Infected by Alana Terry is a Christian thriller which I really enjoyed. It is the sixth book in the Kennedy Stern series but can be read as a stand-alone.
I have read all the books in the series so far and it was great to catch up with familiar faces. I was completely engrossed in the action with its twists and turns. The ending caught me completely by surprise.
God is at the centre. There are old and new Christians. The new ones question all the time - both eager to grow and wondering why being a Christian does not guarantee a smooth ride through life.
The prosperity gospel was discussed and dismissed. Our faith has nothing to do with the size of our wallet and everything to do with the state of our heart.
Sacrificial love was the order of the day.
Prayer is vital. Prayer chains in times of trouble can uphold us.
God desires a relationship with us. Religion can motivate for harm. Relationship is always based on love.
There is loss. "Demanding God to tell her why." Knowing the answers will not always help. God is big enough to take our anger. He wants us to maintain our relationship with Him and keep our eyes fixed on Him.
Nothing surprises God. He sees and knows it all.
Infected is another cracking novel from Alana Terry. It is a fabulous series.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

Alana Terry has written another suspenseful story in the Kennedy Stern, which is full of twists and turns and tackling questions that Christians struggle with in their walk. Be prepared not to put this down, once you start.
Kennedy is looking forward to a relaxing spring break from Havard by watching her friend's Carl and Sandy, son Woong while they take a getaway. Meanwhile in the US an epidemic is brewing with the numbers rising including right in their state of MA. Just when Kennedy are enjoying their time together, they get a dreaded phone call Has Woong been exposed? Will Woong get sick? What about Carl and Sandy are they safe from the epidemic? How will Kennedy deal with all of this this as she still is recovering from her past tragedies? You will have to read the book, because I don't want to spoil any of it.
In the midst of the craziness Kennedy's roommate, Willow finds love.
I highly recommend you read this book, even if you haven't read any in the series, although you will want to after reading this well written suspense book.
One of the themes of book is unanswered prayers and why God doesn't answer all our prayers they way we would like.
I received this book from the author on bookfun.com for my honest opinion.

Infected is the most dramatically powerful and gripping novel of those I have read in the Kennedy Sterns series to date. It shows Kennedy’s spiritual and emotional growth even as her faith and courage intensify through and resulting from the events endured. While it is not for the faint of heart, it is for those who learn through Kennedy’s spiritual challenges.

As a pre-med student in her sophomore year at Harvard, Kennedy is a self-described germaphobe. Germ-X is a staple in her life. She is not OCD, however, simply someone who has learned how easy it is for people to contract infections of various kinds. This reader definitely appreciates Kennedy’s proactive behavior since only someone who had discounted the germ thing for many years was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. Germ-X is now a blessing! Kennedy’s father in China keeps her updated on almost any infectious disease in the world, it seems, so when he began tracking the Nipah virus, she wasn’t as proactive as he hoped. Once the virus was found in the New England states, however, entire cities began to shut down.

Kennedy has been babysitting 10-year old Woong, adopted son of Pastor Carl and his wife Sandy. It was going to be for one night through the following evening while they went out of town to celebrate their anniversary. Woong is an amazingly active little boy; I never knew a child could ask so many non-stop questions! His school teacher went to the ER with suspicious symptoms and the school was closed until whether she had the virus was ascertained. Due to that, Carl and Sandy headed back to town earlier than anticipated. Thankfully Kennedy’s friend Willow arrived shortly before Sandy called asking for them to bring Woong to the ER. Sandy took Carl straight there instead of stopping home, but the girls have no idea why. After they brought Woong to Sandy, they were at the doors when the guard closed and lock them. Nobody will tell them why or for how long – a terrifying reality for a germaphobe and a very active young woman to sit in the ER lobby with the worst possible thoughts running through their minds.

With each new novel, this reader appreciates just how complex Kennedy and Willow are. The author puts her all into growing the two young women and seeing them into, then through, difficult and/ or life-threatening situations. While some of the occurrences in this novel are potentially devastating, I anticipate seeing how Kennedy and Willow grow as a result of the events.

