their characteristics. She is kind, caring, protective and brave. In my book she really is a heroine. I'm no feminist, however, I do believe in female empowerment— that, is exactly what Cristin has done with Victoria. She has forged a female out of heart, fire, tenderness and kindness and inserted a rod of steel. And not in a dirty way.
I can't even function properly when it comes to Delta: Redemption. My head is all over the shop with so much that I need to get out... and it all leads to one thing: EXCEPTIONAL. Cristin has really embodied Titan with this book. In case you don't know— Titan is family. You know, as much as this is Victoria and Ryder's story it also has so many other characters woven into it. I just can't. You know what? Read it for yourself. You will not regret it... and if you haven't met Titan before, get ready to become absolutely and completely obsessed!
Cristin Harber never ceases to amaze me with her books, this one is no different. Each book stands on its own merit and takes the reader on one hell of a wild ride. Ryder is dreamy, and so sweet, talk about being a badass gentleman. I loved how Victoria was a strong woman and although she had something horrific happen to her, she came back fighting and became stronger than ever. Seeing their relationship blossom and grow and be different to the start of most relationships was refreshing and sweet. Lots of action in this book, just how I like it. It was fun seeing the interaction between the Delta boys and the Titan men, both at work and in play.
I cursed Cristin a few times....she should expect this by now lol. (I love her really!) I'll go into more detail on the blog review on Aug 2nd.
4.5. I really enjoyed this one. It was a little all over the place with a lot of issues and people. I also didnt like the end..now this is me but how does he move to iowa with her when he has to always meet with his team? For meetings and even jobs. Dont they all leave together? lol that just bugs me.

Absolutely loved this book! Love Ryder & Victoria 's story! Loved what happened for Javier!!! You will not want to put it down. It is a read on one sitting book!!
This Titan family is growing and getting better and better. I love Ryder’s sexy Aussie attitude and his sweet “love” nickname he calls Victoria. This story is such a true to life subject matter that is hard to imagine that it really happens but Cristin Harber describes this horrific crime in a way that brings out the fierce protectiveness for our young girls in all of us. She has a way with empowering women with realistic confidence and self defense that any one of us can do if we took the training.
This is a love story, no doubt. I couldn’t put this book down. It is a fast read but definitely an in-depth read. I believe Ryder falls in love with Victoria the moment he meets her. We all want a man to be totally in love with us and enhance our vision of happily everafter. Victoria realizes Ryder’s charisma and their sexual chemistry immediately despite the horror she has experienced. This story was perfect for these two people to come together with the help of the Delta and Titan families giving them the support and love they needed. A must read for sure!
I love Cristin Harber's Titan and Delta series! I find for me she always seems to break my heart with the intensity of her storylines but it makes for a fantastic book! But with a broken heart, she always ends up putting it back together in the end! I fell in love with Ryder and Victoria! They are true soul mates and one hell of a story! I think now Ryder is one of my favourites up there with Bossman, Winters, and Cash. Hoping for my girl Seven to get her happily-ever-after! If you love the Titan and Delta series you will not be disappointed in Delta: Redemption!
I’m gonna be right up front and just say it: I’m an unabashed lover of Romantic Suspense. I’m never so happy as when stuff blows up, falls apart, burns down, or is demolished – with extreme prejudice. Preferably carried out in some form of nearly divine retribution by the Hero/Heroine against the Villain. This is why I love me some Cristin Harber Titan books. There’s always amazing and satisfying action!
But since I’m being honest, I feel compelled to say that “Delta: Redemption” doesn’t have as many gun fights, abductions, or contusions as your average Titan novel. And, in the spirit of full disclosure (darn my Honesty!), I also have to admit that I absolutely adore good character development. I’m a sucker for it, actually… and now you know my shameful secret. Pass the cyanide!
Yes, “Redemption” is a little different, and I LOVE it. There is so much feeling in this book, but for those of you – like me – who generally prefer their Romance novels to remind them more of the smell of cordite and flamethrowers than candy and flowers, never fear! There’s still butt kicking and humor. Trust me, you will adore the character, Seven:
“Why, in the name of bad boys who are good men and good men who know how to make you scream bad, bad things, are you not running toward that man?”
(See? You’ll be OK, I promise. Just hang with me here.)
