Author of Urban Chick Lit, Erotica, and Contemporary Urban Fiction... Jessica N. Watkins was born April 1st in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I had written about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women's literature. She hopes that The Epitome of Femistry series will successfully emulate ideal femininity while tackling stereotypes, familiar heartache, and relatable distress in a humorous, sophisticated, and erotic fashion.

The final book in the series. It's more a book about everyone else than Simone, her chapters pop up here and there and that's because her time is coming to an end, but everyone else's is just beginning.

It was still a good read, but not as good as the rest of the series. It was the longest too, and I think it could've been a tiny bit shorter, but ultimately I don't mind that much. I'm just happy I was able to read the whole series almost back to back.

I'll definitely miss Simone, for better or worse. There are so few characters that are completely unhinged, and I can't help but care for her even after all she's done.

It was not as explosive as the previous books. There was no wow factor for me. I honestly feel it was an ok you wanted more of Simone here you go. I loved Omari and Jasmine. Omari is still definitely the man. In my emotions over one part and frustrated over others. I am
Happy the series is over but disappointed in it's lackluster ending.

Loved this series by Jessica Watkins! Storyline remained consistent throughout the series providing plenty of drama. Hated to see it end but I was glad Simone's wickedness was laid to rest & Omari finally has a chance to love again.

Perfect ending to this series. All the characters challenges made them stronger and better people. I'm glad Eboni got herself together. Jasmine & Omari deserve to be happy.

This was an amazing experience and I am really glad I started this ride... this is not a typical read for me and usually these reads don't end the way I like or they leave me with so many unanswered questions but this time I was amazed at how I grew to like these characters and how the story took on a life of its on.. Ms. Watkins did it right qith this series.. usually I dont take these books real series but I was invested until the end.. and the narrators were perfect...

This is the fourth and final series in "Secrets of a Side Bitch". It was an amazing read. It was filled with jealousy, disdain, betrayal, regret, but most all it’s filled with the warmest love story I’ve read yet. I was rooting for the Omari and Jasmine the whole way through, Loved the way the story took on a life of its own. Will definitely be recommending this book to my fellow avid readers.

Great Ending to an awesome series

What a way to end a series. Jessica threw a little twist into Omari's world, but I'm glad he didn't allow the past or Simone keep him from happiness. I love how everything played out except for Chance. I really wanted him to be happy. This is definitely a banger series,I couldn't stop reading until I was done.

Hands down one of my favorite series! It's bittersweet to see the series come to an end. We all finally get to say BYE SIMONE this time. I'm happy that Omari finally got the closure that he deserved. I'm definitely happy with this ending.

Justice finally

I hated that Chance lost his life due to manipulation by Simone. He was way to young think that she would drop everything for him after committing a heinous crime. I'm so glad her ass got dealt with she was running around doing to much.

Good Read

This was a good page turning book. I wish Chance didn't die. But I had mixed feelings on Simone being dead. I, like Detective Howard, wanted her to suffer in jail. This was a great series.

Action packed

There is so many twists and turns. Lots of action! It reads like an action movie with hood romance, just like we do it. Keeping it real!

This is the last and final instalment of this series. If ever there was a bitch that needed to get her comeuppance Simone Campbell is definitely the one. This chick gives the word grimy a whole new meaning. If your competition gets in the way murder them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a full grown woman or a defenseless newborn baby… Smother the baby and slip out the house like you didn’t do it. So to say that Karma is a bitch in a red dress out to get her is an understatement. I like the way the book tied up all the loose ends. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but trust… Simone finally gets what’s coming to her in a big way. I am so glad this series is over. I don’t think I could handle any more evil from someone so amoral and without a conscience like Simone. It takes a special kind of bitch to murder a baby. In cold blood. I have to mention Ebony… She finally gets her man back in her bed where she thought she wanted him only to discover she’s not the same person. Insecure Dia and her actions are responsible for the downfall of the man she loves. And to add a little spice to the action we have are sexy as hell sister wearing the smallest booty shorts ever! I don’t know how I would feel if I had a sister that were itty-bitty tiny shorts with her butt cheeks hanging out around my man. Do you didn’t like it much. But I won’t get into details about how all of that end it. You need to read it for yourself and I promise you won’t be disappointed. A true hood tale with dope boys (but don’t worry they only play a small part and we don’t have to hear much about the trap House)mystery intrigue secrets sex the whole nine.

