I didn’t expect your sister, and I for sure didn’t want to fall in love. But somehow, her big mouth and big feet ran me over without me realizing it.”

When I first started this journey called smutty romance reading via kindle, Marie Harte was a go to author for me. I enjoyed the mostly northwest U.S. settings, the likeable characters and the reliably hot sexy stuff.

All I Want For Halloween continues that tradition but with the added bonus of two characters who ALWAYS speak the truth.

“So, ah, I just wanted to return your sword and let you know how much I loved that punch.”
“Not half as much as I loved giving it.” Sadie gave him her mean smile.
“Oh yeah. That’s sexy.” She blinked in confusion.
“Huh?”
“That inner bitch of yours. Hot. As. Fuck.”

These two had absolutely no filter when it came to laying out exactly how they felt and despite (or maybe because of) the abrasiveness of it, I loved it.

It's funny. It's sexy. It's Halloweeney. Nothing wrong with any of that.

This book was my catnip! I freakin loved it and was very entertained! I'll tell you right now this book won't be for everyone. Our main characters, Sadie and Gear are antisocial, blunt and in your face. People like that can come off as crass, mean and in Gears case, a misogynist. I can relate...well not with the misogynist part, but I digress. Here's a secret for you, they aren't any of these things. Well maybe a little mean...

The banter between these two had me laughing out loud. A lot. It got a little embarrassing since I was reading in public through part of this. This was just a refreshing change to the google eyed romances. It was real and fun. These two actually communicated with each other. They didn't care about offending because they knew they were cut from the same cloth. That's not to say there wasn't a bit of insecurity in both of them and when it got real, the communication hiccuped just a bit, but then they got right back to who they were as people.

Honestly, I would kill for more characters like this. I felt at home with these two. This author also provided us with some really great side characters that just took this story to the top for me. I will beg for more books with these side characters. Especially Smoke. Please, please, please tell me you are writing Smoke and Iris' story Marie Harte! Loved it! ARC provided by NetGalley.

What a fun, fun book! I loved Sadie and Gear and all their abrasive ways. They are both “take me as I am” characters and I can’t imagine either one of them with anyone else. Marie Harte did an amazing job developing this couple and all their quirkiness. Sadie and Gear are not what you’d call people persons. They are harsh and in your face and I never thought I’d love such personalities as I did them.

I thought Gear might be a hard sell when it came to love but as his relationship with Sadie deepened, he accepted it for what it was. And to top it off, he was protective of her in his own way because Sadie is not the type of heroine who needs or would ever accept protection.

This was a fast paced read with so many entertaining secondary characters that highlighted this couple’s families. (I’m hoping Iris and Smoke get their own story.) The sex is sizzling, the humor spot on, and the drama always handled well by both Sadie and Gear.

An absolute must read if you can handle characters that don’t know the definition of nice and sweet.

This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley.

I read about 30% of it and got bored, I wish them well. I think this is the second book of Harte's I just up and stop - guessing it is bc of the tension. Hot sex, lots of it, but the emotional tension hasn't matched it the way I like.

As a big Marie Harte fan, I was looking forward to reading this book. I haven’t read too many Halloween themed stories, so I was particularly excited about reading this one. As you can expect, this book has a lot of fun banter and sexiness. I feel like this is kind of what Marie Harte does best with her Contemporaries.

The heroine, Sadie Liberato, is forced to go to a Halloween party by her brother. There she meets a masked man, who is no other than Gear Blackstone, a reality TV star on Motorcycle Madnezz. Funny thing is, Sadie was just lying on her couch, watching one of his episodes before she went to this party.

I think if you’re going to read this book, you really need to be in a good mood. A lot of it involves fun and sexy banter. It doesn’t just happen between the hero and heroine though. Sadie’s brother does have some good page time and he really is a fun character to read. However, I do think that the author can go a bit overboard with all the banter in some cases. I think fun banter is great for introducing a character and building that romance between the hero and heroine, but too much of it can also make the book feel unnecessarily long. I don’t think there was a need of so much of it.

Similarly, humor is a big part of this book. Again, I really enjoyed it in some cases but felt that it can overshadow other aspects of the book because there was so much of it. Also, you do have to keep in mind that not everyone has the same sense of humor so what might be funny to some might be foolish to others. That’s the fine line you straddle when it comes to humor and I felt like this book wobbled between the two sides sometimes.