I like watching how the author shows Kennedy’s questions of faith, and suggestions she received from Sandy, through very recent weeks. The author takes a spiritual discipline and a potential pitfall to faith, both of which are challenging to believers of any age, shows Kennedy’s concerns, thoughts, and questions about, and reflects these challenges through Kennedy. I believe that those are things that will be particularly beneficial to young and new adult readers; the spiritual discipline I wish is one I had learned long ago! It is also good to see or hear references to characters from prior novels, such as the parents of both girls. I highly recommend Infected to readers of any age, especially older teens and college age, who appreciate novels about young believers and events that could occur anywhere in our country today.

From a grateful heart: I was given this eBook by Book Fun (The Book Club Network) and here is my honest review.

I swear these books get shorter and shorter

Poor Kennedy. She can't catch a break.
Kennedy took Willow to meet the Lindgrens when they got back from Alaska, to help Willow get some answers to her questions about her new faith. Sandy gave them a beginner's Bible study and the girls started through it, but Willow seemed to lose interest. Kennedy isn't sure how to help her. And then, for Spring break, while Kennedy will spend time with the Lindgrens, Willow has plans for a trip to NYC with her old friends. Kennedy is concerned but not sure what to do. She just tries to pray - and peppers her new boyfriend, the police chaplain, with questions about theology.
Meanwhile, there is an epidemic of a new virus called Nipah. (Keep in mind, this was written a while ago, because I have had these books for years now). It can take someone from feeling well enough to too sick to stand up in a very short time. In the book, the virus started up in Bangladesh with a farmer getting sick. Kennedy's father is somewhat of a germophobe (which he has passed down to Kennedy), esp. where Kennedy is concerned, and he keeps texting and calling her as he tries to keep her safe.
Kennedy is going to watch over Woong, while Carl and Sandy go on an anniversary trip. She takes Woong to school and back, and as she's picking him up, he says he had a sub teacher, that his teacher was feeling very sick and got to go home early. Next thing that happened, Woong's school closed; Sandy called to check in with Kennedy and Woong and decided to go home...then Sandy called and said Carl felt sick and asked Kennedy to bring Woong to the ER. Meanwhile, Willow had stopped by and she and Kennedy had a long talk about Christianity since the trip to NYC was cancelled. Nick jas atopped buy earlier to take rhe car to get supplies, so when they get Sandy's call to bring Woong, Willow takes them. They're about to leave when the hospital locks down. There is a family who decided to use natural cures for their son's cancer since he had been through so much misery, and the state tried to take the child away so the mother capitulated but the police found blueprints of the ER and bomb making equipment at their home. While Nick and Willow are getting along famously in the ER, Dominic has sent a cop to bring both the girls to safety, but he brings only Kennedy. Then an announcement over the TV shows Woong's picture, telling everyone that kids and adults who've come into contact with him should watch for symptoms of the new virus. Kennedy ends up getting up close and personal with the distraught Dad whether she will or not, because the dad hid in a closet in the conference room in which she was supposed to be safe.
Hownwill it all end? Do Carl, Woong, and Woong's teacher have the new virus? Will Willow and Kennedy amd all their friends end up with it? How did Nixk end up with a bandage on his head? Where is the bomb? Can Dominic talk down the desperate father?

I am loving each book in this series. Kennedy has become like a friend and I love how she is such a strong character. The focus of this book is about illness and prayer. What would you do if a family member was so sick that doctors gave very little hope for recovery? I remember when my youngest son became very ill. He was having seizures and red bumps all over his body. What stands out in my mind even now is when my son kept saying Jesus over and over in ICU. He then turned to me and said," Mommy I see Jesus in the doorway. He is smiling at me. I'm gonna be fine." All I can remember is thinking , oh the faith of a child. This book reminds me that prayer is powerful and to never give up.

Kennedy finds herself once again in a situation that could endanger her life. There is a possible global outbreak of a germ that could cost many lifes. Kennedy has really grown in her spiritual life over the last several books . This particular story really shows her depth as a Christian . When she finds herself in a lockdown at the hospital where she was visiting someone, the action rises several degrees. I was blown away by the threat she was in and I felt a calmness come over her that she seemed to not have before. I won't give anything away because this one story has such a powerful message that I had to stop reading for a bit.

