After returning home due to her father’s illness, Elise Phillips reunites with her college friends, including Luke Long. Luke was a player back then, and Elise had always prided herself on not being another notch on his bedpost.

Luke is still gorgeous though, and he knows it. And he checks all her boxes—intelligent and sexy with muscles and a hard body.

Following a night of beer and shots, her resistance runs out, and he finally does check her box. And Elise knows that it can never happen again.

Luke had always thought of Elise as the pretty girl that was friends with his roommate’s girlfriend, but now she’s all grown up. When their night of passion rocks Luke’s world he realizes he must have her again.

The two enter a friends-with-benefits relationship with the agreement that they’re just going to have fun. The only thing is, with mutual friends involved, they have to hide their indiscretion.

But what harm can come from a dirty little secret?

This was the first thing I have read by this author and I found it to be an enjoyable experience.
The story is basically a friend's with benefits type romance.
The book is about two former college acquaintances Luke and Elise both with some preconceived notion's of each other who meet up through mutual friends a few years later when Elise has moved back to town to be closer to her parents and her sick father and they strike up a friendship of sorts.
This friendship is off the charts in terms of heat and toe-curling shenanigans.
But also really sweet and comfortable at the same time.
This was an incredibly low angst easy read.
A straightforward contemporary romance that ticked all my boxes in terms of feel good.
It wasn't a complicated story but that was half the draw here, I could just kick back and enjoy myself for a few hours without the stress.
I also really liked the epilogue we got with this one.
If you are looking for something uncomplicated that will leave you with the warm and fuzzies this one is definitely the book for you.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Friends with Benefits (Dirty Love, #1).

Another dirty pleasure kind of read with a lot of underlying family core undertones interwined within it.

I liked that it wasn't just a book about sex. While a panty melter is always appreciated, firstly, I liked that the two main leads were acquainted with each other already and knew the basic superficial gist of the other while later developing into something more. I'm not going to lie and say that the game changer one night stand was a new ploy that I haven't come across before to get the love story going. I've come across MANY of those before and now. But, I liked how these two progress from having a mutual attraction always but never acting on it, to eventually lovers, and then taking it a back step and building from a friend (*with of course benefits*--- that I cannot leave out) zone, and then later into a full blown relationship.

I think for those looking for a pleasure, yet family and friend oriented read, look no further.

Received an ARC for my fair review from author. This is the first book that I have read by this author, but it will definitely not be my last. We meet Elise, who has come back home because her dad is dying, and she gets reunited with her friends, and also with Luke, who she has always been attracted to, but never admitted to not even herself because he was a manwhore. Luke has also always been attracted to Elise, but out of respect for his friendship with Sean, his best friend, and Rachel, Sean's fiance and Elise's best friend, he has never acted on it. But that will change. The night that they all meet up, the strong chemistry that they have, has finally taken over, and they act on it, and even though they think it will only be a one- night stand, it is not, it grows to more. Elise has come from a difficult background, her parents are super conservative, they do not believe in sex before marriage, same sex relationship, and they are not only vocal about it, but have strongly inflicted their views on there daughters, so their daughters are afraid to admit, how they live to them. Of course, situations arise and all hell breaks lose, and Elise doesn't know how to handle it, and breaks up with Luke, and he takes it pretty hard, thankfully everything works out, and they get there HEA, but my friends, I encourage you to read, it is very enjoyable.

Book Review originally published here: http://www.iheartreading.net/book-tou...

Dirty is a thrilling, exciting contemporary romance. Back in college, Elise Phillips vowed to never let Luke Long, one of the campus’s most notorious players, in her pants.

When she returns home due to her father’s illness and she runs into an old acquintance from college – Luke – he doesn’t seem to have changed one bit. She’s still wary and refuses to get dragged into his little games, until a few rounds of pool and a couple of shots lead to one night of hot sex.

Their one night of passion means a lot more to Luke than he thought possible. He knows he must have her again… But he’s not ready to commit, and neither is Elise, who is afraid he’s just in it for fun and nothing more. Despite their worries, both of them keep coming back for more, and they enter into a friends with benefits relationship.

Despite Elise’s vow to just keep things light and sexy, and that she just wants to have fun, when she discovers a side of Luke she didn’t know existed, she starts falling for him. And Luke might just fall ofr her too…

Elise and Luke have so MUCH chemistry between them, it’s amazing. All of their scenes are hot, hot, hot… And sometimes funny too. This mix of hot, funny and sexy, gives the book a light summer feel, making it a great summer read, the kind of book you can read on the beach or while chilling at the pool. Luke is so flirty and sexy, it’s a miracle Elise can resist him for so long.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I liked this book and it was much more than just a steamy sex story. It is also the first time that i have read this collaboration of people before.