“Redemption” is Victoria and Ryder’s story after everything that happened in the last Delta book. (You don’t have to read it to know what’s going on, but it won’t hurt, either.) This is a survivor’s recovery, but it’s not overly heavy in that vein. Do be advised though, that Victoria was abducted and terrible things did happen to her. It isn’t rehashed in vivid detail, but she is very much trying to recover. This is a pretty realistic recovery process – everyone’s process and timeline is different (which is mentioned many times), and highly individual, so do be cognizant of that - and the fact that this is FICTION.
Victoria is haunted for a long time by the fact that she had the power to kill the man who assaulted her, but didn’t. When Ryder found her, she had a gun to the man’s head, but pulling the trigger would have resulted in the death on an innocent man as well.
“…that pain in your eyes? That torture that you keep going back to? You have no sin to be rebuked for. You made no error for which you must find redemption. No evil of yours led you down a path that the righteous can point to and judge.”
That’s a gorgeous moment of dialog, just a small scene with a character Victoria meets who knows, on a very personal level, so much about that kind of pain, and gives her some perspective. Tell me that isn’t an emotional punch as impactful as a 9-mm slug to the brain, and I’ll call you the liar that you are.
So, you still with me? I haven’t even told you about Ryder yet, and you REALLY want to read about this steamin’ hunk of Australia’s gift to the Female sex. Seriously, he’s adorable!
Ryder grew up in an orphanage in Australia, joined the military and eventually ended up recruited into Titan’s Ghost team: Delta. If you didn’t know, they’re the guys who have nothing to lose, and officially don’t exist. They get in, get it done, and get out, and their #1 Pet Project of all time is human trafficking. If there’s just one thing in the whole wide world that will make these guys see red, it’s finding out somebody’s trafficking women. They will literally go to the ends of the Earth stop it. Ryder, like the others, has a very personal interest stopping these criminals, and not just because of Victoria.
Through the course of “Redemption,” you get to know Ryder’s past, why he’s so patient, so alone, and it melts your heart for the big guy. It just doesn’t seem to occur to him that he could be happy again. What a shame that would be, what a waste!
Honestly, I hadn’t found myself thinking, “is someone gonna get shot soon, or what?” like you might expect. By the time Titan Action kicked in, I was so surprised, I was actually worried, rather than excited to see the S start to hit the proverbial fan. Yikes! I did NOT see that coming, let me tell you.
“Of all the places and all the jobs, my life flashes before my eyes in Iowa.”
Tell me about it, Ryder! That was a close one, Mate.
So… yeah. “Redemption” was different. Mostly. But WOAH, that ending. DANG, girl, you got me good. I loved the whole thing so, so much. Seven made me laugh so hard, I nearly spewed soda on my Kindle. I adored Ryder and Victoria. They nearly made me weepy. (But I forgive you pretty much everything, even mushy brain.) Don’t ever, EVER stop. I cannot wait for the next book!
I have yet to read anything written by Cristin Harber, that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. I love her ability to create endearing, complex, and well developed characters, and Ryder and Victoria are no exception. If you love a friends to lovers, a romantic suspense, or a military romance, look no further than Delta:Redemption, a perfect blend of heart and heat, with intrigue, action, danger and suspense to spare.
Ryder is a captivating, charming, protective and caring alpha hero who is haunted by his past. He's always been a bit of an enigmatic character and it was great to finally find out the back story of this sexy Aussie sniper.
Anyone who has read Locke and Key will be familiar with Victoria, a victim of kidnapping, who was rescued by the Delta team. This title takes us back to prior to her kidnapping, and how events took place for her to find herself as part of a sex trafficking ring in Russia. Victoria is an intriguing and fascinating character, it's amazing to watch her journey of acceptance and healing as she overcomes doubts in her own abilities. She is an incredibly brave, strong, stubborn and smart character who has an inner strength and courage to be admired.
The connection between this pair of characters who are both haunted by their past is undeniable and believable. I loved the dialogue and banter between not only Ryder and Victoria, but the rest of the Titan family and Victoria's best friend Seven. This is a thoroughly captivating story of seeking justice and vengeance, and finally finding redemption. I will be eagerly anticipating the next title in this series, and cannot wait for more of Ms Harber's work.
