After too many bad decisions in romance, Emma is going on a man-fast. For the next six months, she's fasting from men. No sex. No dating. No soulful gazes. No fond memories of her first crush. She's going to spend the time focusing on her career, getting in touch with herself, and helping her two best friends with the launch of their new tea room. No men.
And that includes her brother's best friend, Noah Hart, who has just returned to their hometown.
She doesn't want Noah anyway. He might be even hotter than he was before, but he's not a nice guy anymore. He's made a fortune by acting ruthless in business, and the last thing he's looking for is small-town domestic life. He doesn't even want to be in town again, but a sick grandmother guilted him into it. Then he has nerve to not even recognize Emma when he sees her again. Maybe it's been seven years, but a decent guy would remember his best friend's little sister.
Noah is not a decent guy. Anyway, Emma is on a man-fast. And she doesn't want Noah.
At all.
Fifteen years ago, three girls were thrown together because their brothers were best friends. Now they're all grown up, and their brothers are grown up too. The Tea for Two series tells their stories.
Noelle handwrote her first romance novel in a spiral-bound notebook when she was twelve, and she hasn't stopped writing since. She has lived in eight different states and currently resides in Virginia, where she teaches English, reads any book she can get her hands on, and offers tribute to a very spoiled cocker spaniel.
She loves travel, art, history, and ice cream. After spending far too many years of her life in graduate school, she has decided to reorient her priorities and focus on writing contemporary romances.
Emma announces to her friends that she is going to go on a man-fast, no men, no dating. Nothing for at least six months since she can't seem to help falling for the jerks that end up breaking her heart. Emma decided she will focus on herself, her career, helping her friends open their new business and stay away from the heartache.
That is until Emma finds out that Noah is returning to town. Noah was always Emma's crush growing up although he barely new she existed being the little sister of one of Noah's friends. Now however Emma is all grown up and no longer the chubby little sister that Noah remembers so much so that as soon as he arrives he makes a pass at Emma not recognizing her.
Falling for Her Brother's Best Friend is the first book in a new romance series, Tea for Two, by Noelle Adams. The main characters in the series were all brothers/sisters that had grown up together and become best friends but now the older brothers are finding there are more to their friends annoying younger sisters than they ever noticed in the past.
For the most part I enjoyed this lovely little romance read focused on a second chance at love. There were a few little details here and there I probably would have done a little differently myself by overall it was a feel good story and fun read. Noah was a bit swoon worthy with his love for his Nan and little sister in the story so that is always a plus having a family orientated lead. I'd definitely be interested in seeing the story continue with the other couples.
I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
4 stars. This is a cute novella about what was once a childhood friendship turning into more. The hero has been gone for 9 years, and when he returns he finds himself extremely attracted to the heroine. She is best friends with his sister, and he is best friends with her brother. The heroine was always crushing on him when they were young, but he didn’t see her that way. This whole series has some “keeping it in the family” vibes, since it seems like all of the books have similar setups, but that didn’t make the story less enjoyable. There’s a decent bit of angst, but there’s a lot of sweet mixed in. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
Safe; no virgins, both had other partners but nothing serious, no scenes with om/ow, no om/ow drama, no cheating.

Emma has decided to go on a man-fast considering that all of her past relationships have shown her to make poor decisions in that regard. And she means it. Absolutely. That is until her brother’s best friend and her childhood crush returns to town.
Noah hasn’t been home in seven years. He’s not the settling down kind and he never will be. That is until he runs into Emma who stirs feelings in him he doesn’t understand. Unfortunately, despite the hot chemistry between the two of them, he can’t change his nature. He’s a runner, and someone will eventually get hurt.
I loved this book with its fun character of friends and family. Emma is a sweet friend and sister and she struggles to deny her feelings for Noah in order to protect herself. I’m not going to share what the root of Noah’s problem is but I totally understood it and the reason he is unable to let it go. Despite his reasons, he feels strongly toward Emma and wants to be a better man for her, for his sister, for his grandmother.