Man! This last book had too many different people in it, but it was still pretty good!

Simone, still being the crazy person she is! But a lady of the night! I am trying to make her way out of the city! Not working her in favor!!

Omari-'m still on the same BS. Oh poor me, i got my whole family killed because I wanted to cheat on my girl! But it's not my fault! Because I didn't tell her to fall in love with me, even tho I apparently got a good worm and Grey eyes! LAME LOL! Yeah, I'm still tick at him! Because, sir, all this is yo fault! All you had to do was change the tire and go on about your business, nah! You like this. WITCH IS FINE! now look at you!

Chance- I felt bad for the kid! He didn't deserve his fate! The kid was just tricked!! And they all knew it and still did that to him!! Clearly only wanted revenge! Wasn't actually thinking about anything but! If they were so easily manipulated by a woman like Simone, how did they think an 17 year old would stand up to a woman he was so in love with! Like, come on! Clown behavior!

Gia and Georgia - Clowns, both of them!!!!!!!!!

And Jasmine! Just freaking annoying!

And the Detective- man lady go HOME! I understand why yo husband left! Do you even know what your kids look like 😭😭

All together it was a pretty good read it doesn't sound like it but it really was.

series is good

My emotions all over the place about Chance, I really cried. I know he did wrong and gullible but I truly wanted him to live to have a better life, he always thought of his life as living in a prison. He didn’t have anything and he just wanted to be a part of a family and be loved. I wanted him to have a 2nd chance at life. Why was Simone in this story, no interaction with other characters, didn’t understand her role. 4 stars because I have a pet peeve about most of these stories, they are predictable. If you make them fall in love halfway the book, then break them up, then all we the readers got to bear and suffer thru all the heartbreak, mourning, sadness, love sickness, whining, about to die, pettiness and after we go thru all that, you put them back together which we already know you will. It’s boring and predictable. I’m sorry I love to read and I just noticed the same pattern with majority of these authors, very seldom find HEA goes in another direction or doesn’t happen

This was a little anti climatic for me, I felt let down by the ending. There were too many unanswered questions, Gia never found out/confirmed her sister slept with Chance even though it was obvious, Slim never found out Simone was the one stealing and he gave her up too easy just for a lil leeway with the cops makes no sense. The whole argument with Jasmine and Omari was just dumb to me and dragged on longer than it needed to. These 2 were painted as very mature and connecting on a deeper level and a deep respect for boundaries. So for her to cross those lines and they both be immature about it just seemed a little off brand. I didn’t like it. Tre’s relationship with Simone was never exposed which should’ve been done in book 3 after she tried to steal that baby. I really enjoyed the story but it just left too many unanswered questions. Simone’s death was underwhelming just due to the circumstances. They’re so much more I could say…

Happy this series is over. Pretty satisfying ending. I was so tired of Simone. I wanted her to go out harder than she did. A bullet was too easy for her ass. I thought Gia was selfish asf. She did all that work to get Chance out of jail and basically delivered him to his enemies. He should've left her. She was acting like Chicago was the only city she could strip and make money. They went to CA and didn't make as much money so instead of trying another city (like the ATL) they come back to Chicago where there's a bounty on his head? She dead wrong. They should've just broke up. She held that man hostage in Chicago. Also didn't like that Gia never found out about Chance and Georgia. Chance got out of jail and still wasn't free bc of his selfish girlfriend wouldn't leave Chicago then he got killed bc one of the 🥷🏾 that wanted him dead found him in Chicago. And she had the nerve to be sad. Whatever.

I wish I could punch Omari in the face

Books 1-3 where good. Book #4 trash.
Omari I hate that bitch. He’s disgusting piece of shit that only cares about pussy. He deserves to be alone forever. I Would have loved to have seen Simon finish him off before they killed her. Smh at the way she died was also a disappointment! I was like “is that it? She can’t die just like that”
Omari was a weak bitch, replacing Ayesha with Jasmine. When he don’t deserve to be happy. He was a pig from the very beginning. He just pushed Ayesha and Delilah death to the side not even for this girl that is blood related to Simon. Most the of shit was boring. Skimmed thru the corniness between Omari and Jasmine. sad moment when your favorite character becomes Simon. Wish the ending was different for some. ✌🏽

The ending to a series that was a roller coaster of a ride from beginning to now. Omari is trying to maintain his happiness, while adding someone special in the hopes of truly finding his happily ever after. Simone is still on the loose kicking hell as only she can, but life has also kicked her down to a shell of her former self, the fatal attraction doesn't realize for all the lies, lives she's taken and deceit there's been a detective who's just as stubborn to find her and bring her to justice as she is to remain free. I don't believe that Simone's ending did the story line any justice, it seemed too easy, but the thing I can say is her crazy a** remained defiant until the very last breath. Overall the whole series was a good read, definitely will be exploring more of this author's catalog in the future!

