Books in P.T.'s BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS series:
* ETHAN (Prequel Novella 0.5) (ETHAN is written in Ethan's point-of-view and can be read before or after BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS and LUCID)
Just when you think they've settled into their life and love, Sebastian and Talia's past continues to cross into their present. This time, they are trying to plan the "wedding" they should've had with their friends and family but it's not so simple for these two and like before they suspense and twists are on point.
Talia is reevaluating some of her priorities after someone else's decision puts her in a bad spot. Sebastian is missing his wife and not at all happy that she wants to follow some pre-wedding traditions. Their intimacy is sweet and hella sexy.
The secondary characters continue to be a great asset to the story with their very distinct and well defined development throughout the series. I am absolutely going to continue the series and will check out more from the author.
Safety: No others for either in this book. No rape though heroine has a history of physical and sexual abuse. Yes to physical abuse.
Just when you thought Sebastian & Talia was settling into their new life trouble always follows. As they get ready for their nuptials the upcoming wedding is derail with tragedy surrounding the Blake family. Now Mister Black & Little Red must race against the clock to find the new mystery that always seems to find them. Blackie past keeps finding him but this time Bash will deal with the problem himself. Now with the threat directly aim at Talia she gets a new body guard that will ensure her safety is his first priority. It seems as though with each case they solve the deeper their love for each grows. They find that they love working together and maybe they should make it permanent. Love Mister Black & Little Red adventures this series is a must read.
I been waiting for this book to be released for a while that once it got released I had to buy it the same day. And let me say that the wait was definitely well worth it.... Yet again P.T Michelle brought a book that it's just perfectly written. We see Talia and Sebastian as one which is the best part. The threat on the family is so intense and seeing Cass and Calder again was just the perfect combo. You definitely need to read this book it will NOT disappoint you!!!
I was given the opportunity to beta read Black Platinum. It was wonderful to delve back into Talia and Sebastian's world. Talia and Sebastian are inherently interesting and story-worthy because of the built-in excitement with their jobs. Talia is an investigative reporter and Sebastian through his work running BLACK security. In this book, those outside roles play a big part even an Talia and Sebastian are preparing to renew their vows in front of friends and family. I love the way PT Michelle twists and turns the plot, keeping the mystery and suspense building through the novel. I also loved the many emotional and quiet moments we got with some of our favorite characters. And I can't even go into how much I loved the wedding...
While reading the prior books in the series would definitely up the enjoyment of Black Platinum, it would actually read as a standalone novel, too.
Black Platinum: A Billionaire SEAL Story (In the Shadows Book 6)
The continuous love story of Talia and Sebastian. You are invited to the remarried of Talia and Sebastian. At the wedding rehearsal Isabelle is killed and the Blake are all on alert. Will Sebastian find out who is threatening his family? Great story.
I almost wish PT Michelle would have let this series end with Calder and Cass rather than add this on. There was so much wrong with this book that it overtakes the right. It's so unfortunate, because I Loved Seb and Talia in the early books. I found Seb to be only a borderline Alpha in this book, I miss the strong Alpha he was. Talia's personality hem haws.... there's a reason for this (no spoilers), but I don't have to like it.
My biggest complaint: situations/alterations are just skimmed over. How to explain? I don't like when a conflict or treat is resolved by the author quickly (like in one paragraph) and then they move on to quickly. I feel less involved, more like a on outside not getting the full story or that they were rushed.
The best part, and nope not everyone will agree, but I love when a author doesn't go back and retell the stories from previous books. You better remember who did what in the past books or you're going to get very few clues/reminders. I LOVE that. Please don't spoon feed me the same info on every book. That being said DO NOT READ THIS AS A STANDALONE! You will really won't like this book of you don't.
Second best part: their vows. These two defiantly have a way with words and symbolism.
3.5 stars. If you've read the series, you need to see where Seb and Talia are heading. Next book is also a Seb/Talia book, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get another Cass/Calder too. That being said of the next book is like this one and not like the first, I'll be far less inclined to continue reading ANYTHING more in this series.
Black Platinum by P.T. Michelle is book 6 in the "In the Shadows" series. I have not yet read the previous books in this series but feel that I would enjoyed their story more if I had done so. It seems that Sebastian and Talia had met in the First Book in this series called "Mister Black". Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this book so much that I am plan on trying to read the others in this series. Also, the author did a good job of setting their story up so it was no real issue but I thought to put that in so someone starting the series might want to start from the top. Sebastian and Talia were married in a quick wedding with no family or friends it seems. So now after everything has settled she wants to do the Traditional Wedding with their family and friend. But in addition to that there is some interesting drama story line where maybe things are as settled as you would think. The next book "Reddest Black" will cover even more of Talia and Sebastian.
