This player’s got a lot to learn if he wants to score . . . with the boss’s daughter.

Football is more than a game to me. It’s my calling. Becoming the Dallas Wranglers’ starting quarterback before I retire is a dream come true, but with a few wins under my belt, suddenly everyone wants a piece of me. And even though being in the spotlight has its perks—beautiful women, star treatment, more beautiful women—what really gets me sweating is the watchful gaze of my sexy-as-hell PR coach, Savannah Andrews. The catch? Her father is kind of my boss. . . .

In my family, football is big business. When your dad owns an NFL franchise, you learn a thing or two about schmoozing, and from what I can tell, it’s not a skill in Jason Stone’s playbook. Sure, the veteran quarterback is literally larger than life. With broad shoulders, muscles on muscles, and a mouth made for kissing, he may be one of the hottest men in the league—and I should know. I’ve turned down enough players to start my own all-star team. But those guys just wanted to get close to my father. Meanwhile, Stone is getting temptingly close . . . to me.

Despite I had a feeling I read this storyline a couple of times (only with different title and MCs), I still enjoyed this book.
No manufactured drama – amazing!!!

What I absolutely adored – hero’s love for his mother. Best thing ever!!! It was so sweet how he loved and cared for her. He called her every time before the game. This man was a great son.

It was kind of foreseeable from the blurb, that the hero wasn’t a monk *lol*, so it would be lame to complain about his playboy’s past, dance-and-flirt scene with OW, and some of his comments and especially some of horrible comments of his teammates about other women/groupies etc. I can’t stand dumb horny males throwing insults and dirty jokes and all this mixed with slut-shaming… Ugh! It wasn’t OTT, and let be honest – almost all CR books use this trope.
What I actually wanted to say – it would be a pleasant surprise to read a book without those clichés.

Back to the positive sides: very likable heroine, smart and self-confident.
I liked her, and I asked myself why such decent woman would be friends with an obviously shallow female (h’s BFF) – and this one was a defensive attorney? Like for real?!?
What’s wrong with writing smart friends, who actually give a good advice and not a silly one?!

A good surprise and personal thanks to the author – > the potential conflict (with possible outcome when the heroine were the guilty one and probably needed to grovel) was solved light and quick without any unnecessary drama and she didn’t need to apologize. Great!
Call me a hypocrite, but I hate when a woman grovels; the only acceptable grovel - is a grovel done by a man.

No extended epilogue 😯
I wanted more! Since it was probably my only book in this series, I wanted to read about MCs future together!

This is my first Nicole Edwards book. She’s known for her super steamy reads and if you are sports and steam fan, then this book is for you.

There’s nothing like a simple sports book with low angst to get you through a rainy day. Bad Business is a standalone and is part of the Bad Boys of Sports series.

Stone is the new quarterback to the team. He’s not your typical Hero you read. He wanted to play for a new team and he plans on retiring after the season. I guess he’s just really mature and he’s ready to move on to something else. I was kind of surprised by Stone since I expected him to be full of himself, but I found him really sweet.

Savannah’s dad owns the football team and she also manages the PR. I’m not too sure she took the PR stuff seriously but she does run around the football boys a lot. She is serious about her job and she’s all about work. I felt like Savannah wasn’t very mature, but I have to remember she’s in her twenties and her Daddy owns the team so there you go. I like her attitude towards work, but she had a thing for Stone real bad. Meaning she wanted to get into his pants.

But not everything is that simple right?

There were some slow moving parts in the book and I felt like there was a lot talk between friends and the main characters on how to make choices, so I valued the interactions between Stone and Savannah. Also the steamy parts broke apart from all of the talks. I’m an action kind of girl, that’s just me.

I understood the issue and I knew Savannah had a job, but Stone is so sweet you couldn’t help but root for him. I also like it when the Hero chases after the Heroine.

Overall, it was a pleasant read and it won’t be the last from this author.

Don't let the title of the series fool you. I've been pleasantly surprised to find that the Bad Boys of Sports are actually really good guys and I love it!

Jason Stone may have been a player in the start of his career, but he's been around the block long enough to know when a woman wants him for his money and fame. And he wants nothing to do with that. When he meets Savannah for the first time, he finds it refreshing that she isn't impressed by who he is.

Savannah has grown up in the business since her father owns the Dallas Wranglers. When she feels obligated to attend a celebration over the teams win, she catches the eye of Jason Stone. She isn't normally tempted by the players but there is just something about Jason that keeps drawing her eye.

