Perhaps my 3-star rating is a little unfair as the book was not what I was looking for. This book was aimed more at businesses than at writers. It offered some helpful ideas on drawing people to your home page, getting them to sign up for your newsletter and sample your project. It was straightforward with lots of examples. For a businessperson, it would be a good introduction to developing your homepage.

An easy read packed with good tips

If you want to make your page pop, it’s well worth reading this book. From the first step to the last it’ll get your creative juices flowing and working.

A Must Read

It's detailed, no fluff, you can feel the writers passion about the subject. She's honest about her way of doing things, but encourages you to pick and choose, by offering a list of alternative choices. :) I plan on reading her other books.

Easy read, just grab a notebook and take some notes. You will definitely know how to address the pains/problems of your clients.

Good & easy to apply tips

If you’re new to writing web copy for a homepage, this gives you good advice you can easily implemente with some brainstorming session on your end

I screwed up,,,

I wish I had read this before I built my website! Now my website has been fairly effective but not nearly as effective as if I had used the tips from this book. Thanks so much for putting this information out there!

Phony "Free Gifts" - Lying Author

The author keeps urging the reader to go to her website and register for free resources. But once she collects your email address, you are informed that you are not authorized and are bumped off her site. Why should I trust anything this author says? Sorry I wasted my time.
