A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

Such a cute plot. This was the first book in the series I read (read it for a reading challenge to satisfy a palindromic title), and I will definitely be going back to start at the beginning. I love all things small town, country, and HORSES! Bonus points if you throw in a romance.

Hannah Farraday is working as a equestrian therapist at her cousin Connor's new equestrian ranch Capaill. It is not opened up yet, but close. Hannah is trying out a new horse when a motorcycle starts up, scares the horse, and dumps Hannah. Dale Johnson is the man riding the motorcycle, sees what happens, and goes to help her. Dale follows her back to her Aunt's house where she is staying to make sure she is all right. He leaves later and is at the Bed and Breakfast when he falls flat on his face. Luckily Finn gets there quickly and had noticed him rubbing his leg the day before. He feels the back and realizes he has a blood clot. He immediately gives him an IV to breakup the blood clot. Dale keeps saying he has to leave, but no one will let him up. He used to be partners with DJ when DJ worked for the Dallas police department and DJ knew something bad was going on because Dale wanted to leave. The Farraday family takes him out to the family ranch to recover.

Hannah is interested in him and keeps looking around for the gray dog that everyone talked about seeing before finding their love for life, but didn't see the dog. Dale helps Hannah out with the horses and they get to know each other better. I just love the Farraday family and their small knit town. They are all great with helping out when needed with no questions asked. There is a mystery about Dale and where he came from and why he doesn't say much about himself. He is attracted to Hannah, but doesn't feel he can get too close to her until his life is straightened out. I enjoyed this story and the mystery behind Dale. This is another good book from Ms. Keniston that I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.

Hannah is my pick for "A book with a palindromic title". This is book no. 8 in the Faraday Country series, but can be read on its own, even with characters from previous books in the extended family return to support the story.

Apart from the heroine's unusual profession, there is a small element of suspense that involves Dale, the hero who used to be partners with DJ, Hannah's cousin and now the local law enforcement. Without giving the plot away, I like the pace that the story unfolds and the unlikeliest of villain who was uncovered towards the end. I also like the subtle romantic tension and how the big family come together in times of crisis to help each other.

Sweet and chaste 4-star small town romance that is great for a quick afternoon read.

The matchmaking continues in Farraday Country. Chris Keniston rolls out the red carpet for another Farraday. This time Hannah has the staring role. For this closeknit family, country living is a way of life. Farradays work hard, love unconditionally and fall in love quite quickly. Hannah is no exception. Her heart has allowed her to follow her dreams and placed her on the path of finding her perfect match. If she agrees to risk her heart and let destiny decide. My day always gets brighter and my heart lighter, whenever I step into Farraday Country. Mischief, sentiment and heart are at the core of this small town.

With the main Farraday siblings all matched up we are now reaching out to the cousins that have been slowly introduced. Hannah fit right in like she had been there all along. I loved how she is working with Connor and Catherine to get their equine therapy thing started. Seeing Hannah working with the kids was great, especially at the end when everyone at the ranch and the town worked together to for a big surprise. Turns out though that the surprise was on them as a nugget from the last book came for a visit and things weren't what they seemed at all.

This was a cute little romance with a few issues.
It's not a horrible read, but the issues make it middle of the road pedestrian.

Issues:
1. This is a sweet A.K.A clean romance. I wasn't expecting it not to be, but I was expecting it to have a lot more attraction between the MMC and MFC. The meet cute is ripe with opportunity for the characters to mention the attraction. Hannah literally keeps falling into his arms after she falls off her horse.
On top of that Hannah lives in or on the outskirts of a small town where she is related to about 1/3 of the population, take another 1/3 as being married and the teens and elderly population, and your left with 1/3 of eligible people and she's straight so take 1/2 of the last 1/3 of people as eligible bachelors.
I'm not saying that either has to be like "Man I want to F this person now." But a "really? Attraction guy rolls into town knocks me off my horse and now I keep falling into his arms... embarrassing!” thought Hannah. And "Worst time in my life for whatever's out there to have a beautiful woman fall into my arms." Thought Dale.
They do mention that there is an attraction, but there needs to be a lot more of it before the first kiss.
2. It's a dule POV and Dale tells Hannah his name is Dave since it's the worst time to have anyone come into his life, and on Hannah's POV he's referred to Dave. It's only for a couple of chapters but it's jarring and I wish there was a way to make it less so.

3. This refers to the ending so I will space just in case you don't want to read. No giving it away spoilers

The ending is rushed and doesn't make a lot of sense. I don't mind telegraphing who the hidden "bad guy" is but they also can't go against character. This one does and it makes no sense. I mean it really is laughable.