Black Platinum by Author P. T. Michelle is book 6 in the In the Shadows series. This story can be read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed starting with the first book in the series, Mister Black.
“This is peace. No matter what goes on out there, being inside you and feeling your heat surrounding me…you always ground me.”
Welcome back, Mister Black! Oh gosh. I adore Sebastian. He is back in all of his alpha-male glory. Just a few pages in, and I was sucked back into his gravitational pull. I fell in love with Author P. T. Michelle's writing in Mister Black...melt me to the floor. Sebastian was a dream man, and Talia was the stubborn love-of-his-life that broke through his cold exterior and brought both of them home. Time has passed since Talia and Sebastian's first meeting, but the heat level in their relationship has not suffered at all. If anything, they are more passionate and forward intimately than before. Black Platinum stayed true to the previous books in the series on many levels, giving me the swift pace of a storyline that I have to expect from this author. There wasn't a moment of boredom, the characters and events driving this story like a sleek, smooth, and fast ride.
“Keep you in our hearts and minds.”
Coming to the end, my heart couldn't possibly have been any more full. Author P. T. Michelle captured the essence of this couple and, in the last pages, gave a finale worthy of a standing ovation as love and family ruled the day.
Black Platinum by P.T Michelle is a interesting, exciting story which is full of the couple we love best-Talia and Sebastian . In this book, their outside jobs are what cause conflict between the couple as they are preparing to renew their vows. There are threats to the married couple and it could come from several sources and this hits them as they are preparing to get married and there is some interesting family drama which effects Talia and also there is family drama also hitting Sebastian. How they handle it will be felt in possible other book(s). Their love is something different, something stronger and I liked reading that because it isn’t a flash, its bond is strong and isn’t easily broken but it must be nurtured and in this story, that is something they have to find a balance on. The passion and heat burns just as hot and strong as the other books in this series.
The next book "Reddest Black" will cover even more of Talia and Sebastian.
My Rating: 4.8 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
It's taken me a while to get to Black Platinum, and I enjoyed reading it as much as I did the first time Talia and Sebastian came on the scene.
Sebastian aka Bash and Talia made quite an impression when they were first introduced. They are now well within a settled relationship, and even planning a wedding for family and friends to witness.
The plans don't go as anticipated. With new threats on the horizon, the danger they face is life threatening. This book kept me in suspense right until the time that the guilty parties are revealed. There are hints as to whom it might be, but the revelation of the identities of the baddies and their motives for their vicious persuits come as a real shocker.
Sebastian and Talia make an extraordinary couple. Their unconditional love is something to behold. The other members of the Black Security Team are as supportive as ever. The Blake family portrayal is unsure in certain areas, and I like the way it all comes together in the end. This is a fabulous addition to the series.
If you have followed the stories of Talia and Sebastian Blake you know that they are hot, seductive books with characters that you fall in love with and you just want more when you read those words the end it breaks your heart. Their love is something different, something stronger, something we all crave for. The stories you just want to keep going because they touch all of your hearts strings. You feel like you know the characters in the stories and you want to see where and what happens next. Even though you want more of the book you still feel full from the stories no disappointments happen and they are everything a book is supposed to be.
I literally absorb anything Talia and Sebastian related (which includes the books on Cass and Calder) and this one was no different. I loved that this one had a little more action than erotica. The threats to Talia and Sebastian lives were real and a problem that no other duo could neutralize other than Little Red and Mister Black. The death that comes in the story isn't one that I was sad over, seeing as though I already knew the back story, but I understand that it was necessary for the story to progress. It was great to see Talia work her investigative magic under BLACK security instead her news stories for the Tribune. This was a really fun read and I can't WAIT to read book 7. I'm SOO excited about their new addition.
This series follows A few couples but this review is for the books that follow Sebastian and Talia. These are two people who fate has brought together time and time again since they were kids. But they let things come between them, well more accurately Talia Lets things come between them. Sebastian on the other hand knows what he wants and it’s her. There’s not a lot of space in the series because it’s more about the love story and the trials they go through to be together because they are truly made for each other, they don’t make sense with anybody else. I loved these books because you truly are drawn in to their love story and their pain. There are trigger warnings for these books sexual and childhood abuse.
Sebastian and Talia are finally going to tie the knot. Well, a second time that is. Tragedy strikes on the eve of their wedding. Now, they have to figure out who was the actual target. Sebastian remains his usual over protective, compelling, virile, sexy self while trying to cocoon Talia against danger. Talia is still as independent, spirited, nurturing and loving as ever and will do anything to ease Sebastian's way in life, especially when it comes to family. Their live grows daily if not minute by minute. Lots of intigue and suspense in play in this book. Very compelling and highly entertaining reading.