I loved these two together. There is usually a characteristic about one or both of the MC's I don't like but I can't say that about Jason or Savannah. They were mature and treated the budding relationship in a mature manner. When Jason could have turned against Savannah for something that she had to do, he didn't. I love the fact that the author kept this interesting without taking the excess drama route.

If you love sports romance, I highly recommend this series. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Despite being one of the bad boys of sports, Jason’s dedication is to his team and the game. He may be thinking of retiring but for now that decision is pushed to the side as he leads the Dallas Wranglers toward the playoffs.

Savannah grew up living and breathing football. As the owner’s daughter, she works as the PR woman to help clean up and improve any of the player’s images that have been tarnished. When her father instructs her to shadow Jason Stone in order to find out what his intentions are at the end of the season, she’s stuck in a quandary. She never gets involved with players and the fact that her father is throwing her into Stone’s sphere means she’s going to be spending a lot of time with her one night stand.

I really enjoyed the relationship between this couple. With their lighthearted banter and their ability to talk openly with each other, it felt as though Stone and Savannah became friends first, even if it was after their one night stand. This is a very low angst read with no ow/om drama. The steam level is extreme once they get involved and we have some dirty talk from Stone that would make any woman melt. The beginning was a bit slow after their initial meeting but once they meet again things picked up the pace.

Overall, this was a great read perfect for those who like less drama and more relationship mixed in with their football.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Loveswept. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I m always stunned all over again by the sexual heat Nicole Edwards writes about...it's like you are actually living it right there at the spot...lol

Hawt damn...

The storyline is a classical equation of 'forbidden romance in a working place' yet the 'forbidden' part here is really non-existing, meaning that the spotlight is actually set on a 'growing feelings' between the main characters over their obvious sexual chemistry.

A bit slower in pace, and no angst at all, this romance, sexy as hell drama filled with fantastic witty dialogues and palpable, vivid sexual tension, will drench your panties with a sigh or two...*wink*

If you are looking for something that has a story, is quick to read and is extremely sizzling hot in all the right places then this is a book you don't want to miss! Even though this is book 2 in the Bad Boys of Sports series, each book can be read as a total standalone.

Stone is the Dallas Wranglers starting quarterback and definitely a hit with the ladies. However Stones mind is in the game and he has a wise head on his shoulders so for the most part he side swerves advances from said ladies because he knows it's all about the fame and money with most of them and he ain't interested. That is until Savannah comes along. Savannah is VP of PR for the Dallas Wranglers and her Dad also happens to be the owner.

Savannah is level headed and has turned down all the advances ever made from football players that is until Stone comes along and shocks her because Stone isn't your usual cocky, I love myself guy, he is grounded and doesn't throw himself at women like all the other players do. Will they both break their own rules or will they just break each others hearts?

This book was a breath of fresh air to read. It has the usual hotness I have come to expect from a Nicole Edwards book but also has a beginning, middle and ending so it doesn't leave you hanging in anticipation for the next book in the series. The characters are lovable because they have that older maturity and their chemistry for each other is sizzling hot which appeals to me greatly.

The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because I thought it could have done with some sort of large angsty twist in the plot line, maybe with Savannah's Dad or something. Overall though I loved it and can't wait to see whats next in this series.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Firstly, the guy on the cover screams more “rock star” than NFL quarterback. I use the cover models as my “picture of the person” when reading books. This cover doesn’t accurately represent the people in the story, in my opinion.

Jason Stone, who just goes by Stone, is the QB for the Dallas Wranglers (which is a lame name, IMO). He has signed a one year contract and has plans to retire at the end of the year, despite only being 34.

Savannah Andrews father owns the Wranglers and she works PR for the team. She is attracted to Stone, but feels that she shouldn’t pursue a relationship with him because she’s the owners daughter.

This book is overtly sexual. I don’t have a problem with that, but it was more about them having sex than about them developing an actual relationship. Up until the end it was all about ripping each other clothes off.

I did like Jason a lot. He’s a good guy who loves his mother a lot. As a mother of boys, I have a lot of respect for that. Savannah was ok, but she was pretty insecure and skittish and could not stand up to her father and brothers, which I couldn’t respect.

There was a lot of football in the book, and references to real times, which I liked (I’m a big football fan). Overall, this book just fell flat in character development.