This is a quick read that was never bogged down by unnecessary dialogue or internal contemplation. The epilogue is just a quick peek a month into the future but I suspect we will see more of this couple as the following friends and brothers stories are presented. I will definitely be checking them out when released.
I'm usually a big fan of Noelle's books but this one was just ok for me. I had a hard time liking Noah's character. His father leaving them as kids has affected him to the point that he never comes home and has no ties. He's driven and successful, but doesn't commit. His reluctance to pursue Emma and his constant flaking on her kept me from truly loving this story. This is more a personal preference since I prefer a Hero that goes after the woman he wants. This still has the great writing that Noelle Adams is known for. ARC provided by NetGalley.
This is a brilliant start to a contemporary new series which focusses on three young women who are best friends and have been since their older brothers became best friends fifteen years ago. This is a great introduction to the three pairs of siblings - Emma and Patrick, Ginny and Noah & Carol and Ryan. Emma and Patrick work together but they are also supporting the new business being launched by Carol and Ginny - a tea room in their home town. Emma is fed up with dating the wrong men and has decided to avoid relationships for the next six months. Then she discovers that her childhood crush, Ginny’s brother Noah, is coming home for the opening of the tea room after being absent for seven years. When he hits on her in the bar at the airport she realises he doesn’t even recognise who she is though the attraction between them is mutual. Knowing he’s now a hard hearted business man who runs from commitment and relationships, he’s another of those wrong men for Emma and he also knows he shouldn’t be attracted to his best friend’s sister but attracted to her he is! Life’s going to get interesting as they try to resist temptation!
This is a heart warming tale that also includes some touching discussions and turmoil regarding reactions to a father leaving to start a new family, no longer keeping in contact or showing interest in their original family offspring. The resulting turmoil and life choices are key to this story and impact on the development of the relationships for the siblings concerned. This is a story about families, friendship and romance with great characters, plenty of twist and packed with emotional turmoil. It is an engaging read and I look forward to reading more in the series in future!
I requested and was given a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it.
I love stories that is about a group of friends and this one was another good start to a new series.
Emma, Ginny and Carol are best friends. They became best friends because their brother's were best friends. Emma has had a crush on Ginny's brother Noah since she was a teenager but now she is grown up and she has moved on, right! And especially now that she is on a Man-Fast for six months, lol.
But when she runs into Noah at the airport picking up her brother and he hits on her without knowing who she is Emma feels kind of hurt. But then again he hasn't seen her for six years. Noah remembers Emma as a sweet girl following him around and he knew that she had a crush on him, but he never thought about it. Now she has grown into a Sexy Matured Women that he can't seem to forget.
But for Noah and Emma things aren't that easy. They both find out that they have feeling for each other and the sexual tension between them is so off the charts. But Noah has some unresolved issue with his dad abondining them as a family and then getting married and having his own family. So will he be able to commit to Emma or will he just up and leave after his vacation is done.
Definitely loved this one and the awesome part is that the other characters are going to be fun when they get their own stories. Especially Patrick as he seems like the quiet one in the group and Ryan who is the player that is going to be Epic.
I love a sweet, friends to lovers romance. This one between Noah and Emma had just the right amount of friends as kids, to one day the "best friends little sister grows up" and is no longer just a little annoyance with pigtails.
Emma hasn't had the best of experiences with love/men, so she goes on a "man-fast." But what she didn't count on was her brother's BFF/her childhood crush returning to their town after many years of being gone. Well, he has grown up too. As with many young men, he is also quite the player. They do say that if a man finds the right woman, however, that he can become the settling down type. And that's all I want to say about that!
**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**
This is another great start to a new series from this author and we get to see bits from all of the other characters that will have books of their own.
Emma had a very bad crush on Noah when she was a teenager and when he does not recognise her when he first sees her everything changes, he see's a side of her he has never noticed before.