Elise has returned home only because her father is ill and she does not want to miss anything should anything happen.

Luke has the reputation of when her was in college for being a bit of a playboy and not serious about having a girlfriend.

The chemistry between the two is hot and you can really see the two growing closer together and sharing more of themselves than with previous partners, even though they keep their relationship, which starts as friends with benefits from their friends to begin with..

We have family issues on Elise's side and a reappearance from one of the exes, but mostly we have supportive friends and two people finding that they need each other and are the prefect fit for each other and keep each other happy.

I really liked this book and would very happily read more from this pen name again.

**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book.**

This was such a fun and steamy book!

Elise is back home. No, literally. She's moved into her parents house after her father's medical emergency left the family shaken up. And living with her strict parents is just as miserable as it used it be. So a night out with her best friend is just what the doctor ordered. That is, until she spots a guy that practically oozes temptation. Even a warning from her friend may not be enough to keep her away. Especially when alcohol is involved.

Luke isn't looking for anything serious. Not again. After his ex left him high and dry, he has kept his relationships with women casual. This does nothing to squash the reputation he's earned as a player, though. And while his friend practically labels Elise as off-limits, Luke cannot possibly allow this chance to slip by.

A night of naughty leads to another and another. Soon, Elise can't tell if their fling is still supposed to be casual since it's starting to feel like something else. There's just one problem. Due to the secrecy, Elise may be falling in love with Luke and her friends and family know nothing about their relationship. Their dirty little secret may just come back to bite them. And not in a kinky way.

I read this entire thing within a couple hours while sitting in the bathtub. It's my go-to reading place and really the only time I get to myself is when I lock myself in there. Just be happy that I don't do like everyone else does and Instagram photos of me while reading. Hahaha! You're welcome.

The first chapter sucked me in and I flew through this book. Elise was a complicated woman with some serious parental troubles. Not only was her father badly sick, which added a whole other layer of suspense, but both of her parents are very conservative. To the point where Elise doesn't feel like she's even able to be her true self around them. Yikes. I felt terrible for her several times while reading their interactions.

But Luke was a breath of fresh air. He was flirtatious and charming while also being intelligent and a hard worker. It was a nice combination for a male lead. He made me laugh a few times, swoon at a couple other moments, and definitely fan myself over and over. I think the 4th of July party scene had me smiling the whole time.

And the romance is hot, hot, hot. There are several bedroom scenes and each one was entertaining. It never became repetitive, which is good. The secret affair angle added a whole other element to the story. I love a forbidden romance even though I'm not really sure this counts as being forbidden since the reasons for hiding the relationship were pretty thin. Still, there were several twists in the book and a great ending.

In closing...
I definitely recommend this story to anyone who likes a spicy romance. 4.5 suns!

Elise is home because her father is sick. She moved away after College. But she reunites with her College friends when she arrives.

Luke was best friends in College with Elise’s best friend’s boyfriend. Elise avoided him because he slept around and she didn’t want to be another notch on his bedpost.

All of the friends go out for the night and Elise ends up in bed with Luke. They were doing shots and next thing she knows and she wakes up in his bed.

Elise and Luke decide to enter a friends with benefits relationship but keep it a secret from their friends. This story was filled with twists and turns and some of them explosive. I think this was a good story and you will enjoy it too!

This book is filled with great characters, a good story line and great dialogue. Elise returns home after living away for any years. She meets up with her best friend and college friends on a night out. When Luke walks in looking delicious and being as flirty as ever. They are both warned off the other by mutual friends. After a few games of pool and a few shots things get dirty. The next morning Elise wakes up with a hangover and Luke laying next to her. Text messages and movie nights follow and the next thing they know, they are in a secret relationship. There is a lot of dirty talk and dirty sex but there is also a pretty good story. Elise has to deal with her religious, judgmental parents. She thinks she is beyond wanting their approval. but is she? There are secrets that are revealed and assumptions that are corrected. Plenty of fun scenes, hot scene and cute scenes.

4.5 stars, Lindsey

Luke and Elise is relationship goals.

From the moment, they reconnect they have a chemistry that turns from lust and builds to love. R L Kenderson took this story and gave great characters, awesome writings and great plot. These two will take you on a roller coaster you will not will not want to be let off of.

