“She wasn’t exactly sure when it happened. Or even when it started. All she knew for sure was that right here and now, she was falling hard and she could only pray that he was feeling the same way." A redefined and reinvented KinZu Nobel has consumed enough heartache to last a lifetime. The perplexity of a relationship is much too daunting, so she's placed a lock on her solicitous heart. Replacing love, she masks the desire with money and the finest material possessions. Her newly found paramour is none other than the familiar chiming of her phone, alerting her of a fresh deposit. Swimmingly, KinZu has become the highest paid escort in the city of Philly. Averaging 100k per client, settlement is the furthest from her mental. However, upon a chanced assemblage, KinZu is left to combat the undeniable allurement of the embossed, blue-eyed, gun-totting, rude, handsome Frenchman -Saeed Chaplin. KinZu slips, falling without hope, into his arms. She countermands her very own beliefs, allowing the deadly drug known as love to penetrate her being. Unfortunately, she's completely unaware of the forbidden favors that she's indulging in. For once, KinZu wonders if love will lead the way, or will she be just as lost as before when the foundation finally crumbles?
You did it again with Kenzu and Saaed. They are going to be great. Both of them have similar ways and not use to answering to anyone. Saaed likes to dominate any situation so I can't wait for him to dominate Kenzu. He is the one to heal all of her hurt.
I really could have done without Kinzu story. It wasn't as exciting as Bella, Kelly and Reed story. Why keep calling Saeed the handsome, gun toting, rude, bluet eyed Frenchman. Like that really got on my nerves. Then she still mad at Jonathan after all these years like girrrrl yah was young get over it. No one bad her have an abortion that was all on her.
I love Mercy B down but this book was so dang boring…. It really could’ve been a novella Kinzu could’ve stayed a supporting character …. And if I see the word “rude, blue-eyed, gun toting, handsome Frenchmen”in any other book referred to Saeed im just gonna close the book.
I won’t lie, I wanted more of Kinzu and Saeed story. Getting the rude gun toting Frenchman to open up, be got a glimpse in Bella and Meeks story but I wanted not just the beginning of their story but ending, like Kinzu getting the baby she always wanted
I finished this book. I didn't care for it. There were several things that just didn't do it for me. i like books by Mercy B but this one just wasn't it.
Mercy B is awesome man! This book was amazing from start to finish. She's definitely growing aa an author. The only negative is the editing which I've noticed is a really big problem when it comes to African American urban fiction books. Hopefully she'll get a new editor. Besides that, she's a really great story teller and I cannot wait for her upcoming releases. All of her older books are really good as well so I know she will not disappoint.
I didn't put this book down not once, I mean I couldn't I was HOOKED from the beginning. I didn't even realize I was holding my breath at the end, until I had no choice but to exhale. I can't wait for pts 2 . Mercy B you've done it again and I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next, but whatever it is I'm sure It'll leave us speechless...
It's going down you can't change who you love and I truly believe that the Frenchman has met his match this was asked to read well put together well applied and well delivered the characters with lovable I mean I actually love the characters in this book even Jonathan with his Foul azz I can't wait for the next part you go girl you never seem to fail me out freaking standing
this book was so good and I really wish their was more to the story but I still loved it and more so Im happy that kinzu found someone worthy of her cause Jonathan omg I couldn't stand his guts and im glad he was hurting because he deserves to have his feelings hurt hopefully there is a book for saeku too cause I wanted to find out what she been going through and she would make the perfect match for dade.
The storyline was great, the book had me glued from beginning to end. I really hope that Saeed could be that one true love for KenZu because she really needs it, but I think his wife Ana might be a problem. Dade and SaeKu could be something great, but I'm dying to know her story cause it seems like she's going through alot. Can't wait for part 2, I know it's going to be interesting
I want to give this story 20 stars five is just not enough. I love every story written by Mercy but this one right here is now my all time favorite. Not going to tell you the story line or give out any hints but this was so riveting that you can't put it down till the very end and then you are going to be like woah!!! Can't wait till the next segment.
Omg I love this book it was so different the concept of the book was wonderful I'm just wondering what's gonna happen in book 2 all of the ladies seems to be happy in some sort of way will you fix ku wound so she can have babies and I wonder what's wrong with sea
Wait she finds out the rest..... Out of anybody the mute.....didn't see to much special bout him. She needed that closure from Johnathan. Low is a mess, hopefully her husband understands. Can't wait for Dade n Saeku So happy for Reed n Keen
This was a different but interesting read. I didn't give it a three because it was bad but because it wasn't what I normally crave for but it was a decent read for me.
Stella Rosa Black ***** Mercy has created a bunch of interesting characters, and then thrown them into a story full of sex, love!! A completely relaxing book with some vine... Can't wait for part 2.