It was ok. Nice and easy. No drama, nothing to remember.
Their chemistry is off the charts, though, but nothing really happened, except lots of sex.

Bad Business is the second book in the Bad Boys of Sports series and each book can be read as a standalone...Jason Stone is thirty-four and a three-time Super Bowl Champion. His the newest acquisition on the Dallas Wranglers and plays as a quarterback. Although now, that he is bringing the team up, for the next Super Bowl Championship, every team wants him, but he wants to retire. Not to leave the world of sport, but he just is not sure yet, what to do next.

The owner of the Dallas Wranglers wants him for another two years, but he signed only a one-year contract, because he was home and because he wanted to win with the team the Super Bowl Championship.

He is in the spotlight, but after he had his fair share of ladies, he is bored and tired of them. He knows that the ladies want him only for the money and the fame, they just threw themselves at him. Stone is a wonderful specimen of a man, sinful, charming, he has a loving family and a great career, and now, the chance to be for the fourth time a Super Bowl Champion...He has his head in the game.

While out celebrating a win, someone catches his eye...A woman is checking him out. She is nothing like the others. He was expecting that she threw herself at him, but it was just the opposite. She hit him with her jokes and her sarcasm, and she kept her true identity to herself. They end up in bed, but the next morning he wakes up alone and definitely wondering about her.

Savannah is none other than the daughter of the Dallas Wranglers and the VP of PR and she does a really good job. She loves the game...

So not fair how beautiful Jessica Lowndes is. Love HER, her hair, and makeup!!

She never mixed business with pleasure, always stayed away from football players. She turned down all the advances from the players. She knew that the players wanted her because she was the owner's daughter...But that is until Stone.

Stone shocks her in a very good way. She thought that he is just like all the others players. He is nothing like he is known, he isn't cocky or selfish like he is the God or a Star. His just a simple guy and he doesn't throw himself at the ladies like all the other players do. She knew who he was, and she thought that this would be just a one night stand, but boy was she wrong...

This book is charming, sexy and very well written and I liked the chemistry and attraction between the two characters...but I wanted more.

I recommend this book! 💝

**ARC provided by the author for an honest review**

A sexy, entertaining sports romance, Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is the second book in the Bad Boys of Sports series. I love sports romance novels, and this book did not disappoint. It was entertaining whether you’re a football fan or not.

Jason Stone is a three time Super Bowl champion, the new quarterback to the Wranglers. A veteran looking to retire in his hometown. Jason is down right sinful and charming. Aside from his looks, he has a great career, a loving family, and a chance at a fourth Super Bowl Championship. The only thing he lacks is love. While out celebrating a win he spots a woman who catches his eye, in the best possible way. They decide to have a little fun and end up in a very steamy situation. But when Jason wakes up the next morning, the woman is long gone and he is left wondering about her.

Savannah Andrews always told her self to stay away from football players. Growing up as the daughter of the Wranglers owner, she learned quickly that most football players were nothing but trouble. Savannah loved the game, and wanted nothing more then to be part of the team. When she spots Jason at a club, she thinks he is just like all the other single players. Savannah figured it would be a one and done deal, boy was she wrong.

As Jason leads the team on a winning streak, the owner of the Wranglers was desperate to sign Jason on for a couple more years. Both Jason and Savannah decide to work together, under false pretenses, and for personal reasons. The chemistry was undeniable and they couldn’t get enough of each other. Their relationship is not easy, Savannah feels like she is misleading him, but Jason is not just an innocent bystander.

The novel is sexy, charming, and well written. The characters were a lot of fun to read, they were great as a couple, but as individuals as well. I was excited to dive into the Wranglers world, and can not wait for the next book in the series.

4 star read!

3.75 - Steamy, Hilarious and Fun - Full review to come.

I don’t read very many sports romance books, but this one definitely did not let me down. Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is the second book in the Bad Boys of Sports series that can be read as a standalone. It’s fun, sexy, entertaining and swoony.

Jason Stone is the new star quarterback to the Dallas Wranglers and three time Super Bowl champion who’s planning to retire in his hometown. He’s successful, sexy, handsome and incredibly charming. He’s got an awesome career and a long list of gorgeous women who wants a piece of him. However, Jason has his eyes and heart set on the sexy bombshell PR, Savannah Andrews. Only problem – her father is his boss.