Delta: Redemption is book #3 in the Delta series. It can be read as standalone, but I would recommend to start with the Titan series and Delta: Retribution (#1) and Delta: Revenge (#2) . There is also the MacKenzie Familiy novella Delta: Rescue (#2.5).
Ryder, hot Aussie and member of Delta, rescues Victoria from a human trafficker. Victoria wanted to shoot the bastard, but Rider took her weapon in order to save a teammate. After her abuse, Victoria doesn't know how to face the people in her hometown and how continue her job as a private investigator / bounty hunter. Although Victoria has doubts, Ryder sees the warrior she is.
Ryder is a protector. He doesn't hide Victoria, but he empowers her and that makes him so adorable! I really liked the chemistry between hero and heroine: "A million things were Happening around them, but that was all that he noticed. Her skin reacted to his touch."
Aaaaand... there is a preview on Jax' story. Make sure you don't miss this! I usually don't read previews, but I'm very happy I did it this time, as I'm a huge fan of Jax :)
Absolute Leseempfehlung!
It's really hard for me to say this, but I only liked this book. I didn't love it. I enjoyed the storyline and found it feasible, but I felt like I was missing something. I feel like we got to know Victoria's story about how/why she was abducted, I feel like we did not get to know her or Ryder. We got to know Ryder as he was with the flashbacks to his time with Zoe, but now who he is today. Obviously Zoe is his motivation for what he does for Delta, but what about his time in the service. He is a relatively unknown character and I just expected more about him and who he is plus more about Victoria and what motivates them.
With that being said, I truly enjoyed the reunion between Javier and Adelia. I'm super curious how this will play out in the future. Will she stay with Mayhem or will she go with Javier? What happened to her during the years she was missing?
The other character I'm having issues reconciling is Seven. There is something going on with her but I can't figure it out. Is she a good guy or bad guy? What is her real story? How is she tied to Mayhem?
Finally, I have a lot of unanswered questions from this book. Are the Russians out of business now or just temporarily sidelined? Is Jax dirty? How did Deacon find out Titan was going after the guns? Why did he call Mayhem to get them to pull back and not Sugar or Jared? Maybe this was done intentionally, but you know the old saying "Waiting killed the cat"; well I'm the cat. I can't wait to see how this all plays out and I hope some of my questions get answered.
After I read the last book in the Titan series, to say I was on the edge of my seat craving the next Delta book like it would be my last meal is an absolute understatement. I had to know who the mysterious, riveting woman was and who was Delta’s Aussie sniper with the sexy, swoon worthy accent! This author totally rocked this next installment of the Delta series in a very 5 star worthy way.
Like the other books in the series, Delta: Redemption had an exquisite balance between tactical military ops filled with bullets and heart thumping danger combined with an emotional story that blew my heart away. This is Victoria’s and Ryder’s epic love story.“Two lone wolves who find each other in their world of hate and hurt.” This quote aptly describes Ryder and Victoria. Each with a story that would cripple anyone forever but not Ryder and Victoria. In their own way, they use the circumstances of their past to chart their future. Little did they know when finding each other in a devastating way their future was with each other. From battling the effects of being in the slave trade to opening up to finding love….just wow.
Every time I think I've read the best in the series, I'm amazed by the next story this author pens. I can safely say Delta: Redemption will be one of my got to books when I'm looking for a “love conquers all” book. This was a definite 5 star read for me.
Good god, sometimes love just finds you at the most inappropriate, unreal times. Like smacks you in the face when you’re rescuing a woman from the pits of hell and you’ve never felt even an inkling of feeling other than relief that they’re finally safe when rescuing/finding a victim previously. Yeah, just like that for Ryder. And maybe even Victoria.
Damn. These two had me at page one. Ryder with his badassness, sexy AF Aussie accent and a penchant for taking out the enemy with one shot. Hot, right? And Victoria. Equally badass in her protections of other women stuck with her in that human trafficking hellhole. Amazingly strong in her fight for the right and just.
Yet neither one of them ever shared the vulnerability of fear and death and love with another person in a very long time—maybe ever. Ryder and Victoria found something in each other that made the other better. Which was amazing and so fun (especially when the Deltas were working to rescue Victoria from the MC . . . Victoria really didn’t need saving, well, okay, yeah she did and but she was wholly badass too.)