What would you do if a family member or friend was extremely ill? Would you have faith and trust God? Why does he heal some people and not others? These are some very hard questions that the book tackles with insight and wisdom. I loved how much Willow has grown spiritually and her curious mind asks questions that Kennedy is not sure how to answer. Through the trials Kennedy experiences in this story, I sense a weariness. The author surrounds Kennedy with people that are there to lift her up and I know she will find her way back from sadness.

Each character really compliments the other with their interactions and deep love for God. I can't forget about a sweet little boy named Woong. He is a great little kid with so many questions. I did laugh as he continued his non-stop questions that even I wasn't sure how to answer. The author has done an exceptional job of keeping readers on the edge of their seat as we continue to enjoy Kennedy and those that are important to her. I really liked the discussion questions at the end of the book . They are questions I think we have all asked at one time. I am excited to know that another Kennedy book will coming out soon. Thank you for always writing with compassion as you write about tough subjects . I am a huge fan and continue to grow spiritually through your books.

Why Did I Choose This Book:

I've enjoyed this series so much that it's taken me less than a month to read through all of it. When I finished the 5th book in the series I was disappointed to learn that book #6 hadn't been released yet. I pre-ordered it right away, then went ahead and contacted the author, asking her if she'd consider sending me an early copy so I could review it, and she graciously agreed. *cue excitement*

What Did I Think of This Book:

I was in the middle of another book at the time I received this book, so I didn't get around to diving into Infected until a day or two after I received it. Then the book drew me in, intrigued me, and made me want to keep reading, reading, reading. (And that I did, until I finally finished the book a little after one last night.)

Once again Miss Alana delivered a winner. The characters are well-developed, unique, and stay true to who they are, while having believable character growth. The book starts out at a slow pace - something I really like, because it has time for me to enjoy the characters before the action begins; kinda like visiting with friends. All my favorite characters were back in this book, including Dominic. I was *so* happy to see Dominic and only wish he'd have been in more scenes. (And, that's all I'll say, even though it's hard to stop there, because I don't want to have any spoilers.)

As always Kennedy responded to things in such a different way than I would, which made it intriguing to see the world from her point of view. I like how her parents play a clear part in the book, even when they physically haven't been present in any of them.

One of the main characters in this book is Wrong, a little boy who was adopted from Korea. He was written so realistically that even I felt tired listening to the many questions he asked Kennedy; he also reminded me of a kid I know. His questions, appetites, and random hang-ups ("No, that's not good grammar, you have to say it this way!"), made him a charming, albeit somewhat annoying child. (It's clear Miss Alana knows how to write kids well.)

This book deals with issues about why God allows sickness. This is a subject I have thought about and studied a lot due to fighting a disease for nearly a third of my life. Once again I felt like the book was mostly about asking questions on this topic, not giving answers, which in reality is fine and didn't bother me in the other books. Since this topic is so close to me though, I really wished that the subject of living in a sin cursed world, and the fact that *that's* why there's sickness in the world, would have been brought up. Because of that being absent, the book fell just-just-just short of the four-star mark for me. (I rarely give out four-stars for books - in fact, the Kennedy Stern series has received most of my four-star ratings for the last two months of fiction reading, with half the books in the series reaching that allusive status.)

After the first part of the book the pace really picked up, and a few plot twists occurred. As always the writing was well done, the plot well crafted, and the storyline intriguing. I did find myself skimming a bit of Kennedy's internal monologs at times, simply because I *had* to find out what was happening next.

Conclusion:

If you like reading well-written contemporary books with non-detailed violence, then I highly recommend this series. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series....

Rating:

I'm giving Infected 3 out of 5 stars, and 7 out of 10.

Infected, by Alana Terry is book 6 in an amazing Christian suspense series. This series is about a young college premed student, Kennedy Stern. Her parents live in another county, and she has come to the United States to go to school.