There was a lot of emotional depth in this book. These two character's relationships grew and built throughout this story to give it substance and make it so enjoyable. This was a great book to get lost in and fall in love with the characters.

R l Kenderson can easily become one of my favorites . This book made me smile, laugh , a lil aggravated ( still couldn’t put down ) and fall in love with the characters . I can say this won't be my last book by this author.

Luke is a player. Elise wants him, but doesn’t want to admit to herself that she does. She has since college. They are thrown together for dinner and alcohol takes over and they spend the night together. It’s supposed to be a one night thing, but then they start texting and talking and become friends. Elise realizes that Luke is not the same guy he was in college.

I was given a copy of this to review.

This was a nice read. I can't imagine having parents like Elise's. I was glad to see her parents change in the end. It just sucks that her dad being sick is what made it happen. I was glad that Elise finally saw herself as a decent person. I'm glad that she had Luke to make her see that.

Elise comes home to help take care of her father who has been diagnosed with cancer. She decides to go to dinner with her best friend and friends from school, and in walks blast from the past Luke Long. She was the only woman immune to his player ways. At least until now. Her best friend warns her not to do anything, and it turns out, they've warned him not to touch her as well. Well, you can't keep 2 magnets away from each other!! And like magnets, Luke and Elise connected. For a long time, they see each other on the sly, hiding it from everyone. Meanwhile, Elise's sister is having marital problems and decides to finally tell her family her big secret. Not only is she getting a divorce, but there's a HUGE bombshell she's about to drop in her mega-christian family. Will her parents be able to accept it?? So much happens in this book that it will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is not your average love story (though it IS a love story haha) Read DIRTY to find out what happens...

I totally Loved this book!!!
In the begging of the book Luke & Elise spend a night together upon them seeing each other for the first time again after college but we are kept in suspense because Elise can only remember bits and parts of that night! That part made me wonder trough out the hole book what happened and the thought of not knowing killed me but R.L Kenderson kills that suspense in her other book Sexy!!

R.L Kenderson explains that in this book Renae has put the most of her Personal life in. I think what she did was wonderful! I have read allot of books were the author puts details of her personal life in the book and the book gets ruined because they only focus on the personal things they have put into the book and it starts ruling the book but in the contrary that did not happen in this book.

I loved the way she added personal details in the book and shared a part of her with us!! It really makes the book more special to the reader or at least it did for me.

This book us a wonderful read and the whole book is put together perfectly!!

This book is definitely dirty. I enjoyed the story-line... a enemies (of sorts) to lovers romance. They weren't technically enemies, she, Elise, just avoided him, Luke, in college because of his playboy ways. After seeing him again several years later, she is only slightly surprised when she wakes up with a hangover in an unfamiliar bed. His bed. She doesn't remember much of what happened, but she knows they got down and dirty. They agree to go into a friends with benefits relationship... but you know what can happen with the best laid plans.

I liked Luke's character as well as all the side characters, but there was something about Elise that didn't allow her to click with me. I don't think it was intentional with the writing, but in my opinion she came across as a bit, I don't know, self serving. Not really selfish, but it felt like she thought she was better than everyone else. Though she never said those words or anything like that... just the vibe I got. There was a moment when she actually thought she wasn't good enough, but that was only after an incident with her parents.

It's written in third person (which is not my personal favorite,) and tended to take a couple paragraphs into the chapter to realize which person's POV I was witnessing it from. But other than that, it was easy to read, and read quickly. Yes, there is a lot of sexual content. Most certainly meant for mature readers.

This book had every thing that I like in a romance novel!

Strong female character - Check
Hot smart male - Check
Great group of friends - Check
Secondary Character Drama - check check check

Elise returns home to be closer with her dad who has an illness. She reunites with her old friends and Luke Long, the college player.

One drunken night between Elise and Luke starts a secret friends-with benefit arrangement.

Elise finds herself liking Luke more and more and turns to him for advice and support.

But can a relationship that started as a one night stand last? Add to the mix 2 very religious parents, one sister on the brink of divorce and friends that have warned them to stay away from each other.

A great read that I liked from beginning to end.

Please note that I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review

I have too many book boyfriends already but I have to add this one to my queue,

Well, now I have a new author(s) to add to my favorites list. This book has it all, secret love, snarky banter, a HEA and did I say hot, steamy, naughty, dirty sex? I absolutely adored Luke with his reformed man-whore ways and the way he treats Elise. This was sweet at times, funny at times, hot at times but always a passion filled love story. The writing is top notch, flowed well and moved quickly. I highly recommend this book to all

Dirty is full of chemistry between the two main characters.