I loved getting glimpses of the Titan team—god, Sugar and Mia are a dynamic duo as usual! And I loved how everyone rallied to support Ryder and rescue Victoria. So Titan strong. So awesome. So perfect. ~ Missy, 5 stars
Christin Harbor is easily becoming one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. Delta: Redemption had me anticipating this book long before I read it. The cover and synopsis had me instantly attracted to this book. But the characters and incredibly written story is what really got me wide eyed and hooked. I freaking ADORED this bad-ass heroine, Victoria. The way she took down any bad guy with relative ease amazed me. She was strong, brave, sweet, compassionate, caring..even after she was kidnapped. And Ryder...he is one heart-throbbing hero that left me wishing he was real and I could take him as my own. I loved how passionate he was and how he was determined to help Victoria even when she swore she didn't need it. Their romance was sexy and all consuming and fed my romantic side beautifully.
The suspense and action were top notch too. I was biting my lip and on the edge of my seat and was scared and was freaking amazed with the way these Delta members came in with such strength. I DEVOURED this book and LOVED it so FREAKING MUCH!
Delta Redemption is one of those books you find yourself instantly loving the hero and admiring the heck out of the heroine. I give this book a SERIOUSLY FANTASTIC FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I can't wait to see what comes next!
Victoria Massey, PI/Bounty Hunter gets in some really hot water when she is taken to Russia by a very bad man and is to be sold by slave traders. Delta team comes in to rescue Victoria along with some other women who have been held with her. Victoria is traumatized by what she has been through and isn’t ready to go home yet so she stays with Winters and Mia. The only person she feels safe with is Ryder Hall who was with the team that rescued her. As she starts her healing process, Ryder is with her every step of the way and there maybe a way for them to have a life together until Victoria is taken again.
Another edge of your seat story by Cristin Harber who writes Titan/Delta stories like nobody else! I connected with Ryder and Victoria right away and was pulled into the story from the start. Ryder was hot, sexy, strong, and so gentle with Victoria, he made my heart melt as I turned the pages of the story. Ryder has a sad background that makes your heart break a little for him. There are some pretty mean bad guys in the story as well. I love that so many of Team Titan and Delta were woven in this story. It is so much fun to see how their families are growing and catch up with what they are all doing. Loved this one and anxiously wait for the next one!
Victoria is a PI and a bounty hunter. She is hunting a Russian who has a bounty on him and she gets kidnapped. Two Russians sell her to a billionaire, who traffics women and girls. She is held there for weeks until Delta team comes in and rescues them. Ryder is Australian, former Army, an orphan, and sniper for the Delta team. He takes Victoria to Cash, a Titan team member, and his wife Mia's house. She stays for awhile and Ryder helps her deal with what she went through. She returns to her home in Iowa and is planning on getting revenge on the Russians who sold her. But gets kidnapped again by the Russians. Then traded to the local motorcycle club. The club has other plans for her and she is surprised by who is in the club. Ryder is beside himself and will do anything to get her back. So the whole team is behind him, they just have to figure out where she is and how to get her out. My favorite story. Victoria is a warrior, bada$$ woman, and loves Ryder. I can just imagine Ryder's sexy accent. The sex is incredible. Lots of shooting and a couple of things blown up. This is a book not to be missed.
In true Titan & Delta Team fashion this book is an action and suspense filled thriller. Victoria is a young woman on a mission to prove herself to her community. She's a private investigator determined to root out the evil rolling into her town. The repercussions of her mission are horrendous and traumatic. But her strength is unmistakable. When Delta team becomes involved with Victoria she immediately impresses Ryder, Delta sniper and young Aussie who had a painful childhood and lonely life. Ryan finds he can't stay away from Victoria. She has had shattering experiences and he is compelled to help her heal. His actions to rebuild her self respect and confidence are truly comforting and loving. There is never a question of Ryan's strength, hotness or toughness, but the reverence he bestows on Victoria is amazing in his empathy toward her. They truly are kindred spirits This is a beautiful love story in addition to being a top notch thrilling adventure of mystery, revenge, cruelty and teamwork. What an absolutely fantastic book, don't miss it.