Nevertheless, ALL I WANT FOR HALLOWEEN is a fun read. If you’re looking for something that’s sexy and spooky at the same time, then you definitely need to check this book out.

Note to self: Stop reading Contemporary Romance. This is just not a genre you enjoy. In my defense, I needed an audio book and since it is the week before Halloween, I thought I'd give this romance a shot. My beef with a Contemporary is the attitudes of the 20-30 something characters and, in this one, the almost nonstop sex scenes. I must be getting old. I go for romance books in the audio format because they don't require much brain power to enjoy, it's one step up from listening to music.

Sadie Liberato is dragged to a Halloween party by her brother, who is catering the party. Her job is to meet and greet and promote the business. Sadie is not the social butterfly type and finds a place to hide and observe. She wasn't the only one fleeing the drunken revelers. The tall, dark & handsome man in a devil mask turns out to be Gear Blackstone, a reality TV star who is trying to live down a reputation he doesn't deserve. Devil and Zena, aka Gear and Sadie, connect in all the ways that count and have a hot . . . connection behind the bamboo plants. Connect is the word and now they will just have to see how deep a casual connection can go. 3 1/2-Stars

Marie Harte’s new single title All I Want for Halloween is all kinds of wicked deliciousness. A reality television “star” whose life has become a publicity nightmare thanks to his now ex-fiancée cheating on him with his best friend meets a warrior princess at a costume party who is as outspoken, honest, and unimpressed with celebrity and has no problem stealing food off his plate, so he can’t help but be a little bit impressed and enamored especially when she has no problem doing him against the wall at a party. Smart, sexy, and funny but chocked full of emotion All I Want for Halloween is another fantastic addition to Marie Harte’s body of work.

All Harrison “Gear” Blackstone wanted to do was built custom bikes, but between his best friend and his girlfriend turned fiancée, he found himself part of a reality show where his lack of people skills didn’t help ratings, but thanks to the recent scandal he has more publicity than he ever cared about and his name is being raked over the coals.
Sadie Liberato loves working with her siblings in their bakery and catering business, her work fulfills her, she enjoys working out at the gym and living a quiet life but after a rather eventful evening at an early Halloween party, Sadie finds her life turned upside down by Gear and his gruff, charming ways.

It’s always fun to watch two people who are bound and determined not to have a relationship fall into one and that is exactly what happens to Gear and Sadie. Having both been burned by love they are good being “fun buddies” and denying their ever growing feelings for one another. Gear appreciates everything about Sadie especially that fact that she always lets him know what she is thinking so when things get serious, he knows she is struggling because she clams up and runs. I loved the Gear didn’t give up on Sadie, that he realized she was scared and understood that he had to let her figure out what she was feeling and come to terms with it. One thing was for sure on a physical level these two were well matched and had no problem expressing their needs and desires. Both these characters were so easy to love even with their baggage, bluntness, and lack of people skills because they refused to change just to please other people and that right there is why they were perfect for one another.

I loved the cameo appearances by some of Ms. Harte’s characters from a couple of her series and both Gear and Sadie’s families were hysterical, a bit crazy, and thoroughly entertaining. While this books is billed as a single title, I really hope to see some of the secondary characters in this book get their own stories at some point.

Fantastic banter, two dominate people, shockingly sexy times, and a brilliant cast of characters, All I Want for Halloween was an exciting, fun story and a devil of a good time .

The first half of this book is amazing!
Great banter, spicy bits, a Hallowe'en party and drama.
It takes a turn around midway when the MCs seem to change personalities and values in a matter of seconds. It was weird and I didn't enjoy the switches.
I would still suggest people grab it since I seem to be in the minority.
I mean it's a Hallowe'en themed romance book, that's reason enough for you to pick it up, so rare.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Release Date September 26, 2017

When Sadie Liberato is cajoled by her brother to attend a costume party a month before Halloween, she had no idea she'd fall for a handsome devil in a mask. Or that she'd have one hellishly fine encounter in the dark. But when her masked devil turns out to be Gear Blackstone, fallen TV reality star of the super popular show, Motorcycle Madnezz, she wonders if this is a match made in heaven or hell.