Patrick, Ryan and Noah were friends so when they were younger they pushed their little sisters, Emma, Carol and Ginny together who also became best friends.
Carol and Ginny have set up a tea shop with the brothers as investors and Emma who did the business plan. Its a business where all have something invested.
Things move very quickly with Noah and Emma and it had me almost in tears sometimes, but they are more open with each other than they expected.
A lovely story that had me wanting to read the other books immediately.
Sums up my feelings on this book really. It was cute. That was about it. It did have a nice storyline of reconnecting two people and having them both learn to trust each other, despite not being able to several times. It had good supporting characters of the friends. And that was it. I definitely didn't hate this book, but I don't love it.
It was cute, short, sweet.
So I'm torn between 2 and 3 stars, but think I'll stay with my three because this book didn't really do anything to piss me off.
Falling for her Brother’s Best Friend is beautiful romantic love story with nice characters and a good storyline.
Doing justice to it’s mentioned genre of romantic comedy, this book had some really funny moments especially in the beginning of the novel which made me laugh out loud. The narrative was not only laugh out loud, it also had some emotional moments like when Noah’s dilemma and fear played havoc in his life and as a consequence both he and Emma got hurt.
One important plus point of this novel was that the author expressed the emotions and thoughts of both the main characters really well and I almost felt like I was with them.
Another thing about this novel is that as all the important characters have been friends right from the childhood (Falling for her Brother’s Best Friend shows these characters in there adult life) so there is a friendly atmosphere throughout the novel; this friendly atmosphere made me feel good while I was reading the book and was one of the reasons why I enjoyed it.
Finally I would say this love story of Emma and Noah is quite a enjoyable read that I would definitely like to recommend to all romance lovers.
This is the start of a sweet and sexy contemporary romance series starring three best girlfriends and their older brothers. It's clear from the start that it's going to be the girls paired off with their friend's brothers, so I'll be interested to see the differences in story plots since they all have the 'best friend's sibling' trope. In this story it's Emma, a smart business minded woman who is the financial planner for her brother Patrick's IT company who is paired with her friend Ginny's older brother Noah. Emma's always had a crush on Noah but he's been away from town for several years and is back only because of the Tea for Two shop his sister is opening. But being around Emma, whom he definitely sees as all grown up now also makes him wonder whether he's made the right choice staying away for so long.
I enjoyed the setup for this story, and the strong friendship between the three women. Ginny and Carol own the Tea for Two shop and Emma helped them out with their business plan to get things off the ground. The grand opening of the shop is the impetus to get the families together and the three older brothers (Emma's brother Patrick, Ginny's brother Noah, and Carol's brother Ryan) are all best friends too. There is a bit of that 'you're not good enough for my sister' vibe coming from Patrick towards Noah when he suspects that there might be something going on between them. Noah is a conflicted character, his father's defection from their family when he was younger making him hesitant to commit to a woman on the chance that she might leave him. It creates the conflict between him and Emma as he's not sure he can give her what she's looking for. Plus he feels guilty for having left town for so long and not having spent time with his sister Ginny and his Nan, who is showing her age. After a series of unsuccessful relationships Emma is on a 'Man-fast', but that doesn't last long once Noah is in town. There are some sexy scenes between Noah and Emma and I like how the story played out along the way to its happy ending. I'm definitely planning to read about the other couples!
Note: a copy of this story was provided by the author for review.
One of the good things about this author is that, no matter what, I know I'm going to get some emotional connection. In romances emotional connections are a must and I'm usually bored by primarily physical ones. Having said that, this book seems a little more lust driven than some of her books. It's the idea that people don't feel they should be with someone else but those darn hormones! That always feels a little juvenile to me.