In this book, Kennedy is taking care of Woong, the 10 year old adopted son of Pastor Carl and his wife Sandy so they can get away for their anniversary. At the time there is a virus, Nipah, that is spreading and people are starting to panic. Her father is calling her constantly. While she is watching Woong, his teacher is sent home from school and is being suspected of having Nipah. The epidemic is spreading, school is closed and the air port is canceling flights. Kennedy’s room mate is schedules to go on school break but cannot due to canceled flights, so she goes to be with Kennedy and Woong.

Just as Carl and Sandy should be coming home, Sandy calls that Carl is going to the hospital and she wants Kennedy to bring Woong to them. While at the hospital, the hospital goes into lock down. A father of a patient has come with explosives and Kennedy is taken under her boyfriend’s orders to a safe area. What they do not know is the father is hiding where Kennedy is taken. While this is happening, Woong developed symptoms of Nipah.

This is a very fast moving suspense story that focuses on why God allows some people to get sick and even die. Kennedy’s room mate is struggling with being a new Christian and has a lot of questions.

I really enjoyed this book. It is full of suspense, a little romance and a lot of caring and compassion. The story and the characters are very well defined. I did not read the entire series, but I was able to follow this story very easily. I like how the author has written in Woong’s character and the way he pronounces his words. I especially like this character. He has a lot of history in such a short life. I think anyone who enjoys Christian suspense will enjoy this series. I do recommend reading it in order.

I received a copy of this book from the author and BookClub Network. I have written an honest review.

I have read several of the Kennedy Stern novels that Alana has written. I have enjoyed getting to know Kennedy's character and follow along as she grows spiritually in her walk with the Lord and in her life. If you don't know Kennedy, she is the daughter of a couple in Alana's North Korea series who run a business in China, but use their business as a cover up for spreading the gospel and helping North Korean refugees.

Kennedy is in college in Boston, and learning to survive on her own thousands of miles away from her parents. Thankfully she has Pastor Carl and his wife Sandie to support and encourage her. Due to some recent happenings in her life she also suffers from PTSD. Her PTSD flares up in the current Kennedy novel, when she becomes confined to a hospital during a lock-down period, while an extremely contagious virus seems to be sweeping the country.

A new-to-me character in this book (because I skipped a few in between the last one and this one) is Carl and Sandie's little boy Woong adopted from North Korea. He is a typical young child, and his endless questions almost gave me a headache. Guess I haven't had very young children around in a while.

I was excited to see that Willow, Kennedy's roommate had gotten saved. She was full of questions concerning the faith, and how God works, most of which Kennedy has a hard time answering. I was also a bit surprised to find out who Kennedy's latest boyfriend is.

The plot was intriguing and had some unexpected twists. Alana' s books are mostly food for thought on hot topics. This book is mostly geared towards why God allows sickness. She gives argument for all sides and kind of just lets the reader decide what they think. In her books there are usually more questions than answers.

This is another well crafted novel in the Kennedy Stern series for teens. Besides having great characters and plot, I like how Terry always has an interesting topic as part of the novel.

In this novel, Kennedy is on break from college and will take care of Woong, the adopted son of her good friends Sandy and Carl while they take a short vacation. This happens during a deadly virus outbreak. Woong's school is closed when a teacher goes home sick. And then Sandy calls, informing Kennedy that she's taken Carl to the hospital.

In this midst of this tension are the two best aspects of the book. First is the characters. That Woong is a kick! He keep asking questions in a nearly continuous monologue. That was a great representation of an inquisitive kid. And then there is Willow, Kennedy's college roommate. She got saved in the last novel and in this one she is full of difficult questions, just like a new believer. It is great seeing her heart changing.

And that brings up the second aspect, the issue of God and healing and medicine. Willow has many questions about God and healing. Why does He heal sometimes and not other times? What about flashy preachers who promise healing (for a donation)? How are we to really pray about illness and healing? Along with this thorny question is another issue. Is it a sign of lack of faith in God to take medicine for an illness? Does a Christian have the right refuse treatment and can the government force one to take the treatment?