Savannah Andrews is the daughter of the Wranglers owner and has learned a thing or two about the dangers of falling for football players. She knows they’re nothing but trouble.. yet she can’t resist letting Jason Stone get close to her… dangerously close.

This book was fun to read, but after reading several chapters, I actually put it aside for a while. Not the author or book’s fault. Sometimes, I just get into weird moods and I just wasn’t feeling the story. However, once I picked it up again, I was quite surprised to find myself intrigued with the story. There were a few slow parts, but overall the pacing was great. The steamy parts were spine-tingling awesome and the light drama/conflict made the book more interesting. I would have wanted some more angst or a bit of push and pull or even some action.. but overall, it was a delightful romance story.

Savannah and Jason were wonderful characters. I enjoyed them together and loved how they were strong and amazing in their own ways. Savannah was a great lead — confident, hard-working, beautiful, and smart. Jason was pleasantly sweet and just a really great guy. I adored his relationship with his mother and thought they were just the cutest. There’s something so endearing about men who are close to their moms.

I absolutely LOVED the chemistry between Jason and Savannah. It was electrifying and wickedly HOT! Their relationship also had that forbidden love vibe which made all their interactions a bit more exciting and so fun to read.

Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is a lighthearted and playful romance story. It has charm, humor, some drama, and ridiculously steamy scenes! Definitely will be checking out the other books in the series.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest and fair review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Savannah Andrews is not the kind of woman who mixes business with pleasure, especially when it comes to professional football players because she sees them as nothing but trouble, but when veteran quarterback, Jason Stone, takes over her father’s team, the Dallas Wranglers, she quickly learns that he’s not the typical cocky QB and that her first impression was way off base.

But regardless of Savannah’s attraction to Stone, crossing the line when it comes to their professional relationship is not something she wants to do, but that might be an inevitability once their paths collide, leaving them with a difficult decision to make…give in to their desire or draw a line and not allow their bodies and perhaps even their hearts to overpower their heads.

I love that this series is titled the Bad Boys of Sports because it makes readers assume that the heroes will be nothing but manwhores whose bad behavior overshadows their athletic ability, but that is so not the case with Jason Stone, because even if he has to prove himself to the woman he desperately wants, the only time he’s a player is when he’s on the football field and that’s the reason Savannah has such a difficult time staying away from him even when it could change not only the dynamics of her career but also her relationship with her father since he’s the one who signs both of their checks.

Nicole Edwards, once again, creates a steamy sports romance that is a great mix of lust and passion; it’s an insider’s look at how a professional sports team operates and it also illustrates how the determination of an athlete translates into an alpha male who will fight for the woman he wants in his bed for more than one night.

4.5 stars!

Jason Stone!!!! OMG, this man is the alpha male of my freaking dreams! March is definitely the month for books that have completely blown me away. I honestly couldn't put this book down. Bad Business is erotic, charming, and incredibly sexy!

Bad Business is the story of one man (Jason Stone) on the verge of making the toughest decision of his life....should he retire after this season or should he continue playing. As a veteran quarterback Stone has decided to sign on with the Dallas Wranglers to finish up his football career. He's dead set on taking this team to the superbowl to win his fourth superbowl ring. He however didn't bargain for being brought to his knees by his boss's daughter, Savannah.

Being the daughter of a franchise owner Savannah has learned anonymity is her best friend. She never expected her night out on the town with her best friend would lead her to getting in between the sheets with the new Wrangler quarterback, nor did she ever imagine she would have the hottest night of her life.

I loved Bad Business by Nicole Edwards. The chemistry between Savannah and Stone is out of this world, from the beginning to the end. I couldn't get enough of these two! One thing I have to mention that I absolutely loved about this novel is that there was no unnecessary drama. It was a good time read! Savannah and Stone's back and forth banter made for some crazy sexual tension. I literally had to put my kindle down a few times to catch a breath. Holy hell these two burned up the pages!

If you're looking for a good time sexy novel, I highly recommend Bad Business by Nicole Edwards!!!

