Over 200,000 Charlie Cooper books are now in the hands of mystery readers!

Fans of Stephanie Plum will get hooked on this quirky cast of characters and their mishaps.

Charlie's new life in her hometown, Springston, is surely like a rollercoaster ride. You know, when you want to jump for joy, close your eyes, scream from the top of your lungs, throw up and pass out...all at the same time. Anything else would be just plain boring.

Together with Marge and Celeste, her business partners and new best friends, Charlie sets out to fight crime in Springston by being an undercover detective. But that sounds easier than it actually is.
Her new case involves surveillance of a husband who is presumably unfaithful to his wife. Pretty simple, right? Wrong!

When a dead body appears, and said husband disappears, things might just get out of hand.
Between finding the missing spouse, going to cocktail class with her mom, saving a disastrous dinner involving the hottest cop in town and fixing a laptop she has no clue about, it's time for Charlie to step up before it's not too late.

Diced is a fast-paced, stress-free humorous mystery with a touch of romance and compelling twists and turns. A light read with no gore or foul language, this book is perfect to unwind at the end of the day.

Another goofy, fun read

I enjoy a good, oddball cozy mystery that isn't too realistic and a lot of fun. The series is definitely oddball and goofy, while a real mystery is always solved. What I would like is less squeaking from Mage and a little more maturity from Charlie. Her and Alex act like they are in middle school when they are almost 30! Other than that, a fun series to read.

I am really enjoying this series of mysteries!
CMC Services has customers walking in the door. That’s a good thing for a new business. Right? Well it would be if they were in fact knowledgeable about the subject matter and/or able to make the repairs related to malfunctioning computers. You know, the business front they chose to use as a cover for their “top-secret” business as undercover detectives. They may be ace detectives, in their minds at least; however, they are notorious for jumping into situations without any advance planning or forethought. As a result, they find themselves in a world of trouble a lot of the time. Reminds me of old TV situation comedies where I was highly entertained at the antics of folks acting before thinking. It stands to reason that since I enjoyed those shows, I would love reading the stories of these girls trying to solve mysteries in their haphazard sort of way. Of course, adding in a touch of romance and a lot of humor just makes the story more entertaining. This book may not go down in history as a literary masterpiece; but as a source of entertainment, I rate it, “excellent”, as a 5-star read.

Remember The Back Way!

Charlie Cooper is moving back into her childhood home with her parents, again. Dodging arrows when she left her apartment window open in her old apartment facing the archery field was too much
exercise for her! With the help of her partners, Celeste and Marge, and her brother, Brad, she gets everything back into place in her old room.
CMC Investigations just got the check from their last case, so now they can pay the month’s rent on their office! This time they have two new tasks:
First they’re hired to repair a laptop by someone who thinks their cover business is for real! There are only two problems with that;they know nothing about computer repair, and there’s a novel locked inside the laptop that the owner is desperate to recover!
Then they’re supposed to get the goods on a philandering husband. The husband, Stanley works at the Busy Bee, and they’ll just follow him and see what he’s up to doing! But while they’re watching the front door, and killing time, they forget about the back door!
To find out who goes in and out the back and who’s in the store read Diced!

A funny side-splitting cozy mystery you just can't put down!

Charlie Cooper and her friends and partners, Celeste and Marge have a Private Investigation business while pretending to be a computer repair business. They are Hired to follow a cheating husband and when he disappears and there is a dead body found that could be related to the disappearing husband, and then there is the gambling ring, the trio have their hands full. Deany writes cozy mysteries with plenty of twists and turns and red-herrings to keep you turning pages. And if that is not enough, I couldn't stop laughing at the antics of the three of them! This is the third book in the series and each one has more and more intrigue but also more and more side-splitting humor! Can't wait for the next book in this series. This is a must read if you like cozy mysteries that you can't guess until the end and funny, quirky characters that keep you laughing.

I received this book as an ARC, I will not show up as a verified purchase.
Charlie, Marge, and Celeste are hired to watch a suspected unfaithful husband. And also get their first client with a computer that needs repaired. Only problem is not one of them know the first thing about computers.
With Charlie's mom learning to be a bartender, a dead body connected to their client's husband, and stumbling into the world of underground gambling. This case may prove to be too much for them.
Deany Ray has written a story with well developed characters, a good deal of intrigue, and lots of humor that will have you laughing throughout the book.

Bumbling Through Life

Three women have started a detective agency, CMC, and their first client is an angry woman trying to find her rotten husband who is spending the money in their joint saving. She suspects he is cheating.
The three detectives find themselves butting up against the local police when the women find a dead person in the shop where the deadbeat husband works.
The story was a little wordy with details not relevant to the case, but I still kept reading.
Some humor to chuckle about and I liked the characters.

Another fun romp with Charlie, Marge and Celeste (CMC Enterprise). Opening the private eye business under the cover of a computer repair office, of course the first guy in the door needs his computer repaired. They can't come up with enough excuses to convince him to take his computer somewhere else. Yep, pretty much, their trials and tribulations go on from there. Charlie's mom has taken up a new endeavor, learning to mix drinks. Alex is invited over for dinner, and the silly investigator doesn't seem to know he is allergic to shellfish. And the fun continues in this manner.

blood is thicker than water

I really like the plot and storyline but I’m not a fan of two characters. I started to read this series because of a review that mentioned a favorite author of mine and decided to give this series a try. So far the stories are quick, clean reads.
Based on the review I thought these stories would be funnier, but they aren’t. They are still cute stories but I have a hard time with two of the characters and tend to skip over some of those parts pertaining to those characters.

This is third in the series. The main characters are 3 girls who are starting up a detective business. They don't always know what they are doing but they somehow get it done. They start out without the police chief giving them a case. Mainly he is doing this so his ex wife, one of the 3 girls, won't spill the beans about something he did. It is a funny read and it keeps your interest. Look forward to more of this series.

Female

Why are women so underrated? This group seem to stumble through investigating and plop down on a police assisted solution. Their hearts seem to be in the right place, but their skills need a lot of work. Nobody would pick them out of a lineup as they good guys coming to the rescue. Keeps you reading just to find out how they are going to get out of the predicament that they flung themselves in to.

Diced (A Charlie Cooper Mystery) #5

I loved it, all the people sounds like people in my small town. I am a lazy brother and makes my sisters shake their head. It is funny and I really like the 3 ladies, and I like a lot of the people in town. You should read it. I can’t wait for #6

I liked the story line. I had a hard time reading this one though. There were a number of editing errors (words that were in the wrong place, wrong words, etc) causing me to have to re-read a sentence or lose the rhythm of the story. This just felt like it may have been rushed to publication.

Similarities between a husband and a laptop

Not as good as the first two books. Seems to have lost the humour and the storyline is mediocre. Can they fix a laptop and find a missing husband? Hope the next one is back to the zany, funny sort that I enjoyed.