Like the other books in the series, Terry provides a great discussion guide with questions at various levels of thought. This would make a very good book for a teen reading group. There is a good balance of character development and suspense. I highly recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. My comments are an independent and honest review.

Infected is #6 in the suspense-filled Kennedy Stern series by Alana Terry. Sophomore at Harvard, Kennedy, is on spring break and has agreed to watch Woong, her friends' adopted son, while they have a short time away. Easy-peasy, right? As usual, nothing is as expected. Probably the only normal thing for Kennedy is that her phone battery has died…again. A global epidemic, unforeseen medical issues, and a hospital lockdown have Kennedy again wondering what the Lord is doing in her life. Kennedy has endured a lifetime of experiences that strengthened her and yet left some ugly scars and with this story. Still struggling with PTSD, she again faces a deadly threat and again finds strength and comfort in her friends. The author brings up difficult questions that often arise in times of stress and illness...does God even hear our prayers, much less, answer? Does he heal all sickness and disease? If not, why? The portrayal of the characters is realistic. Woong a youngster of about 10 years old is super inquisitive and hungry all the time (so much like my own adopted 9-year-old grandson!) Willow, Kennedy’s roommate, is refreshingly real in her desire to learn more about this new life in Christ that she has taken on. Kennedy’s father is definitely a concerned, almost annoyingly so, father. Infected is full of suspense, drama and raw emotional stress and yet woven through it all is a sense that God does speak to us in His still small voice and brings a fullness of Himself despite our heartaches. Another great book by a favorite author.

Once again, Alana Terry’s intrepid heroine Kennedy Stern finds herself in a heap of trouble. All she wanted was to spend her college break relaxing and taking care of her pastor’s son Woong for a day or two. As readers of this author’s previous Kennedy Stern novels can guess “it’s not gonna happen!” Yes, Kennedy finds herself locked down in a hospital in the midst of an epidemic and no one will tell her anything. And it gets worse!

“Infected” is a modern suspense that can easily be read in the course of an evening. Its subject could easily be taken from tomorrow’s news but let’s hope not. Somehow Ms. Terry manages to combine riveting suspense, a bit of over-the-top humor, and biblical truth to make one compelling novel. I loved the scenes with Woong whose nonstop conversations peppered with endless questions were so entertaining. Unfortunately, not all is light and humorous in this novel but we’re not talking about that right now. Too sad. You will have to read it for yourself.

Thus far I have enjoyed most if not all of Terry’s Kennedy Stern novels. I would highly recommend that you give them all a try, including her latest installment “Infected”.

I voluntarily reviewed a digital copy of this book that was provided by the author. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

Infected
A Kennedy Stern Christian Suspense Novel #6
By Alana Terry

College life hasn't been quite what Kennedy was expecting but it all seems to be finally evening out. And spring break is looking to be pretty good - Sandy and Carl are going away on a short anniversary trip and she'll be watching Woong for them. And if her dad would quit freaking out with every single Nipah virus update she'd be even better. And she's hoping for a little time with her boyfriend Dominic while on break.

But plans are soon out the window when Nipah makes its presence known close to home. But shopper panic is the least of Kennedy's worries when she finds herself in the middle of a lockdown at the hospital and no outgoing contact with the outside world thanks to yet again a dead cell phone battery.

Kennedy is about to face yet again a trying situation in which her faith will be tested. And she'll face questions to which she isn't prepared to answer.

If you've enjoyed the previous books in the Kennedy Stern Suspense series you'll want to read this one as Kennedy continues her journey. This is another emotional journey and one that will tug at the reader's heart, it did mine, and bring a tear or two.

I was provided a free review copy of this book by the author with no expectations of a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Another exciting story in the Kennedy series by Alana Terry.  Infected takes us, once again, to a frightening event in young Kennedy's life where, not only is Kennedy's life at risk, but also the lives of her pastor Carl, his wife Sandy, their adopted son Woong, her roommate and best friend, Willow, and her new boyfriend, Dominic.  As you read, you will not only find out how all these people ended up in a hospital lockdown with their lives at risk, but you will also be privy to many thought provoking situations where prayer is required.  You will have the opportunity of seeing both Kennedy and Willow's prayer life developing, and also see how long-time Christians handle unexpected and fearful situations that arise in their lives.  As in all of Alana's books, the story can be read and enjoyed on its own, although your enjoyment will be enhanced by reading all the books in the series in order as you follow Kennedy through med. school.

