Enjoy the complete Stone Security series. Romance, Suspense, Mystery and a touch of Comedy. 5 Books. No Cliffhangers. More than 1,000 pages :)
JACK Running from her past, Raelyn ends up at the doorstep of security firm owner, Jack. Needing help and shelter, Jack offers her both. Under attack, they can’t help the connection that builds between them. With the past breathing down her neck, she has to do her best to survive, no matter what.
BRENT He was wearing street clothes. That’s how I knew he didn’t fit in and, in lieu of the attacks that had been happening to the girls at the club, I knew he was either trouble or salvation. When he came to talk to me, he wouldn’t look me in the eye. What kind of a man does that? But when he did…was it possible to see your future in someone else’s eyes?
REMY There was no excuse he could offer that could convince me that we weren’t meant to be together. I mean, he did work for my big brothers and they could be a huge obstacle in any relationship I was involved in. And his best friend was my other brother. Then there was my crazy boss, spouting insane stories about the chief of police. Oh, and the warrant that was issued for his arrest was an issue, too. But those weren’t real obstacles, were they?
AIDEN Wasn’t it just inviting trouble to bring someone into my life, someone who wanted to go out and be social, when I was hiding from dangers that could be lurking around the corner, or hundreds of miles away? He was hot, a former Navy SEAL, the kind of man who could clearly take care of himself. And I needed a little of that in my life. Was it really wrong to crave the safety of a man’s arms?
GENTRY I had a secret I needed to tell, but when I saw him at the airport, my tongue twisted in my mouth. And when I saw his fiancée standing behind him, my heart shattered and the words were lost. How could I tell him now, now that the evidence that he’d gone on with his life was standing in front of me in the persona of a living, breathing German doll? I couldn’t do it. But then a vendetta some motorcycle club held against his brothers came to roost on my doorstep and we were thrown together, forced to breathe the same air again for the first time in ten years.
These stories were okay. I liked the first one, then the second one went down a little from there, and so it continued. I also thought the stories were fairly repetitive. The stripper with the heart of gold and the masseuse that wouldn't give the happy ending in the happy ending parlor were both a little unbelievable, and more than a little unlikable. These were pretty well written, but are not the normal stories I enjoy.
This is a bundle that has five books, each telling the story a different sibling in the Stone Family, each part of the Security firm in one way or another. Since it's more about the siblings than the security company, although it is an important part of the story, the book is not the typical security romance where the bodyguard falls for his target, even if there is a little of that. There is a common issue that connects the books, other than the family relationship, and at the end they manage to defeat the bad guys once and for all.
Jack
Jack is a complicated character, and so is Raelyn. She goes to Jack looking for help, and Jack promises to protect her, but they fight constantly and sometimes it looks like Jack is fighting for Raelyn to accept his help. They act like kids most of the time and it gets kind of annoying after a time, but like in all good romances, they eventually have sex and clear their differences. The book was entertaining, even if the characters were annoying.
Brent
Brent is an interesting character, he has a painful past and is a quiet person, Dane has been hurt before and she is not ready to accept another man in her life, but somehow they work well together, and they start falling for each other, even if their start is a little difficult. It doesn't start with Brent working to protect Dane, it turns to that, but the setting is different and refreshing from the typical bodyguard falling for his charge. The relationship felt more mature than the previous book.
Remy
This is about their sister, a partner in the security group, but one they didn't let work with them because it was too dangerous, and the guy she has been crushing on, but that has a self-esteem issue that makes him think that he is not worthy of her. This is another case of mutual attraction where the guy is so insecure he decides he is just no good enough for the girl, even if everyone thinks he is. Remy wants Bo, and he wants her, but since she is rich and he grew up poor, he thinks he is not good enough, plus he works for her brothers and is best friend of one of them. She has to fight him so he can accept that she wants him, and then she has to face her brothers, so they will let her work with them, and then she ends up solving the problem single handled, showing everyone just how badass she really is. I liked the book, especially how Remy didn't let anyone stop her.
Aiden
Aiden just arrived and everyone is expecting him to work at the security firm, but he is not sure what he wants, he just knows that he wants her next door neighbor, but as they start a relationship, things get complicated. I don't like how he played with her and his trust issues, he made things difficult and even when he finally knew everything and knew her position, he still made her explain and then didn't believe her. His trust issues went from justified to plain ridiculous with his attitude, but they still managed to end up together.
Gentry
This is one of those books with a difficult relationship where the guy was a total bastard, forcing the girl to get away from him, but then life happens, and she is thrown again with him and his family, only everyone is judging her and thinking she is the bad one in the story. Of course, after years of making her life miserable, then making her look bad in front of his family, and then making things even more difficult for her, he realizes he was in love with her after all and all his transgressions are forgotten. I hate this kind of settings, but if you take those elements out of the story, it wasn't so bad.
I was happy to find the Stone Security complete set. While all the books are standalone, when you have linked characters it makes diving into the next adventure seamless.
This starts off great with Jack Stone's story and I was happy to continue the journey with Brent. Remy and Bo's love story was my favorite by far. Once you're three books in with two to go, you want to see how the other siblings fair in the game of love, but the whole motorcycle gang war was wearing thin and repetitive by story four and the romances were less engaging for me. So while I was glad that Aiden found Carson, my interest was fading. The series ends with a second chance romance were both Amelia and Gentry prove to be pretty selfish to a degree. Thus it was the story I liked the least. While Amelia appears to take good care of her son, she also deprived him of his father and family because of her selfishness.