Elise Phillips has moved back home and is trying to settle into her new life there. Elise tries her best to be independent from her parents, yet with conservative parents, some lessons from the past can stick with Elise without her realizing it. Elise loves her friends. She's loyal, determined, and a bit of a wildcat. Back in college, Elise did not want to be another notch in Luke's bedpost.

Luke has changed from the wild college kid he used to be. He was once a player, but now he's more responsible and willing to settle down. With his career and past relationships, he can doubt whether someone is into him for himself or for is title.

One drunk night could change their lives and how well Elise and Luke get along. Their chemistry is off the charts, but could their past and insecurities ruin them?

I received this book as an Advance Reader's Copy. All opinions are my own.

I received this one as an ARC with no obligation to leave my honest review.
This is the first book I've read by these authors and I must admit it did tick a lot of the boxes that makes it enjoyable for me, it was easy to read and had great character development and world buliding.
I really liked the H's mixed heritage as it not one I've read much about, he certainly was the perfect package with brains and sexiness, he may have been a player in his youth but as an adult there was no evidence of it any more and he really was a sweetie. I really enjoyed Luke, his friends and family.
Elise was a great character who certainly embraced her sexual side (nothing wrong with that at all) though I will admit that I do think this one is on the "tamer" side of "dirty" during the sex scenes, still smokin' hot but not what I would consider really "dirty", still great to read though.
Elise lost her way a little there with the influence of her very religious parents but thankfully it didn't take her long to work through and become true to herself again.
Lots of interesting secondary characters, especially Nate who I'd love to read more about.
Overall a very enjoyable story and I'm sure I'll pick up more from these authors!

R.L. Kenderson has become one of my favourite authors - she never ceases to amaze me with her skilful writing.

The name of this book says it all because it's dirty in the most naughtiest yet sexiest of ways.

Luke and Elise made me laugh with their bantering, it was definitely entertaining. These two had mind blowing, explosive chemistry.

Warning- ladies be prepared - you might be looking for some serious relief after reading this one lol.

I absolutely loved this book - the characters were great.

This was a friends with benefits story that was so much fun to read. Well written with a great storyline and even greater characters. Luke is my newest 'book boyfriend'. Elise and Luke were adorable together and it was so much fun to read their back and forth banter. Their chemistry was amazing and Elise tried to resist him because of his man whore reputation in college. Lots of family issues and drama that's over the top at times. A great read that will capture your attention right at the beginning and keep it. RL Kenderson is a great writer and it certainly shows in this book. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

Fantastic read. It was fast paced and had consistent progression in the storyline. The characters were relatable and entertaining. I was definitely hooked from the beginning. Wild and sexy scenes are found throughout. The extremely religious, close minded family is something I can relate to. Each of the relationships (family, friends, lover) gave off different emotions, adding to the experience. I can't wait for more.

Got for an honest review.

First time reading from the author.

I thought the story was well written, it pulled me right in. Luke and Elise have chemistry.
It sparks with Elise as she tries to fight the feelings for him.
I love the friends with benefit the author added to the story.
The two had me laughing and smiling at them. They heated up the pages.
Hope to read more from the author, so I will be stalking their book shelves for more books.

Thank you for letting me read your story.

I loved Dirty. Elise has very conservative parents that have affect her self esteem so when she finds someone that was only supposed to be a one night stand she can't see why he would love her.
Luke just wants people to see the real him not the person he was in his youth.
I could not put this book down. Very well written and captivating.

Dirty by RL Kenderson was a 5 star read.
Elise and Luke have major chemistry and it shows throughout the book although Elise tries to fight it because of the reputation Luke had in college, it was nice to see them both work things out. I was luckily enough to receive an advance copy of this book but I bought my own copy too and re-read it.

I loved everything about this book, whether finding more out about Dr L. or learning see how Elise is overcoming her parents even if she hasn't realised how she has been affected!

The chemistry between Luke and Elise is obvious right from the beginning and all you can do is wait until you know its finally going to crack!

Hoping for more in this series!!

Overall I really enjoyed the storylines. In addition to Elise and Luke's relationship there were also family issues that were focused on. At times the book felt long and a bit stiff maybe because it was in third person. I'd still recommend it as a good read. Elise and Luke are terrific characters with definite chemistry. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