••••••••••••

REVIEW: ALL I WANT FOR HALLOWEEN by Marie Harte is a stand alone, contemporary adult, erotic romance story line set in the world of the author’s McCauley Brothers, The Donnigans, and the Body Shop Bad Boys series. This is reality star and mechanic Harrison ‘Gear’ Blackstone, and bakery shop chef Sadie Liberato’s story line. ALL I WANT FOR HALLOWEEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Sadie and Gear) ALL I WANT FOR HALLOWEEN follows the building relationship between reality star and mechanic Gear Blackstone, and pastry chef Sadie Liberato. A month before Halloween Sadie found herself up against the wall, in the throws of passion, with a man she knew only as the tall, dark and brooding Satan. Enter Harrison ‘Gear’ Blackstone, a man whose entire life had been exposed on reality TV, as his best friend and fiancé, took their secret relationship into the public eye. Tired of the bullsh*t, fame and constant paparazzi, Gear walked away without a backwards glance. Meeting Sadie Liberato, the feisty pastry chef, and ardent protector of everything Gear Blackstone, started our couple towards a happily ever after that could have ended before it all began.

Sadie Liberato has been burned in the past; her former lover cheated on her with a friend, and now trusting any other man brings back too many bad memories for our heroine to let loose and fall in love. Sadie is a strong willed, hold nothing back kind of woman who is willing to protect the people in her life including the man with whom she is falling in love. Gear Blackstone had enough of the fake ‘reality’ of Motorcycle Madnezz, but finding Sadie brought everything into perspective including the desire to step away from the fame and fortune of his own television show, and back into the quiet solitude of owning his own garage. Battered and bruised by the cheating scandal between his co-stars Gear walked away without looking back if only the paparazzi and his former co-stars would leave him alone.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Gear’s parents Otis and Orchid Blackstone, his sister Iris, and his brother Thorvold aka Thor; as well as Gear’s ex-fiance Sahara, and best friend Brian ‘B-Man’ Gandanna, and fellow bike mechanics Smoke and Chains. We are introduced to Sadie’s father Tony Liberato, her brother and owner of Sofa’s Bakery Elliott, and their sister Rose and her husband Joe. There is plenty of back and forth, quick witted banter between siblings, parents and friends.

The world building focuses on the behind the scenes turmoil of a reality television series, the fall out of infidelity, secrets and lies, and the potential life altering changes when two people find one another in a darkened corner, as they hide away from the real world.

ALL I WANT FOR HALLOWEEN is a fun and sexy read. The premise is engaging; the characters are colorful and animated; the romance is seductive and energetic, without the over the top, sexually graphic language and text. I am looking forward to future story lines focusing on the Liberato and Blackstone siblings.

Oof. This is so not for me that I'm reluctant to rate, but having already talked up this premise to others, I want a record of why it may not work for some readers.

What was promising was the frame of a Halloween-themed romance. Why isn't this more of a thing? Assuming of a fantasy identity, as well as potential for gothic elements, adrenaline, and tension all lends to potential sizzle.

The major barrier for me was that what was intended to be sexy was more baldly crude. I'm a great fan of banter, but the attempts could hardly be classified as such. There's boldness, which can work for characterization, especially when freed from constraints...and then there's crassness, which ruins everything. I concede others will disagree, but this undermined any investment in the potential relationships, and, I would argue, exposed a great deal of immaturity in the prose itself. When I was enduring flashbacks to the issues of quality in Fifty Shades of Grey, I knew it was time to bail.

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I've had my ups and downs with this author's work, and lately it's been more of a down than an up, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this novel!

I liked the romance between Sadie and Gear. It was definitely different, and had a good deal of humor in it. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well, and wished we could see more of them. There were even a few cameos by characters from her other series, which tied it into her larger "universe". I especially appreciated the Halloween themed setting! However, my chief complaint with this book was that it was too short! Things felt a little rushed because of that, and I really feel that it detracted from the story overall.

I would definitely purchase this and recommend it to others!

‘All I want for Halloween’ starts out fun and gossipy in a way about celebrities that had me laughing at the parody, then made it work by introducing a female lead who seemed to know just what she was doing, and yet was funny and gutsy to boot. And I’d thought there and then, that we had a winner.

After all, who can say that they’ve looked with disdain from afar, then came face to face with the very person you’ve been seeing on screen and been judgemental about? As someone watching from the outside, Sadie Liberato’s own reaction to the whole mess of a cheating ex and Motorcycle Madnezz’s end of an era on tv closely mirrored mine…minus the incidental meeting and the sexy times.