Very, very, good.

Enjoyable, entertaining, and sad at the same time. Detective H pursued her suspect to the end. It appeared that Simone was getting away with too much.
Every time I thought she was gone, she got away. Her husband never came behind her once she left Georgia with the money. She was a sick bitty. I liked the relationship between the family. I thought that at some point Tre would tell
Omar I about his relationship with Simone but he never did. I was glad that Erica
came to Dahla's memorial service. Omar has grown up throughout this series and so has Eboni. Omar has a second chance with Jasmine. He loves his son and Eboni kids. Sorry about Chance but he made his bed

OMARI HAD A GOOD WOMAN IN AYESHA & HE STILL FOUND WAYS & OPPRTUNITIES TO CHEAT ON HER. I WONDER NOW THAT HE MARRIED JASMINE WILL HE CHEAT ON HER TOO THE SAME WAY HE'D F--KED THINGS UP WHEN HE THOUGHT SCREWING EBONI-THE NEIGHBOR DOWNSTAIRS & KNOCKING HER UP THEN SCREWING THE MOST UNHINGED WOMAN IN THE LITERARY WORLD: SIMONE?!
YEAH, SIMONE MAY BE GONE, BUT OMARI IN MY OPINION DOESN'T DESERVE HAPPINESS BECAUSE NONE OF THE THINGS HE'D BEEN THROUGH WOULD'VE OCCURRED HAD HE KEPT HIS D--K TO HIMSELF & HADN'T SHARED WITH CHICKS OUTSIDE HIS RELATIONSHIP, AYEH=SHA WOULD STILL BE ALIVE & WOULD'VE HAD A CHANCE TO BECOME A MOMMY WHICH SHE DESIRED THE MOST HAD OMARI NOT BROUGHT SIMONE INTO THEIR LIVES!
MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS WERE CAPONE & CAPRI! THAT IS ALL.

Overall this series was really entertaining and fun to be in the messy-ness of it all. There were a couple of downsides to the series. it feels really bias towards women at times and it felt like a lot of digs at women.

Chance really annoyed me in this one. He never really gave Gia credit for knowing something was going on between him and Georgia.

I’m disappointed at how Simone’s story ends I agree with the detective, she should have suffered in jail.

This book was my least favorite in the series. It was really slow and just didn’t bring as much shock as the others, which I suppose is to be expected with the last book in the series. This book is a 3 but overall I would recommend the series to people.

Incredible wrap up

There were a few more typing errors in this installment than previous ones but this was still a darn good read. I was not fond of the over usage of "rolled my eyes into the back of my head" however the ending was awesome.

I hated that Chance died and didn't get a true shot of redemption, but I understand it's necessity. I did not like the real Gia and know that had she not been so selfish, Chance could have gotten on in Cali and done something with his second chance.

I'm so proud of Eboni. She went to school, got into nursing and resolved to take care of her children alone instead of with false love. That's so much harder to do than one could imagine.

Omari is my hero. Great, great series

OH...MY...GOD!!! Jessica, you did this!!!!!!!!!!! It ended just the way I hoped it would: with Simone GONE for good this time, Omari happy and Eboni in a good place! I slick knew Terrance would run his punk ass back to Felicia but I digress. It bothered me that Jasmine was so worried about Omari's past and how it related to Simone but thankfully, I've never been in that situation so I couldn't relate too much to it but she was really done with him but she knew she loved that man! Damn, if only we could find the men we read about! Smh anyhew, 5 stars for me!!!!!!!!!

Side Bitches and Main

Wow this book was something else. Me Watkins wrote the He'll out of these books. She created characters you Loved, Omari and Loved to Hate, Simone.
I never hoped so hard for a character to die as I did for Simone, but she's like the nine lives cat.
You want so badly for Omari to find his true love and Jasmine literally fell into him.
I actually liked Chance, unfortunately for him his connection to Simone isn't healthy.
The whole premise of these books initially there me off, but I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