This book is a page-turner and an easy-read.  You will 'whiz' right through it. Well done, Alana Terry. I highly recommend this book as a great read. It is suitable for all ages from young teens and up and I rate it as a 5.

I was given a free ARC of this book for an honest opinion.

Spring break..Yay! Kennedy volunteers to watch her friend's (the Lindgrens) little boy overnight while they celebrate their anniversary. Woong is an adopted child from South Korea, just learning the English language. With this comes lots of questions. Questions about life, and questions about God. Kennedy is able to answer a lot of the questions, but some are so theological deep that she just has no answers to give. This is where Dominic is needed most. Dominic is a Chaplin for the police department and Kennedy's boyfriend. Kennedy picks up Woong from school and learns that his regular teacher was out sick and the substitute teacher wore a mask while teaching. Odd at best. An epidemic is happening around the world. Has it reached her town too? When Mrs. Lingren calls telling Kennedy that she is taking her husband to the nearest hospital because he is very sick all the calm breaks loose! The hospital is put on lock down, with Kennedy being within the walls; but not for the reason you would first think. Lots of questions were raised in this book about God, social issues, and death. This book makes you think about all these things. Some of the questions were answered and some will have to wait until we reach heaven.

Infected, by Alana Terry, is book 6 in A Kennedy Stern Christian Suspense Novel. There is a global epidemic and Kennedy once again finds herself in the middle of a crisis! Kennedy is a college student who is dealing with some PTSD issues. She is also struggling with some relationships in her life.
Unfortunately, as she tries to be helpful to others, she often seems to get herself into trouble. Kennedy spends some time babysitting for a friend’s son, Woong, a very active grade school child, who continually asks questions and tries her patience. Can she keep him safe and healthy while his parents are out of town?
Infected is a clean, fairly fast-paced book, although it was a tad slow in the beginning. There are a few twists and turns that were unexpected. One of the main themes in the story seemed to be “Why does God allow bad things to happen to people?” Kennedy struggles to find answers to some of life’s tougher questions, and often turns to her very knowledgeable boyfriend for help. In the midst of this story she learns what it really means to “lay down one’s life for a friend.”

Alana Terry did it again! “Infected” is a fantastic read. This book follows Kennedy Stern as there is a scare in the town of a deadly virus. Kennedy finds herself in the town hospital and living a nightmare. But the nightmare ends up not being what you think it would be! You need to read this book to see what I’m talking about. Alana had some few twists and turns in this book that I never saw coming. I love this! She also has a way of weaving a Christian message throughout her books without being “preachy.” Even though this book is the last book in the series, you don’t have to read the ones before to understand what is happening. This is also something I like about this series. I was able to read this book in 2 days! Alana Terry is an excellent author. She captures my attention from the first page, and I couldn’t wait to see how it ends. If you enjoy a good, clean and suspenseful read, you will love this book!

She has faced much but will she make it through this new danger?

Alana Terry has done it again! Taken a story that could easily be ripped from today's headlines. Our heroine is run through the wringer as she faces the same questions and struggles that Christians do each day in the morally and politically charged environment we live in.

Infected is chilling, heart-wrenching, and will leave readers gasping for breath even as they question their own thoughts on some hot-button topics. Grief and fear once again collide in Kennedy's life but the thin ray of hope is not extinguished as she moves forward one step at a time.

I've been a fan of the Kennedy Stern Christian Suspense series since book one. In each one Alana Terry takes on the tough things that we as Christians so often try to pretend do not exist. Infected is the sixth installment and a must read for any fan of realistic, and a bit gritty, Christian fiction.