But past Gear’s and Sadie’s first (rather acrobatic) public, masked-sex at the party, it was hard to sustain interest in a pairing because I couldn’t tell just what direction their relationship was going to take. Throw in the sudden influx of characters in the midway point and the copious number of sex scenes—I really did get the point early on that sex between them was hot and stratospheric and got bored when that just went on and on—, it started to fall flat at the quarter-mark of the story, when Gear and Sadie find themselves in a semblance of dating but are convinced that they’re nothing more than that while their actions prove otherwise. Adamant that their ‘relationship’ is casual, much of it felt like lust masquerading as love still, even as both eventually do come to the conclusion that they are already there with their emotions.

Overall, I feel as though I should have liked this better than I did, but throughout it all, I simply found myself impatiently wanting to see the story get somewhere and was disappointed when it didn’t quite. Instead it dragged on and I finally started to skim, almost relieved when Gear/Sadie got it into their heads that they were on the same emotional page because that was where the story also ended.

This review was part of a Pandora's Box feature at All About Romance

The story is tuned into today’s values, where going viral or acting out on camera are the benchmarks for fame and glory. This was my first Marie Harte book and I’d grade it a solid C. If there had been more development of Sadie’s character and more thoughts behind her relationship with Gear other than how awesome the other person was in bed this could have been a recommended read. Will Gear and Sadie go down as one of my favorite romantic couples? No, but there were a few funny moments and I liked members of their extended families enough to give the series a second chance.

My review cross-posted from Wit and Sin

All I Want for Halloween is anything but ordinary thanks to its unique characters. I love heroines in particular who break the mold and Marie Harte definitely delivered with Sadie. Sadie is a breath of fresh air. She’s blunt, often cranky, has no patience for BS, and isn’t exactly what you’d call a people person. I loved that she is confident and outspoken and I honestly just plain liked her. She was hurt in the past pretty badly and I was rooting for those walls around her heart to come down. Gear is her perfect match. He’s equally blunt and grouchy and has also been burned in the past by people he trusted. Nevertheless, he falls fast and hard for Sadie and doesn’t give up even when she’s wary of trusting him with her heart. I loved that these two wonderfully flawed characters actually like things about one another that others might not. Their romance is not only seriously hot, it’s fun.

The road to happily ever after isn’t always a smooth ride for Sadie and Gear, but luckily for them they both have family on hand to support them when the going gets tough. Neither the Liberato nor the Blackstone clan is your average family, and I adored that about them. The entire cast (discounting evil exes and backstabbing former best friends) is irreverent, good-hearted, and charmed the heck out of me. I liked them all so much that I hated to say good-bye at the end of the book; I really hope Ms. Harte has stories in store for Sadie and Gear’s siblings (especially if the attraction between their brothers turns into something more). All I Want for Halloween is the first book I’ve read by Ms. Harte and it’s a total treat. I can’t wait to read more of her work.

Maybe it's the time of year. Maybe it's the swoonworthy couple that are unapologetically themselves. Maybe it's the constant references to baked goods and reality television. Whatever it is, I lived this book. It made me smile and laugh and sigh. 5 stars

For a smexy good time, Ms. Harte is my go to author. Her stories consistently deliver blazing sex and hot chemistry between the characters. In this latest one, Sadie and Gear heat up the sheets with delicious raw erotic scenes. This story is more than just sex.

The plot in this story burns me up. Gear Blackstone is a reality star for a Motorcycle show. He's had a falling out with his fiance and best friend. They have painted him as a jerk, basically projecting all their flaws onto him. Based on how TV can make things up and take things out of context, it isn't surprising. Personally, I have a low opinion of the mass media and Ms. Harte demonstrates why. I felt really bad for Gear. He was given a raw deal and they made him to be terrible when he wasn't. His disadvantage of not being public relations friendly is definitely a problem. Some people should just not be in front of cameras. Lucky for him, Sadie may be just as direct but she is not a PR nightmare.

Sadie and Gear match up so well together. I love how they are transparent and say it how it is. Sometimes it can be brutal, but it works. Their open communication is the style I like and it makes everything above board. At times, sort of saw Sadie and Gear as Kat Von D and Jessie James. Their ability to come together, rise above the drama and in the manner of which they did it was impressive. This erotica romance is recommended to readers who like characters who are raw and gritty.

Thanks to Sourcebooks for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I did not care for this one for two particular reasons.

First, the treatment of female characters showed a lot of internalized misogyny, particularly in the heroine as exceptional Not Like Other Girls character. More than that, though, women tended to be either warm, family-oriented caring madonnas or irredeemably awful whores with almost no ground in between. By contrast, though male characters were also a bit thin in development, they were allowed a wider range of depictions.