Jason Stone may have been a player when he started his sports career but he isn’t now that his career is really going. He has seen what gold-diggers are out there and has been around too many times to know he was a true woman in his life and wants nothing to do with those fake out there. When he meets Savannah for the first time, he knows he is someone he wants to know more about for she is true and real, not fake. Savannah has grown up in the business since her father owns the Dallas Wranglers. When she realizes she has caught Jason’s eye, she isn’t sure what she thinks about that at first. Players normally don’t catch her eye but something about Jason makes her look twice and think twice as hard. She is attracted to Stone, but feels that she shouldn’t pursue a relationship with him because she’s the owner’s daughter. Let me say this is a very sexual story and has a lot of intense chemistry between the H/h. I loved the premise of the story but something about the main characters rubbed me the wrong way. I am not sure what it was but they were annoying at times. I wanted to like them but they just came off as entitled and unlikeable. I tried to overlook it but it was hard. I liked the storyline and I enjoyed the secondary characters but it was hard to connect with the characters. I enjoy Nicole Edward’s writing normally but this story did not connect with me like she normally does. Overall, this was an ok to good story so I will just rate this as an ok story and look forward to her next book.

Gotta Get Stone’d

This is the second book in Nicole Edwards “Bad Reputation” series - both are amazing yet completely different. Different sport, different characters the same praise worthy feeling you get once you read them. Which means you can read these books in any order, anytime - I recommend now.

“I want her like I’ve never wanted anyone else in my life. And I’d like to think that’s merely a physical reaction, but I’m not sure that’s the case. In fact, I know that’s not the case.”

Bad Business is a football related story directly focused on Jason Stone -quarterback. Jason is more than just a lovable character - he is sexy, hot, kind hearted, a family man and an amazing football player. There’s no time for love when you are completely focused on winning a Super Bowl for your new team in your home town. Does a particular distraction cause Stone to fail his attempts to give his team the win or not? Does he just end up retiring or signing on for more? This is such a great and moving story about love that once again Edwards easily consumes you from page one. Her tendency to write some of the hottest scenes I’ve ever read is a gift she excels at.

This book is just another reason why I will always be a loyal reader to Nicole Edwards. She has created quite a few masterpieces for me to read and this book fits perfectly in that category.

“For the first time in my life, I’m taking what I want, consequences be damned.”

There’s something about sports romance that makes for some the hottest reads; I’m claiming it’s the stamina our heroes tend to have. Edwards next Bad Boys of sports is filled with its moments of sexy times but it’s also a feel-good romance. With little drama and a focus on a forbidden romance that both our hero and heroine continue to fight, Bad Business was a fun read.

After a wild night with with the hottest woman Stone’s ever met, our football star is coming to terms with his future retirement. Turns out his lovely lady is his boss’s daughter. With an unclear future, an affair with Savannah could be a huge distraction. But this action man knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. His charming pursuit of Savannah is romantic and sexual all at he same time!

Savannah’s not one to break her own rules. But a night with the rumored ladies man of her father’s football team becomes an opportunity she can’t pass. Stone is charming, funny, and these two click like you wouldn’t believe. An undeniable chemistry links not only their sexy life but their ability to carry on conversation with witty and sarcastic banter. As danger of their affair is set to leak, this sports office trust leaves readers fulfilled with an age old question: is love worth everything? (P.s. it so is)

This was another fantastic story by Nicole Edwards. I love a good sports romance and this one absolutely fits the bill. Jason Stone, aka Stone, the Quarterback of his team is out for a night of fun when he meets a woman who quickly gets into his head and under his skin. He soon learns his mystery woman from that night will be around more then he imagined. Especially since her father owns the team he plays for.

Savannah is used to football players saying they're interested in her, but really being interested in her football connections. But the moment she meets Stone, she notices how different he seems. And the more time they spend together the more she realizes this may just be the guy who's actually interested in just her.

I honestly loved Stone. He and Savannah had great chemistry and I loved how his bad boy reputation had a really mature spin on it. Nicole Edwards just did an amazing job with this leading man and he's going to be one of my top favorites in sports romance. Confident with a good head on his shoulders. Kind and respectful, especially to his mother. I'm definitely in love.

I easily lost myself in this story. It was well written with a great flow, awesome and well developed characters, and the icing on the cake was the moment when everything could have gone wrong and people could have overreacted but finally a main character handled their problem like an adult. It was a perfect reading moment.

This 5 star romance is one I very highly recommend.

Savannah is used to being around football players. Her father has been the owner of a NFL team for as long as she can remember. Because of this she has steered away from any relationships with football players. When she started working for her father she stayed with her professional only status. That is until Jason Stone.