SPOILER... Even if she tried to reach out to Gentry, with no success she knew where Jack and his family could be found. Jack, Brent and the family would have welcomed her with open arms and smacked some sense into Gentry. She didn't have to do things on her own. SPOILER END.
All in all, if you like the whole motorcycle club element, you'll likely enjoy each book in this series, because the writing is good and most of the characters very compelling. If you don't mind the heavy MC theme, this complete series is also a great choice. However, if your under the impression that the MC theme is minor so tolerable, you would be wrong and should look for a different way to spend 15 hours.
On another note, there is a good bit of explicit sex in this series, and not a single mention of condoms or birth control. No sweat off my back really, but it can feel unsanitary if you really stop to think about the reputations these men have and the lack of care the lot of them took concerning protection. I'm surprised there weren't many more babies and pregnancies.
While I did enjoy this series, I felt like the characters were too similar and the reactions/behaviors were repetitive. I also didn't like the way some of the characters talked to each other. It was demeaning and hurtful and I thought that since the author chose to use this method to advance the emotional connection, she should have taken more time for the characters to actually address the problems/issues instead of having them just 'get over it' and move on. I suppose I felt the emotional growth and connection between characters was too artificial, unrealistic. Some people may be able to forgive and forget easily, but not all. Overall, I think the characters are fairly immature in how the behave and relate to others.
As for the storyline of Mad Dog MC weaving throughout the 5 books, why wasn't the TBI involved in the police corruption? Why wasn't there more law enforcement interaction, because you know when people starting blowing things up and people start getting injured or killed, there will be law enforcement and media involved. So, this all didn't ring true to me.
This 5 book set contains the complete Stone Security series. Each book features one of the Stone siblings and their journey into a dedicated relationship. Character and plot development were minimal, but sufficient to maintain my interest in the individual books and the progressive storyline. Details were sometimes inconsistent with the stated protective nature of the Stone men. For example, in book two, the H put on a ballistic vest before going into danger with the h, but didn't provide one for her. For me, the series is good for a one time read and gets 3.5 stars.
This collection was so much better than I thought. It follows the Stone siblings, their security company adventures and their interesting relationships. Each one, although sharing a linked theme, can be read alone.
I enjoyed the back stories of each character and was glad the author included these details as it helped you understand the thinking behind their actions.
I would love to say which siblings story was my favorite, but I enjoyed them all. I only wish they had given a prologue for Carson’s story as I was a bit lost out her issue until about half way in the story.
An engaging and enjoyable read that is highly recommended if you enjoy alpha males finding their soulmates.
A complete 5 book series depicting every Stone sibling and their journeys to finding the love of their lives. Beautifully written, from every perpective including choas, love, heartbreak, heartwarming tenderness and did I mention love, oh yeah, there's plenty of that, but it's the journey they endure to finding that one great love that makes this book so amazing, yes it's long, 5 books long, each with its own happy ending, each character brought together in each book, but sooooo worth the read. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A good series full of red hot sexy males, feisty females and sizzling sex a great combination. All the Stone siblings have their own individual stories and each finding the love of their lives whilst taking on various enemies but mostly fighting bad motorcycle clubs. Its a good entertaining read.
Each story was a quick read. Each Stone son, you want to fall in love with, Glenna does a great job in pulling you into the story. I wonder if these kind of security businesses exist in the U.S.? I really like reading the individual stories and how they relate to each other to tell the whole story in a series. Keep it up Glenna Sinclair!
Jack is a dick for most of his story but I ended up liking him a bit. Brent is lovely and I feel bad for him ending up with who he ended up with. Remy I intensely dislike (even when she showed up on Brent's story). She's a judgmental little girl who never has anything nice to say about anyone apart her love interest Bo.
I love the flow and timeline of the story, how each person has their own character and history even among family members. I'm thrilled that this series can surprise me and is far from cliche. It didn't end with a perfect ending, simply a happy one. Which makes it even better and more relatable.
Every character, couple scene, and the romance was phenomenal. A great collection to read together cohesively back to back for the entire maximum effect. I'm glad I got this when it was a free download, it took longer to get to this book and review it but it was the time and a well written conclusion.
The Stone family is a force to be reckoned with. Four hot brothers and one sister. They love and support each other something fierce. Each book is based on one family member but they all feature in each book. Love comes along and knocks them upside down.
The Stone family series is filled with drama, Love, suspense, and family. It shows how love can conquer all even if it takes a few turns and falls to get there. It has some strong female characters, and sexy men. What could be better?
Well-written stories. Loved the continuity from one book to the next. Struggled with some of the editing and word choices/ usage, though. I'll be looking for other books by this author.
I seriously can't get enough of Glenna Sinclair's books! This series in particular touched my heart with the Stone family. Each story kept me hooked with the love, trials and dedication (and much more) each one had with each other. Keep 'em coming Glenna!
Loved the full series of Stone Security, just hope there will be more to follow. Loved every person and the romance, along with the exciting drama to follow each couple. Cindy Riley
I loved this series! The author did such a great job keeping the reader in the moment with the suspense. I truly wish there was another series just like this out there. I will be checking out Ms. Sinclair's other books...
What a wonderful family. This series was full of love. I think each member of the family finally found the love that their parents shared with each other. Great series.
Glenna Sinclair hit it out of the ballpark with stone security. I can't get enough of her books. The characters are amazing and the storylines exciting and riveting. I can hardly wait for the next book .
This booked sucked me in until the end. I like how all the stories are intertwined and riveting, I used to read everyday and especially every night but feel off but I'm back at it again! Favorite new author!
The first two were the best. Jack and Brent. But the other three not bad at all. The only thing really bad is you could tell that Glenna Sinclair has never been to Memphis.