The hero wasn't my favorite. Anyone who sees a woman and thinks of her as a "hot little package" just doesn't appeal to me. The objectification of women aside, we're supposed to see that he's deeply sensitive but hides it behind this no stings attached sentiment to protect his heart. Those just aren't my favorite sorts of hero. They come across as man-boys with no courage. He also repeatedly runs from the heroine. There was a reason explained, but still it made the book not my favorite.
We're introduced to the future characters of this series. I think the next is going to be with the man-slut which is another hero type of which I'm not a fan. However, this author is the only one who might make that type work and usually shows aspects in a way that makes it more palatable. Also, he might just be a flirt rather than a man-whore. It also helps that he's going to be paired with a female version of the no strings attached type and it's implied that he might be the one pining for/waiting on her.
For $1 I figure it's worth that to pick the next book up and read even if it isn't my ideal book fit.
This could've been a great read but it desperately needed more depth.
And a much better time frame.
1. The heroine, Emma, kept making the same idiotic mistakes and yet seemed equally surprised each time when shit hit the fan.
2. The hero, Noah (love the name btw), was ok, but I was expecting more of a brute and a cut-throat businessman and not the broken guy who was dealing with his abandonment issues.
3. The lack of communication (and the skills) between the hero and the heroine was tiring.
4. And this romance desperately needed layers and more time in order to bloom and make me actually believe that these two belong together.
I loved the idea for this book and the synopsis intrigued me because i'm a sucker for a nice fluffy brother's best friend romance but this one could've been so much better.
I love to read an unrequited love with a slow-burn pace. While it's not one of the best reads for me, it's not bad either. It's a kind of Harlequin book.

When you have to date a few jerks to find your Prince Charming...
Emma is excited to assist her best friends in opening their new tea shop. Everything is going according to plan. That is, until she learns that her childhood crush is coming back to town for a visit just after she's sworn off men altogether. Worse, he shows up early and though she's thrilled when he flirts with her, she's crushed to realize it's only because he doesn't know who she is. Bummer.
Noah is surprised to learn that the gorgeous woman in the airport bar is the same little girl he used to tease. His best friend's little sister isn't so little anymore. And his body's response to her presence every time he sees her is becoming hard to ignore. He wants her, even though he knows it's not a good idea. She seems to want him, too, making it even tougher to avoid the inevitable.
Unfortunately, Noah's instinct to run away from commitment rears its ugly head. He isn't good for Emma and he'd rather break her heart now than do it later on. Emma knows she shouldn't expect anything serious from Noah but that doesn't stop her heart from longing for something she may never be able to have. And Emma isn't he only person that Noah is running from, either.
This was a quick and easy read that I really enjoyed. I love forbidden love themed stories and this is obviously one with a girl in love with her brother's best friend. Just from the title alone, I knew this was going to be a good story. It's nice to read about characters with a history suddenly seeing each other in a different light. It's heartwarming and entirely believable.
Emma was a nice character with a history of dating jerks. She's sworn off all men but even though she says she's serious, her fast goes right out the window when she sees Noah. It's adorable to see the effect this one guy has on her. I liked the fact that she behaved realistically. She had her doubts but allowed herself to get caught up in the passion of the moment.
Noah had some issues to work through. Watching him try to ignore his attraction to Emma was cute and so was his streak of jealousy, too. I liked his character quite a bit and I thought he was a good match for Emma. I do wish there had been a reconciliation shown between him and Patrick. It felt like a missing piece of the puzzle.
The romance was sweet with moments of steam. The story turned more intense for the last quarter and I thought it had a nice ending. The secondary characters were entertaining and I love the entire friendship dynamic within the group. I'm curious to see how Ginny and Ryan will get along because I predict their story will come next. It will be a second chance story, another favorite theme of mine!
In closing... One couple down. Two to go! 4.5 suns!
Falling for her Brother’s Best Friend was a great 5 star read.
Emma has had enough of attracting a-hole men so she tells her friends she’s going on a 6 month Man-Fast. What she didn’t plan on was Noah, her brother’s best friend coming home for a few months.