Jason Stone was drafted to the Wranglers in hopes he could turn this team around and bring home a winning season. With the season almost over that is exactly what he has done. Even though the season is almost over Savannah has not been introduced to Jason. When they first meet she hides her identity from him. After a heated night she vanishes without a goodbye. Knowing she will eventually run into him again has her tied up in knots. Stone can't stop thinking about her so when they meet again he is not angry about her with holding who she is.

Savannah know mixing business with pleasure is a bad business decision but she can not seem to stay away. Will their need for each other affect his game or can they get the win in both the game and life.

This was a great addition to the series.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Savannah doesn't mind working for the family business, her father owns the Dallas Wranglers football team. She's just glad that she's able to be do her job mostly behind the scenes, leaving the public faces of the team to her father and brothers.

Stone has only signed a one year contract but with the Wranglers on a winning streak and the odds of making the playoffs getting better after every win, her father wants to know what it will take to get him to sign a contract extension. The problem is, Stone isn't sure if he wants to continue to play the game. He's had a great career and the Super Bowl rings to prove it. He wouldn't mind one more to add to his collection, but he's not sure if he's willing to put his body through another few years of torture for a chance to win a couple of more rings.

The more Savannah learns about Stone, the more she likes the man off the gridiron. He's smart, funny and seems to really like her. Not just because she's the boss's daughter but may be in spite of it.

I enjoyed reading about Stone and Savannah and the way their romance played out over the course of the book. The book took a familiar storyline (sports romance) and made it new again.

Bad Business is the second installment in the Bad Boys of Sports series.
I’d say this could be read as a standalone because I didn’t find any trouble enjoying or following along.

Sports romance is one of my favorite sub-genres. There is just something about it that I tend to gravitate towards.
And this book was quite entertaining right from the start.

Stone is one sexy dirty talking hero who instantly had my attention.
When his gaze lock on the beautiful brunette with the brilliant green eyes, he just has to know her.

Savannah isn’t interested in messing around with football players. Growing up around the sport, she knows all that goes on behind the scenes. But when she’s approached by a certain gorgeous athlete she can’t help but be taken by his witty banter and gripping personality.

Both of them are clear about not wanting anything serious; they’re just looking for a little fun.
As the story goes on you get to see how compatible they are together.
I really enjoyed their developing friendship and feelings - it was fun, steamy and exciting.

My only minor complaint is that it became slightly repetitive towards the end.

This was my first read by this author and it definitely won’t be my last; her writing style is one I enjoyed.
If you enjoy a good sports romance with a twist, I’d definitely give this one a try.

** I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, provided by the publisher - through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own**

I was pulled right into this story. They have laughs, lust, love, secrets, and forever.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Bad Reputation (Bad Boys of Sports, #1)

This is Savannah and Stone's story. Stone has it all. He is has gotten his biggest dream to come true but now everyone wants a piece of him. After one night at a club he thought he held something but when he wakes up alone he has to wonder. He wants a piece of some forbidden fruit. The daughter of his boss is a no no. But she is his PR coach. He had a taste and wants so much more. 0Savannah knows about football after all her father owns a NFL franchise. The players all want to get close to her father so she turns them down left and right but Stone is different. For one he can’t schmooze like the rest of the team. He wants close to Savannah not her father. But he’s a player and she is wondering if he’s playing her.

I recommend this book and anything by this author.

ARC provided by Net Galley for an honest review:

I LOVE sport romances. I have become addicted to them,
and when I find a good one, I get really happy. Bad
Business was a quick, fun, read and at the end I was
really cheering for Stone and Savannah.
Savannah is my favorite type of girl, she is a professional,
who puts her work first. She works for the Dallas
Wrangler's, the professional football team, her daddy
owns. She is P.R. , she knows how to do her job and
is really good at it.
Savannah meets Stone in a bar, and when I say
sparks fly, they really fly. Stone doesn't realize
who Savannah is, but he is captivated by her. Savannah
knows exactly who Stone is, and is not sure if
she is ready to be involved in a player like him.
But here's the thing, Stone wants more. He is
ready to retire, and wants to settle down. I really
enjoyed watching Stone chase Savannah, and
I loved these characters together.

This is the 2nd in a series. I did not read the first but I don’t think I missed anything as a result. This one read like a stand alone for me. I loved Jason and Savannah. Their romance was so good. It was a really good sports romance with strong, realistic characters. I like that the story felt real and the hero/heroine felt like actual people. The author didn’t create drama and chaos just for story interest. It was just two mature people falling in love. I really enjoyed this one and plan to go back and read the first in the series.