Infected by Alana Terry is book six in the Kennedy Stern Christian Suspense Series. Another wonderful, engaging story about a pre-med student at Harvard whose parents are missionaries in China. This is a series, but each novel can be stand-alone. For a young woman Kennedy has had many traumatic and suspenseful escapades. In this title she is thrust into a terrifying situation, involving a serious health threat and a lockdown in a major hospital. As in the other books, she must trust God and her faith to see her through. Isolation, fear, recurring PTSD, and a deadly encounter threaten Kennedy and those she cares for. Every book is a page-turner; I highly recommend this series. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.

Kennedy is a amazing young woman. When Sandy ask her to watch Woong she is surprised how her life changes in a day. The characters in this book are all very special people who will feel like they are family. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. God is working throughout this whole book. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. The review is my honest thoughts and reaction to this book. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could. Alana Terry's books will change your life for the better.

Alana has done it again. She has been blessed with the ability to bring tough subjects to the table, touching on all sides of an issue without telling a person how to believe. I love that she's been a willing instrument to bring these books to life. Kennedy has had a lot happen in her short time in college and this book is no different. Kennedy is tired of her Dad constantly calling and texting about a virus that has every is worried about. Some friends ask her to come to the hospital with their son and while she's there the hospital is put on lockdown. You'll have to read the book to find out why and the outcome of it.

As always, I truly enjoyed this book. The characters are developed, but if you read the previous books, you'll enjoy this one more, though it is not necessary to do so. You will still be able to follow and enjoy. As usual, the book was well edited, but somewhat surprised to find an error or two. You will not be disappointed. The excitement level was "just enough" not boring in any sense of the word, but not nail-biting either. Both of these things are the way I like it. I will not give away the plot or ending but.....you will just have to read it and see for yourself. I volunteered to review this book through bookfun.org.

Alana Terry gives us another exciting book in this latest in the Kennedy Stern series.
This was a beautiful book about love, loss, and hope.
Tension keeps your eyes glued to the page from the first word until last
Kennedy is placed with many life challenges in this book and she learns that the Lord is there
regardless of your circumstances.
I Love Psalms 103 which says you need to praise the Lord regardless of what happens.
This is a thought provoking book and recommended for those who love Christian fiction

Given the current Coronavirus situation, this is not a book I would’ve picked up. However, I had just finished the previous book in the series and wanted to keep going. So, I read it. And it was good; it was really good.

But, it wasn’t really about the Nipah virus. Halfway through, the focus becomes a hostage situation with a bomb. Interesting twist, but I had just convinced myself that I could handle a book about a global epidemic... but the epidemic was just happening in the background and setting the scene for the real action.

So hard when people die in books, especially special people! This book was really good, it just made me cry.
There are people in this world who are just cruel, and only think of themselves. There is one in this book who is that cruel, not really caring who is hurt, thinks that it is the only way that things will happen the way he wants!
Kennedy seems to always have something happen to her in Alana Terry series. However, the good thing is that her roommate, Willow becomes a Christian, Praise God!
All in all, this book was better than the last one, it is pretty good, definitely worth reading!

Alana Terry never writes a bad book; this book was just as amazing as all her others! Poor Kennedy finds herself embroiled in yet another crisis. You might think you know what's going to happen, but I guarantee you will think wrongly! Brace yourself for another racing roller coaster ride in the newest Kennedy Stern saga...

Thank you to the author for this book. The thoughts and opinions posted here are my own.

Infected - Book #7 in the Kennedy Stern Christian Suspense Series

Every time I finish one of Alana Terry's suspenseful novels in the Kennedy Stern series, I can't help but give it another 5 stars. They are that fantastic, and I'm sad when I come to the end of the book. Read this book, and find out why you, too, will give it
5 stars and recommend it to all of your Christian friends.

Imagine what you would do in a tense situation of possible pandemic and also, dealing with a distraught parent. In this story, the author shows how fear and the feeling of despair can affect people in different ways. Fast paced, excellent story. I received a copy of this story from the author and this is my personal honest opinion.

This series is special. Each book faces different life challenges.. and reminds us that life can be both sweet and sad.. everything is not all sunshine and roses.. but along the way, we have to balance things out the best we can....