Second, and I'll hide this under spoiler tag just in case,

Overall, this one was not for me.

I loved the start of this book. The reality tv star, the woman who wouldn't usually have anything to do with him, and a masquerade.

The beginning had everything that I needed to really engage with the story, to love it, and to not want to put it down.

Unfortunately, after about 45% I felt like the book lost all of it's steam...both in the plot and in the chemistry with the lead characters. It became about her family, and her sister and the brother who was mad at her, and the other reality tv characters, and the romance dropped away.

Unfortunately, it never got back for me, and I was left feeling like there was a lot more that could have happened in the book. I found myself wanting to skim, and while I resisted, it is never a good sign when you don't find yourself all that engaged in the sex scenes in an erotic romance.

This started with a lot of potential...but it didn't really meet it for me.

Not going to lie to you one bit. I only requested this book because it was a Halloween theme. Who knew I would end up loving this book and finding a new author to fan girl over! Gear and Sadie have both been burned when it comes to love and decide to let loose at an Halloween party for one night only. As fate would have it they are reunited and they can’t deny there is more to them just the one night. At first I thought this was going to be one of those insta love stories that I don’t really care for in a long term book. I’m happy to report it was the complete opposite. Granted the couple did develop feelings right away they both struggled with their feelings and didn’t want to rush into anything. I loved the push and pull. The back and forth between the couple. Plus, I LOVED the secondary characters aka the meddling family members. Man, I felt like I was part of the family and loved the dynamics between them all. This was the first time I’ve read anything by this author and I was pleasantly surprised with how invested I was in this story. The writing was good, we had several laugh out loud moments in this book. The story flowed plus it was Halloween themed!!! I was left with a huge smile after I finished and I can’t wait to catch up with the gang!

All I Want for Halloween is funny, snarky, hot and sexy! Perfect for those who want something entertaining and steamy for Halloween.

Sadie is a tell it like it is, take no shit from anyone kind of woman. She's tall, she's beautiful and she's mostly comfortable in her own skin. When she runs into a hot guy at a costume party her brother forces her to attend, for the sake of their business, she's all for some casual, but hot party sex with the big, muscular guy in the mask. But when she finds out the hottie is Gear, the man whom she just saw on a reality show, she's unprepared for how hard she will end up falling for him.

If you like your heroines big, bold and sweet and your heroes, big, sexy with big hearts, 1 click All I Want for Halloween today!

Wallbanger, my favorite romantic comedy has finally met its match! I loved this story. It was bold and naughty. A couple meet and it’s fireworks starting with the first kiss. I’m not a fan of love at first sight stories, but this was lust at first sight that turned quickly into love. And, that made sense because this couple was perfect for each other. There was two things that made this read perfect for me. One, the couple’s banter and being able to be real with each other from the first moment they met. Two, there was no melodramatic drama. The little bit of drama that came, came with a laugh to it.

The narrator did a great job. Excellent writing and an excellent read.

Sadie (Ava’s cousin from ‘A Sure Thing’) is coerced by her brother and business partner, Elliott into attending a costume party a month before Halloween.

She’d been irritated enough that she’d decided to go as a warrior princess, complete with a fake sword she considered using on her brother. A short skirt of fake leather and a matching halter top that bared a good bit of her toned stomach, complete with a scabbard at her back. Fake-gold armbands tightened around her biceps, while quality leather boots with tufts of faux fur around the tops looked authentic enough to be part of the costume. In reality she’d borrowed them from her sister, Rose.

She’d darkened her eyes and lips with black makeup. A few fake war-paint lines under her eyes and across her cheeks apparently made her look authentically man-eating—or so the drunk guy brushing by her thought out loud. She had a leather satchel belted to her waist containing some money, a few condoms, and her phone.

“Oh my God. Is that who I think it is?” Elliot dragged her around the packed dance floor.
“Who are you talking about?”

Gear attended the party as part of his contract to the reality show. At the party his ex-fiancée, Sahara seeking public support, publicly accuses him of cheating and his ex-best friend Brian, supported the accusation (Sahara and Brian were the ones cheating). This performance was orchestrated to paint him as a villain.

He circulated around as the Joker. A lot of the men didn’t seem to object to him, but the women were repelled by him. He took Iris’s advice and changed into his devil costume. She had persuaded him to go as a joker and carry an outfit to change into later. No one recognised him.