While having a deep conversation with Noah, he and Emma end up kissing. Emma is shocked at what happened but it was a pleasant surprise. When he calls her by her childhood nickname she knows the moment is lost. Can we just pretend it didn’t happen? - Noah She was going to be a mature, reasonable person and move on from one little kiss.
Noah is starting to notice Emma, in a very sexual way. The way he couldn’t stop lusting after Emma made him feel vulnerable too. The men flirting with Emma at the grand opening for Tea for Two is really getting to him. Than he makes the mistake of calling her out on the flirting, not a good idea. And what comes a little later, OH MY. It was hot.
Noah’s sister really laid into him, when she found out what happened between him and Emma, her best friend. She didn’t want her best friends heart getting broken by her brother. All I can say is my emotions were all over the board, I was happy and giddy for Emma and then I was ugly crying. I couldn’t take much more. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was great reading about Noah and Emma’s journey to realizing their feelings for each and trying to make things work.I loved all the secondary characters and I am really looking forward to getting to know the rest of them as the series moves forward, the epilogue was great. This is a great start to a fun new series by Noelle Adams.

Noelle Adams starts a new sweet and sexy series, Tea for Two, starting with "Falling For Her Best Friend's Brother". It follows two girlfriends who open a tearoom in their town; the third friend's the "money girl" and honorary partner. The girls became best friends because their brothers were best friends. Emma's the brainy one of the friends and considers herself to be the plain one. She seems to only attract losers and her last horrible boyfriends have driven her to try a 6 month "Man-Fast". Proving she's unable to fall for the right guy is the childhood crush she had on her best friend's brother. Noah's the definition of a bad choice but he's become a "runner" and when things get tough he moves on. He's very successful, working at a multi-national corporation and travels from country to country. Noah's been away from their hometown for several years. Running. "Falling For Her Best Friend's Brother" is an understatedly sexy romance. It's a book that's quick to read which is perfect for something light to read between books. Noelle Adams provides a list of characters at the beginning of the book. The roster links the brothers and their sisters and gives a brief description of each. All of the characters are charming and likable. Emma's vulnerable yet she's also very strong and mature about Noah's "mood swings". Noah's an extremely sympathetic hero; he has a past which changed and defined him. Who he is today is a colder version of the warm-hearted boy of years past. However that caring soul still shines through. Nan is a trip and has personality plus. I'm now curious as to what will happen next in the Tea for Two series; I'll definitely be looking out. An Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book was received free via Netgalley for an honest review.
Adams is one of those authors I just can't stop reading. So when I saw this come across my Netgalley radar, I requested it right away. Falling for her Brother's Best Friend was not her best book but I still liked it. It's a cute set up, but it's also obvious (definitely not a spoiler) that each of the three friends will be pairing off with a brother, so the mystery is kind of lacking.
Emma is a bit of weak sauce with her crush, her lack of any social circle outside of her besties, her inability to pick a decent guy (i.e., one who doesn't cheat on her), and her apparent lack of self confidence. Honestly, Noah isn't all that much better. He spends his time running away from emotion, feeling guilty, and being guilted by the people around him into doing what they want.
But, Noah's is the stronger character arc while Emma just stays her sweet, perfect little self. This is one of the reasons it was less than compelling. While is scant depth to the characters, especially anyone not named Noah, who was given the most and it was still too little. I realize this was a very short book but a little added depth would have gone a long way. The lack of emotional depth among people who are supposed to be best friends (both the women and the men) hurt this story.
All that said, I was happy where the book ended up, even if things got tied up in a bow a little too much and I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series. This is Noelle Adams, after all.
Emma nya kesel banget.
Emma ini sll memacari pecundang, sampai die bersumpah akan melakukan Man-fasting selama 6bln, tiap hari dtanya temen2nya gimana fastingnya, bahkan kakaknya jg sering nanyain.. tp trs Noah balik ke kota dan Emma yg seneng banget coba negor pas di bandara, malah Noahnya kaga inget die siapa dan ngerayu2 gitu lah.. kesel deh si mbaknya.