It took me a little while to get into this story. This is book 8 of this series and although it can be a standalone, I don’t recommend it. There are so many secondary characters that I could not keep them all straight. I believe that if I had read the series in order, I would have enjoyed this story so much better. This was Hannah’s story.

From what I could gather, Hannah is one of the cousins. She is an equine therapist and is starting this journey with her cousins. She has solely been focusing on getting this family business up and running and has no time for anything else until a handsome stranger crosses her path.

Dale is an undercover cop and former Marine. A recent case has sent him into hiding, but he has to make a stop before he completely goes dark. His plan is to stop in a small town to see his best friend and former Marine friend DJ and then go. A run in with Hannah and then her Aunt Eileen change his plans.

You know that Hannah and Dale have a connection, but I didn’t feel like we got to really feel that connection. There is so much going on around them it really takes away from these characters and their story. I felt like I would have really liked them too. There is a little mystery and a weird reference to a dog, which I know means something if you have read the series. So, overall, I feel like I may be reviewing this a little bit differently since I didn’t experience these characters from the start. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Whew what a whirlwind this book is. When Dale spooked Hannah's horse causing her to fall to the ground I could not have seen where this story would go.

But it was very cool. If you love tv shows with a fast pace that get to a happy ending in 60 minutes then you really will love this book.

The Farradays all love to help and Hannah's contribution is to open a rehabilitation riding stable where she helped people with emotional pain or physical pain. She was a natural.

Dale was a key witness in a big case and he was supposed to be hiding out. When he collapses and Brooks tends to him, they find that he has a blood clot in his leg. That is pretty serious so they agree to keep Dale hidden at the ranch.

That puts Dale and Hannah in close quarters again and again. Hannah is no fainting maiden. She is a tough girl who will get in your face when you anger her. These two get into it. That fire turns into passion. Well the PG version.

I must tell you that knowing where the story needed to go, when it was quickly approaching the end and it not going there I was getting antsy that the Dale story would finish in another book. Thankfully it gets where it needs to go and I was surprised when it did.

A police officer is a witness to a murder and is critically wounded and admitted to intensive care. While there he is transferred to a private room and another man is killed by those attempting to kill him. He gets away and escapes going on a long trip across TX on his motorcycle under an assumed name. The tale is a bit romance part mystery and the romance is with the sister of a fellow officer but he does not know this until later. I am not explaining this well but there is a large extended family of his fellow officer that hide him out until he is able to testify and while there he develops a blood clot and is treated for it on the ranch that does horse riding therapy for injured persons. Complicated with a close knit bunch of ladies and the entire clan (the good guys) he gets the girl and is able to testify against the killer. Convoluted story that has plenty of heart!

Sweet romance with hints of spice

This latest addition to the Farraday clan story was fantastic. Loved the chemistry between Hannah & Dale. It was realistic, sweet in spots with definitely hints of more. The care Chris Keniston took to portray equine therapy was great and left me learning something new when I finished it. The story was well developed & moved at a good pace to hold my interest till the last page. Definire6 looking forward to the next one. If you are a fan of romance, wants to check out the sweeter side of the genre or just looking for a change of pace, you won"t be disappointed with this book.

Book 8 of the Farraday Family Series and since there are only 7 in the immediate family this one involves a cousin. Dale or David who shows up in town on his motorcycle dropping by for a courtesy call with DJ the Sheriff is a mystery especially when he nearly drops dead in front of Meg from a blood clot caused by phlebitis. It’s rather startling to see a virile male drop in front of you. What caused his life threatening condition, why does DJ agree that taking the man to hospital is a bad move, and why is the man in hiding?

The book needs further editing. The author’s self-promotion is rather over the top.

REALLY REALLY good book!! Grabs you from the start with a mysterious stranger/knight in shining armor rescuing the main character. The knight has a lot of secrets that are very interesting once they start coming out. there's some SLOW BURN romance and lovely family fun and get togethers. OOOOO and the END is AWESOME!!!! Really surprised me!!
I gave it a 4 because of the wording. It was a bit hard to follow and sometimes I just stumbled over the wording, trying to figure out what was going on with the grammar n word choices. otherwise a REALLY GOOOOD mystery, slow burn. clean romance. I'd read the entire series if it was on KU.

Hannah is a cousin who is going to help carry on the series. She is helper, and equine therapist and life revolves aound helping humans grt better using hirses. She has moved Tuckers Bluff to help Connor and Catherine with their project and dream. She fits in both with the family and the town rather well. She meets Dale when she is thrown off her horse. She has a donor connection which unbeknown to her is not all she seems to be. On the day the family and the town put together a horse show things come to a head and that frees Dale from running and hiding. Like the other books in the series the stray dogs and a puppy make an appearance. Not a bad read.