Seeking a hideaway from the crowd free of speculating and judgemental eyes, he found a secluded spot to sit and eat, right next to a warrior Princess that distracted him and stole his food. The two share a steamy encounter and it is later revealed that Satan is none other than Gear Blackstone, fallen reality star of the popular show, Motorcycle Madnezz.

He described her as dressed as an Amazon. Their hideaway was hidden from prying eyes as they overheard Sahara and Brian admitting to setting him up. Someone else hearing the truth, he finally feels vindicated despite the lack of witnesses.

When Brian and Sahara exited, Gear moved out of sight, not wanting to deal with them.

Sahara being her usual arrogant self tried b*tching out his friend, turns out Sadie doesn’t give a damn about Madnezz or Sahara. When she told Sahara to stick her head up her bum, Sahara cursed her out, then slapped her.
“She hit your friend?” Iris asked, dumbfounded.
“Yep. A solid crack on her cheek. I’ll be honest. I thought it was all for show. You know Sahara’s full-on hissy mode? But it wasn’t. Then it was too late. Sadie clocked her. Gave her a mother of a black eye.” He sounded cheerful and consumed food like he hadn’t in months.
“So you watched sexy Wonder Woman—”
“She was dressed as Xena, though her name’s actually Sadie.”
“Xena hit Sahara. But she never knew who you were?” Thor asked.
“She didn’t until yesterday. She left her sword behind, so I returned it.”

These two were a match made in heaven, both prefer being out of the spotlight. Gear only wanted to create custom bikes and Sadie is satisfied with her lot in life.

Iris wondered about this “hot-as-hell chick.” Gear’s taste in women had been questionable before, but dating Sahara had taken him down a dark path. Iris had never liked the gold digger, and the more she came to know of Sahara—and sadly, Brian—the more she regretted ever encouraging Gear to do that show.
He laughed, sounding more carefree than he’d been. Iris was more curious about this woman than everything else he’d said. Gear seemed almost…enamored.

“God, Gear. If she’s found out, your name will be dragged through the mud even more. I just know people will think you put her up to it.”
“Put her up to what? Like I said, no witnesses. And no one but Jim saw me in the devil costume.”
“Sadie could tell. She’d get a ton of money if she went to the tabloids,” Iris said.
Gear seemed to consider that, then shook his head. “Nah. Not her. I admit I messed up with Sahara. She had a great body and skills with… Well, never mind that. But I learned my lesson. Trust me. If anything, Sadie wants out of the limelight.”

With all that technology has to offer, there’s a couple in your bed, use your mobile and document the act, the proof would be uncontested.

Their coupling was waging a war, combative.

He shot Sadie a once-over.
“I know. I’m a hag. Sahara’s much hotter. Blah-blah.”
Otis grinned. “Lot of piss and vinegar in this one. So you’re bangin’ my boy.”
“Dad.”
“Takes a lot to get him to call me that.” Otis chuckled. “You pregnant?”
Sadie liked this guy. He was just her speed. Obnoxious and funny. “Yep. With a pack of wild ones. We think twins. I’m the luckiest girl around. Harrison’s gonna marry me, no prenup or anything. We’re going to sell this place when you die, then put up condos for rich white people to buy while tearing up the land. We might even start a cattle farm over yonder.” She nodded to the window behind her.
His parents stared at her, openmouthed.
Gear gave a fake gasp. “Jesus, Sadie. I thought we agreed not to tell them that yet.”
Otis started laughing. Orchid soon joined him, but Sadie thought the release might be because none of it was true, not just that she’d been funny.

The bantering and their respective parents made this highly enjoyable. Gear was very patient recognising Sadie’s fear of betrayal, at times giving her the space she needed, to miss him.

Gear is one smart man when his woman is upset you don't sit on your behind, you take action, “you know what? I’m going to drink, wolf down some pizza, and try to forget the verbal smackdown my brother already gave me. I can do without your **** too.” She hung up. He swore and got dressed, then took his quieter bike, the one without the monster pipes, over to Sadie’s..." I really liked this book, Sadie was so sassy.

Because the two main characters are always snarling, I can't even say this was a cute read 😂 it was a fun read though, predictable like any other romance but different since it was kind of a biker romance. Also, I hard core related to the main female character for various reasons so that made it more enjoyable.

A strong heroine always keeps my interest in a book. Add the snark and a hero worth noticing and the book kept me reading way past my bedtime.