Tapi cinta mengalahkan segalanya... namanya jg novel ehehehe.. HEA pokoknya XD
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the first in a series, and sets up the relationships between the three friends and their sisters. In this installment, Emma has to deal with her childhood crush Noah returning to town.
Not only is Emma best friend's with his sister Ginny, but she has done the business plans for the new tea shop too, so she certainly can't stay away from him. Her recently imposed Manfast is very badly timed, but surely some rules are made to be broken.
Noah is a man who is on a mission - stay away from commitment so that he cannot repeat his father's disappearing act. His self imposed exile has not made him happy, but he can't seem to break out of the cycle.
We are treated to some funny moments between the friends, some sexy ones between Noah and Emma, and some deep ones when Noah finally sees his father again. But best of all, we get hopefulness and the promise of a lasting romance between the two leads.
An easy read, with a sweet story and some great side characters who will feature in future books, I am sure.
Falling for her Brother's Best Friend is the first in a new series about a group of best friends who have sisters who are also best friends. I was intrigued by the premise of this series. Having these three couples find love with each other should be fun to watch. The first couple up is Noah and Emma. Friends to lovers is among my favorite tropes in romance.
I enjoyed this romance. I thought it was a really sweet and quick read. Noah was definitely a tortured soul. He had spent the last 7 years moving from place to place as part of his job. His fear of commitment and turning out like his father was understandable. Emma had always dated losers and had always had a crush on Noah. I liked that this couple had some history. I thought Noah's nickname for her was cute, especially after finding out the reason for it. There was one instance where I thought that Emma kind of went a little overboard in thinking Noah had given up on them a bit too soon without finding out all of the facts. But, it all worked out in the end.
I do recommend giving this one a shot. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.
For Emma, Noah, Ryan, Ginny, Patrick and Carol emotions run deep, bonds are strong and relationships will be tested. The Tea for Two series is about friendship, love and family all in a small town. Noah and Emma learn some tough lessons about love, life and heartache in book one: Falling For Her Brother's Best Friend. Emma is fed - up with dating the jerks of the world. Her heart longs for a Mr. Right but her ego just can't stand the blows. When her first love returns to town, her willpower, their friendship and the stability of their little circle of friends may not survive the shakeup. Real life drama meets small town serenity on the road to second chances. Ms. Adams is off to a fine start.
Falling For Her Brother’s Best Friend is a somewhat cliched story. Younger sister has humongous crush on older brother’s best friend who doesn’t realize she’s alive, much less a grown woman. There’s even an embarrassing pet name! I expected a sweet, simple story full of romance. There was more tension and drama than I expected because Noah has got issues. Seriously, the man is messed up. Worse? He knows it and instead of doing something about it, wallows in his messed-up-ness. I didn’t much care for the man. Yeah, he’s hot and successful. Otherwise, he’s a bad friend and can’t communicate to save his (love) life.
Emma was too sweet for her own good. Her emotions are stifled. I seriously wish I could get over heartbreak as easily as her. And while many say that to forgive is divine, I say it seems weak. I didn’t much like Emma.
I enjoyed the interaction between the friends and the setting of small-town Americana. Adams is a talented writer and this comes shining through the story.
If you’re looking for a quick, beach read, this is one to give a try.
This was my first book by this author and I loved the blurb amd the idea of the book. Unfortunately, I was never able to make a connection to the characters.I felt there was too much drama and not enough of the couple. I did like the friendships in the book and how they supported each other!
I'm not going to lie, this is probably my favorite premise to read about in a novel. I love the brothers best friend books.
I liked how Emma's man fast is pretty much non-existent in this novel, because how can you be on a man fast when the boy/man you have always had a thing for finally reciprocates?
This was sweet and spicy. I liked the simplicity of the novel overall.