Brilliant read. I fell head over heels with Bash again if that's even possible. The possessive, domineering alpha male just rocks my socks.
Secrets are disclosed to some, threats are murderous but what rings threw is that family means everything. Sebastian Blake is the most unselfish man I've ever met ( he is REAL you know!)
The love he and Talia have just radiates and having the same issues as Seb, I just connect with him on a personnel level and just adore PT Michelle for her accuracy on his condition / challenges.
I very much enjoy this series. I love the nuances between Sebastian and Talia and the way the secondary characters are pulled more into the foreground in this particular book. It seems no matter how hard they try Seb and Talia's two pasts intersect yet again, and again, in not so good of a way. I do have to say that the story, no matter how good, was a bit predictable. Now, there were some twists and turns and a couple of times I even said, "I didn't see that coming." The wedding, when it finally happened, was awesome. Of course, it's sets us up for the next book which I've already purchased and can't wait to dive into.
This book totally surprised me. Not what I expected from the teaser of the book. I almost didn’t read it because I didn’t think there was anything left to say about Talia & Bash’s story. I certainly didn’t want to read a whole book about a wedding. It turns out, the author wasn’t done with the story at all and there is more to say about one of my all-time favorite couple. But more importantly, there is more intrigue, adventure and action left to their story and at the end of the book I wanted more. And there will be more, so I’m happy about that !
I loved this entire series and I could hardly wait for Platinum Black to come out. I love Talia she's such a kick butt heroine! She's smart, strong, passionate and stubborn. Talia and Sebastian definitely make the perfect team! I love that the two are always doing something to remind the other how much they love them. It was awesome to see how well Sebastian does with little Josi. She is so adorable. It really makes me want to see Sebastian and Talia with a family of their own. Their newest adventures reaffirmed their belief that Family Comes First.
Reading a PT Michelle book is like coming home after being in the desert starved and dehydrating!!
And this author knocks it out of the park again with book #6 Black Platinum. Talia and Sebastian are one of my absolute favorite couples so knowing their story isn't quite over makes me so very happy!
PT's attention to detail is one of the things I love about her writing. Her little things are actually huge in the grand scheme. Her story telling is so effortless and flows so easily it's hard to put her books down! Another 5 star read from me!!
What a great return to Bash and Talia's story. This book is only about 176 pages, but reads like a much longer book. It has all or our favorite characters from past books as well. We get to see both of these characters continue to grow as people and as a couple, as well as solve another life threatening mystery. As usual, there is some STEAM!. How could you have Sebastian without some serious alpha steam? Great emotion from these very complex characters. Fabulous read. I can't wait for the next volume.
Their stories are long long time ago, I really forget what they shared. The business, the families, the hate n love, I can't bring myself fall into their wedding because I almost forget everything black n red had.
Too many incidents during their wedding that distract us how lovely n sweet their wedding should be. Anyway, happy to know it still have one more of them even I don't know will follow up it or not.
Sebastian and Talia are officially married; however, they decided to have a wedding ceremony in front of their family and friends. This story was definitely well worth the wait. Strong relationships and bonds were formed while secrets came to light and changed the course of the future. Drama, action and true love were front and center in this book. I'm looking forward to reading about the next chapter in this couple's life. Highly recommend this book and the entire series. Happy Reading!
OMG, this book certainly did not disappoint! Sebastian and Talia are having an official wedding, or renewing their vows, but as usual nothing in their lives is ever just easy or normal. This story is so full of suspense, excitement, murder, kidnapping, betrayal and love! You will be kept in awe, and so intense with all the Alpha Black security, that revolves around Sebastian and Talia❤️!! Enjoy their story😊.
All I can say about this book is that it's got everything one could possibly want in a great novel. I love the characters (as I did before), the intrigue, the absolute love and red hot passion. The story had me from the beginning and I saw sides of Sebastian and Talia that I had not seen before. Beautiful and endearing qualities and an amazing amount of strength and courage. I can hardly wait until October for the next book.
This was a wonderful read which I absolutely had to give five stars because not only was the storyline well thought out but it was delivered with all the tension and suspense to make it unputdownable right to the very end. The character's were very believable with their quirks and imperfections but pulled you in to the story. I look forward to my next read from PT Michelle.
Black Platinum by PT Michelle is the sixt book in the Shadows Series. Black Platinum can be read as a standalone, but I recommend to read the books in order. This is Sebastian and Talia´s story. Both are to be married soon. But enemies and a nosy bride threaten to destroy these plans. I was well entertained by the book and can´t wait to read the conclusion to Sebastian and Talia´s story. I give 4,5 stars. Thank you, PT Michelle !