NOTE: I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

Bad Business (Bad Boys of Sports #2) by Nicole Edwards
3.5 stars
M/F Sports romance
I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is a typical sports romance story. Stone is a high profile quarterback who is helping to bring a lower team up to the Superbowl again. He is cocky and a smart player. He lives for the game. But, when Savannah catches his eye, he'll do what he can to make sure that he is what she needs.

Savannah is living in the shadow of her father. Despite her intelligence, her dad sometimes uses her for her looks rather than her degree. When she lets her hair down for a night, it seems that the connection that was made won't let go.

Savannah and Stone have to navigate a working relationship and a private relationship. It is a sweet story that follows their choices and how they navigate. For people who have read Edwards' books before, this is definitely not erotica - but more of a true romance. Stone and Savannah's chemistry is still hot, but they have a more organic relationship.

Overall, this is a quick read that is not angsty or full of turmoil.

I adore Nicole Edwards but for the first time, one of her books just didn't do much for me. I struggled to even finish the book. There are two reasons that I can identify: Firstly, the book had waaay more information about the sport of football than I ever wanted to know, and secondly, I couldn't seem to connect with the h. There just wasn't anything about her personality or her life that I could admire or relate to.

I LOVED this book. I love sports romance, the fact that Danny Amendola was mentioned as a hotty of the NF, I love Nicole Edwards writing and her knowledge of football,... I just loved everything about this book! I finished it in one sitting. I didn't not want to put it down!

Stone and Savannah were so cute and yet hot together at the same time!!

This is the second book in the Bad Boys of Sports series but each can be read as a standalone.

Jason Stone and Savannah Andrews meet in a local night club when their eyes connect across the crowded space. Jason isn’t looking for a hook up, in fact he is so over that as reaching his mid-thirties he wants something more. The more he gets to know the stunning woman the more he wants even though he knows nothing about her. Savannah on the other hand knows everything about the triple Super Bowl champion and new quarterback for the Dallas Wranglers. As the daughter of the owner of the Wranglers it’s her job to know the players. What isn’t her job is to hook up with any of them, however this sexy man is just too irresistible.

I liked how Stone and Savannah meet as strangers and the banter they had was hilarious. The sex scenes were sizzling as can be expected from Ms Edwards but even outside the bedroom this pair were hot. It was good how Savannah kept her identity a secret and made it all the more exciting when the reveal was made.

There was plenty of depth between the pair besides the hot steamy scenes which gave a good balance to this sports romance. Not being a sports fan myself it didn’t go into drastic detail about the sport which is always a good thing when none of it makes sense to me. Haha!

The banter between the secondary characters was a winner too and I liked the hint of secrecy and suspense Savannah’s father’s task relayed.

Overall this was another winner from Nicole Edwards with lovable characters, a great storyline and plenty of passion and intensity. Four stars.

Bad Business by Nicole Edwards is the second book in her Bad Boys of Sports series and it was a fun and sexy sport romance.

Jason Stone is beyond excited to be the starting quarterback for the Dallas Wranglers’. Its his dream come true, but now he finds himself under the spotlight and in need of some PR skills help. He is ready for this and loves the spotlight and all it brings, but he was not ready for Savannah Andrews.

Savannah’s life has been full of football. Can’t really help it when your dad own a football team. Her job has always been PR and PR prep. And with all the football players in her life, she has learned a thing or two about keeping them at a distance. That is until Stone. Stone does not seem to want anything from her, only her.

Stone was a nice surprise as an athlete. He was sensible, smart, sexy and could be sweet. Savannah was determined to keep things professional with all the players on her dad’s team. But one look at Stone and she was a goner. As they spend more time together, they get to know each other. I loved how they interacted with each other and how light their relationship was.

I love reading sports romances and Nicole Edwards’ Bad Business fit right in. It was steamy, sexy and so much fun to read. It was not full of angst and drama, but sweet and charming.

Happy reading!

Bad Business is the story of Jason and Savannah . I truly love a good sports romance and Bad Business certainly did not disappoint !! This couple on their own are wonderful but put them together and they are dynamic. Sexy, smart and fun . This is the first book in this series for me but falling for the Dallas Wranglers !!

A pretty entertaining read set in the crazy world of professional football and in my home state of Texas! The relationship between Savannah and Jason is mature, with no unnecessary angst, and full of steam... great couple!