Fun read

I haven't been to the states but have watched movies about the West. And I love books though I'm not sure how many are Southern.

So I'm no expert but reading Hannah and getting a glimpse of adaptive riding was a fun learning experience.

About me:
All books I read get a perfect score then I subtract as I go along if I find something lacking, so I don't really think I'm the best critic haha. But books are passports and I don't think it fair to nitpick (and/or glorify) a fictional world that has opened its doors so generously.

Hannah Farraday is an equine therapist on her family’s horse ranch. Hannah has dreams of finding her true love someday. Dale Johnson was in a motorcycle accident and the town’s doctor recommends he stay at Hannah’s family’s ranch to have therapy while he is recuperating. Dale is running from his demons after witnessing a murder. Hannah and her family have no clue why he is running away. As Hannah and Dale become romantically involved Dale must protect her from the criminals coming after him. I really enjoyed this contemporary western romance novel.

What can I say - perfect storytelling, sympathetic and mostly realistic characters, a good plot with a bit of criminal suspense thrown in, witty and funny dialogues - nothing wrong with this book except it did end.
I love the Farrady Country series, especially as you can ready all of them as standalones, with enough information summarised in each book of what happened before, so that a reader is not lost.

Loved It

Dale was trying to get some place safe. He was a police officer with the Dallas P.D. and DJ's old partner. But he actually got himself situated in a undercover sting when he saved a job members life. When he passed out from a blood clot in Meg's B&B. DJ brought to the family ranch to heal. He and Hannah met the day before when his motorcycle spooked the horse she was riding. Oh and the dog is back with a puppy.

This is a wonderful romance with a mystery. Great plot and characters. It is wonderfully written and very difficult to put down. I have not read any of the other books in this series. I did not have any problem with reading this as a stand alone book but I do look forward to reading other books in this series. Great book for animal lovers, romance and mystery lovers. I will make sure to recommend this book, series and author to my family and friends.

Book 5 Hannah. Delightful

Reading about Hannah’s passion for horses along with her family’s dedication to help others was refreshing. It was a great addition to have David aka Dale be part of Hannah’s and her family’s ranch.
I enjoyed how the kids were helped physically and emotionally through horse therapy. Great research on how to help out to the kids and also bring business/donors to run such a program.
I will be reading other books in the series.

The Farraday family saga continues with Hannah. She is great at her job and loves working with horses and children who need her help. Dale is trying to stay alive after witnessing a hit while on the job as a police officer. The attraction is there, but Dale wants to leave to stay ahead of the murderer. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Five stars

I have really enjoyed this series. I have read each of the books, in order of release and I have gotten to feel like part of the family. Being from West Texas myself, I find I loose myself in the plot. I have enjoyed the dogs a great deal, throughout this series. 👍 👍 👍 Looking forward to Ian's story. Keep up the good work!

Hannah

First time reading the series. I found this book on BookBub. I enjoyed it a lot. I would have liked to have seen more of the relationship between Dale and Hannah. There wasn't really a romance. There was one kiss. It seemed more focused on the reason Dale was hiding. Other than that, it was good and I would read more of the series.

Excellent Story

Actually these series of stories would get 5 stars from me each times if it wasn't for the language! The plots are great, the characters are great but sometimes I have to quit before I can finish the book because of the language and that is a shame because this is a great writer.

Great story with twist

if you enjoy a slow sweet romance with suspense and twists, this is your story. Hannah is starting a equine rehab center. Dale shows up and due to an injury stays at the ranch hiding out. Why he's hiding is a mystery and the ending tells all. Loved this book

Great family story!!

Great story - Chris Keniston always satisfies. The Farraday Country series has followed the romances of a large family on a ranch. Several are involved in law enforcement and quite a few work the land in different ways. Hannah is a therapist that works with disabled children. The family is lovable and they all
stick together. Enjoy!!

Lovely romance with a side of danger.

Dale is a witness to murder. Who unexpectedly meets Hannah, when his motorcycle startles her horse. Throw in complications from just surviving a murder attempt on his life. We learn about equine therapy for riders with physical/ emotional issues.

A great HEA. Thank you for a wonderful read.

Hannah and Dale

This was another great book in the Farraday Country series. I couldn’t put it down! The equine therapy/adaptive riding therapy was interesting to learn about.
The story line had a twist I didn’t expect which is always fun and the chemistry between Hannah and Dale was good right from the start.

Refreshing!

It is so nice to read a romance book that holds your interest and artfully slips in the romantic. And thankfully, NO SMUT! I'm a retired man who does like tasteful intimacy, this was refreshing. Thank you! And thanks to Amazon for prime reading that allows fixed income to read a good book.
